“Great little coffee shop a mile and a half from Mel's Place. It's like a mini-Starbucks. The "Dirty Hippie" is my favorite coffee drink there. Homemade muffins and other grab n go pastries/bagels. They close at 11 a.m. Located in the parking lot of Far Flung Outdoor Center. This is a walk up window to order. There is outdoor covered seating right next to the building.”

Gas Station
“Gas station/convenience store/cafe, 1 mile from Mel's Place near the corner of Indian Head rd and Hwy. 118. Public restrooms. I hear the cafe is good (haven't eaten there). Check their hours. I think they close early. There are only 2 gas stations in this area (not including the ones in the park) and there are often long lines during holidays and busy times. They also run out of gas occasionally during those times. It's a good rule out here to get gas every chance you get. Firewood bundles Camping supplies Ice/beer/wine Hats/clothing You can get propane cylinders re-filled here. Ask inside”
