“A hidden gem, with wide meadows covered in wildflowers and berries, an old oak forest, apple grove, and a back section that takes you into the Douglas Firs and ferns so typical of the Pacific Northwest. This park has it all, sun and shade, wildlife sightings, and a great view of Mt. Hood. The park has bike and horse trails, and is a favorite for many on the East side of Portland.”

“Go to the front desk and buy a $6 one-day pass, and you can use the gym, pool, brilliant hot tub, and take any fitness, yoga or pilates classes you want. Take your own padlock if you want to use the lockers and be aware that not all locks fit their lockers so if you have a couple take them along!”

“This is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Portland due to the unusual set up of the streets and the beautiful rose garden in the center. Details from Wikipedia - Ladd's Addition is an inner southeast historic district of Portland, Oregon, United States. It is Portland's oldest planned residential development, and one of the oldest in the western United States.[1] The district is known in Portland for a diagonal street pattern, which is at odds with the rectilinear grid of the surrounding area. Roughly eight blocks (east-west) by ten blocks (north-south) in size (by reference to the surrounding grid), Ladd's is bordered by SE Hawthorne, Division, 12th, and 20th streets. ”
