Just booked in Studland Bay

The house is very cool and quirky and suitable for families and friend groups wanting to have fun on the beach and on the water. It is situated on the Sandbanks Peninsula. It is one of a handful of properties that has direct access at the back of the garden onto the beach and to Poole Harbour at the front of the house. It has amazing views from every room in the house - it has the feeling of being in a boat. All rooms can be made into double rooms instead of single bed configuration.
The house is situated on the Sandbanks Peninsula with direct access at the back of the garden onto the beach and to Poole Harbour at the front of the house. It has amazing views from every room in the house - and almost has the feeling of being in a boat. It is the ONLY house that is let for holidays on this stretch so it is unique. It is deceptively large (approx 4000 square feet internally) so there is plenty of room for everyone - especially as the lounge and games room allow for two completely separate areas to relax in. It also benefits from a huge garden that is approx 50 metres long and parking for 5 cars at the front of the house. This saves on excessive parking charges in the area! Everyone who has visited Sandbanks knows this house - it was the first modern house built on the peninsula when it was still a literal sandbank. It won the house of the year award in 1974 for its innovative architecture - being cantilevered and made of concrete and glass. It is definitely one of a kind! It is a lovely quirky house to have fun in. It has a great fun interior - my boys call it the "Happy House"! The top floor has five bedrooms - one of which (a bunk room) is annexed off the largest bedroom. The largest room/bunk room (sleeps 4/2) has an ensuite. the other three rooms (one room sleeps 4, one room 3 and one room 2) have access to a shower room and toilet. The single beds in each room (3 on top floor and one on bottom floor) can be pushed together to create super king size doubles on request. The middle floor is an open plan living and dining space with a large sofa, fire and TV. The kitchen and dining room (breakfast bar) are designed to seat a large group. There is a B and O TV system on this floor with Apple TV with access to over 155 films downloaded (mainly children's movies!) Netflix can also be played through this TV. The bottom has one bedroom and a large private 'games room' (table football/sofas/TV/fridge/stereo system) with access to the garden. It is a fantastic room with amazing wall art. This also has sofa beds that can be utilised. The utility room is also on this floor with a shower room and washer and dryer. The house has been designed to have fun - for family/friendship groups. 3/4 families can stay comfortably in the house. The outside space at the back of the house is decked with a large seating area. The garden has been astro turfed and has a giant sandpit called "shark island" for children (and adults) to have fun in! There is a large storage area which has lots of fun beach/water activities including paddle boards, buckets and spades, balls etc. There is also a Table tennis table in the garden. The garden is secure at the front and back with a locked/coded gate. It is a fabulous location and the interior is completely different to what is expected!! It really is an amazing house that you will find very difficult to leave!
The area is unique as it has access to the water on two sides - Harbour and beach. Sandbanks is probably one of the best known stretches of beach in the UK.

The house is amazing in itself, location is perfect, Sarah has been an amazing host from day 1... we were a group of 16 men on a weekend away but everyone wants to return yearly but also with their families. Great facilities and everything you could want from a house. The garden is a dream for the kids and the equipment available means you don't have to take anything with you for entertaining the little ones.   • The house is wonderful, every detail carefully thought through. Furnished tastefully and comfortably with originality oozing from every feature. Well equipped kitchen and dining facilities (indoors and outdoors), fantastic games-room and comfortable bedrooms. Amazing views from literally every window in the house – and there’s lots of windows! This has to be the best location on the most sought after peninsula in the UK. Direct access to Sandbanks beach from the garden and there’s plenty of beach/water-sports equipment from buckets & spades to paddle-boards and life-jackets. Sea views on both sides of the house and there’s a Tesco express 2mins walk away! Sarah is a fantastic host; approachable, reachable and accommodating. She definitely goes the extra mile for her guests…. We will definitely be coming back. Just be warned, however long you stay, it won’t be enough – it’s that amazing!

    Our idilic family bungalow is perched on the edge of a cliff with stunning views overlooking Swanage bay. Only 12 minutes walk to Swanage town centre with the beach and nearby shops on our doorstep, this is the perfect spot for a short break, a quiet and convenient place to stay if working or for doorstep access to the many internationally renowned Jurassic Coast walks. We do not generally accept pets, but please note we have a friendly old Collie, a cat and chickens. * Breakfast is continental.

    Our lovely sunny self contained annexe has its own front entrance and lobby, a modern shower en-suite, a comfortable double bed, access to the garden and deck and a sitting area with table and chairs. There are glorious westward views over the countryside and sea views from the deck. This is a No smoking property and we would prefer smokers to book elsewhere.
    We love to welcome guests to our attractive countryside home. Our style is eclectic with a mix of modern, quirky and old. We enjoy art, music, cooking and nature as well as keeping fit. The Croft is an annexe on the side of our house. It is a 35 square metre suite which benefits from light throughout the day and has all amenities required for you to enjoy your stay. An entrance lobby with en-suite shower room leads into the main bedroom and sitting area. We have books, games and DVDs in the room for you to borrow as well as maps and local walk books. There is a separate small kitchen/utility area which is suitable for making breakfasts and snacks and a supply of kitchen utensils and crockery as well as a few food basics. The washer/drier and back door here are shared with us.
    Situated in an area 'outstanding natural beauty' our accommodation is perfectly located for a short break or a longer holiday. We are in close proximity to the amenities and beaches of Studland and have glorious coastal walking on our doorstep with the pathways, cycle routes and bridleways of Studland Heath and Ballard Down just minutes away.
  • Virginia and Andy were great hosts. We stayed for a week and were comfortable in the room. The kitchen contains everything you need to make small meals. The view from the breakfast table is lovely. The cottage is about a 15min walk downhill to the beach and a slightly longer climb back up. The beach cafe does bacon butties and ice cream. Local pub is good for a drink. Area is beautiful, local buses can take you to Swanage for steam train and also to Sandbanks for beautiful sandy beaches. Recommend for a peaceful stay in a lovely location!

  • The balcony of the room overlooks endless fields. We slept with the doors open and woke up to the birds singing, it was lovely. Virginia didn't mind us coming and going and leaving our sweaty sports equipment everywhere. She very kindly let us use the shower after our bike the bathroom even though we were meant to have checked out earlier. Such a lovely stay. We travel to Dorset a lot. This is the place I'd chose to stay next time we visited.

  • The Croft is a wonderful and tranquil place to stay. The accommodation was perfect for my husband and I - plenty of room and the little kitchenette (which is also the host's utility room) is large enough to cook simple meals. Towels, including beach ones, were provided which was great not to worry about bringing them. We brought our (mostly immobile) 8 month old and Virginia and Andy made us feel very welcome with her, including putting out some very exciting toys for her to play with. There was enough room in the vestibule to put her crib up. I wouldn't bring a baby who can crawl though as it's not baby proofed - which Virginia did tell us before we booked. Luckily our baby can't crawl just yet! The view is spectacular and it's in walking distance (though the house is up a very steep hill!) to beaches and coastal paths and the village shop. Virginia had some great suggestions of where to go, including cream tea at Holme Garden Centre which is a 25mins drive - you could spend a whole afternoon there in the gorgeous gardens and PYO fruit. We'd absolutely come again when we are next in Studland. Thank you Virginia and Andy for a wonderful first family holiday.

    Flat 6 Golden gates is a beautifully situated property with views over the sea and over towards the Purbecks, with a spacious balcony what better way to enjoy the fantastic sunrises and sunsets of Sandbanks. With short walks to the main beach and to the Sandbanks chain ferry which you can travel as a foot passenger over to Shell bay and onto Studland beach.
    The apartment has three bedrooms, sleeps 6 and there is parking for two cars and a garage, which makes it ideal for a larger family to holiday together by the sea. Situated on the first floor, the apartment can be reached by the lift or stairs.     Hi, my flat is a Gr Floor & just 3 mins to the beach or Ferry to Studland. Babysitting is possible too by qualified Nanny in same building. Full of adventures from Old Harry Rocks & the Jurassic Coastline to the long sandy beaches stretching past Bournemouth to Christchurch. Fabulous walks, bike riding & every water sport you can wish for there are oodles of things to do. Fabulous fish restaurant in walking distance & cafe for all day breakfast! All are welcome to enjoy this beautiful place :)
    My apartment has everything you need in it from an iron & ironing board to corkscrew and a coffee machine. There is a dishwasher / washing machine /fridge freezer and all the cutlery / plates / pans you will need to have a complete self catering experience. The double bedroom has a TV and also the single bedroom which has BUNK BEDS, however they are large enough to suit adults as well. There is a travel cot if required and a high chair. The sitting room has a TV and music player. There is a balcony accessed by double doors from the sitting room and a great place to have breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening.
    Sandbanks is unique in it's geography and location. It has an amazing history and also loads to do. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and a short distance is the National Trust area of Studland full of wildlife and more beautiful beaches. It is also the beginning of the Jurassic Coastline with areas for fossil collecting. Arne is also close by, an area in Poole Harbour famous for bird watching, recently featured by Winter Watch on BBC1
  • This homely flat is in a fabulous location, just minutes from the beautiful Sandbanks beach. Property was clean and spacious and nicely decorated and furnished. I stayed with my three children and had plenty of room. Kitchen is fully fitted so I cooked most evenings. Washing machine was also a bonus as was the decking outside. Katrina was very keen that we enjoyed our stay and was helpful and friendly throughout.

    This is a one bedroom apartment with separate living room and shower room with off-street parking for one car. It is part of a Victorian Villa at the North End of Swanage Bay which has been divided into six. The apartment has great views and is ideally positioned for the beach and restaurants - only 100m from the sandy beach - and a 10 minute stroll along the sea front into town. Unfortunately the lease does not allow pets.
    Small but perfectly formed. The Bedroom has a double bed, chest of drawers and hanging rail with hangers. From the window in the bedroom you can see Swanage Bay. The Living Room has a sofa bed and 32" TV - If you require the bedding for the sofa please book as if for three people so that we know to make both beds - there will be a small additional charge for this. One end is dedicated to the Kitchenette with electric oven, hob, sink and fridge. The shower room has an electric shower.
    The surrounding walks both to the north, south and even east are fantastic but a little hilly for those who struggle.

  • This little apartment was exacrly what we needed when visiting the area with our toddler for a wedding. Swanage is lovely and you can walk from here. Clean, modern and everything you would need. I hadnt realised we wouldnt have wifi but it wasnt too much of a problem as we had great signal and 4g. The only downsides were the parking which we found quite a tricky space to negotiate (especially when getting a toddler in and out) and also the stairs with all the bags, cot etc but its not too bad. I would recommend this apartment and the area.

    The property is located in Sandbanks, famous for its high property values, you’ll find the beach is sandy and flat with shallow waters making it a popular site for water sports, especially windsurfing and parasailing. Take the chain ferry from Sandbanks to Studland and head up to Old Harry Rocks where you’ll be greeted with amazing views of the coastline. On the way back why not stop and quench your thirst in the local pub or even have a spot of lunch.
  • The apartment is in a great location, 2 minute walk to the beach, 10 minutes to the harbour. There's a lovely cafe nearby and Rick Stein's restaurant as well as The Haven Hotel. Quite high end dining but both Rick Stein and The Haven welcome children, Rick Stein does takeaway fish and chips. The rooms are a good size, the master bedroom is light and airy. The kitchen and bathroom are a little tired but they are fine and the rest of the apartment more thank makes up for it.

  • We really enjoyed our holiday at this very well located flat just a few minutes walk from the beach and the ferries, in a quiet, residential area. The flat is comfortable although maybe a little basic and in need of some minor improvements. (The parking space numbers are behind the hedge!) We didn't have any need to contact the host at any point (which is a good sign) but the communications leading up to the booked dates were good. I am not sure we would stay in this flat again based on some of the minor annoyances, but definitely would for the location if there was nothing better value nearby.

  • Austin and Gabrielle's apartment was beautifully appointed and equipped with everything one needed for a wonderful stay away from home. Comfy bed, clean linen and towels, coffee and smoothie maker machine, fully equipped kitchen with complimentary tea all made for a warm welcome. Details of recommended places to eat and local walks etc. was much appreciated, along with clear instructions as to how to operate hot water and other household items. Small patio area with table and chairs and glorious sea views made breakfasting outside a delight. All in all, so very peaceful and quiet with the only nighttime sound of the waves gently breaking on the sands below. This is the place to go for a complete break. The only one slight drawback being there was no bath. However, the shower worked perfectly well and in fact we found that we didn't miss the bath one bit! We loved every moment of our stay and were sad when the time came to leave.

  • What a fantastic place to stay, just a short walk to the beach and town of Swanage. Gabrielle and Austin provided very detailed information about the flat and the surrounding area including things to see and do. Check in was very straight forward. The views of the sea from the garden are stunning especially in the evening when the sun is setting. I would recommend the flat for a short stay in Swanage, so much to see and do nearby. Thanks for a great stay would definitely stay here again in the future.

  • Great flat and perfect location for the South West Coast Path or a walk to Corfe Castle. Wonderful views of the sea and easy walk into town. Neighbours were very friendly. Flat itself was very clean with everything you need. Instructions provided were clear and the owners were helpful and prompt in their communication. A couple of small issues were that I was travelling with a friend and intended to use the sofa bed as the extra bed (having checked it was suitable before booking). While this maybe fine for one night it was very uncomfortable with 2 metal bars running horizontally at shoulder and hip height. After 2 nights trying to find the ideal position I resorted to the floor. This might be because I am short (5ft) but even so, I suggest the flat is really best for a single person or couple sharing the main bed. Also parking during holiday times might not be easy. While there are 3 visitor parking spaces 2 of these were blocked off with cones and the street was full. We were lucky most of the time though and it may well be better out of holiday time. Note that BT open wifi is pretty pricey - @£5-6 per day. That said - the flat and location are certainly great and owners very friendly - would recommend.

  • We loved our stay here so much. The outdoor space (which, though communal, was never being used by anyone else) and view of the sea is really ravishing, it's hard to believe you're in England! I am not usually an early riser but got up early several mornings to catch the spectacular sunrise. The flat was very comfortable and well-equipped, and just generally has a lovely atmosphere - we felt very at home. Despite it being mid-September we managed to swim every day (ok it was cold, but very worth it!), and the private access from the flats direct to the beach feels very special. The flat is very conveniently located close to town and shops and pubs, but despite this you feel tucked away and in a sort of magical place. There is also a magnificent and very friendly ginger Persian cat called Dougal living next door, which was a big bonus from our point of view! One small issue was we struggled with the BT OpenZone, not sure if this was our problem or something to do with the providers. When we did get it working it would only work in one area of the flat. Our phones had 3G/4G though so it was fine really! We really hope to visit again! Thank you to Gabrielle and Austin for sharing this lovely place.

  • Shore Point is a wonderfully relaxing place to stay in such a great location! We arrived to a lovely welcome package that is a real treat for all and is a lovely gesture. The place is great for the family and we all loved the open light airy feeling and open access to the garden throughout. A 5 minute stroll and your on the lovely beaches or a bit further up the road to the local restaurant, Rick Steins, which serves a mean cocktail and great food.     The Sands Studio with its view of the sea stands in the garden of an Edwardian seaside home; situated opposite a short 100 yard footpath straight onto the beach. Breakfast is strictly vegetarian. People requiring vegan, Gluten free and other dietary requirements are welcome. The room is also available on a vegetarian self-catering basis The Sands Studio is en-suite, with wifi, 100% cotton linen and towels, kingsize bed, chair bed and a cot or air-bed, television, dvd player, and kitchenette.
    Accommodation is 1 king size double bed, a chair-bed single and if required an air-bed for a fourth person. It is fine for 2 adults and 2 small children. 4 adults will fit but might find it a little cramped. Bed linen is 100% cotton The kitchen includes a combination microwave/grill/fan oven, 2 ring hob, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle. Tea and coffee are included. For breakfast, you can either have it catered in the house, ingredients left in the room for you to have when you like or fully self-catering (must be vegetarian) There is wi-fi and a TV with a dvd player built in along with a selection of DVDs, also a radio with CD player There is an en-suite toilet and shower room with heated towel rail, also a dehumidifier in case you have been out walking in the rain a and are having trouble drying out When it is warm, the room can be opened up into the garden.
    Burlington Road is a cul-de-sac and is therefore very quiet. There is a corner shop 5 minutes walk away and The Crows Nest pub which has a restaurant is 2 - 3 minutes walk away. The Bull & Boat is 5 minutes walk and town centre is 15 minutes walk. Burlington Chine beach down the path opposite our car park has a public toilet and two cafes which are only open during the day.

Hamish is an excellent host who provides a great vegetarian breakfast too. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed ... including broadband.   • This appartment has a great location at lovely Sandbanks. An excellent base for exploring the Jurassic Coast, Studland and just enjoying Sandbanks Beach and harbour. Also the couple living in the appartment downstairs are very warm and welcoming people, which made our stay even more pleasant. A nice little touch was a welcome with a nice bottle of White Wine and some chocolate biscuits to start off your holiday. Only one little minus is that there is no dishwasher. The kids however, learned how to do the dishes by hand.

And the 2 parking spaces were much appreciated, given that most of the parking in the surrounding streets is on a meter! The only improvement would be to have larger sofas in the living room as we found these a bit of a squeeze for 5 adults. But would definitely stay again.

  • This is a great little place to stay quiet and family friendly. Short walk to sandbanks beach and ferry crossing to studland bay. Had we been luckier with the weather it would have been the perfect UK holiday. I would definitely recommend this place for any family with children of all ages nice size and well furnished and great value for money. Even on rainy days it was only a short drive to Splashdown indoor water park which was a real hit with the children and only £15pp for a 6 hour visit.

    Sandbanks is a small peninsula which contains some of the most expensive houses and land in the country, in fact Sandbanks is becoming as famous for its well know residents and lavish lifestyles of some of its occupants as it is for its beach. The area is well served by restaurants, now including Rick Steins. One of the most famous and unique attractions of Sandbanks is the Sandbanks Chain Ferry which shuttles across the mouth of Poole Harbour between Sandbanks and the National Trust beaches of Studland, just a moments walk from Shore Point. The beach is of the finest quality and meets all of the European standards. The water is clean and safe; the beaches fine and golden sand gradually slopes away into the water ensuring it is safe for even the smallest of children. There are Lifeguards on duty during the main season ( 1 May – 30 Sept) and there is also a First Aid post if required. There is a wide selection of water-sports available from the beach including parascending, inflatables, Ringos, kayaks, jet-ski hire and much more.

  • We needed a base in the Sandbanks area and were delighted to find this flat - just a 5 minute stroll from the beach and the chain ferry for Studland and beyond. We were greeted with a substantial welcome hamper and the flat was spacious, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The south facing balcony was a real bonus. It was also very useful to have secured, garage parking for our car. We found Jacqueline easy to deal with and the arrival instructions were clear and concise. There is also a very comprehensive guide to the area provided in the flat by Jacqueline.   • This is a cosy flat, with two very nice bedrooms, one on suite, the other just across a small corridor. The living/dining room is quite small but OK for 4 people if you are out most of the time. The flat is extremely well kept and very clean, has a large screen TV and some books and games. The kitchen has every piece of equipment you will need for cooking and eating/drinking and a fridge freezer, but it has no dish washer if this is important to you and also there is little cupboard space for keeping food as the cupboards are all full of crockery, glasses and cooking dishes. But this may not be important to you if you are mainly eating out and eateries are within easy reach. Good fish and chips in Swanage! The road is very quiet at night - great for sleeping well. But above all - you are literally 2 minutes walk down an alley across the road from north beach which, once you get past the chines, goes on for a long way and is totally unspoiled. You are also in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with fantastic coastal and country walking and cosy traditional pubs in many of the surrounding villages. We have been twice to Caroline's flat in winter and we love it.

    Flat 1 at The Ferryboat Apartments is a compact fully furnished one bedroom ground floor apartment with optional additional sleeping facilities in a spacious lounge/dining room. It has on-site parking and is located in North Swanage alongside the Ulwell Stream which runs through the gardens. It's only 100 metres from the beach at Ocean Bay and roughly 10 mins walk along Shore Road into the town. The Ferryboat Apartments was formerly a pub and converted into flats at the turn of the millennium.
    The kitchen is fully equipped with electric hob & oven, fridge (but no freezer), microwave, washing machine, toaster, kettle and all cooking utensils, crockery, glassware, cutlery and other accessories that might be required (including cleaning liquids and towels.) The modern central heating boiler is controlled by a freestanding roomstat located in the internal hallway connecting all 4 rooms. The bathroom is of standard design with a full size bath and fitted shower. Both hand and bath towels are provided but if you prefer a large bath sheet then please bring your own. There is ample storage space to hang clothes in both the main bedroom and lounge. There are views from the lounge onto Ulwell Road.
    There are many websites that provide useful information for visitors to Swanage. Search for virtual swanage; visit dorset (swanage and purbeck); visit swanage and durlston country park as well as swanage tourist information. Ballard Down, Old Harry Rocks and Durlston Castle are all within reasonable walking distance. A little further afield are attractions such as Corfe Castle (NT), Monkey World, the Tank Museum and the Blue Pool.

Communication was always good and he didn't mind if we left after the departure time but we had to make an early start that day so couldn't take advantage of this. Would use again without hesitation as was in such a great location, ideal for beach which meant no car parking fees!

Would recommend if you want a reasonable priced stay with some Great local attractions/walking spots such as Durlston country park.   • Wonderful location! Close to nature and a ten minute walk to the middle of swanage, but the house is conveniently tucked away so it's nice and quiet. The appartment has everything you need and you certainly get a lot of space for your money. Communication and check in/out was easy. We were greeted by David and Jill's daughter who was very kind and explained everything we needed to know. She was also just around the corner of we needed anything or had questions. The other neighbours were very friendly and quiet as well. All in all a cosy and convenient place for any type of trip.

    Large, detached family home very close to the beach in North Swanage. Spacious reception rooms, and bedrooms, with plenty of bathrooms. Two wood burning stoves, an Aga, and plenty of off-street parking.
    You will find lots of space here. Most rooms are generous and light, with high ceilings. We are slowly renovating the house and currently there is a mixture of freshly decorated rooms, and rooms that are on the decorating hit-list.<br/> Living room: A large front room with bow window, television, wood-burning stove, and plenty of seating with two sofas, and an arm chair. Dining room: Similar size to the living room with bow window, wood burning stove, large table with chairs, and additional sofa. Kitchen: Large kitchen with Aga, fridge, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, butler sink, essential kitchen utensils, plus cutlery, glasses, cups, dishes etc. Utility room: An additional gas cooker available if the Aga isn't your thing! Another sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board etc. Annexe bedroom and en-suite shower (Ground floor): Lots of space with own entrance, en-suite shower-room, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and chair, king-size bed, TV, and sofa. First floor bedrooms: Two double bedrooms (one en-suite), both king-size beds, with wardrobes, and chest of drawers. One twin room with wardrobe, and chest of drawers. One small single room with chest of drawers. On the first floor there is a small family bathroom with shower, bath, sink, and toilet. There is an additional single toilet next door. Top Floor Family Bathroom: Absolutely huge family bathroom, large shower enclosure, free-standing bath, and all the other bits you would expect. Top floor bedroom: Finally, another king-size double-room with chest of drawers. We currently live here with our two small children, there are some child safety features like child locks on cupboards containing cleaning products, but the Aga is hot all of the time, and not all furniture is tethered to the walls, so as usual please ensure the children are supervised at all times.
    Great area, very close to the beach, with pubs, cafes, and restaurants close by. Swanage itself is roughly one mile away via a pleasant walk along the beach.
  • 4 couples stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of October to celebrate a miestone birthday and enjoy the Swanage Blues Festival. The house was ideal for us as it has 4 king sized bedrooms each with access to a private bath or shower room. On arrival it felt spacious, clean and welcoming. All the facilities were well thought through and generous. The kitchen was warmed by an Aga and spacious, as were all the communal spaces. Ample off-road parking for at least 4 cars. The location was perfect for us, set on a hill away from the bustle of the town but within 15 minutes walk: 5 minutes downhill to the beach and 10 along the Shore road into the centre. There was good transport links nearby to the local areas. The local pub The Crow's Nest is 2 minutes walk away, offering good food. This was a great choice of accommodation. Communication with Carl was friendly, quick and helpful. He answered all our questions before arrival and the house manual was easy to follow and comprehensive. An excellent stay overall.

  • I stayed at William's beautiful penthouse with some of my family members. We were delighted with the accommodation which has a lovely light and airy feel to it. The beds were amazingly comfortable and although the sofas in the lounge were not so as they are sofa beds, we were very comfortable relaxing in various ways. Located just a few moments walk away from the beautiful sandy beach of Swanage Bay. Each morning I took a short 10 minute walk via the promenade into the quaint town to buy amazing fresh bread and croissants for breakfast from the superb little Haynans bakery (8 Institute Way). William was a great host, communicated well and timely right from my initial enquiry, throughout the booking process and during our stay. I can't recommend William's penthouse enough - it's the perfect space to share with family and friends alike. In the few days since being home, I have deliberated over dates to return in 2017 and am delighted to be visiting again not once but twice!   • This apartment is a excellent choice to explore Swanage and the surrounding area. It is in a great location as its less than 5 minutes walk to the beach and town centre. Its very spacious inside and would easily sleep 3 couples or two families if you throw the kids together in one room (or let some kids sleep on the sofas which were sofa beds). It has its own parking right outside and lift to the door. It was well furnished. We had a slight problem with the boiler (just had to find the right switch!) and Bill was very helpful in trying to find a solution for us. He even phoned me back the next day to make sure everything was ok. As a bonus Bill offers you 25% of a meal at his restaurant in Swanage and although we didnt take him up on his offer would do next time. Would definitely recommend staying here whatever you're situation.
