“A beautiful nature walk near Berry. The view is exceptional! In the winter a walk at sunrise and you see the lyrebirds calling and performing. You’ll need to be relatively fit to get up the mountain and there are steep cliffs at the top so not good for small children.”

“Celebrating seasonal cooking in the Southern Highlands, Bendooley Bar and Grill is an ideal venue to take some time out from city life. With serene country views over the Bendooley Estate winery, guests are treated to Italian flavours and seasonal produce prepared on a large wood-fire oven. Expect things like gourmet pizza, steaks cooked over charcoal, slow-braised meats and seafood, designed to match the wines produced on the estate. Because the climate is colder, vines ripen the fruit much more slowly and evenly than in warm regions, producing balanced, aromatic fruit. “The best time to go is when you have a craving for good, tasty and fresh Thai food. Also great for Western bacon and eggs for week-end breakfast. Licensed and BYO (wine only-with corkage). If you like fish...go for the fish fillet with your choice of sauce.”
