Stunning refurbished cottage nestled in the Eden Valley and just a short drive from the Lakes. The house is private and boasts lake views from both the bedrooms and the hot tub. Whilst Kiri Cottage has 2 bedrooms if you require additional beds please contact us direct to discuss this.
The cottage sits in the corner of the estate courtyard, the garden to the rear looks out across a private lake and deer park which is home to a variety of wildlife.
Edenhall is a small village situated in the heart of the Eden Valley on the edge of the Lake District. Despite being only five miles from the town of Penrith you will feel like you've entered into a secret garden which you won't want to leave.
  • A beautiful, very stylish, comfy stay. The surrounding area stunning, perfect for walking with the dog and getting some fresh air.

  • Great place you won’t be disappointed

  • I had high hopes for the cottage but what met us what better than I could have imagined. We were met by our very polite host and made to feel very welcome. The cottage is spotlessly clean and has everything you're going to need for your stay. The hot tub was warm up on our arrival and the fire place was fully stocked ready to be lit. We're looking forward to our next visit.

  • Fantastic present for my parents they loved spending there anniversary here and will soon be returning!

    Amy2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing hosts and amazing venue. The place was spotless and the team were most welcoming and there for us arriving. The venue was exactly what we were expecting and we enjoyed relaxing in the private garden in the hot tub each night under the stars with an incredible vue. The hot tub was spotless and already to go as we arrived. The accommodation is 5 star and the log burner in the bedroom really adds to the character and comfort that the property offers. Can't recommend enough! 5 star plus in my eyes!

  • Andri was amazing. The barn conversion is great and it makes a really nice home away from home. The location is perfect for exploring the Lakes but there is loads of other things happening in the area. Andri’s farm is a very special place and I would recommend it to anyone - especially those who enjoy long walks and fancy nights drinking fizz in a hot tub.

    Lauren2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Andris eco lodge is an amazing accommodation. Charismatic and comfortable cottage with plenty of space and everything you need for a get away. Andri was an amazing host and couldn’t do enough. Would definitely recommend the hot tub

    Rhys2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we arrived the experience was amazing. Andri came and showed us how to use the wood burner and think became a highlight of the stay. There truly is nothing better than a wood burning fire. Andri then took us into the local village to have a bite to eat and picked us up, truly an amazing host. The beds were so comfortable and even though it was a little cold at times it was quick to warm up once the fire was going. Milo our little puppy enjoyed many walks and wandering around the farm, although he did chase the chickens (we do apologise he just wanted to say hello). The fresh eggs were an absolute amazing touch on a morning. Hot tub was good, even with the extremely friendly cat!! Definitely be looking to come again, thank you for making our little honeymoon extra special with our handmade card and fizz!! Thanks Mr & Mrs Capewell xxxx

  • The stay was cosy, romantic, everything we needed in a very peaceful setting! Our host was very responsive and friendly, answering any questions and had great instructions for getting there and how everything worked. Honestly couldn't recommend this airbnb enough, my boyfriend amd I had a simply wonderful stay!!

    Anmol2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • I can't recommend this place enough. Amazing hospitality from the moment we got there, from both humans and animals. It's a stunning place to stay with more than everything you need. One cat especially was my best mate all 3 nights we were there. Good walks in the nearby area and a nice friendly pub in the village then a nice chill in the hot tub to end off the evening.

    Brian2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • A very chilled and homely place!

Mini Murton House is a converted dog friendly barn situated in the peaceful village of Murton. The barn retains many original features, with exposed beams and large barn door. Cosy wood burning stove, fitted kitchen, 2 bedrooms (1 mezzanine level). We are trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible: The Mini Murton House toilet has been twinned, we have 4 recycling bins and a composter. If you are coming with a dog, please let me know when booking, great places for walking the dog.
We live just next door, so if you need help with the wood burner or have any queries, please just knock and ask. If you want to book a week, please ask for prices.
Murton is 3 miles from Appleby, where there are shops, dog friendly pubs, a castle to visit and great walks along the river. Dufton is also 3 miles away with a pub and has cracking views from the beer garden.
  • Fantastic little hide-away I’m the fells - really cosy, log-fire warmth and unique home, with beautiful walks straight out of the front door - totally recommend

    Naima2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mini-Murton is a perfect little hideaway to escape and enjoy the good things in life. It’s compact but a nice, clean and interesting space for up to 4 people (and a dog). We climbed Murton Pike nearby - it’s super straight forward and you can walk from the place. We climbed it in the hail and snow and then came back to the fire with cake and tea - a perfect day! The log burning fire is super efficient at warming the space quickly - there’s no way that you’ll be cold! Nice to arrive too to fresh bread & eggs. Mary-Anne was a really good host too and made sure the fire was lit before we arrived. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a unique space and a cosy trip.

    Catherine2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mary-Anne is such an incredible host, on arrival the fire was lit, freshly baked bred and eggs, and greeted with such a warm smile and genuinely lovely person. I instantly felt at home, so safe nestled in the valley. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough, it is so peaceful. If you are searching for the perfect retreat/work space/home/training space (I used this space to hula hoop, so it goes to show how much space there is) /a retreat/a sanctuary, this is it. It truly is so cosy I felt like the queen of the valley whilst I stayed. Amazing walks, great WiFi, fully stocked wood shed, the home is equipped with everything you could ever need. This has been the best air bnb experience I have ever had hands down, best communication and Mary-anne is so thoughtful! I know you will have such an incredible experience staying here. After 1 month I found it hard to leave such a beautiful location, I will 100% be going back (: Thank you for all of the above and so much more! You are the best neighbour, all the best for the future!x

  • Highly recommend this barn for couples or families with small children who are looking for a quiet getaway. Great location, perfect distance from A66 (close but not too close to motorway) and plenty of good walking nearby. The wood burner keeps the barn lovely and toasty, even in the middle of Winter. Mary-Anne is a great host and only next door if you were to need anything. Mini Murton big on value!

    Alison2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful place in a lovely setting. We felt very welcome and would definitely come back. Highly recommend.

    Dawn2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Mary-Anne's place is very quiet and cosy. Just as described, a lovely place to stay.

    Babs2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is a characterful cottage with original artworks, in a very quiet rural spot. We climbed the nearby hill and relaxed by the wood fired stove, and wish we could have stayed longer.

    Chris2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mary-Anne was such a thoughtful host, and was always so happy to give us recommendations on where to visit and things to do. The barn was beautiful and so clean and cozy and located in the most beautiful area. We enjoyed our stay so much and wished we could have stayed longer. The whole family loved it!

A converted cow shed, now a light, airy single storey stone building open to the pitched roof that accommodates 2 people in comfort. Drop down double bed, kitchen, wet room, located on the doorstep of the Lake District in a small, charming village.
Great Strickland is a small village sandwiched between the Lake District, the Eden Valley and the Pennines. There are wonderful walks through the fields around the village as well as further afield. We are 5 miles from shops in Penrith or Shap, and the village pub serves home cooked food in a warm atmosphere.
  • Lovely place to stay. Ian and Ruth were really nice and welcoming. The Barn itself is a relaxing place to spend time and nice a comfy. The pub up the road is great and well worth a visit!

    Rich2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much to Ian and Ruth for letting us stay in their outhouse over the weekend. It was exactly what we wanted with a great fire and all the necessary facilities. The Strickland arms was a very good local, with a great choice of food, and only across the road. It was a good thing we booked because every table was reserved when we got there. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet, cosy weekend for two.

    Elliot2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant guest house, Ian and Ruth were so friendly and welcoming and it was lovely and clean. Wish I could have stayed longer but I'll definitely be going back!

    Charlotte2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, enjoyable night away, lovely and clean. Everything you need, great quiet location. Very warm welcome from ian and ruth, made to feel very welcome, perfect for a relaxing break

    Lesley2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Ian was very quick and clear on the communication side and didn't quibble at our very late check-in. Upon arrival, the place was all ready for us to sleep - nice and warm, the bed made ready which was appreciated after a long drive and as someone with a mobility problem. The accommodation is very suitable for those with mobility issues so long as they can either get up one fairly large step or if the ramp provided by Ian is suitable. We didn't test the ramp. Inside is flat, the space is not really sub divided and the bathroom is a wet room, although the floor is not non slip.

    Nia2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent host with great communication. Thanks Ian!

Perfect for a romantic getaway, or watching abundant birds and wildlife. Ideal for honeymoons, anniversaries or engagements! You won't find accommodation closer to rushing water than this! No under 12s. Check in Fridays and Mondays only.
This centuries-old converted watermill enjoys a unique location right beside a spectacular waterfall. Watch the falls from your living room or balcony, and see amazing birds and wild creatures without having to leave the comfort of your cottage. The Mill is fully equipped with everything you'd want for a relaxing break in a magical rural haven.
Rutter Falls is a wonderful local attraction, and this cottage affords you a unique opportunity to enjoy them close-up. Enjoy a cocktail as you watch the floodlit waterfall flow by your private balcony. The surrounding area is rural and picturesque, with beautiful walks along the river or through the adjoining farmland.
  • Completely amazing

    Vicky2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Relaxed and beautiful. A great spot to walk from or drive to local walks and explore a beautiful part of the country. Thank you to our hosts who were on hand when we needed them and left us to our devices for the rest of the time. Blue tits and red squirrels come right to the door to feed - just lovely.

    Lars2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • A true gem hidden away in the Lake District for the perfect getaway! We stayed in the Mill and the building itself was incredible, a fantastic open space with authentic wooden beams and spiral staircase! A very cosy interior with everything you need including a log burner for the perfect evenings. Coupled with the incredible location of being right next to Rutter Falls is a stay you will never forget. We came when the river was high so the waterfall was an incredible sight, we spent a lot of our time looking out from the balcony which is right on top of it. Such a peaceful location with the sound of the waterfall at night was almost therapeutic! Great walks literally on the doorstep and only an 8 min drive from great pubs and restaurants and a chance to drive through the river ;). Jane was a fantastic host keeping us well updated with arrival instructions and we were greated with a bottle of Prosecco and home baked bread! A fantastic stay all round.

    Keisha2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • A completely unique place to visit. Highly recommended.

    Elizabeth2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • A quirky, unique, bespoke cottage with an amazing setting next to a beautiful waterfall, with the stream just a metre from property, and a birdseye waterfall view from the high level deck outside lounge. Red squirrels eating nuts on railings right outside window. Secure garden areas for dogs. Lovely welcome tray, and Jane the host had baked a homemade loaf for us which was still warm on arrival. Very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing location. A feeling of real seclusion with access only via the ford, or very long, narrow farm tracks.

    Karen2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely wonderful trip - the Mill is a gorgeous space and Jane and her husband were very welcoming and helpful. We went for walks and visited local restaurants, but also enjoyed cosy evenings staying in and playing board games in front of the log burning stove. We plan to return in the warmer months and make even more use of the beautiful surroundings. Can’t recommend highly enough!

    Emily2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding cottage, well equipped and very comfortable. We loved seeing the red squirrels helping themselves to the peanuts. The location just next to the waterfall is truly special. It's a pity it was very cold so we couldn't spend longer out on the decking. The bonus of having the log burner was very useful and made the cottage even more cosy. Jane and Jim live next door but leave you to enjoy your holiday but available if you need them. We appreciated the little extra touches of prosecco, home made bread and excellent jam. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Catherine2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rutter Falls Holiday Cottages was the perfect place to unwind during our road trip around Northern England. We were welcomed with prosecco, homemade bread and jam from Jane & Jim, who are extremely kind, hospitable hosts. The cottage is well equipped with all the basic amenities you need, a working fireplace and plenty of books on red squirrels and the Lake District. It's an excellent hideout within driving distance to many surrounding towns. Highly recommended! Thank you again, Jane & Jim!

  • Amazing couple of nights in this beautiful home from home. Beautifully decorated and lovely little touches made this 30th Birthday very special.

    Michael2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house is stunning! Exactly what we wanted. Nice big kitchen, cozy living room with a wood burning stove and comfy beds. The hot tub was massive and fit all 6 of us in comfortably. The location is gorgeous and we went on a nice walk to The Shepherd's Inn in Langwathby (which had great food and a good gin selection!) The dishwasher was appreciated with 6 of us eating and drinking. The hosts had left tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, etc which was really nice. Fluffy dressing gowns were provided which was a nice touch and handy for the hot tub. Keeley was incredibly helpful when I accidentally booked the wrong dates and sorted it out for me. Very much appreciated! The only issues we had were that the hot tub wasn't warm enough on the first night so we couldn't use it (it was fine by the 2nd night) and there wasn't enough hot water for all 6 of us to shower each day (I somehow managed to draw the short straw and had cold showers both days! Only 4 hot showers were had each day even though the heating was on.) Also be aware of the noisy geese on the lake/fields at the back of the property if you're a light sleeper like me!

    Lizzy2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We took a new year trip to Eden hall cottage and everything exceeded expectations. The cottage was sparkling clean with lovely little touches everywhere. The kids especially liked the chalk board door and the food left for them to feed Florence the deer in the mornings. We had a lovely day so my one year old loved running free around the fields and lake at the back of the house. The views from the cottage were lovely. The kitchen was excellently equipped so we cooked in the cottage both days and it was easy work with a nice big cooker. The hot tub went down well with everyone and coming in to a log hire afterwards was a dream 😁 over all couldn’t fault a thing and would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely start to 2020 ✨

    Joanna2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully styled interior throughout and in a beautiful location! Spotless on arrival and clear communication throughout. The only disappointing thing was that the hot tub wasn’t warm enough to use until our 2nd night, although I understand that this can’t always be avoided when cleaning and maintaining the tub following previous guests.

    Hannah2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home in a quiet part of the world, we enjoyed a few quiet family days relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying time away. Big thanks to Joe for all his help

    Fiona2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful and stylish house with stunning views. The hosts were great with communication and there’s a lot more space than it appears in the photos. We loved the hot tub & the log burner!! Would definitely recommend

Our charming cottage is located in a small, tranquil village 10 minutes from Lake Ullswater in the Lake District. The spacious 2 bedrooms will comfortably sleep 4 people who can enjoy the cozy log burner or private walled garden whatever the season. The cottage is a ideal base for adventures into the lakes, attending a wedding at the nearby Askham or Knipe Halls or if you are simply looking for a escape into the country!
The cottage is located in Great Strickland, a small village beautifully positioned between the landscape of The Pennine and Lake District fells. Although the cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, there is a village pub and many other highly recommended eateries on our doorstep including the award winning Askham Hall and George & Dragon pub, Clifton. Penrith, our local market town is 5 miles away and features shops, bars and restaurants. We are in a ideal location for those attending weddings at nearby Askham Hall (5 minute drive) Knipe Hall, Morland Hall and further into the lakes.
The village is a close knit community where you will be made to feel most welcome, our past guests have commented many times on this. We are on the doorstep of the Lake District, being only a ten minute drive from Lake Ullswater at Pooley Bridge. The lakes are a stunning attraction in every season! We have a range of leaflets, walks and ideas for you to visit from a gentle steam boat ride to Go Ape for the more adventurous! We are located 2 miles from both Askham Hall and Morland Hall and nearby to Knipe Hall and the hotels in the lakes should you be visiting us for a wedding or special occasion. We can help you with taxi arrangements.
  • We were looking for a place near to the Lake District where we could put a 2 year old down without disturbing her. This was the perfect place. Joan was so welcoming and had even treated us to a breakfast hamper. The house was pointless and the travel cot was already set up which saved us bringing our own. We will definitely be visiting again.

    Marriyum2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Joan's cottage was lovely and cosy with the fire on ready for us when we arrived. Joan was an excellent host. She met us at the property when we arrived and gave us some ideas of what to do while in the area. The breakfast hamper provided was a lovely touch.

    Lee2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy cottage, the heat and fragrance of the door let us forget the exhaustion of the journey. The boiler in the room was very warm. The landlord was not at home, and his husband met me. He was very friendly and humorous. He introduced us to the use of the room. He said that I think I should have said everything I know. My only regret is that I cannot speak Chinese. His words amused us all. Our journey from Sky Island to Oxford was too long, so we chose to stay here for one night. This was a short stay. I regret not being able to stay for a few more days. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. The room is too quiet. Next time you have the opportunity, you must stay a few more days. Highly recommend this place to everyone, great!

    2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Joan's place was very cosy and clean. Great location to access the lakes with ease. The place itself was well equipped and extremely cosy. The fire was lit for our arrival which was great. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, nice bathroom and kitchen. Cannot fault, well worth booking for a relaxing stay.

  • We had a great stay- Carly met us and was very friendly. Her apartment was spacious and comfortable, with cooking facilities. There was some road noise, we had ear plugs so didn't really hear it. We'd recommend staying here.

A traditional sandstone barn conversion, with a sheltered garden in the beautiful village of Temple Sowerby. Located in the Eden Valley you will be well placed for trips to the Lakes or the Dales. In the village there is a local pub offering 'Day Fishing Licences' on the local river, a church and 'The House at Temple Sowerby' if you prefer some 'Fine Dining'. A short beautiful walk will bring you to 'Acorn Bank' National Trust House, with spectacular walks along the river and a tea room.
All spaces can be used and I hope you will get use of the sheltered garden area.
Temple Sowerby is a great village with a Green with swings etc for kids to play. A short walk out of the village is Acorn Bank National Trust House. You are nestled between the Lakes and Dales with easy access to each.
  • Stayed at the Old Tannery Cottage for 3 nights/4 days. Fantastic cottage, everything you need and perfect for my husband and I, our two children 9 and 11 and our two golden retrievers. Thank you very much, will definitely be returning in the summer 😊

  • Nice location and very quiet, being at the end of a quiet road in Temple Sowerby. Nice Accomodation with a fantastic log burner which was perfect for the colder nights. Garden is private and completely enclosed so would be ideal if you are taking a dog or small children. Lovely place to stay I would certainly recommend

  • This is a lovely cottage on the edge of Temple Sowerby - very quiet location with a short walk to a playground & pub, and easily accessible by car to lots of great places across the Lake District! The host John was very friendly & quick at answering questions. We stayed there as a family with two boys. The flat was very clean & the added touches like the games drawer were great - the kids now love Monopoly! As we have family nearby we will be back soon. Thanks John : )

  • Cosy cottage, spacious, very clean and quiet. It was a good base for exploring the Lakes and Yorkshire Dale's. Had a wonderful stay.

  • This is a very peaceful and secluded retreat. Comfortably furnished. The garden was secure and perfect for our dog. The village is quiet with a lovely green - there is no shop but there is a local pub which does food a few minutes walk away.

  • This is a delightful barn conversion, well equipped and modernised, with thoughtful touches. Its in a very peaceful and quiet location on the edge of a pretty Eden valley village. Great place for dogs with a village green just along the road in one direction and a National Trust property with footpaths in the other direction (Acorn Bank). Great shower and comfy beds.

    Gwendy2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a brilliant stay at the cottage. It was clean and tidy with all of the things needed to make it a home away from home. The main bedroom is spacious as is the living room. The weather during our visit was excellent most of the time so we did not make use of the log burner but hope to make use of it on our next visit during the colder months. We were able to let our two year old run around the garden without too much fear of a trip to A&E! The beds are comfy and allowed us to drift off to sleep quickly after a day exploring the local area. We planned each day using the cottage wifi, a luxury to have after stopping in a number of locations within the area with patchy mobile signal. The area is peaceful as it is right on the edge of the village with a play area close by for little ones. The village is full of friendly people, we have stayed in the area around the village a few times and have started to be remembered by people, it is such a change to living in a busy city. The cottage is within walking distance of Acorn Bank, a huge National Trust estate with a working mill and some of the most scenic walks we have come across. Lowther Castle is another estate close by with a large wooden castle playground, again there are some amazing views across into the lakes as you walk to the edge of the estate from the top of the woodland bank looking out on the steps of the summer house. There was enough to do for a week within a fifteen minute drive of the cottage with some days being completely car free if you enjoy walking.

Hilltop Lodge is a beautiful detached timber building set in enclosed garden (perfect for dogs). It's open plan, with a wood-burning stove to keep you warm on an evening, with well-equipped modern kitchen and dining area. It has large windows with lots of natural light. The garden is abundant in wildlife throughout the year, and has a lovely terrace to sit out on. It’s a great base for relaxing, enjoying wildlife, adventuring, or being creative. An 11am check-out will add to the relaxed feel.
Hilltop Lodge is set within an enclosed garden, surrounded by wildlife. The open plan character makes for a great space - light and airy in the summer but cosy in the autumn & winter months. There's nothing like a wood burning stove and the smell of wood-smoke to make you feel relaxed at this time of year. The Lodge is newly refurbished, and has a contemporary yet country feel to it. The kitchen is well-stocked & we provide plenty of firewood. Due to the recent Covid-19 outbreak, we're using conventional cleaning products for kitchen/bathroom/surfaces as a precaution, with extra diligence during cleaning between bookings. Plenty of hand-wash is provided, as well as anti-bacterial gel. There is absolutely no need to make contact with fellow humans either! It's set up for self-checkout so you can be assured that measures to reduce exposure here are minimised as far as reasonably possible. All your basics will be there such as tea, coffee, sugar, oils, spices & seasonings. We’ll provide some seasonal and/or local goodies to help you settle in, as well as games for you to while away the evenings or rainy days. Due to its peaceful setting, space and natural light, it’s perfect for those seeking somewhere to be creative away from the hubbub. There are free range chickens, ducks, children & a friendly, well-behaved dog so bear this in mind when you drive in through the main gates! (they aren't in the Lodge's garden). Hilltop Lodge is just a mile or so from Appleby, in the village of Colby where there are views of the Pennines and the Yorkshire Dales. Colby Beck runs through the village to the River Eden, and there are riverside footpaths to enjoy, just 2 minutes away. Appleby has lots of independent restaurants, pubs, butchers, grocers, giftshops, cafes, chemist and a gallery. Bolton (2 ½ miles away) has a great pub and makes for a pleasant evening bike ride. Dogs are very welcome (2 dogs max.). This project is part funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
Hilltop Lodge is the perfect place to base yourself if you’re looking for adventures or to relax in the Eden Valley or nearby Lake District, Yorkshire Dales or Pennines. There’s a huge network of footpaths and bridleways to explore, as well as National Cycle Network routes that pass the doorstep (incl. route 71) and through Appleby. Locally, we have well-marked footpaths and bridleways and you’ll a find map of the local area in the Lodge. We can recommend routes. Appleby is just a mile or so away, and there are plenty of pubs cafes and shops.
  • Annabelle's hilltop lodge was just splendid. It was an incredibly easy check-in and there was cake for us on arrival. The lodge was spotless and, once the fire got going, it was so cosy! Amazingly comfy bed as well. The area was so relaxing too. Living in the city makes you forget what real peace can be like, and being at the lodge was a perfect little getaway to relax. We also got to spend some time with Annabelle's lovely on-site animals. We would definitely return!

    Alex2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay. The lodge was ideal for what we needed, nice and cosy with everything you could need. The fenced off area for the dogs was great too. We would definitely stay again as we all loved it.

  • We had a brilliant stay in a lovely location and fab lodge! The facilities were fantastic and loved the eco friendly and cruelty free products :) we will have to come back In the summer months to make the most of the garden, as it was great to watch the animals in the garden! The cake was also delicious 😍

  • We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Hilltop Lodge and it was absolutely perfect. Lemon drizzle cake on arrival was such a lovely touch, together with fresh milk, tea and coffee to help settle after a long journey! The cabin had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and the kitchen was well equipped. We loved the log burner, once it got going it kept the whole place nice and warm. A great location for exploring the local area. Maps and suggestions are provided which was super helpful. We walked into Appleby from the lodge and visited Ullswater and Aira Force which was short drive, it was stunning. If you’re a member of the national trust you can park for free there - we paid £9 for 4+ hours! We had such a great weekend, would recommend to anyone. Thanks Annabelle!

  • My partner and I had a relaxing 2 night stay at Hilltop Lodge and it was absolutely perfect. A very tasty lemon drizzle cake was waiting for us when we arrived together with milk, tea and coffee etc. The log burning stove was a great addition which kept the lodge toasty warm. It's in a peaceful setting and is in a great location for exploring the local area. The ducks and chickens added to the charm and were fun to watch. We visited Ullswater and Aira Force which was about a 25 minute drive away. We hope to visit again!

    James2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place for visiting Appleby and the surrounding areas. The lodge was beautifully decorated, very clean and had everything we needed. We were even surprised by a lovely lemon cake when we arrived! There was also a full box of leaflets and maps to help find walks in the local area and things to go and do. Annabelle and her husband were very kind and welcoming. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay.

Dunkeld Cottage is a detached chocolate box cottage within easy reach of the Lake District. Situated in a gorgeous village location with Michelin-listed bistro within walking distance. Great Wifi and Pet-friendly! Spacious and welcoming kitchen/breakfast room with full appliances. Large, cosy living/dining room with feature fireplace. Two double bedrooms and a bathroom with bath and shower over. Fully enclosed and private garden. Ideal for touring the Lake District ...
Dunkeld Cottage is a chocolate box style cottage within easy reach of the Lake District and is nestled at the foot of the Pennines! The cottage features stunning beams and original period features throughout, with everything thought of to make your stay a comfortable, relaxing one! The cottage dates back to 1820 and yet has been extremely well maintained and looked after - with all the mod cons! The kitchen/breakfast room is particularly lovely and has pretty views over the garden and is very spacious. All of the appliances you could need are here - including integral dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and of course a hob and double oven. There is a spacious and cosy lounge/dining room which features a truly amazing fireplace, beamed ceilings throughout, comfy sofas, TV with numerous digital channels, WiFi, and a desk with leaflets on the local area and further seating. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, again, boasting glorious beams throughout and are very charming. The master bedroom features a superking bed - or it can be turned into two single beds - ideal for families. The second bedroom has a double bed and both bedrooms have plenty of storage for your clothes and personal items. There is also a bathroom with a bath - ideal for a bubbly soaking after a long Lake District walk! The garden is fully enclosed and private and there is plenty of room for you to bring your bikes - and probably anything else like a canoe etc.. - just ask us! We love the fact that Ullswater is around a 15 minute scenic drive from the cottage and it is our favourite day out - there's so much to do there from walking the Ullswater Way, taking a Steamer boat out or getting involved in water sports. The villages of Pooley Bridge, Patterdale and Glenridding all provide plenty of sustenance as well, after a long day's activity! Equally, the Pennines are the backdrop of the cottage, and if you want to head away from the crowds that can sometimes gather in the summer, then a delightful stroll around Pennine country may be just what you need! Another great day out is just a short hop to the village of Dufton where you can climb the famous High Cup Nick. Likewise, Keswick is only a relatively short, scenic drive away - we recommend a boat trip, a hike up the famous Cat Bells, followed by a pub lunch or dinner in the fantastic town centre. There's so much to do - you'll need to keep coming back to do more! :)
Kirkby Thore is situated just a short drive from the Lake District - and most notably, glorious Ullswater - it's simply our favourite day out! You can walk a stretch of the Ullswater Way, with boat trips and tea-shops aplenty along the route! In our actual village, and within a short walk of the cottage, you will find a Michelin-listed bistro which serves fabulous food and alcohol, all at reasonable prices, given the quality. But if you fancy a stroll, a half an hours walk along the River Eden or along a country lane, takes you to Temple Sowerby, which is a traditional English pub. Another local walk takes you to the very pretty village of Long Marton which also has a quintessential English pub. Likewise, another half an hour to three quarters glorious walk along the River will let you arrive at Bolton, where another modern and stylish pub awaits you! We highly recommend you also visit the nearby village of Dufton and head up Dufton Pike if you have the legs for it - the views are simply superb. A stay at Dunkeld Cottage will enable you to enjoy delights both locally and also great as a base for exploring all the lakes - we love visiting Keswick and Grasmere, and a walk to Easedale Tarn is a gorgeous walk, ideal for all the family and is simply stunning. Guests who book with us are provided with ample guidance for days out, and we also regularly blog about the stuff we get up to when we visit - hopefully giving plenty of ideas!

A beautiful one bedroom wooden hut situated in the heart of the Eden Valley. Hidden amongst the trees is this lovely hut for up to 2 people with an veranda to peruse the local scenery. 2 chairs and all cooking implements including a gas BBQ and a table are provided. Moreover, enjoy toasting marshmallows over a fire pit with locally sourced logs and kindling.
We are perfectly situated on the cycling Coast to Coast route at the foot of the Peninnes, an ideal location to spend a relaxing but rejuvenating evening before the big climb up Hartside. Alternatively, leave the Pod, amble along the river to Lacey's Caves, walk around the stone circle Long Meg and have a relaxing treat in The Watermill in Little Salkeld.
The hut is situated in an amazing space between woodland and a privately owned sports field with full access to guests. Also available to guests is our communual area, the Man Shack. Sit by the cosy woodburner on those evenings that are just that little bit nippy to sit outside. You can walk to nearby stone circle Long Meg or Lacey's caves by the River Eden and finish with a well deserved treat at The Watermill in Little Salkeld. Or, just hang out by the hut, explore the woods close by and play on the hidden slack lines.
  • Lucy's place is really lovely for a glamping-esque experience. We were greeted on arrival which was great but then left to ourselves. Everything is provided to have a fire and to cook with wood, utensils, pans, dishes etc along with a gas stove which we really enjoyed. You truly are out by yourselves (not inc the surrounding wildlife) adjacent to a field they use to host festivals - which was pretty cool to walk around. It was a really chilly night (we were last night of the season though so I'm sure not a problem for others) but the bed had a huge thick duvet so we were cosy under that. Prepared to be awoken by the morning chorus of many many birds and sunlight coming in through the windows, but it kind of just added to the experience! I think a few extra touches would really boost this place to a more luxurious stay but as is, a really sweet place which I would recommend for those who like to camp.

    Ella2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • The pod was lovely. Everything we needed for a fire was provided, everything was user-friendly, lots of wildlife around at night, even saw some deer. Very relaxing!

A newly built annexe with its own entrance and small garden in the peaceful Cumbrian village of Winskill. Phenomenal views over the Pennines, and Lake District fells. Just by the C2C cycle route with secure bike storage available. Outdoor heated swimming pool a few minutes walk (summer months!), plus a fantastic playground even closer to hand. Brand new sofa bed and bunk bed mattresses installed March 2019.
The house and annexe are newly built. The windows look over farm land to Cross Fell and the northern Pennines. Very rural and peaceful.
The local area is quiet and rural, but there are a range of pubs, village shops, Post Office, recreation grounds, outdoor heated pools, cafes and bakery all within easy travelling, as well as the Carlisle-Settle railway. The coast to coast cycle route passes the end of the road into the village. There is easy access to the Pennines and Lake District for a range of outdoor activities.
  • Booked the annexe last minute for a weekend walking with a mate. This was a perfect stay. Really friendly, clean and it actually felt like a lie a little it of luxary great for walking in the area close to the motorway and amenities . Beds were comfy, great shower and would highly recommend.

  • Modern, spacious loft conversion over a garage, very clean and comfortable with lovely hosts. Quiet and peaceful at night, private garden with lovely views and dog friendly.

  • This is such a lovely little place!! We loved it and wished we were there more than one night. It's so peaceful and there are beautiful views out the windows in the morning. It felt bigger than we expected and was ideal for myself, my husband and 3yr old. The bath was a good bonus - in a small place that could have been left out but would be great after walking and with kids too. Lovely place with nice touches and warm welcome from Catherine.

  • A charming place between the Yorkshire Dales and The Lake District. The plentiful breakfast, good wifi, Neflix and Amazon Alexa were great touches, as well as the numerous USB charging options available. The Black Swan pub also does great, hearty food. Sally and Nick were the perfect hosts; unobtrusive but available whenever required. I would highly recommend!

The bedroom is a comfortable and stylish double room in a converted Methodist chapel. Guests have sole use of a unique, luxury bathroom with shower, Sauna and hot tub across the hall and access to a shared living room, kitchen and utilities. The views from the bedroom are across the valley to the West and we are located just a five minute walk from the village of Garrigill and off the Pennine way. We are also on the C2C cycleway, so a perfect place for treating those tired limbs to some TLC!
Breakfast is not included in the price but you can prepare your own in our kitchen and store food in your own fridge. We will happily bring the shopping in for you if you don’t have your own transport. We do provide free tea and coffee facilities in your room. Our dog lives downstairs but we ask that you don't bring your own as we are keen to keep the guest areas free from dog hair. However, you will come into contact with her in the shared spaces and she does love a cuddle. The chapel is an ongoing renovation project and some areas may also have some dust, however the areas open to guests are clean and dust free. We are also happy to provide washing and drying facilities at a small extra charge as we understand how important this is after a long day on the hill or bike. There is a lockable indoor space for your bikes and car parking is on the quiet roadside directly outside the chapel.
A beautiful waterfall flows directly outside the chapel and can be heard from most rooms. Garrigill, just five minutes walk away, is a quiet village with a shop and art gallery. At present the pub is undergoing renovation work but there are occasional pub nights in the village hall as well as other events. We are happy to provide transport to and from Alston if you travelled by foot or by bike. Alston itself is a bustling town with plentiful attractions, events, eateries, pubs and independent shops. Also, nearby Nenthead hosts a newly opened Arts and Visitor centre which has numerous events on throughout the year. Please note that phone signal in and around the village is limited although some providers do work in the chapel. We also have wifi but no working TV signal. The hosts are keen musicians and if you wish to make your own fun there are a plethora of musical instruments (some homemade) that you can play for the evenings entertainment.
  • This converted chapel is amazing and the hosts fantastic. We had a great chat about the history of the property and got loads of tips for local amenities. We could have stayed in the hot tub for another three hours, it's like a spa treatment especially coupled with the sauna. See if you can spot a red squirrel on your stay here and enjoy the tour of the rest of the building!

    Matthew2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for one night but wished we had stayed for more. This was so much more than expected, the chapel was exquisitely designed with a homely, spiritual feel. We slept the best we have in a long long time! I can’t put into words how amazing the spa bathroom is, with sauna and the most amazing hot tub, it’s an experience everyone should try! The extra touches like the locally sourced handmade soaps and beautiful fluffy towels were fantastic. It was like a 5star spa, we were flabbergasted at how low the price is for this experience. The bedroom is straight opposite the spa bathroom and everything was clean and immaculate! The hosts are really genuinely lovely people who couldn’t have made us welcome any more. The waterfall in the garden is spectacular as is all your surroundings in the area. Couldn’t recommend this place more for a relaxing stay to totally zone out from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Thank you so much, we will 100% be returning and couldn’t recommend this place enough!

  • Sarka-Jo and Mos were fantastic hosts! From the moment we arrived they made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of great local tips. It's impressive what they did with the place and glad to be able to say that I slept (very well!) in a chapel. Although the entire place is amazing, we spent most of our time in the bathroom which has everything you need if you're a spa lover! The instructions for the sauna and hot tub were also really easy to follow. Thank you both so much for your hospitality, we really enjoyed our time in the chapel(bathroom)! Warm wishes, Mariana

  • Just had a lovely 2 night stay for our 20th wedding anniversary, the chapel is beautiful and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming and make you feel at home, the two collies are the best behaved dogs I have ever met and very welcoming also, the room was very comfortable and clean and the bathroom is to die for! We were a little worried about the roads due to the snow but the host kept us updated and we arrived safely, thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to be back in the summer ❤️😊

Thanks for making my birthday weekend a special one to remember!!

  • What a lovely welcome from Joanna in this little gem of a place, looking over the Eden valley from the picture windows on the landing. The directions to the property were spot on and we found it easily. Very clean, peaceful and quiet. A comfortable bed and a fantastic breakfast which was served to us with a smile! So much choice and fresh seasonal fruit was a bonus. We would highly recommend this property for an overnight stay as we did on our way up to Scotland or a longer stay as there is plenty to do in the area. Next time I’m sure we’ll stay longer! Thank you Joanna.

In our humble opinion, Ullswater is the most impressive of all the Cumbrian Lakes . We are so lucky that it is just a very short drive away with its Steamer boat tours, Aira Force waterfall, and stunning walks for all abilities. The popular visitor attraction Lowther Castle is just a 5 min drive away, as is Askham Hall. The popular market town of Penrith, is also just a 5 min drive northwards . The Rheged Visitors Centre on the outskirts of the Penrith just off the A66, is a favourite with visitors, providing all weather activities and entertainment for all ages. Guests wishing to venture into the National Park can reach Keswick in 25 minutes from Rose Barn. The Eden Valley features some beautiful hidden gems such as the picturesque villages of Morland, Crosby Ravensworth & Dufton. Our Welcome Handbook and Reading Basket provides guests with our Top Ten recommended activities and a vast array of other visits and opportunities on offer locally.
  • Amazing property - sparkling clean and really well-equipped with everything you could need and more. The hosts were fantastic, and even left us some homemade goodies for our arrival. The hot tub was a fab addition and really made our weekend. Great location as well. Would highly recommend

  • Daniels place is clean comfortable and super special. The little touches in place such as fresh bread, milk and home made biscuits were a lovely treat. Anyone looking for a great stay to explore north cumbria this is it.

  • Fantastic accommodation with lovely extras.

  • We had the most wonderful stay in the lovely Rose Barn. The hosts even provided birthday balloons and a bottle of bubbly for us as when we arrived as it was my wife’s birthday. The welcome hamper was a great touch and filled with quality produce. The whole place was warm, welcoming and exceptionally clean. The hot tub is very well maintained and one of the best we’ve had in a stay like this. We can’t wait to stay again and would highly recommend. We were a family with young children and the location is perfect for this. Also, the pub in the village does fantastic food and is literally a minute across the road.

    Mark2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Rose cottage is beautiful. It's very clean with lovely touches such as soft towels and beautiful bedding. There is everything that you need to cook in the kitchen. The outside space is fantastic and the hot tub was perfect to relax in after a day walking. We really enjoyed our stay, the location is perfect with the George and dragon pub a couple of minutes walk away and easy access to the ullswater area. We would definitely recommend.

    Anna2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic stay, really quick communication with the owners from the minute we booked it and welcome on arrival. Lovely starter pack left in the kitchen of bread, milk, tea and homemade treats everything was really well though through. The hot tub was amazing. We all really enjoyed our short break.

  • A lovely barn conversion apartment with excellent facilities and amazing views of the Pennines within walking distance of the apartment. Kerry is a thoughtful host who was there to greet us at check in and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. We enjoyed this quiet retreat made just that bit better with some leisurely walks through the countryside.

The honey pot of Pooley Bridge and Ullswater are a short drive for a fun day out. The Pennines and Yorkshire Dales National Park is only a short drive in the opposite direction. The Eden valley north of Great Strickland is a hidden gem of pretty villages, rivers and stones circles to explore. It is a beautiful area filled with vistas and friendly people.
  • Really lovely yurt in peaceful woodland surroundings. Log burner kept the place nice and cosy when the rain and wind were blowing outside. Warm and friendly reception from Andri, who told us about the pub in Great Strickland village - food and beer both really good. Definitely planning to return in the springtime. Highly recommended!

  • Beautiful, cosy yurt, in a lovely woodland. Quiet spot, but easy to get to the Lake District for great walks. Very clean, had everything we needed for cooking etc., and we loved having the fire. Being able to see the sky and trees through the top section of roof was lovely too, and waking up to the sound of birdsong. Perfect for a relaxed weekend away, would 100% recommend!

    Kate2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time staying at Great Strickland. Host is amazing, place is really clean and thank you Andri for giving us top tips on where to go around the lakes. Looking forward to re-book again in the near future.

  • We had a great stay in the yurt of Andri! The area is lovely, super well organised and furnished to make a bbq and enjoy the quietness of nature. It is well located to visit the lake district (Penrith, ullswater, Keswick, etc) and also close to the Hadrian's wall. We highly recommend for everyone who wants to live unique holidays!

  • Fabulous location, absolutely beautiful yurt! Andri is such a great host, great place all round! We will defiantly be back again! Thanks for such a lovely stay Andri

    Kelly2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning yurt with beautiful light pouring in from above. Plenty of space and privacy, with your own kitchen and dining area as well as the yurt. Beautiful woodland setting and lovely local pubs/restaurants. Andri welcomed us on our arrival and Sarah was able to help settle an issue with noisy guests overnight. We loved the log burner which created cosy nights in and star gazing out of the roof! Hosts very eager to help and gave us lots of tips for local places to visit. We enjoyed kayaking across Coniston Water and walks up Harrop Tarn from Dob Gill and Stickle Tarn.

The Weigh Office can accommodate a maximum of two people. It offers a lounge (with views of the Signal Box and Whinfell Forest), a modern kitchen, a bathroom and a double bed on a mezzanine. • My partner and I stayed at the Cliburn weigh office for a quiet weekend away. The setting and accommodation was perfect. We made use of the log burner which was a huge plus as it made our stay very cosy. It had everything we needed. Thank you for a lovely weekend. We will be back again.

  • We had a lovely few days here. The cosy and warm cottage was lovely to come home to after a day of walking in the Lakes. Being only 15 minutes from Ullswater was amazing and meant we did and saw loads. Gavin and Wendy were so helpful and we would recommend their lovely cottage. It was peaceful and the view from the cottage was gorgeous.

    Sarah2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice stay. Beautiful quiet location close to Penrith and the Lake District. Comfortable, clean and warm accommodation. Thank you Gavin and Wendy.

    Alexis2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time staying the lovely cozy weigh office! The space is so well thought out and there was everything we needed for our trip. It was comfy and warm and really well placed for our runs/walks in the Lakes. The sky light was lovely for star watching and waking up to crisp frosty mornings. Thank you Gavin for welcoming us and for the wine and treats! We would definitely stay again.

    Faye2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for exploring the Eden Valley, warm, dry and clean. Very compact, and stairs to the mezzanine level are novel on the first night but after walking entirely around Ullswater with stiff muscles they were more of a challenge :-)

Cosy studio situated in the centre of Dufton. Ideal base for walkers and those wishing to visit the Lakes, Eden valley and the Dales.
We are in walking distance of the popular “High Cup Nick” that has appeared on Julia Bradbury best 100 walks. You could come and stay for a long weekend or a week and not have to get back in your car. Dufton is within 30-45 minutes drive to the start of the lakes, so ideal to use as a base. The Stag Inn is a minute away serving lovely food and cask ales.
We have a lovely walk through the Ghyll, beautiful when the blue bells are out, lots of walks for dog owners. From Easter we have a cafe/ shop that serves lovely homemade cakes, full English breakfast, burgers, etc. The last Friday of every month The Stag has live music.
  • Perfect weekend getaway. Lots of thoughtful touches from Julie, a cosy and comfortable annexe, great pub in the village and beautiful walks from the door.

    Ruth2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Annexe was very well equipped and had everything I needed. Perfect for a couple as well. Extra special was the breakfast that was left for me. Really helpful as there is no shop in Dufton. The Stag pub, two minutes walk away is excellent too. Wonderful walking all round Dufton and stunning scenery.

    Linda2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice annex. Would recommend! Postcode is really good, took us straight to the property. Had everything we needed. Loverly clean and warm. Julie was loverly.

  • Great place... Warm cozy and great location

    Sarah2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for somewhere we could really relax and enjoy the countryside and this place didn’t disappoint. The only thing that surprised me was the fact it was actually available at such short notice and at such a fantastic price! Julie made it feel really homely and she left us eggs bread cereal and a cake which was lovely! We took our dog and he settled really well, Jimmy the pig never really bothered us and Blue the dog came to say hello but again was no bother at all. We love animals so I thought this added a bit extra anyway. The area itself is great for walks, even in the rain! There are some great local pubs as well with good food that allow pets so we got everything we wanted. We will definitely stay here again In the future!!

  • Penny and Antons is amazing, the log yurts are brilliant and quirky but still very cosy and feel luxury with the massive beds and brilliantly powerful shower. The pub is fantastic, full of games to play on the wetter days and very dog friendly. penny’s menu is superb, huge menu but every Meal that comes out is bursting with flavour and can tell it has been made with love, overall an excellent experience and one we will be doing over in the summertime. AMAZING.

    Jason2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely hut with plenty of space for the 5 of us who stayed there. Modern facilities which were very clean. Right next to a pub as well which served delicious food and drinks with a great vegetarian selection. Location was rural and very picturesque but not too far from Penrith town. Overall a great stay with great hospitality!

  • The wooden house is really beautiful. We had a great time. It looks better in reality than on the pictures. The beds are very comfortable, the area is quite big, big bathroom and great shower. House is next to the pub where food is delicious. We loved Pies's ;) This Airbnb offer also free, big and delicious breakfast what makes everything so easy. Location is great, around 20 mins from Keswick. Will definitely come back;) Great experience.

Keld Farm cottage is attached to the main farmhouse with a large garden on the outskirts of a small farming village Kings Meaburn, situated seven miles from Appleby-in-Westmorland and 10 miles south of Penrith. Accomodation: Fully equipped kitchen, large lounge with log fire, downstairs toilet. Upstairs has a large double bedroom and a twin bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower. Keld Farm A unique experience of staying on a working farm… Meet the animals!
  • We really enjoyed our stay. It is a lovely house. British farm houses are often a chintzy style this was more like a traditional Scandinavian style in blue. Anyway we liked it, and the log fire and the trip round the farm. We felt very at home, although its a bit better than our home. We also had a nice days walk on the nearby Pennines.

    Jeremy2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for peace and quiet this is the place! It was just what we needed. Loads of great places to visit near by and the house itself was very clean and comfortable. The fire in the lounge was lovely. Hopefully be back soon.

  • Janet and Johnny were wonderful, accommodating hosts and we had a relaxing, peaceful stay on their farm. There are some fantastic walks in the area, and we enjoyed being able to get out and about in the Lake District. The house is beautiful and in a stunning location, and the piano is a wonderful addition which we enjoyed using immensely! The local villages are also great spots to find local produce, we loved the village shop in Morland. I would recommend Keld Farm for anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful stay in the Lakes and for any walking enthusiasts.

    Michael2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best place we have stayed in since being on Airbnb , ideal for us when hiking in the Lakes, 30-40 mins to Patterdale. It was spacious and full of character, we just loved the stair case and lounge. Although it was supposed to be mid summer the downstairs was a bit chilly because of the bad weather we are having (there is central heating), upstairs was fine. We ended up putting on the open fire which was just fab. I can see us staying there again with the open fire on and the rain beating down on the window in the autumn/winter. We enjoyed wandering around the farm and fields. We loved it and would happily stay again.

    Rick2019-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful home in the beautiful English countryside conveniently located just west of the Lake District. We stayed two nights and immensely enjoyed the property itself. The house has a beautiful side garden where we ate most of our meals. There was plenty of room for four guests, and we would definitely stay here again in the future. Janet was welcoming and helpful and we greatly enjoyed our stay.

    Sarah2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the farm was lovely! Great spot from which to explore the Lake District. This is a great old home and we had tons of space, great kitchen, sitting room, etc. I’d definitely recommend!
