“** One of my favorite local spots. It serves a great variety of local and national beers and serves great cocktails. Also serves *amazing brussel sprouts.* They hold Quizzo on Sunday nights. Attached to a cute & bougie bottle shop. ”

Ethiopian Restaurant
“The chair cushions are worn through, the floor sags, and the service is leisurely, but it all adds to the comfortable charm at Abyssinia, where locals know they can find some of the best Ethiopian food in Philly. The stew-like dishes — including several vegetarian and vegan options — are scooped up with perfectly thin, spongy, slightly sour injera bread, used in place of utensils. Up a narrow staircase from the dining room is Fiume, a thimble-sized dive bar with an enviable whiskey list.”

Ethiopian Restaurant
“This is a place to take a party where only some of the people are feeling adventurous about trying Ethiopian food. They make delicious food, but they are one of the only Ethiopian/Eritrean places (there are several in west philly) that will also make a burger. In good weather, they also have a gorgeous outdoor area in the back.”

“Located across the street from West Philly’s expansive Clark Park, this aptly named neighborhood bar and restaurant from the folks behind Local 44 offers intriguing pizza like the Potato Pie (Yukon gold potatoes, cream, smoked mozzarella, red onion), shareable plates like warm cauliflower salad and ricotta-stuffed peppadews, and a stellar selection of beers and wines on draft.”
