“There are too many great restaurants in Galveston to even begin to name them all, so I am adding my personal favorites. Only open for breakfast and lunch. The long lines will tell you how popular this place is! Great food you won't regret. Middle of the road pricey for a family. ”

“Located near UTMB, this is a locals' favorite for brunch, where you can get carafes of mimosas with orange, grapefruit, pineapple or cranberry juice. Make this your breakfast or lunch spot, because they close at 3 PM. My favorites for lunch are the Mile High Meatloaf or the Goat Cheese and Candied Pecan Salad. ”

“Locally made and loved by locals, Hey Mikey's is the best place for ice cream...not just on the island, but ANYWHERE! There's a reason the line is out the door sometimes, but it's always worth the wait. New flavors are always popping up, with interesting combinations and flavors sure to please. Some example are Nutter Butter, Irish Car Bomb, and Grandma's Nuts, but there are 20 flavors to choose from on any given day. Need a few more carbs? Stick a scoop in a freshly baked donut! Yep, they do that too. Or warm up one of their home made brownies (seriously - BEST brownie you'll ever have) and have a scoop or three on top. ”

“Excellent place to relax and grab an exquisite bite prepared by the gourmet chef. Highly recommend for breakfast, brunch or dinner. In addition to main indoor seating area, they have a large enclosed heated porch which is pet-friendly: a huge plus for us. They will bring your dogs water at the same time as they bring it to you. The menu is awesome and they have happy hour as well. ”

“This place has pretty delicious coffee and is locally run. They don't make any fancy drinks, though, it's more of a place to buy ground coffee for your mornings. But they do typically have free samples!!”
