“This thermal park has great walks and mountain bike tracks as well as the natural hot pools. The pools have recently been upgraded and there are lockers available as well as a container type cafe available. Do use the lockers provided as this area is a spot where lots of things have been reported stolen. This is a cool little spot to experience the natural hot water pools.”

“We love this spot for Taupo's best fine dinning experience. It usually has a great deal on a three course meal. The courses are not huge and over all its good value for money. We find its smart/casual so not too over the top.”

“this is a day trip recommendation out from the housewithnonails, combined with a visit to Rotorua. Lonely planet says its the "best thermal area left in new Zealand", and my guests tell me it is " at once incredibly breathtaking!!!!, and at the same time kind of chilling because of its subterranean power"- wow!!!, I call it a valley of geothermal perfection!!! The maoris call it " the place of Adorning" , and rightly so because of its spectacular geothermal activity straddling the Waikato River at lake Ohakuri. A unique boat ride takes you through this geothermal park, alive terraces, bubbling gurgling mud pools, volcanic Hot springs and most of all a very rare geothermal cave- a hidden valley of absolute exceptional natural beauty. A must see!!!! It went in the "hall of fame for tripadvisor". 073783131”

“Lake Taupo is New Zealand’s largest freshwater lake, being 120 miles in circumference. Crystal clear water is great for swimming, boating, water skiing and fishing for the world famous Taupo Trout. Kinloch offers access to the naturally beautiful Western Bays where a combination of stunning craggy cliffs rise dramatically out the lake and native bush borders the shoreline beside remote and undiscovered beaches. The lake and region is a unique for its incredibly geological history, having largely been formed from a massive series of volcanic eruptions over the previous 27,000 years. ”
