Church
“The Saint Joseph Oratory is a church in Montreal, built on the northwestern side of Mount Royal. This Catholic institution is located at 3800 Queen Mary Road. The secondary element of the site is the Catholic Basilica. Unique structure, the dimensions of the basilica and its dome are impressive.”

River
“A link between the city and nature, the Lachine Canal is located in the southwest section of Montreal. Its 13.5-kilometre urban route runs between the Old Port and Lake Saint-Louis, a navigable waterway punctuated by five locks. Great place for walking, running or cycling in the summer and cross country skiing in the winter. https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/lhn-nhs/qc/canallachine”

“Okay, so I'm not actually recommending the Natatorium here. I'm recommending you set your GPS for the Natatorium and then walk directly past it to the dock at the water's edge where you can swim in the cool St-Laurent on a hot day. Pretty much anything goes here, as long as you're pleasant, and nobody will give you trouble for lounging in the water with a drink on a beautiful day. One of my absolute favourite places in town.”

“The 14.5 km canal which passes through the Island of Montreal’s southwest is called Lachine Canal. Lachine is considered to be the gateway to a network of canals which link the Atlantic Ocean to the heart of the North American continent and is considered a National Historic Site.”

Park
“Just amazing, no matter the season. Exit through the basement, cross the street, and there you are. A real forest in the middle of the city. You can really get lost there - I have many times! A joggers' and dog walkers' paradise as well. Surrounded by mansions, and there's a wonderful view of Montreal on one side - see if you can find it :) ”
