“The impressive Aquatics Centre, one of the 2012 Olympic Games’ iconic venues, is now open to the public For about £5, you can go for a swim in the Olympic pool in this wonderfully light and sunny building. To nurture your inner child, try one of the Aqua Splash sessions where they put giant inflatables into the pool. ”

Bar
$$
“Number 90 Bar & Kitchen is a well-known and much-loved, canal-side venue in Hackney Wick, offering fantastic food made from locally sourced produce; an expansive drink menu – including an array of exciting cocktails and, as you might expect, a strong range of craft beers; art and music events; and phenomenal service. Aware that it is celebrated for its relaxed and welcoming vibe, Sated sauntered on down to this old favourite to try something a little different – an off-the-menu burger that was it was rumoured would bring us to our knees.”

Brewery
“Here's another hidden gem. This one is right next to CRATE Brewery. It has more variety in terms of beers, and the space is slightly bigger if you're trying to find a table. In terms of food, there's a great BBQ joint in Howling Hops as well as some other snacks you can get. Definitely worth the visit!”

Breakfast Spot
“Act out your teen fantasies and wallow in ‘80s nostalgia at this cluttered, ersatz homage to John Hughes’s cult movie – and tribute to the most important meal of the day. Breakfast takes centre stage (natch), but this branch of the popular Breakfast Club chain runs right through from brunch to dinner.”
