German Restaurant
$$
“Authentic German eats. Decent brunch. They have indoor mini golf, which is pretty cool, as well as a couple of Bocce Ball areas. The patio is great when the weather is warmer. It's located in the heart of Stadium District where there are plenty of other restaurant choices and it's right next to Wright Park, one of the largest city parks in the country. A visit to Tacoma without seeing Wright Park is not complete.”

Bar

“Famous 83 year old Tacoma bar with an outstanding beer list. Monday nights are Randall nights where they take a standard beer and run it through whatever Sean thinks will send it next level - usually more hops, fruit, and/or sometimes even chocolate, coffee, and marshmallows. I think I've seen him put Butterfinger candy bars in there. They have a small patio out front that is perfect for enjoying a nice afternoon or evening. There is a pool table in the back, as well as a few other games. ”

“Really friendly staff and excellent quality coffee and treats in a funky russian cosmonaut themed cafe right next to Wright Park. My favorite Saturday morning is a rainy walk thru the park to Cosmonaut for a delicious latte and a macrina bakery pastry....”

High School
“Originally built to be a terminus railroad hotel in a French Chateau style in the 1880's. The company went bankrupt in the panic of 1893 and sat dormant and unfinished until Tacoma Public Schools bought it and turned it into Tacoma's first High School in 1906 along with a huge stadium that could seat 1,000's and was used as a spot for major West Coast engagements and gathering for decades. Presidents such as Theodore Roosevelt spoke there! It went through a major remodel about 15 years ago wherin TPS did its best to retain and restore as many original elements as possible.”
