The place was perfect located in the Médina and everything was close by. We only stayed for 1 night because of a further trip to chefchaouen. We had a late flight and the host stayed awake to welcome us! Really nice breakfast and a fantastic terrace.

The hostel is really beautiful, with a nice roof terrace and pleasant common areas. Our room and bathrooms were immaculate with hot water. It is ideal to be located in the casbah, because it is near the medina but without the overflow of activity or harassment. Really, this is the perfect place to stay in Tangier.

Despite a very short stay which did not allow us to get to know the hosts and other travelers better, we are very happy with this hostel. The hosts are very responsive and play a good advisory role. All the indicated facilities are present, very nice decoration, super roof terrace, several common areas very well appointed, quiet and secure. Perfect location to discover Tangier on foot. Secure nearby parking service (chargeable, external to the hostel).

The hostel is really easy to get to by Taxi. It was very clean and Zac was a very nice host and an interesting person to talk to. Only had a short one night stay here but I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Tangier.

Gilley's place was pure magic. It was the perfect first night in Morocco. With tips about local eats and the most wonderful rooftop breakfast. We truly enjoyed our one night there. In the heart of the medina we felt like, though it was short, it gave us the perfect location to get lost but always know where we were. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone.

What a wonderful place to stay in Tangier. A beautifully decorated Riad, right in the heart of the Medina. It has a gorgeous terrace for relaxing and having breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful with suggestions. I would definitely stay here again!

A beautiful, well-hidden house, awe-invoking once you enter the heavy wooden door. This old ‘riad’ has been meticulously renovated with eye for detail. Rich breakfast served on the roof terrace. A true gem in the centuries-old medina.

Gilles's place was a lovely restored riad in the old madina of Tangier. It was a great opportunity to experience the old madina in an upclose and intimate way. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful and had some great tips on what to see. Clean, tidy and professional! Recommended!

Entering Corinne’s home is entering another world. I felt like Alice in Wonderland. Amazing views, generous and delicious breakfast but most important, to meet Corinne is to add priceless memories to your life. Already planning to return.

You have to stay to believe and experience how charming and beautiful Corinne place is! But is not just the space that counts towards the unforgettable stay but it’s also how Corinne welcomes you in her house and how she has such a interesting path in life that she shares over a coffee or a drink in a beautiful surrounding. The house is a mix of medieval, old, new, retro, fancy decoration that overwhelms your senses. The views are also superb as it faces the port and the main square/old gates into the medina. Unfortunately I just had time for one night stay but enough to realize how warm and genuinely happy Corine is welcoming the guests. Location wise is just perfect although at late night it was tricky to find. But there are always some locals that help you.... if you are considering staying in Tanger this is absolutely a great place to be!! Thanks.

The perfect experience, Tangier is really the best part of the trip. This homestay is amazing, the location is great, the terrace upstairs overlooking the sea. The host booked a car for us in advance and took us to the homestay. Also recommended us the local tour bus that can go to Africa Cave, very practical. There is a hearty breakfast of fresh fruits, love and love. The rooms are exquisite and very characteristic, the beauty that cannot be taken with photos.

Mohsin and his colleague Zak are great host. And the place is kept clean daily. The breakfast is good and filling. Location is great but be ready for some good up hill walking, so try to get everything you need on your way up ;) . Washrooms are kept clean. All on all it's a great place.

Mohsin helped us take the bags, get a taxi at dawn and get our bearings in Tangier! The space is much nicer than what I know for photos: It is spacious and spotless! The best is the location! We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful place, centrally located and incredibly clean. Juan and his assistant were super responsive and gracious hosts. The only thing I would have liked was if Juan or his assistant would have met as the parking area so that we wouldn't have been bumbarded by all of the pretend tourist guides who took advantage of us being tired, lost and confused which has nothing to do with the apartment itself, just a little advice.

Amazing experience! Juan was on vacation so Larbi was our host and he was great and brought us daily breakfast late morning (and without us asking, a moka pot after seeing we purchased some coffee grounds). Juan helped us set up a private hammam experience which I highly recommend and he also helped us set up a half day tour around areas outside of Tangier and a round trip to Chefchaouen. The driver, Ali, was our driver the whole time including to/from the airport and he was one of the highlights of our trip. The tower is incredible but watch your head and be flexible with minor things like water pressure in the shower. It’s not unusable at all, just takes a little longer to shower and it’s good for us to challenge ourselves with things like that, right? The roof terrace is one of the highlights of the place. Make sure you catch a sunrise up there. Also quick tip: there’s a small convenience store for water and other necessities a 1-2 min walk down hill that we ended up going to at least once a day.

Very very good

The location is perfect if you prefer the traditional parts (Kasbah and Medina) of Tanger. Only a few meters to walk there. Juan organises all what you want to do and see in Tanger and around.

One of the great things about AirBnB is that every now and then you come across a truly unique and one-of-a-kind place that takes your breath away. Juan's "Tower of the Poet," is definitely one of these places. If you're expecting a home, apartment, or riad, then you're in for a shock when you arrive. This place is quite literally a tower. The tower is five stories high with steep narrow staircases. Literally the walls are just a few feet apart and you have to duck your head as you climb to the top (if you are very tall, this might not be the place for you lol). There's not a whole lot of amenities in the tower, but you can feel the history and beauty of it immediately. The best part of the tower by far is on the fourth floor, were there is a small terrace with an outdoor couch and table over looking the port. From there, you can see all of the Tangier peninsula, the Strait of Gibraltar, and Spain (Portugal is blocked). The views (especially during sunrise and sunset) are breathtaking. As a host, Juan is quick to communicate and can arrange anything you need. He met us late at night when we arrived, had heard I was sick from the food and brought medicine, and recommended local restaurants within walking distance. The location is close to the Kasbah (top of the Medina), and just around the corner from Cafe Baba. Cafe Baba is a famous smoking and coffee shop from the 1930s. It's been visited by Royalty, celebrities, the Rolling Stones and more. It was recently highlighted on an episode of CNN's "Parts Unknown" with Anthony Bourdain before his death. I suggest you watch the episode on YouTube before visiting Tangier, and then go visiting Cafe Baba to experience some interesting history. Negatives of the place is that it's small and a little claustrophobic. There's not a whole lot of amenities or luxury, its very much a minimalist space. As mentioned in other reviews, the water pressure is horrible, as the water heater is very small. It can be cold in Winter, but Juan provides heaters. However, if you know what to expect ahead of your stay, then this place truly is remarkable.

Younas' apartment is very nice, spacious, clean and with all the comforts. With a good location for getting around the city. Younas is a very helpful and kind person. It has helped us to solve some unexpected problems at best. Thanks Younas!

Younas was very reactive in communicating, the apartment is clean, well appointed and well located. We had a great time!

Younas went out of his way to make my 1 night stay as eventful as it could be. And he did. From giving tips on activities to do on my one night in town, SIM cards, exchanging currency....he answered all of my questions and did it very promptly. He did everything he could even when things on my end went crazy. Ferry from Tarifa was canceled due to strong winds and had to leave from Algeciras. (Note for those who are traveling from Tarifa, take note to look at ferry schedule 1 day prior to leaving). Then ferry from Algeciras was delayed. And our shuttle from Tangier Med to Tangier Ville was no where to be found. Younas waited 7 hours for me to make sure I arrived ok. He was always available if you needed him. He is a great host. The apartment was larger than I thought. Nice gathering area. Small bathroom. Nice decor. Food and shops are really close. Thanks Younas for everything. I will stay again and recommend Younas apt for those on a budget.

We wanted safe, clean, affordable lodging near the medina and that is exactly what we got. Younas went out of his way to orient and help us: our visit would have been problematic without his assistance. We have never had a more accommodating host. Visitors to Morocco should know (I did not) that sofas and beds are only lightly padded... no cushy mattresses like Americans are used to. This was true at our lodging at Casablanca as well. The excursion he arranged for us to Caves of Hercules and Cap Spartel was wonderful. The area is quiet, and there is a nice little food mart on the corner. I definitely recommend this lodging.

The apartment is ideally located for visiting the medina, Younas will explain very well how to get to the apartment. Everything is very clean. The place is even large for 2 people, it is comfortable and pleasant. There is everything to cook. In short very good value for money

100% recommended, all very well. He asked us for a taxi to pick us up at the airport and also to return. Your guide is wonderful, we went to some of the restaurants and sites he recommended and we don't regret it. Younas is very good people and a very nice person.

The trip was incredible, Younas sent a taxi to pick us up, and without fail to take us to the house. In the house everything impeccable and typical decoration. As for the trip, the recommendations of Younas magnificent, in addition he sent us to his friend Zakaria, so that along with him we toured the tourist areas of Tangier, Zacaria had a very good truck in the Tangerine style and the truth that added more points for the experience. On the other hand we prepare the maps and visit Cheffchaouen, a very pretty town with a special charm. And just as they picked us up at the airport they also took us to it. Of the most attentive hosts I've ever met. Peace.

The location is very good, in the old town of Tangier and the castle, close to the fort and the lookout. Nearby people's shops can solve the problem of eating and drinking. It is close to the parking lot and it is convenient to drive. The room was beautiful and the sanitation was good. At first glance, someone cleaned it every day. Younas is definitely the best host I have ever encountered, none of them. I'm not dragging. 5 out of 5. Best location close to everything. Parking lot is just 100m away. Exquisite and cozy apartment with a comfortable bed. Younas is the best host that i have ever met. Would love to come back again definitely.

Victors apartment was right in the Médina and accessible to all the wonders of Tangier. The view from the terrace is the best part.

Victor's accommodation is located in the heart of Tangier's Medina. It allows you to enjoy close to the life of the city and is very well connected with all points of interest. Privacy is ideal and breakfast very good.

Victor was a very attentive person, recommending several places to visit and notifying us of something we did not know. He also invited us to breakfast at a hostel he had. A nice person to deal with. Recommendable!

This place is great! Really gives you an idea of what a true Moroccan home would feel like. Amazing view from the terrace as well. Victor was awesome and helped us with some great locals tips as well as arranged a taxi for us early in the morning before our flight out. Unbeatable

This space is bigger than expected, with a comfortable bed and reliable hot water. Jenate was very quick to respond even though she wasn't there in person to greet and check in was easy. The location isn't the most central but only a 15 minute walk to the medina. Overall solid stay and great value for the price.

Traditional Moroccan house in the heart of the medina, perfect location for visiting Tangier. Very nice view once on the terrace. However, stairs are a bit dangerous so be careful with children or the elderly. Christophe is very responsive and has good advice. Special mention for the warm welcome from Aïcha who gave us a good couscous!

My stay at Christophe’s place was really super nice. From arrival till departure, Christophe helped arrange everything I needed. The neighborhood itself is safe and charming. The apartment is really authentic with touches of life that reminds you that you are not only staying in an apartment but someone’s home. Christophe respondes extremely fast and can help guide you along with any questions or concerns you may have. He helped me arrange a car pickup from the airport with Hamid. Hamid is super nice and has a really classy Mercedes that’s smells lovely, like orange blossoms:) Aisha met me with the keys at the entrance and was available for any help and also is a wonderful cook. When I come back to Tangier I would not think of staying anywhere else! Thanks Christophe!

An absolute magical stay. This was without a doubt, the most gorgeous and memorable Airbnb . Yann and Bernard are exceptional hosts. My friend and I were taken care of so well, with breakfast in the garden, along with conversation to start our day. The gardens are gorgeous, the guesthouse is impeccably decorated, with details galore. This unique and special place will live in my memories forever. I am already planning my next trip to Tangier and it will definitely include staying with Yann and Bernard.

I always write my reviews with a 1 to 10. This place and host get a 10. Incredible hospitality from the host and staff in this magnificent villa compound next to the kings palace. Talking about being safe. Doesn’t get safer than that. The guest house is very spacious and has all the amenities. Also has that Moroccon charm that you should experience in Morocco. Every morning they serve you an amazing breakfast pool side in your little paradise. The staff is very nice and is there at your service anytime you need them. The grounds are amazing and super clean. The home has central heat and A/C and is huge!!! Plenty of space to sit inside and out by the pool. The hosts live’s in the Villa compound and you will never see them unless you want to. You got complete privacy and it’s is very safe. I will be definitely booking this host again. They do amazing job. Also the home is close to the center just a 15 min ride to the port. One of my best stays I’ve had in Morocco. They are proud owners of there home and treat there guest with above and beyond hospitality. Thank you so much for a magnificent experience.

We absolutely loved staying at Yann's amazing house. First off the environment was beautiful and unique and the little house at the back of the property was private as well as well designed/furnished. His staff was also very hospitable and the breakfast that we had every morning was a much welcome feature of the stay. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at Yann's place!

We loved yanns place its very well set with fine details & artistic features almost everywhere, the place is clean with unique features &p mesmerizing garden it served our trip theme very well as we were on cultural & antique furniture hunt! Yann & Bernard were very nice they met us in person, helped with the luggag & recommended good local restaurants. They will ask the staff if we were comfortable or needed anything. The staff were very friendly and helpful they would serve good breakfast & tidy the place. The lady was very welcoming she recommended good local stores & nice places to visit as well. A sketchbook, a watercolor box, a few brushes ... and a magical place where to draw and paint in all serenity! It was a pleasure to spend these few days in your beautiful home. Haven of peace, very well located to visit Tangier in a secure area less than 10 min walk from the Kasbah, with taxis available and even a city tour Tangier. It is difficult to fully describe how wonderful Villa Amazonas is and everything has already been said so many times. The Pavillion is absolutely wonderful: luxurious, tasteful, full of thoughtful touches including some wonderful artwork. Yann and Bernard have a fabulous home and are so generous to share it. From the wonderful breakfasts by the pool to the daily cleaning and tending of the garden, we have had 4 days of pure, luxurious bliss. Michael's apartment is great. Anything you need, this place has it. Location on beach, close to shops and restaurants, a nice walk to the Kasbah, comfy apartment. Also I have to mention the special touches like free tea and coffee, bottle of water and beautiful cakes waiting in the fridge. Great experience and would recommend to anyone.

This apartment has got an amazing view of the Tangier port and the Mediterranean ocean, it's beautiful clean and safe. We really enjoyed our stay in Tangier because of the apartment and the host Lluvia's assistance in helping us settling in comfortably and the many tips she has given us about the area. If you wish to take an excursion to Chefchaouen or Assilah please use Hassan's service, he is a very kind gentleman and a responsible driver. I would highly recommend this place for anyone traveling to Tangier.

An open little room in a friendly house full of cats and a nice atmosphere. Very close to the sea and all the facilities. Waf was super friendly and helpful, giving advice on the shops and sightseeing places around the city. The only thing that surprised me was how cold it could be in Morocco at night! Outside and inside too.

Very well located home with a friendly host. I was able to walk both from the train station and to the old city in 20 min. The place is clean and homey but i did wake up from the cats at night :) I would go here again and enjoy more of what Tanger has to offer!

You will feel at home in the casa of Giulio and Ada (his dog and faithful companion), whatever room you have. Moroccan house decorated with taste, authenticity and simplicity; ideally located in the medina at the foot of the Kasbah, it is the ideal place to spend a few days and discover Tangier. And what about our host! Giulio takes care of his guests with warmth, tact, good advice and little attentions. It is there when we need it without intruding on our privacy. We loved our stay and I am delighted to have met Giulio. Fortunately, this kind of "Airbnb" still exists ... Grazie Mile!

My stay in Giulio's home has exceeded my expectations. The house is beautifully decorated in Moroccan style, every little detail is well-thought-out and makes it cozy and warm. The house is located in the heart of the Medina, with a spectacular terrace overlooking the sea. Giulio is a very cultured gentleman, he knows a lot about Tangier and offered very interesting insights about Moroccan people. He sent a taxi to pick me up from the airport and together with lively Ada showed me the best parts of the Medina, his favorite spots and recommended a few activities I could do by myself. Absolutely a perfect stay!

Giulioy, a legend among men. Giulioy's hospitality exceeded my expectations, from our city walks with his beautiful dog Ada to his recommendations on things to do and places to eat, to his lovely home with a beautiful rooftop terrace. He is a super interesting and cultured guy, with tons of stories and anecdotes to share! I hope I get the opportunity to come back, if not just to stay with him!

Giulioy even took us to his favorite herbalist (who was incredible) because all the pharmacies were closed. We had a slight miscommunication about the rooms, but Giulioy was very gracious in clearing it up.

This property is located in Medina. Listing can be difficult, but it's okay because the host is picking you up. Your host is very friendly and he responds well to your messages. There is a room on the second floor and a toilet and a terrace on the third floor. The view from the terrace is really nice and the cats are very cute. The breakfast was very delicious. The downside is that it's in Medina, so it's not safe to go around in the evening. The stairs to the second floor are narrow and steep, so carrying a carrier can be difficult to move around.

Josette came to meet me to help me find the accommodation which was spotlessly clean and as described. The high terrace offers a magnificent view of the sea as well as the medina and having breakfast there was a real pleasure. The exchanges with the host were also synonymous with good times. Readers will be delighted by the multitude of works that we find at Josette and that she puts at our disposal.

The house of Josette is very beautiful, has lots of lovely details. The room is very clean and comfortable, we had a very good sleep. Josette is a very nice lady, she came to the parking to take us even she was sick of cold and she opened the heater before our arrival for my baby. It was a very touch. And more, the view on the terrace worth everything! The breakfast prepared by Josette is super good! I recommand this place to stay. Just a little remind for the girls, there are some stairs if you have heavy luggages. But in Morocco, it's very normal!

This is an amazing placer! I have been to Tanger before, but never stayed in the casbah: it really is an experience, and in 10 minutes you can walk down the old city wall staircase to wonderful restaurants in the fishing port. If you want local flavour, everything is on your doorstep, this really is a very fascinating experience.

Our experience in Tangier has been unbeatable, in part thanks to the perfect location of the apartment, right at the door of the Kasbah and inside the Medina. The apartment is small but beautiful, the bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Only the shower fails but its good location makes up for it completely. Finally, the communication with Lofti and Rachid has been great, always willing to help and solve doubts. Thanks for everything!

I booked this homestay by accident, but it was a big surprise. The house is in an excellent location. It is right next to the Medina walls, which is the height of the entire fortress area. You can see the port when you go out, across the Mediterranean Sea. You can see Spain and Gibraltar on the other side, stroll around the fortress, you can see the former celebrities' homes in Tangier, and it is very convenient to take a taxi outside the city gate to the new city and attractions. Although the house is not large, but the daily necessities are suitable Everything is available. Housekeeper Rachid is very enthusiastic. He lives next to him. He is willing to solve various problems at any time and will try his best to provide travel advice for everyone.

I rented several Rbnb in Tangier and this is the best, I advise you without any hesitation this great apartment, really clean, modern, class. There is even wifi and Netflix! But what more could you ask for? Supper calm place while being close to the city center, restaurants, mall and the railway station. The host is nice, responds very quickly.

My partner and I stayed at this apartment for 2 weeks and found it was an incredible value for a great apartment. The balcony was perfect to sit outside everyday. The location was unbeatable, less than 5 minutes walk to the beach and centrally located so we walked everywhere else as well. The apartment is HUGE, and pictures do not do the size of this space justice. You could easily bring a family here with room to spare. The security guard works 24/7 and was EXTREMELY helpful (especially when a piece of our laundry blew off the 8th floor). Host and staff were always friendly and ready to answer our questions. The decor is a little outdated and the elevator only works on the way up (meaning you have to be physically able to walk down 8 flights of stairs), but otherwise this truly was an amazing place to stay. 10/10 would recommend for anyone coming to Tangier!!! We would come again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at Maya's for two nights. The room and the toilet were tidy and clean. Huge breakfast in the morning. The linen was fresh, clean and smelled very food. I usually use my own towels when I sleep away from home, but I didn't need them this time because Maya's were really clean.

I stayed at this fabulous place only one night and I was absolutely amazed by the architecture and interior. It is well located in the old Madina. The breakfast was great, the host was also very helpful and welcomming.

Staying in the Riad was my favorite part of the trip! Its a beautiful building that captures the magic and character of Morocco and the Tangier Medina. Staying there made me feel like I was transported to another world. Gilles and his staff are excellent hosts. They were accommodating with all my needs and went above and beyond to help arrange a taxi to/from the airport. They were eager to share local information and guide me during my stay. The included breakfast was a great perk and the price was more than reasonable. I was advised that tourists should be vigilant while out in the Medina. I ultimately had no issues but would encourage this as well. I felt perfectly safe in the well protected Riad, but i did have some concerns about walking alone at night in the neighborhood. If you stay in the Medina you will be hustled in some form, by some friendlier than others. Generally though, if you want to stay in the heart of the Medina, this is a fabulous option!

This Riad was absolutely beautiful! We had such a gorgeous room with stained glass windows. The view from the terrace is spectacular! The breakfast was great. Our host helped us book a local guide to see the City. The Riad is great for relaxing and really appreciating the handicraft of Morocco. The tiles and lanterns and fabrics are just beautiful. Do not hesitate to stay here.

Gilles’s riad is one of our favorite Air BNBs - the location is ideal, the rooms are comfortable, breakfast is tasty, and the staff is very helpful. Gilles helped us procure a driver to Chefchaouen and back as well - highly recommended for reliability and comfort, and it was very affordable. Gilles himself is a very friendly, warm host, and we very much enjoyed our interactions with him. No complaints from us - we would happily recommend this spot and stay there again on a future visit.

We arrived very early after taking a night train to Tangier so our booked room was still occupied, but they were able to change our room to give us somewhere to rest after a long night - very thoughtful! The hostel is in a good location and is a short walk from the major square(s). Hosts were able to recommend local places to eat and were very nice. Thanks for the stay!

Lovely place, private room but shared common areas. The view from the rooftop is unbeatable and the service is lovely. At first it was difficult to find, use the map the host will send you as I found putting the address into my own maps to be unreliable.

The accommodation is very well placed at the entrance to the Kasbah, there is a charming and warm atmosphere. We were very well received by Zakaria. The breakfast is very generous and typically Moroccan. The bed is comfortable! There is a nice roof terrace to contemplate a part of Tangier. We very much enjoyed our stays! We recommend!

Monika’s place was beautiful and in the middle of the Old Medina. It was very close to many attractions (Grand Socco, Kasbah) but it was definitely a maze - my friend and I got lost pretty much every day (fun during the day, not very fun during the night). Monika does provide a handy guide, including places to eat and a map of how to get from the Grand Socco to the Riad. Views from the room (top floor) were unbeatable and the decor was lovely.

Monika and Mostafa's house is ideally located in the heart of the Kasbah, right next to the Blue Lounge and the Baba cafe. The city center is about ten minutes away on foot. We stayed in the room upstairs, and it was a real pleasure. The view from the balcony is magnificent. Monika's house is superb, all high on three levels. The kitchen and (very small) bathroom are on the 1st floor, and the upstairs bedroom on the 2nd. So do not be afraid of the stairs (which are very pretty). Reception level, everything was perfect. Monika picked us up at the airport, gave us the right addresses (not necessarily tourist!), Was always available if needed. Finally, local pastries and small bottles of water were waiting for us in the room. Every morning at 9am, Monika and Mostafa prepared us a delicious and hearty breakfast, which was really nice to start the day. I would happily return to stay with Monika and Mostafa on occasion, and highly recommend staying with them!

This is a very nice apartment room in a pretty good location within Tangier for a reasonable price. We only stayed one night, so we cannot say that we experienced the room to its full extent, but we really enjoyed our stay. We had a little trouble finding the right building, but a local quickly set us on the right path.

Excellent option to spend a couple of days or a long season. The department has everything for you to arrive and enjoy it. Mohammed was always aware of us and even offered help in many aspects. We arrived almost at midnight and Mohammed waited for us to check in. The apartment is better than what is seen in the photographs. We were very comfortable and would stay with him again. It is very close to all the main points and has parking.
