Café
“It's really cool with ethically sourced ingredients and home cooking, great for just a coffee or lunch and to hang out.”

Corner Shop
“Like many small communities, our essentials are delivered by The Co-operative. It's a small store but has most of what you'll need saving you the 8 mile round trip to the supermarkets in Penzance. The team are friendly. You can get cash back. But you will probably have to queue. Don't worry, relax into it, it's part of being in St Just.”

“St Just doesn't offer gourmet yet, but The Kings is a good place to eat. It's a St Austell Ales pub with a couple of beers on all the time. Wednesday night is quiz night, but it doesn't start until 9.00 so you can eat before, then join in the light hearted quiz. And of course, above all, it's in the amazing town of St Just.”

“This little gallery on Fore Street is a one man show with all work for sale at sensible prices. Mostly monochrome and locally inspired, a short explanation from Stuart will bring the pieces to life for you. I love it.”

Art Gallery
“West Cornwall is well endowed with art galleries, in St Just we have a few including the interesting Kurt Jackson Foundation. Jane Adams Gallery is one of the selling galleries with a range of work from Jane and many other local makers. While it may look a bit of a jumble from the window it's worth a poke around as there are often hidden gems there.”

Park
“The Plain. Unless you're told otherwise the Plain in St Just is just a nice green field in the middle of town. In actual fact the Plain-an-Garry is the oldest theatre in Britain, pre-dating Shakespeare's Globe by more years than anyone can remember or guess at. It was originally used to preform the Miracle Plays in, and in recent years the Ordinal cycle has been revived. It's also the centre of the Lafrowda Festival as well as many other events and plays during the year. The huge rocks in a small circle were used for rock drilling competitions using hand drills - blinking hard work, but then the miners had to be hard men.”
