This place is an easy walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. Jose is a wonderful host.

We stayed at José’s place for a week. He truly has set up a great place to unwind. The cottage was cute and had everything that we needed. His property is beautiful. His plants and trees and pool make for a very relaxing atmosphere. He is very knowledgeable about Costa Rica and obviously cares very deeply for his country. It was great fun to talk with him. José and his family made us feel very welcome offering suggestions on local things to do. When it was time for us to leave he set up a taxi for us. We didn’t have a car but didn’t mind walking. There is a hill involved but it wasn’t a big deal. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Jose’s place to others.

Very clean. 10-15 minute walk to a fabulous beach with lots of restaurants- good food. It’s a bit of a hike up a dusty road but that’s the same as many places in Tamarindo unless you can afford $400 night. It comes with great pool and is very secluded, apart from the construction going on around it. That being said, we weren’t around during the day anyway. Jose was very quick to respond to any questions. You should be aware that there is more than one Casa Tranquila in Tamarindo. Our Ecotrans driver got lost for a bit.

My wife and I went for our first trip with our 8 month old daughter and had an amazing time. Jose was very accommodating and the pool was fantastic. We rented a golf cart for our stay and it really helped with getting around. We would definitely recommend staying at Jose's!!!

Joses place is just fantastic. Its a quick walk to town and the beach. The pool is amazing to relax at. Jose himself is a fantastic host, full of tips and advice and clearly has a great deal of intrest in the local community and future of the town. Highly recommend.

Great place to explore Tamarindo without being in the busy centre. Little private, relaxing escape with great accommodation and pool. Slight hill getting to it but we managed with sling and buggy for evening meals. José was a great host and gave local tips for family friendly places and was on hand for any questions we had. Loved our stay.

Loved staying at Jose’s beautiful bungalow to end our trip to CR. It is walking distance to town, many restaurants, Volcano brewery and the beach. Beautiful garden and pool!

Loved staying at Marina’s Casa Mambo with my girlfriend. The house is well designed and I could tell immediately this was a passion project from the couple. My favorite part of the house was the outdoor kitchen. I woke up early every morning to catch the sunrise while cooking breakfast. The house is centrally located right in the heart of Tamarindo and very close walk to the beach. We will definitely be looking to stay here again!

We have traveled a lot and this airbnb is perfection and remarkably clean. The beauty of the place, the proximity of the restaurants and the little touches are idyllic!

This is a really nice space and central to town. It’s tucked away from the Main Street and all its hustle and bustle and very peaceful. It’s located next to a supermarket and about 10 min walk to the beach.

This is a great place with great location close to all the goings on in Tamarindo. Hosts are wonderful willing to help with all requests.

You can totally immerse yourself into the Tamarindo life here. It's just steps from everything but also off the beaten path. Marinas home is the IDEAL lodging venue for those who want the real life experience with everything you need and never-ending character without the commercialism of hotels. I cannot recommend Marinas home enough. A+++ !!!

Great place, great location!

Fantastic little villa in Costa Rica. We really enjoyed our stay here. Close to coffee shops, a grocery store and the beach. We felt totally safe and were really able to really relax.

We had the best time staying at Casa Mambo on our honeymoon! The house was very clean, we had everything we needed within walking distance, and it was absolutely beautiful!

The other reviews are accurate: Casa Blue is a phenomenal home. I've stayed with groups at first-tier Air BnB's across the globe, and Casa Blue is without question the best I've stayed, anywhere. The house is just gorgeous. Every touch and finish is thought through and perfectly done. The hosts are incredibly responsive. The caretakers are friendly and keep the house immaculate. This was my second stay at Casa Blue. I will be returning again in the future. It's just the best.

This was by far the most outstanding Airbnb stay ever. The pictures don’t do justice to the actual house even though they are beautiful. When you walk in you feel something magical. The place is an indoor outdoor architectural masterpiece. We have not missed a sunset or sunrise. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Carmen comes to clean every day and so does Elgin who maintains and cleans the pool and the surroundings. The Villa is 15 minutes from tamarindo, but a quick drive to Playa grande or flamingo which are both amazing. The only downfall is the house is so amazing we never wanted to leave. There is also this amazing breakfast and smoothies spot called pots and bowls we would go to everyday I highly recommend it it’s 5 minutes from casa blue. We saw monkeys and all kinds of crazy wildlife! I’m already looking forward to going back to Costa Rica and booking this house again. 10 days wasn’t enough! Thanks for everything! Pura vida 🌈🤙🏾

It is hard to describe how idyllic this spot is until you arrive. When you first step out on the deck, any challenges faced completely disappear. And, Alejandra was awesome. We stayed 7 nights and I think I emailed her questions of what to do and where to go every day- responses were awesome and immediate. Very special spot!

La Casa Blue is spectacular! The main house and 2 bungalows are extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The pool area was our family’s favorite part of the house. The poolside area offers amazing views, a gentle breeze, an oversized hut to stay out of the sun and colorful tropical flowers. We had an amazing visit spending quality time together in paradise. The house staff, Joselyn and Elyin, are wonderful and very hard working. They keep the house and property in 5 star condition. I truly felt like we were staying at a Four Seasons resort. Excellent service from both of them.

We have travelled to many wonderful places around the world and relaxation, cleanliness and comfort are all number one for where we stay. The Casa Blue has all of these and more. We had high expectations looking at all the photos from the website and how great Alejandra was with helping us prepare for our visit. When we got there we thought it was even better than our high expectations. My wife and I stayed by ourselves and we had the best experience. We stayed in the master suite and we had it cool in the evening and then open air during the day as we lounged around the pool. We had a private chef (Fabien) who made wonderful meals and a masseuse (Caroline) who gave wonderful professional massages on our veranda in the evening as the sun set and birds sang to us. We made meals at home and the house had everything we needed. Pura Vida at its best. We can’t wait to return.

The house was just as amazing as the pictures and we were blown away by the view, the service, and everything about the house. I would recommend this to anybody, and made our trip so special. This is a must see and a place that is well worth the money. Alejandro was great and super helpful with everything.

Viktor’s place is absolutely amazing!! Very stylish and sleek, safe and clean. The team that is there for you is super friendly and helpful. They offer great and yummy options for breakfast and drinks thru out the day. Location is a couple minutes from everything you need and about 5 minute walk to the beach. If we are back in the area, we will certainly stay here again!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Sabura. Quiet area, but near Playa Avellenas. We appreciated the very equipped kitchen which allowed us to prepare very good meals. Nearby Playa Blanca is a must see for swimming and snorkeling. The nearby El Cactus restaurant offers inexpensive local meals in a family atmosphere.

Alan and Sue's place is amazing! It truly feels like you are in a magical treehouse. A short walk to the beach and some great restaurants, a wonderful pool, and just a quick drive from Tamarindo. I would highly recommend it if you are visiting the area!

This place is freaking awesome! Im 27years old and stayed hear with my 2 brothers and girlfriend (same age as me) and my parents... point being this place is great for all ages. We were a little nervous about how secluded it sounded like this place was but it was honestly the best part about the whole trip. In retrospect we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. And if you really have the urge to PARRRRRRTY you can get your fix with a short drive into Tamarindo but we found that we had no desire to go there after we settled into to Casa Sabura. Definitely recommend getting an SUV with AWD/4x4. Doesnt have to be anything crazy but you will be thankful you did. All of the local food places are unique and delicious. We jogged to the beach every morning and it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Plenty of surfers to watch and people willing to teach you how to surf as well. This was truly one of my favorite vacations of all time, authentic, wholesome, and relaxing. Hope this review helps!

Wow, this is an extraordinary house! It is really beautiful and practical! We loved the kitchen, it's large and very friendly. Everything has been thought of! The swimming pool was very appreciated by all as well as the small outdoor lounge and the lounge chairs to rest. Avellanas beach is a 15 minute walk away, it's a bit of a pain to get there because of the dust on the road and the heat. It is a beautiful beach, convenient for surfing (watch the tides). Also, it is important to have a 4x4 to get to the house because the road is bumpy. The grocery store is in Tamarindo 30 minutes from the house (Auto Mercado is very good). Do your grocery shopping before you get home and bring water. This corner of Costa Rica is very dry and very hot, be warned! It would be really nice to have mosquito nets in the bedroom doors because we like to sleep in the sound of nature and without air conditioning. (even if it's hot). Kudos to Alan and Sue for this beautiful house!

The house is beautiful and is secluded (as accurately described by host). Would recommend this place if you are looking for a secluded retreat. Close to Playa Arellana beach (within walking distance) which was beautiful and not as crowded as other beaches in the area.

Excellent choice staying with Alan and Sue. The home was in great condition and very clean. Walking distance to playa avellana great restaurants near by. The beach and people here were amazing. Short drive to tamarindo was nice for a day or so but we lived staying close the house as it was very relaxing and cozy. All of the wood had recently been redone and it looks amazing. Truly beautiful property.

We had the absolute best time when staying at Antonio’s beautiful home. The reality of this listing does not disappoint and is exactly like the pictures. The home and pool were breathtaking! Best of all was Antonio who was always available to text with any questions we had and had great tips on things to do and places to eat. If you can book this place, do it!

Antonio's place is outstanding! The home is incredibly clean, the grounds and pool (just as big as it is in the photos) are well maintained. The kitchen is stocked with all the utensil/equipment essentials for preparing meals. The house itself is located a short drive outside of Tamarindo; this was a huge plus for our group as we loved the quiet and privacy that house provided away from the action in town. Costa Rica is incredibly safe, but for those who might be concerned about security and safety, the house and parking area are both very secure.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Antonio’s beautiful and luxurious home. The home was spacious and sparkling clean. The bedrooms were large with ensuite bathrooms. The decor was tasteful and sleek. The space is true to the pictures. It was the perfect place to come home and relax after a day of activities around Costa Rica. It is located in a private area that is quiet and safe, and a very close drive to Tamarindo, less than 10 minutes. There are grocery stores within 5 minutes. We would absolutely stay here again, we left feeling completely refreshed!

This house and landscape was beautiful. The home looks exactly how it’s pictured online. I had the most wonderful time celebrating my birthday in this beautiful home. We also hired Chef Jean, for my birthday dinner; recommended by the host Mr. Antonio. They exceeded my expectations. Lovely pool and back yard with Gorgeous views all around the home. The house is like 10 minutes from local stores, restaurants, and beaches.

Our stay was absolutely perfect, from start to finish! From the stunning space, the excellent location and Antonio's hospitality and responsiveness - my family and I can not possibly recommend this villa enough!

Antonio was a great host. The place is beautiful. I highly recommend you book a private chef for a day or two.

We stayed at Jessa’s for 8 nights. There is so much to do along the golden coast within 30min to an hour drive (close by Costa Rica standards) and we had an amazing time visiting beaches, sodas, snorkelling, and experiencing the culture. The balcony was so amazing to enjoy - geckos, frogs and howler monkeys visit to name a few and she keeps her own horses as well. No matter who you are and what your preferences you will find something you love nearby.

Great cabin with an amazing view, very spacious and clean inside. With a shared kitchen at the back which had everything you needed. Jessa was super nice and introduced us to all the animals she rescued (dogs/horses). The cabin is up a hill and about a 15-20 min drive from Tamarindo so I would suggest having a car or driver If you are staying here.

Super quiet and lovely place. You have contact with nature and there are also puppies and horses. The wifi is not very good and there is no television in the cabin, so be prepared.

The place where to stay if have a car close enough to be in 5 mns in town close to gas station and supermarkets to find everything In a fair price and far enough to be out of the buss

Wils is a great host! The place was amazing. E everything from grocerys, restaurants, beach, beer medical needs, golf carts, ATV's any type of lessons or excursions are a 5 to 10 minute easy walk!! The beaches are clean and beautiful. They are public so you can walk from one to the next. We loved it all! Thanks Wils 🌞

Wils place was great, awesome location! The tree house loft is cool you are among the tree tops with monkeys. Check in and out was very easy we felt secure the entire time and Wils was quick to respond with answers to our questions and recommendations. 5 or so min walk to the beach we had a great time!

Wils place was such a cute little place! For us it was the perfect location in Tamarindo, it was a very short walk to get to the main street where all of happenings are and also the beach for surfing! But it was tucked away enough for us to enjoy the nature of Costa Rica and everything it had to offer! We got to experience Monkeys right outside of our little balcony and for me that will be an experience I will never forget!! The apartment was cute, stylish and had a homey/surfer vibe feel!!! If you are staying Tamarindo this place is a MUST STAY!!! I would not recommend anywhere else!

Very nice apartment (terrace and room surrounded by greenery) Wils is good advice for activities as for local addresses. Tamarindo is complete but remains an expensive area.

Everything is just perfect. The upper bedroom’s view is amazing, as we saw a fmily of monkeys in the trees. Shower is awesome too and good water pressure compared to a lot of places. We definitely cannot recommand this place enough.

Steps away from the beach and restaurants known for their sunsets, this place is a gem. I arrived earlier than expected, but Erick was so responsive and accommodating. There were thoughtful notes about where to eat and places to check out that I also really appreciated as it was my first visit to Costa Rica as a solo female traveler. I am very grateful for the experience and hospitality, I highly recommend! Everything is exactly as the pictures show, and the hot water shower, high functioning AC and high speed internet were excellent during my stay.

This spot is right at the beginning of the Tamarindo strip. The owner was very nice and accommodating. I am a solo female traveler and he made sure I was always good and I felt very safe. The decor is very modern and well decorated. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay here. Just a quick 5-10 min walk and you’re at the beach. Lots of places to eat near by or you can prepare your own food there. Surfing was a bit crowded at the beach so I’d suggest taking a boat to the island across the river if you want to catch some waves. Boats are conveniently located next door as well.

It is a great location close to beach, grocery stores and restaurants. It was also very quiet and private and felt very safe. The place was clean and had everything we needed. Hosts were exceptional and gave us lots of tips about where to go and what to do. We felt very welcomed! Communication was good before and during our stay and they helped us with transfers to beaches and restaurants outside of town. Highly recommend.

Iguana Surf was the perfect oasis to stay in the heart of Tamarindo. The location cannot be beat - literally a 2 minute walk to the beach and plethora of restaurants/shopping - and the property was immaculate with comfortable amenities. We also rented the golf cart for the week and highly, highly recommend you do so! Would absolutely stay here again and will happily pass on this rental to our friends, too.

Tracy and chad had a book of great information in the room, including restaurants and all of their menus. We used this everyday and it was such a great help! We can’t wait to stay again.

This was an amazing place to stay in Tamarindo. The apartment complex was so clean, and the pool was sparkling clean and refreshing. The room is cleaned daily if you would like, and Michele was always there to help. Misa, the groundskeeper, was amazing and helpful. We could hear the howler monkeys at dawn, and the 2 cats were great to have around to get your pet fix on vacation. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Tamarindo.

Super cool spot for those who want a place to lay their head and few steps to the beach when they wake up! Super simple, super cool and super close!

Check in and out was a breeze. The location was perfect for us being directly across the street from the best surf spot in town! We spent a lot on time on the beach across the street and drinking some local craft beer. Definitely will stay here again when we come back!

Very clean place. Just like the photos! Right main strip in Tamarindo beside the beach and a lot of surf shops and restaurants. The staff was great.

The shower had the worst water pressure unfortunately. The curtain rod also broke off when I went to open the curtain. Otherwise, the host was extremely accommodating, responsive and the room was in an excellent location. Price was appropriate. The hosts were excellent!

The room was perfect. Private, clean and comfortable. My neighbors next door were a bit of a fuss but that is not the fault of establishment. The location is perfect, close to everything but far enough away from the center to be able to sleep peacefully. Laura at check-in and the coffee girl were super friendly and helped me answer any questions and recommendations.

We loved our Valentine's Day stay! The place is breathtaking and thoughtfully designed. Nico was a fantastic and friendly host and the breakfast was delicious. 10/10 would reccomend this place to friends and family.

Our stay at Nico and Leti's place was perfect. Everyone was extra nice, the breakfasts were fresh, complete and delicious. Our little bungalow was cute, always clean and made out stay in Tamarindo so special. I recommand without hesitation!

The bungalows are great. The pool was also great after a long day out. We can only recommend this accommodation. If we are in Tamarindo again, we will not look elsewhere, but will book directly with Nicolas. The whole crew helps wherever they can. Breakfast every morning tastes sensational. There is something different every day. We were at Christmas and there was a little present for everyone. Ok the price is not cheap (at least at Christmas), but we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay at the Beach bungalows! Nicolas was incredibly kind and helpful. We booked our airport shuttle through him and our drivers were excellent as well. Just a little note; there is no door on the bathroom inside the bungalow. This could have posed an issue as there were two of us, but there is also a little pool house in the shared area that can be used with a lockable door.

Amazing space. The bungalow is even better than portrayed in the pictures. Location is a short walk to the main strip and beach. The hosts are very hospitable and their breakfast is nice way to start your day. They have plenty of information on what to around town. It was so nice we stayed an extra night.

This place was amazing! I was a bit nervous about no AC during the rainy season with humidity, but it was perfect and was not a problem at all. Walking distance to town and beach area. Lots of other hotels and places people stayed at so the walk even at night was safe and easy. We didn't get to swim, but the pool was right outside the door. A lot of small steps to walk up to get to room and kind of steep, but was not a problem for us. Good price, location, and breakfast was included by an amazing staff! She was very helpful and made the place very homey.

We loved our stay! It was exactly what I would have expected in CR; not a lot of frills, but the location and the personalized service from Rolando was awesome. Also, Tamarindo is a nice central location in the Guanacaste region, and has many great places to dine on the water. I would recommend for anyone seeking a real Costa Rican adventure. And I know I will return.

Amazing place, clean and so close to everything yet far enough to be quiet at night. We walked everywhere and felt safe the entire time. The staff was extremely helpful with travel tips and Marcos even changed our unfortunate flat tire. 10/10 customer service!

Good price quality

Great location, near some excellent restaurants and walking distance to the beach. The aerial yoga class I took was fantastic. The entire staff is friendly and professional, making you feel right at home.

Super close to the beach and within walking distance of all of Tamarindo’s local attractions. The room is similar to a hotel room with beds and a bathroom. All other amenities are outside of the bedroom, including tv.

Loved the rooms, the front access to the beach, and the breakfast in the morning! Would definitely stay here again & would definitely recommend to others!

I booked the Casa Aura as a anniversary get away for my daughter and son-in-law. They loved it! The location was great...right on the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and night clubs. The room was spacious and nicely decorated.and the breakfast was delicious. 👍

Amazing location!

Casa Aura is awesome! The location is great - right outside of the busy area so it’s quieter but within walking distance to everything. The hospitality is amazing as well, you will consistently be greeted with an “hola chicos” every time you walk in and everyone there jumps at the chance to help. Their high security is reassuring; they have a guard when the guys at reception aren’t there and they have security cameras watching the whole property, including the parking area outside. Breakfast is delicious and starts early which means you get to the beach early as well! Our only issue is the noise which isn’t at any fault of Casa Aura. The common area and kitchen are right outside the room so it can get loud and with the thin walls, every noise gets through. We turned on the AC and TV at night until either we fell asleep or until everyone left which isn’t ideal but the camaraderie is also what makes this place special. Otherwise, the space is clean and the attached bathroom is nice to have!

This place is even cuter than it looks!! The hammocks swings and dinning areas are a dream! Perfect location to everything that town has to offer and close direct access to the beach! Hosts were very nice and accommodating! Highly recommend... I know I will be back!

This is lovely, quiet apartment within easy walk to beach, restaurants, shops, tours, atv rentals, etc. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions, offered advice on places to eat, tour, local markets. There is lovely, clean, well kept pool area with gazebo, grill, dining area. Nice oasis from noisy Main Street area!

Superb airbnb. Very clean, peaceful location. Superb swimming pool and gazebo. Far from noise while being close to the beach and restaurants of Tamarindo. Jency is a very available and charming host and Fernando at the reception is very kind. I highly recommend it.

We loved Green Village! The apartment is very cozy, super clean, do not bugs or anything. It also has everything you need to take your food and cook, and also has a very nice pool. The location was very good, you only have to walk approximately 10 minutes to get to the center and everything is super close.

We had a lovely time here. The place was clean and spacious for a couple. We had issues with the toilet but Jency and Marco fixed it right away when we notified them. They were great hosts who were responsive to questions and concerns. We would recommend this place!

Excellent value for the money! Great location; walking distance to anything you might want or need. Very nice pool onsite and outdoor bbq area. Check-in was a breeze. Fernando was waiting for us despite the fact that we arrived hours later than expected. The directions that were provided were perfect for finding the location. We felt very safe; gates remained locked at all times. Now, having said that we made a mistake in our booking, and booked one day short... completely our fault!!! Our unit was rented by others and we took off on a day excursion so we were unreachable. Despite this, Jency and Marco took care of everything! They were very careful, respectful and secure with our belongings and set us up in another unit in case we needed it... which we did! They were very gracious about the whole thing. No doubt about it, we definitely recommend staying here. If we are ever again in Tamarindo, we will be back!

I cannot say enough how great Marcela was! She is a super attentive hostess. Very hospitable and truly cares about your stay in Tamarindo. Her place is adorable, the pictures really do not do it justice. It’s clean, close enough to the beach, private, easy access... She let us borrow a cooler, beach chairs and towels which were all very helpful. Do not hesitate to book your stay with her!

Marcela’s place was impeccably clean. Quiet and private and safe while still remaining steps from all the action in Tamarindo. We arrived to fresh fruit and cold imperial beer. The ac works amazing which made our stay that much more comfortable. It has great decor too. The pictures just don’t do it justice. Would highly recommend!

Great location close to the main area of Tamarindo but tucked away on a quiet street. Marcela was an excellent host who kept in touch the entire time and offered suggestions for local spots to visit. It was hot in the kitchen and living room, but the A/C in the bedroom offered relief from the heat. Very clean and stylish apartment!

My husband and I stayed at Marcela’s place for a week, and it was absolutely perfect. Tamarindo is a fun beach town with a lot happening, and Marcela’s place was within walking distance of all of the action and the beach, but far enough away to sleep peacefully and relax. The apartment and itself was very nice and every detail was thoughtful. I really enjoyed having coffee each morning on the balcony and watching the birds in the trees. The kitchen is fully equipped, and it has all of the amenities you need for your stay. The bathroom is spacious and the shower is large and very nice. The bed was comfortable and there were hangers and shelves for our clothes in the bedroom. There is A.C. in the bedroom, but not in the main area of the house. There is a large ceiling fan that provides enough to cool off the living room & kitchen area, so it never gets very hot anyway. We didn’t stay much in the house during the day, so not having air conditioning in that space was not a problem for us. Marcela gave us a couple of local tips including the weekly farmers market which is amazing. She was very responsive and always checked to make sure we had what we needed. It was very nice that she has beach chairs, coolers, and bikes available to use at the apartment. We went for a day trip to a Playa Conchal and having chairs and a cooler to use was great! You can really tell that she cares about her guests. We loved Marcela’s place, and we would definitely stay there again. Pura Vida :)

Very nice place to stay while in Tamarindo. It is very close to the center of everything. Everything was very clean and worked perfectly. There were also nice thoughtful touches and extra features we were not expecting that made our stay a bit more pleasant.

Marcela’s place was perfect - comfortable, easy walking distance to everything but secluded enough that it wasn’t noisy and felt very private. The bed was comfortable and everything including the AC and gas stove worked really well. Marcela was also super friendly, easy to communicate with and available. The apartment was extremely clean and in a great location. Marcela accurately described the apartment plus she offers free access to bicycles, beach chairs, boogie boards. She was a pleasure to deal with !

This place is a great find. We stayed here over the busy Dec. holidays. It's a little off the main road, so pretty quiet at night. It's up a pretty short but unmaintained road (but we made it in a little KIA). Parking spot included. Located inside a locked gate so felt safe the whole time. Apartment was really cute and came with everything we needed. It's only a short walk to the beach (less than 10 minutes) and the backpack beach chairs were the best! Outdoor shower is great when you come back from the beach too. Extra beach towels + bag and bicycles (although we didn't use because everything is so close) also thoughtful additions. Bed was very comfortable, A/C in bedroom is fantastic after a day outside. Shower is nice and big. Kitchen is well equipped. What else can I say, this place has everything you need!

Fantastic location - 350 meters from the beach and even closer to restaurants. Common areas are beautiful. Swimming pool was clean and refreshing. I think the unit was around 1,300 square feet.

Awesome place! Great value! We loved our stay! Super comfy. We all had our own full bathrooms and balconies! Very close to all the action of Tamarindo yet still quiet! Just go ahead and hit reserve if your wanting a good deal and comfort. Two thumbs up!

Nora was very attentive and helpful at all times. The house is very well located near the beach (you can walk to Playa Langosta). The house is very safe since it has a 24-hour security service (Gerardo was very attentive and made excellent recommendations). In general, the house has a good value for money. Thanks Nora for everything.

Nora's place is amazing! A perfect amount of rooms for large parties. Split with 5-8 people, this is an amazing place to use to be close to the beach, heart of the town, but still maintain a sense of privacy compared to hostels. Place was clean, had all the amenities required. We were missing some extra toilet paper but Nora did her best to deliver it in a timely manner. 5 min walk from the beach. Literally a straight walk to the beach. Can't ask for better.

Perfectly placed, below there is a grocery store and at the top there is a restaurant with a bar. The hotel is close to everything !! All the kitchen equipment is there with a nice balcony where to eat. Only problem, it's quite noisy and the bed is very noisy. I still recommend 100% !!

I didn't read a lot of reviews which had revealed this is a hostel. So we arrived a bit surprised. However, the room was clean with new bathroom features and the hostel was away from the noise of the clubs so we had a quiet sleep. It was off season though so I'm not sure if it would have been noisier at other times of the year. The best part of this place is the customer service- we got some great tips on places to go, and Andrea was very responsive with our concerns. For a hostel, this is one of the nicer hostels I've stayed at. Location was perfect, right in the middle of everything.

I saw Andrea very quickly, but I thought she was a very pure life and attentive person. There is a relaxed atmosphere and among the staff are treated as family. It is a very central place and close to the beach.

Daniel's place was amazing. I saw several other hotels, hostels and airbnbs in Tamarindo and his was definitely the best. Just on the edge of downtown so close enough to walk to the center (lots of restaurants, shops and bars) or beach in minutes but just far enough or for lots of privacy. The shower was amazing and the kitchen was equipped with all the basic necessities. Nice touch with the outdoor relax space and hammock.

If I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would. Stylish beautiful unique home, exactly as portrayed by the pictures. Clean, safe, private, quiet, within 10 minutes walk of everything in Tamarindo. Ideal location. The shower pressure was strong and water hot! Good firm mattress, well equipped kitchen etc Daniel and his wife are attentive caring hosts who own the restaurant out front of this private yard and small house. They were always quick to respond to any requests and questions, highly recommend and would stay again.

Great place in Tamarindo. Been to Tamarindo many times and 100% recommend this place. Close to everything but quiet and nice. The place is located next to Dan’s restaurant which is a plus side, nice pizza place literally next to you.

Daniel’s place is super stylish. Wood work is amazing (he did it himself). If I could leave 11 stars instead of 5, I would. Walk to the beach about 5-10 min.

This place is a perfect oasis in Tamarindo. Once you get to the space, with the private yard, you feel very safe and at peace. Highly recommend if you like to get away from the hustle and bustle, great patio space. Extremely nice hosts, their restaurant is so very tasty. Loved staying here!

Daniel's casita is a great place to stay in Tamarindo. Although tucked in behind Daniel's restaurant (which to me is a definite spot to dine), the casita is off on it's own and you don't hear any sounds from the restaurant. The casita is very well equipped with many nice touches. Daniel was a very welcoming host, guiding us to the casita which is easily found on google maps. We greatly enjoyed our stay at Daniel's and again, I would highly recommend dining in his popular restaurant.

This place was the perfect, quiet and clean place for us to recharge after a day spent out in the heat and sun. Damian was very quick to respond and was very courteous. The place is very stylish and nicely decorated and has AC in every room! We would defit stay here again!

We loved our stay here. Very close to Tamarindo center. The apartment has a comfortable, modern design. Beautiful covered patio in the front surrounded by a lovely garden. The kitchen is very convenient, stocked with essential cookware and utensils. The space is very clean. The beds were clean and comfy. Pedro opened the door for us, he was attentive and helpful throughout our stay.

A truly lovely oasis above the Tamarindo main action. Clean, outfitted well and beautiful landscaping. Highly recommended.

Super comfortable and practical house. Damian a super host! The house is located a few minutes from the beach, but at a perfect distance to be away from the noise! I will definitely be back with my friends.

The apartment is very modern, stylish and comfortable. We loved the large terrace. The kitchen is very well equipped with coffee machine, a blender for smoothies, etc. Everything was sparkling clean. The location is a short walk to shops, the bank, cafes, the beach etc. The fact that it is a little way out of town means that it is very peaceful. I had the best nights’ sleep here! Pedro and his wife live on site and are very helpful and friendly. We loved our stay here.

Better than expected. Check in and check out was a breeze. Everything is walking distance. Be prepared for the monkeys running on the roof. Overall recommend a great time!

Mahayana hotel was a little difficult to find at first, for someone not familiar to Tamarindo. However, it turned out to be a great location, tucked away from the noise of the main street but still close to restaurants shops, bars and beaches. Great linens and friendly staff member who responded quickly and met me when I arrived to show me around. Wonderful courtyard common area for guests

Great and beautiful house. Located close to supermarket, beach and main road. Our original reservation was in this studio. We didn’t like the bed being so small (it’s a full size, not very comfortable for 2 people). Water would get out of the shower and soap holder was falling off the wall. We asked them to change to the bigger house and that made a huge difference. King bed, big bathroom, full kitchen, etc. if you’re going for long stay I recommend the 2bed and 2bath house. It’s worth the difference in price. Other than that manager Brian and rest of staff were very kind and helpful. Fast response on messages and fast solving for any issue. Would totally come back to this Airbnb.

If I could give 10 stars to Casa Mia, I would! I spent a blissful week in this rental and I wish I could go back already. First, the location is perfect if you’re looking to stay around the Tamarindo area! It’s about a 5 minute walk to the beach, the shops in town, and many restaurants. However, it’s tucked away about two blocks from the main road so you get the benefit of being close to the action without all the noise! The apartment had everything I needed for my stay. Its got the added plus of a private backyard to relax in as well. Both the host as well as the property manager were extremely accommodating. I was able to easily arrange transport from/to the airport with them and I was given many suggestions for local tour companies as well nearby cities to visit. They were extremely attentive to any questions I had during my stay. I would absolutely recommend this rental to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay while in Tamarindo.

Peaceful place to stay while in Tamarindo. 5-10 minute walk to the beach and local restaurants. This place is great if you’re into getting out and exploring as it’s only a single room with en suite bathroom. Offers a nice, quiet and air conditioned place to come back to at the end of the day. Kitchen was well enough equipped to make basic meals (grocery store located right around the corner). Zero complaints here!

Nils place is great for relaxing, a walking distance from the center, with a beautiful view of the beach. Kitchen availability was great to cook breakfast and meals, the room and bathroom sparkling clean, with a small fridge, TV, and cold Ac. Erick is a good manger, always available for whatever you need. I definitively recommend Nils place, and I would stay there again. Thank you Neil, Erick and your assistances!

This place is a paradise for any tourist. The location is right at the heart of Tamarindo downtown, every place/restaurant within the walking limits. This place is on beachfront, a great view to wake up. Backyard is gorgeous. And Its hard to express how kind and great hosts Erick and George are. They cooked delicious breakfast for us. They advised on all the touristy things around the beach. Overall this has been my best airbnb in Costa Rica. Highly recommendable and I would definitely plan to stay again with them, if i plan to visit Costa Rica again. Thank you Erick and Geore, you guys are awesome.

Good location and value. Outside of building looks worn, but inside is nicely done. Monkeys and iguanas roaming around adds a great tropical touch. Hosts are very friendly.

What an awesome space! The location was perfect. Only a few minutes to everything. It's rustic & quiet. Like your own little oasis! We're so happy we chose this space over a hotel for many more reasons other than just cost. It's like a home away from home with a tropical garden & we'll absolutely be back! Unfortunately Lisa was away with family during our stay so we didn't have a chance to meet. Even still, she called us to welcome us, ensure we were happy. We were! Alejandro was so nice! And helpful with everything we could need or ask. We felt so secure with having him there right on the property. And their dog Pantera is soooo cute! It was nice to have a fur baby to cuddle when we were away from our own. Overall I would say that our stay at Casa en las Nubes played a huge role in making our vacation to Tamarindo the best vacation either of us have ever had! It was heartbreaking to leave & we're already dreaming of our return.

This is one of those dream Airbnb stays....something that's a bit unique (it feels like staying in a tree house), with amazing, friendly hosts, but that has all of the attention to detail you'd find in a hotel! The room was spotless, beautiful - like a little spa, almost, with an amazingly comfortable bed, pillows and linens. Cooking on the little attached porch, watching parakeets in the nearby trees, having coffee there in the morning and listening to the nearby howler monkeys - what a treat! And then the washroom facilities and little dining room underneath the room were excellent. One of the things I like about the location is that it's close to all of the main attractions in Tamarindo without being right in the middle of all the noise. Fantastic to be able to take a short walk to the beach, the restaurants etc. And a great grocery store and a little soda only a few steps away. I can't say enough nice things about this little 'retreat'. It's everything you could hope for and a true reflection of the CR lifestyle. Thanks for an amazing stay - just wish it could have been longer!

Amazing hosts and awesome Airbnb hidden in a little paradise! We enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect (about a 5 mins drive to the beach).

Lisa and Alejandro's place was awesome! They were both really friendly and helpful. The place was awesome and we loved the location (about as close to the town as you can be without actually being in the middle of it). Expect some jungle critters like ants & iguanas. Highly recommend!

We stayed with Lisa and Alejandro one week. They are super nice and generous, and gave us all the advise and help we needed. There is a small kitchen in the house with all you need to cook, as well as all the toys to play such as bikes, snorkeling gear, bodyboards, etc. There is a supermarket next door as well as few restaurants to eat in 5 minutes distance. It was sunny and surf was up everyday. Pura vida!

La Casa en las Nubes is a place to relax and feel at home, with wonderful hosts on-site. The outdoor kitchen is a great spot to watch birds and enjoy a coffee or simple home-made meal. Supermarket next door and organic market across the road were a big plus for us. Location is away from crazy crowds but close enough to everything you need.

Excellent accommodation to spend a couple of nights in order to visit the beaches of Nicoya. The bed very large and extremely comfortable. It has a beautiful terrace for breakfast. The fully equipped kitchen. The accommodation had all the amenities, as well as a spectacular bathroom. The pool is a hoot for the afternoon. Very close to a supermarket. Caroline and Chris are extremely friendly, they made us feel at home. In addition, we had the pleasure of meeting your son Ellie, who is adorable. We would repeat our stay for sure.

The same as I wrote before

A great home base just outside of Tamarindo (about 15 minute drive). This place was a perfect spot to relax by the pool, read, and recharge after beach days. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need. A totally stocked kitchen, extra chairs you can bring to the beach, and great wifi were a few of our favourite amenities. Caroline and Chris were outstanding hosts. Caroline has such a friendly and calming presence, and went above and beyond in answering any questions I had before and during my stay. We took advantage of surfing lessons with Chris, who was super patient with us. You definitely need a car to get here, and I would recommend stocking up on groceries at one of the conveniently nearby super markets.

Everything was perfect!!

During our 4 weeks Costa Rica Trip this place has definitely been one of the best accommodations we’ve had: we loved it so much! The house is very comfortable and clean, as well as the poolside area, where we liked to stay every day before starting to explore the beaches in the area of Tamarindo. We also loved to use the barbecue on the terrace! Caroline & Chris are exceptional hosts and made us feel warmly welcome. Thank you again for everything! To visit the different beautiful beaches or have dinner in Tamarindo we recommend a car as the place is a little bit offsite - which we actually were looking for as it is nice & quiet. We definitely recommend Onda del Bosque and hope to come back soon !!

This feels like a very remote area in comparison to Tamarindo. It is a little get away from the noise and hustle of the tourist area. Caroline and Chris were amazing hosts, helping to coordinate services and suggestions of places to check out. We loved the house, it was very modern and exceptionally clean. The fruit trees on the property were tasty and fun to pick from. The pool was an awesome place to hang out, float and soak up some sun! If we came back to the area, we would certainly stay here!

My husband and I really recommend Caroline’s and Chris’ space. We had a really great time there, the house is lovely, the pool is amazing and I can really say it was the best place we’ve slept in during our 1 month coast to coast in Costa Rica! It is located a bit out of Tamarindo, in Santa Rosa, which was great to sleep well out of the tourism noise. The neighborhood is a typical tico village, calm and slow, with rough roads, sometimes monkeys on the trees and iguanas crossing the street. We loved this mood - so if you are looking for authenticity, quality and a very good balance quality-price, THIS IS THE PLACE. Caroline and Chris (and their cute son Jay) have been so nice and warm-hearted with us that we can call them friends. The home as been cleaned every 2days, you have AC, good wifi, comfort and taste for furniture. Thanks for everything, we wish you all the best!

Wonderful little apartment close to everything. You also get a fresh basket of fruit which is a nice touch. Oscar is always available to help you and give you some tips.

This location is a perfect little getaway! Not far from the beach, yet still tucked away from the main street. This little cute apartment has just what you need and the kitchenette was a bonus when we wanted a meal in. Oscar was the perfect host and always responded quickly! An added bonus was our own porch kitty and hammock!!

The place was just as in the pictures, everything you need for a short or long stay. The kitchen was properly equipped to cook anything we wanted. Besides a delicious bowl of fruits waiting for us, there was salt, sugar and coffee to use as needed which was a really nice surprise. Two of our four nights there, we had the opportunity to hear and see howling monkeys! It's worth to get out of bed at 6am to see them climbing the trees inside the property. Danilo and Marcia were very attentive and communication was prompt. The only downside was that if you are on feet, under the heat the beach may seem far, and there is no hot water to shower. All in all it was a really nice and recommendable experience!

Smaller than it looks but still really nice and newly refurbished. Oscar left us a bowl of fruit for the stay - never had a pineapple so good!

This is a wonderful spot. Great location. Great hosts. The perfect place for direct access surfing, and access to the heart of Tamarindo. Thanks to the Iguanana team! And a special shout out to Fio for the yoga suggestions, and all the other tips :)!

The private room is very cozy and clean. The A/C worked perfectly and the bed is comfortable. We reached out to the team because the water pressure in the shower was weak and they fixed it the next day. They also let us do a late-checkout since it was low-season which really helped us relax after a morning diving tour. Just be aware that it is rather a nice private room in a surf hostel than a boutique hotel. Overall we would recommend it.

Great place right across from the beach, with everything you need right outside your door... restaurant, grocery store, tours. I will definitely be booking to stay here when I return to Tamarindo again.

This was everything we hoped for and more. New, fresh and very well laid out. Location is perfect for seeing Tamarindo. The balcony bar/grill just steps from our room was a bonus with a great view.

Great location right across the street from the beach. Easy access to everything in downtown Tamarindo. Great staff and amenities!

The staff was friendly. The room was very clean. The staff did a great job accommodating our needs.

Very hospitable and knowledgeable. They let us know when events were happening in the area which was appreciated! Only downside was from the lobby area to the rooms there wasn’t much soundproofing and at times other guests were quite loud.

So glad we stayed here, very close to everything and the bed was so comfortable! Thank you!!
