With magnificent views over rolling fields out to the Atlantic ocean our cottage offers a chance to explore the wild wonderful coast of North Cornwall at its best!
Our cottage was featured in the National Guardian Top Ten Cool Cottages in North Cornwall 2014 !! We offer rustic simplicity! It has a seperate snug with TV and DVD. A large vaulted bedroom, and kitchen /dining/ seating room with log burner and views out to the Atlantic ocean.
Breathtaking cliff top walks, wander across beautiful beaches, come home to a roaring log fire, cozy up and watch a classic movie with a glass of wine!
  • We arrived a day later than planned due to unforeseen circumstances and then arrived late at night instead of in the afternoon. Caroline was completely delightful and understanding . The warmest of welcomes, a roaring fire and delicious soup greeted us when we finally arrived. The cottage was as beautiful as the website claimed and all the furnishings fresh and incredibly comfortable (especially the bed). The cottage is tiny but the ceilings are high (important when your husband is 6' 5") . The cottage was spotlessly clean. We thoroughly recommend this cottage and very much hope to return soon.

  • What a charming and wonderful place to stay. We had the most wonderful weekend, we were greeted by Tony who brought us lovely homemade soup and bread, just what you need after the drive. We spent the following day walking on the coastal path - it's a little challenging, so proper walking shoes are a good idea. We found a great little place selling freshly caught and dressed crab and lobster, so we took a crab home for supper. The cottage is perfect, the views are stunning and we felt relaxed the moment we arrived. Caroline has done a beautiful job with the decor, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. We will definitely be back!

  • Caroline was very welcoming. Her homemade bread and soup were the perfect welcome after our long drive. The cottage itself is beautiful and furnished nicely. The bed is just as comfy as it looks in the pictures. You lie in bed at night and literally don't hear a sound. It was bliss. The kitchen was well stocked and has everything we needed for dinner. Boscastle itself was not very far and great to explore. Caroline left us to our own devices but was always on had whenever we needed her or if we had any questions. Caroline's cottage was the perfect getaway from our hectic life in London. I would definitely recommend staying there.

  • The cottage was lovely, as nice as the pictures are. Caroline greeted us when we arrived and left some hummus, bread and olives. Showed us around and left us to it. It is a great location just a few minutes from Boscastle, and a short drive to Bude and Tintagel. The log burning fire made the room nice and cosy. The cottage has great views towards the coast. The bedroom was large and if had a comfy bed with quilt and warm blanket. The following day Caroline checked to see we were ok and that we were warm enough, she was friendly but not intrusive. She made us feel like if there's anything we needed we could ask whilst giving us the right amount of space. We hope to return next year.

  • We had a wonderful time in Boscastle. Cottage was lovely. Had everything we needed and enjoyed the wood fire at night. Of course we really appreciated it that Caroline ordered up the beautiful weather. The Cornwall coast is amazing and we enjoyed the coastal footpath with beautiful views. Highly recommend this cottage if you like peace and quiet. The welcoming soup and bread was wonderful.

  • The cottage was such a lovely place to spend the weekend. We cosied up in front of the log burner and enjoyed the amazing view! The cottage was beautiful inside and outside and we had everything we needed. Caroline and Tony were fantastic hosts and the homemade soup and bread were delicious. We will definitely go back and hope for better weather next time!

    Rachel2015-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • I booked the cottage as a getaway for my husbands birthday. We were not disappointed! It was easy to find and Caroline and her husband were there to greet us. Soup and bread had been left for us, as well as milk in the fridge which was a lovely touch. The cottage itself was bigger than I expected, with a cosy lounge and kitchen with plenty of utensils to cook with. The views over the North Cornwall coast are fantastic. The cottage has its own garden overlooking the sea and cliffs, which was a sun trap in the afternoon. Perfect to stretch out with a good book. The cottage is perfectly situated for plenty of walking, we hiked the cliff paths in both directions to take in some of stunning scenery. We will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

  • Charming cottage, log burner, very comfy bed. Great location 2 miles outside of Boscastle, secluded spot. Lovely views, very hospital host who left bread and soup for supper on our first night.

'Captain's Cabin' is a great base for exploring the incredible North Cornish coastline or relaxing on the decking with a good book and our homemade cream tea! You can walk across the meadows to Tintagel Castle, village pubs & cafes galore! Explore the lane up to National Trust land and the dramatic coastpath where you can head southwest for 3/4 of a mile to Trebarwith Strand or head in the other direction to Bossiney Beach, Rocky Valley & famous Boscastle Harbour.
Captain's Cabin is a unique and cosy hideaway set in the large garden of the main house. It is very comfortable with a good quality mattress on a king-sized bed & an en-suite with a large, hot shower and a walk in wardrobe. There is WIFI in the cabin, a new TV, a small fridge and tea making facilities. The Cabin has private use of the simple kitchen facilities (fridge, freezer, microwave, single hob etc) which are available in the separate barn. There is ample parking available at the main house & it is a level walk across the grass to the cabin.
Trevillick is a quiet, tucked away hamlet 1/2 a mile from Tintagel. Along with a stunning sea view in many directions, it is also surrounded by the most beautiful countryside and has direct access down a dusty (or muddy!) track to stunning National Trust land and footpaths in every direction! Tintagel is a small and friendly village which is famously linked to the legend of King Arthur. Don't forget to grab a pasty at Pengenna's! The most delicious and largest pasties known to man! Tintagel Castle and the beach is around a 1 mile walk from the cabin along the dramatic coastline. From here you can also walk to Trebarwith Strand, Bossiney Bay, Rocky Valley, Boscastle and beyond! There are also gorgeous places to visit in a car such as Port Isaac, the famous fishing village, which is a 20 minute drive and Wadebridge, a lively hub where you can hire bikes and cycle along the camel trail to Padstow, a snazzy fishing port.
  • What can we say: 10000% recommendation, so beautiful views, great place, comfy bed and the nicest welcome with cream tea that was so tasty! You can sit outside on the porch for breakfast or dinner and watch the sunset. Jon was very helpful and kind and gave us a lot of tips. You can start your walk on the coastal path right at your doorstep and have the most amazing views to the cliffs (even from the bed). We stayed for 3 nights and didn't want to leave. The area is beautiful for hiking and walking, great pubs, nothing to add, everything's perfect! Thank you again for everything!

  • We were traveling for the first time with our ten month old boy and we're a little nervous when finding somewhere to stay. This is a truly lovely place to holiday and is has been set up with a clear vision and attention to detail. Tintagel is a comfortable walk away (even with a baby in a papoose) and the coastal path is just breathtaking. There is use of a well-equipped kitchen with a table and sofa which is great but worth noting that it's a few meters from the cabin so could be an issue for some especially in bad weather. However, these things are also what makes it so charming as the green space around and the views to the sea, together with the king size bed and fabulous attention from the hosts makes for a brilliant stay. We'd definitely recommend it and would love to go back when we can.

    Nat2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't recommend highly enough. It was exactly what was described and the perfect get away. Jon and Maddy were everything you would hope for in a host and we will be recommending to friends for definite.

    Rosie2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The views were spectacular and Jon and Maddie were very welcoming. It was lovely to arrive to homemade scones and Jon gave us some great tips about the local area. It is a short walk to Tintagel and we particularly enjoyed the Malthouse pub. We definitely recommend a visit! Thanks again.

  • Perfect stay! Beautifully decorated private stay with a very warm welcome and great local tips. We absolutely loved the place and would highly recommend :)

  • We spent our honeymoon at the cosy cabin and it was such an amazing place to stay. We had probably some of the worst weather, however it made no difference ... the cabin is lovely and cosy, and we loved every minute that we spent there. The views are gorgeous, the bed is so comfy and all the extra little touches really made this an incredible place to stay. Jon and Maddy are lovely and so kind. We would definitely recommend Jon and Maddy’s place and we will definitely be back : )

    Katy2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We have just left the Cabin having spent 3 weeks there as an in-between home before going travelling. We have had the most wonderful stay! Jon & Maddy were the perfect hosts; kind, thoughtful, left us to our devices but were always so welcoming and chatty whenever we popped over with any questions. They are lovely and all correspondence with Fran beforehand was brilliant! The Cabin itself is perfect; cosy and tucked away, with sea views - we loved watching sunsets on the outdoor patio area and hearing the church bells just along the coastpath. The bed is the comfiest we have ever slept in, the bathroom is gorgeous with a huge shower and there's great storage space with a walk-in wardrobe. TV, table & chair, mini fridge and little lamps all help to make this Cabin so cosy. There is also a kitchen area just a short walk from the Cabin with a large fridge/freezer, hob, table & chair etc, which is really helpful for a longer stay. We cannot fault our stay at the Cabin, we only wished we didn't have to leave. Thank you Jon & Maddy for a wonderful time staying with you, we hope to see you again. Kate & Callum

This is our beautiful, modern home in the picturesque Cornish village of Tintagel, home to King Arthur's castle, Camelot, which you can see from the house. The property is well-equipped and is comfortably suitable for up to 6 people, yet cosy enough for 2. The accommodation includes: - large driveway for 2 vehicles - WIFI connection throughout - living room with sofas, flat-screen TV/DVD and solid-fuel stove - kitchen/utility with microwave, cooker, fridge-freezer, washer, drier, dishwasher - conservatory with dining table for 6 and sofa for catching those morning rays while reading the paper and drinking your coffee - downstairs double bedroom with TV and ensuite wet room, with good disabled access. - main bedroom with king size bed, TV & sea view - twin bedroom with single beds and a travel cot, if required - bathroom with shower over full size bath - small enclosed courtyard, with table and chairs Tintagel is a lovely North Cornwall village with several pubs, all within easy walking distance, child friendly & all serving food but really quiet as there is no real night-life. It is a haven for walkers and those who enjoy the "simple pleasures" of being outside in beautiful countryside. Tintagel Haven beach is a 5 minute walk away. You can also walk to the Coast Path in either direction for stunning views and clearing cobwebs, with no need to take the car. There are plenty of maps and information at the house on all manner of walks and attractions for all ages & interests. Tintagel is famous for the mythical home of King Arthur and the ruins of the castle are also a 5 minute walk away. We also have a lovely Old Post Office, which is now a English Heritage museum. Close by is Boscastle, a picturesque village and old fishing port and also home to the Museum of Witchcraft, and if the tide is right, the Blow Hole. In the other direction is Port Isaac, used as the fictional home of Port Wenn for the TV series Doc Martin Tintagel is within easy driving reach of all the other main Cornish attractions - Eden Project, Padstow, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Newquay and a number of other surfing beaches. There is a basic bus service, but you really need your own transport to make the most of your stay here. Sorry but no dogs or smoking allowed.
  • A beautiful house, with everything you would need. We travelled with 3 young children. The area is stunning with so much to do within walking distance, with plenty of helpful information to hand. The communication was excellent and catered for us arriving early after a long journey with the children. Couldn't fault anything and would highly recommend! We will definitely return. Thanks Wendy ☺

  • The property was exactly as described. Big living room / kitchen, bedroom and ensuite on the ground floor. Also very nice conservatory with dining table and room in the garden for additional dining options. Upstairs two more bedrooms (one double and another with two singles ) plus additional bathroom. Hardwood flooring throughout which is great for those with allergies. Location is excellent - only steps from the main high street with a great choice of pubs and coffee shops but very quiet and peaceful. Five stars.

  • Wendy was very helpful and understanding of our requirements for my wife and I, our son, his wife and our 2 year old grandson. She reponded to our communications promptly. The directions to her property were accurate, helpful and easy to follow. The description of the property was accurate. It was a pleasure to find the house exactly as it was described which was much appreciated after a long drive. It was so easy to move in and relax in preparation for our 3 day holday. The location was perfect, a few minutes walk to the town of Tintagel and easy driving distance to beaches and other nearby attractions. The laypout of the house was perfect for our extended family with separate bedrooms and bathrooms for my wife and I and our son and his family. The conservatory was a great place to relax and enjoy the mornings and evenings.

    Bill2014-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was absolutely perfect for us and our friends for a long weekend - immaculately clean and with the most comfy beds! Just a stones throw from the main street in Tintagel and the castle etc. it was everything you would hope for :)

    Hannah2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The House was perfect, great location, spotless, homely with everything you could want. Wendy was really responsive leading up to the stay and sent through all the information we needed a few weeks before. We had a great time and were really sad to leave.

  • Wendy wasn't around when we got there but she had prepared everything for us. She was also very helpful replying to our texts even late at night. She provided everything we needed to make sure we had a comfortable and nice stay. The house itself is lovely and in a great location in Tintagel.

  • My family and I had a wonderful week at Wendy's cottage in Tintagel! It is perfectly located very close to the village so it was easy for my in-laws to walk to the pubs, tea gardens and quaint little shops in the main street. It was also a short walk from the cliff lookouts which offer spectacular views of the coastline and sunsets. The coastal walking path was close by too.The cottage was very comfortable and we all (4 adults and 2 children) felt very much at home. It was great having 2 bathrooms and the conservatory was a wonderful haven where we spent much of our time when at home. The kitchen was very well equipped, as was the laundry. The wifi was fast and reliable. Communication with Wendy was excellent, she emailed us pages of information about the house as well as directions of how to get there and information on the surrounding area. The cottage was full of guide books and walking maps and other reading material. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, would definitely rebook Wendy's cottage if we visited again and highly recommend it to others.

    Clare2014-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Wendy for the use of your lovely house. The location couldn't have been better and your house had everything we needed. Recommending Tintagel to all my Irish friends!

  • We had a great couple of nights in the Longhouse. It has everything you need. The location is perfect with some great views and only a couple of minutes walk into the town centre. There are some nice walks in the surrounding area as well the castle to visit. Charlotte was a lovely host and was available for any questions we had. She also bought us some fresh breakfast from the local bakery! I highly recommend this accommodation to everyone.

  • Great little log cabin in a beautiful setting in the Cornish countryside. Ideally located for Boscastle, Tintagel and other pretty little cornish towns. We loved Ttebarwith Strand and the pub on the cliffs. Nicely settled down a private road just a short walk from St Nectans Glen. Really well equipped and finished to a high standard - Wes & Jeannie have thought about what guests may want and have catered very well. They were a lovely couple who were happy to help with any tourist advice or pointers on where to eat, visit etc. We took our 4 month old baby and he slept perfectly on his baby mattress on the floor. Would definitely go back and stay longer next time... thanks very much

Situated a short walk from Tintagel village our much loved family cottage is ideally located to explore Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove beaches and lots more. Perfect for a small family, a couple or someone needing a comfortable retreat.
A clean and cosy semi-detached cottage. There are oak floorboards throughout the open plan living area downstairs, which has a wood burner, a 37" flatscreen TV, Sky+HD, a Playstation 3, many kid's DVDs and a box of toys. The kitchen is well equipped with large dishwasher, gas hob/electric oven, large fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster. The washing machine is under the stairs. There is a tumble dryer in the garage, where you can also store bikes, wetsuits, surfboards etc. Upstairs there is a spacious bathroom with separate shower and big bath. Bedroom 1 is a cosy room with a super king sized bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom 2 is a good sized room with a single over double bunk bed. There is room for a travel cot, which we can provide if requested. There is a very well stocked children's bookcase and a dressing up box. The cottage has a small south facing garden with a sun trap seating area. Parking is off road in front of our garage.
We are on the B road coming from Camelford to Tintagel. It is a short walk into Tintagel village where there are many pubs, shops, a great deli and the Old Post Office. You can also visit the ruins of King Arthur's Castle. A 15 minute walk along a lane takes you to Saint Materiana's Church out on the cliffs and also joins you to the coastal path in both directions. The views are breathtaking. You can walk the coastal path to both Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove beaches, roughly 30 minutes, or 5 minutes in the car.
  • Fantastic place to stay. You have the peace and quiet but also have the advantage of being in a ten minute walk of tintagel. We felt very much at home in the cottage and the information about places to go and places to eat was invaluable. The Bostcastle Farmhouse cream teas were fantastic. Thanks again for a great stay!

  • We loved staying at Will and Bibo's place with our 2 year old daughter. The cottage is lovely, well decorated and maintained and very clean. (It still feels really homely though!). We had everything we needed for our stay, our daughter loved the selection of toys and books. Kitchen is well appointed and everything is easy to use. The cottage is in a great location to visit loads of different places and there's some great beaches nearby (Will and Bibo's tips were brilliant-would strongly recommend their suggestions). Although the house is next to a road we weren't disturbed at all and heard no noise. We thought the cottage was good value for money too. Communication was great with Will and Bibo-they were great hosts. Would highly recommend a stay here.

    Gail2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Lantern Cottage over a long weekend. The cottage itself is really homely and pretty - very spacious and bright for a cottage of that age. The lounge, dining and kitchen open plan areas were a particularly nice feature and we very much felt at home here. We cooked quite a lot and pretty much everything we could need was provided. Also to note is the amazing large and comfy sofa as well as a very comfy bed! We were close to the coastal path and walked to Tintagel castle and down to Bossiney Cove and made use of Bibo's recommendations for other things to do locally. Shops and restaurants were all walking distance too. Overall the area was perfect for us but on a school morning it felt less secluded due to being so close to the road and primary school. Over the weekend it was totally quiet and peaceful though. Communication with Will & Bibo was great and although we never actually met we were sent really clear information, a welcome pack and regular messages about getting in and arrival. We would definitely recommend staying here!

  • Spotlessly clean house in a great location if you're exploring north cornwall. Excellent communication and very responsive host. Perfect for families with small children.

  • Lovely little cottage! Our 2 year daughter loved all the books and dressing up box, and the cows right outside the window! Near enough to the coast for beautiful walks, especially Tintagel castel. Also 5/10min walk into the village where there are your usual touristy/gift shops and some nice pubs. We had some superb grub and hospitality in the Ye Olde Malthouse Inn one evening. Beautiful coastline and towns/villages to explore. We were out everyday, visited the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lappa Valley Steam Railway, Bude just to name a few. Thanks Will and Bibo for providing the perfect little retreat! :)

    Hannah2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The house has a very nice and personal touch. Everything was clean and very well prepared. The beds are excellent, very good to sleep and to relax. The explanations in the house book were very helpful and provided good hints for places to visit and to see. The neighbours are very friendly. The garden is small and close to the street which however isn´t a problem. It is a very lovely place for visiting Tintagel and the area.

    Iver2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was lovely. We had excellent communication with our hosts who were eager to help or make suggestions. The information they provided before hand was very helpful. The area itself is family friendly, quiet and scenic. There is lots to do in and around the area. Our little Ines especially enjoyed seeing the cows through the window every morning. Thank you!

    Melissa2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • My husband, 2 daughters (11 and 6 years old), and myself stayed at the Lantern Cottage for our duration in Cornwall. Walkable to the Tintagel Castle and town center of Tintagel, with the feeling of being in a secluded area. The girls loved having cows right outside their window. I really enjoyed the close access to the Coastal Pathway and took the loop from the church to the castle through the city, back to the cottage daily. Boscastle Farm Shop is a few miles away and great for a family meal and hiking. The home was perfect for our family of 4. The beds and bedding were really comfortable. My 6 year old enjoyed being able to use some of the boy's toys and books. The kitchen was stocked with all the cookery we needed. Really appreciated being able to use the laundry machine and dryer. The bathroom is really nice and there is a separate shower and bath tub, which is nice for smaller kids. There is also a clothesline that is helpful for hanging out towels from the beaches. My girls really liked using the piano. There is a TV with a large DVD selection, we did not use it but nice to know for a rainy day. Nice to be able to park right by home. We enjoyed the Tintagel Kitchen for breakfast and they make nice coffee drinks. Really friendly owners. Bibo was quick to respond via email. We did not really have to communicate that much, but when we did responded quickly.

  • We had a lovely time here. Gill was quick to get in touch once we made the booking and gave us all the info we needed to easily find the cottage. The cottage itself was clean, warm, well decorated, had fast enough Wi-fi to stream Netflix (~8Mbps), a very comfy bed, a powerful shower, and a kitchen with all the implements needed to cater for ourselves (including a corkscrew). We were even given some milk, tea, coffee, and cookies when we arrived which was a thoughtful touch. We will definitely be back!

  • This accommodation is a perfect little getaway, close enough to the village of Tintagel which is a short drive away, but also nestled amongst the country roads, giving peace and quiet. The hosts are superb and very caring towards their guests. The cottage was very clean and has everything anyone staying could possibly need. Internet and signal is also very good in this area. We loved the homemade cookies on arrival and the hosts made it very clear if we had any issues they would be happy to help. We highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a long weekend away in the beautiful Cornwall countryside!

Our lodge is a cosy getaway tucked in a small, scenic and quiet park. It's a short walk from Bossiney Bay, a wonderful cove that is dog-friendly all year round. It's also close to both Boscastle and Tintagel in North Cornwall. Offering a master bedroom with double bed and dressing table and a second room with two small single beds, this accommodation is perfect for a get-away-from-it-all break or a relaxed week or two. The lodge also has a hot tub.
Our lodge has the advantage of being at the edge of the park, meaning the decking and hot tub aren't overlooked and you have unrestricted views out over rolling countryside. There are lots of fantastic walks close by, including one which starts at the bottom of the park. It's completely dog-friendly and has all modern amenities.
Nearest amenities are in Tintagel, a mile from the lodge. You can walk there or there's plenty of parking. There are 2 small village stores, bakeries, restaurants and shops. If you want to go to a larger supermarket I'd recommend you do this en route there, as the nearest large supermarket is either in Bodmin or Launceston, both 20 miles away.

Little Acre, with it's uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean, is just 250 metres away from the coastal path and magnificent cliffs of North Cornwall, accessed by a track adjacent to the property. A 15 minute walk south with take you to the awe inspiring Trebarwith Strand, with it's lovely beach and the 'Port William Inn' standing on the cliff top. A 15 minute walk north will take you to Tintagel with it's quaint shops, cafes and more than our fair share of hostelries!!
As the name suggests, Little Acre sits on just under 1 acre of land (97% to be exact)! It is an open space enclosed by slate walls, and surrounded on 3 sides by farmland. We have three patio areas, BBQ's and a fire pit. Inside, a large living room with patio doors and a large kitchen with open plan dining, also with door leading to the patio. Upstairs are three bedrooms; one double with ensuite, plus another double and either king size bed or configured as 2 twin beds. These two rooms share a wonderful 'wet room' style bathroom. all three bedrooms, living room and kitchen/dining room have wonderful uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Little Acre is on the edge of Treknow, a village that was built in the 19thC to house slate quarry workers who worked on the cliffs. You will drive through the village if you wish to visit the Mill House Inn or Port William Inn by car. The neighbourhood is very quiet, with almost zero crime rate. My immediate neighbours are sheep and cattle and they have very few late night parties!
  • We had a lovely stay at Little Acre and Nicola was a really kind and accommodating host. She went out of her way to make us comfortable and have the best stay. The room and ensuite bathroom was a real pleasure to stay in, we also had a breathtaking view of the coast even though it rained most part of the weekend. The room and bathroom was very neat and clean. We would definitely recommend Nicola's place to stay for your next visit to Tintagel and the surrounding area!

  • Nicola is a kind and fun host. She responded promptly to my emails the week before our trip and answered all the questions that I had about our arrangements. We felt welcome in her home and she was always happy to give advice and suggestions about pubs close by and where and what we should go see. The room is spacious with a very comfortable bed and a stunning view of the sea from the bedroom window. The en suite bathroom is very modern and the house was always very quit and peaceful. We planned to go to Tintagel Castle and relax at the beach if the weather permits. Nicola's house is close to the coastal path which enabled us to walk to the castle while admiring the breathtaking views. Port William is also walking distance away and they serve wonderful food with a nice view of the sea and surrounding landscapes. We enjoyed our stay at Nicola's and would definitely recommend her as a pit stop to go explore the beautiful surroundings that is northern Cornwall.

  • Nicola is a very lovely, warm-hearted and wonderful host. She did everything for us, to feel welcome, was really uncomplicated in using her kitchen and living room. Our sleeping- and bathroom were liberally, clean, modern and lovely done up. The view was stunnig!! I can absolutely recommend Nicola in person and her accomondation. For us...we will come back!!!

  • Nicola is a wonderful host, she has been very kind, generous and attentive to all our needs. We had a room with an ensuite bathroom, the bed was super comfortable, the shower superb (best I ever experienced in England) and all the house warm ..during our summer stay the weather was quite windy and chilly during the night. Nicola made us feel at home and is also a great cook - on request she can make a delicious dinner even for vegetarians and vegans.

    Aleksandra2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Nicola's home was very special. There was lovely history at the place that resonated with me. I was blown away by the views and the incredible sunsets over the expansive horizon in the evenings. The views are just stunning and the energy is magical. I was in North Cornwall specifically to visit St. Nectan's Glen and Tintagel Castle which were close and easy to get to from Nicola's home. The coastal path is just a stone throw away. Nicola is a wonderful host.

A comfy, stone built 2 bedroom cottage with an open plan living space, in a quiet little hamlet in North Cornwall's designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is walking distance to the coastal path and the beautiful beach at Trebarwith Strand, and a 5 minute drive to Tintagel. The popular fishing villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac are short drives away. This area is less populated than most of the rest of Cornwall, so you will be able to find peace and quiet away from the crowds.
Open plan, comfortable downstairs living space, with a lounge, well equipped kitchen, dining area and sun room. In the lounge area there is a TV with integrated DVD player, a CD player and a selection of DVDs, books, walking guides and OS maps of the area. There is also a real log burner. Upstairs are two bedrooms (one double bed, and two single beds) with far reaching countryside and sea views, and a toilet and shower. The fully enclosed back garden is small but very pleasant on a sunny day. There is also a raised gravel garden next to the parking space, with good views of the surrounding countryside and the sea. Great for BBQs or just watching the sun go down with a glass of wine.
Trewarmett is a pleasant, quiet hamlet perfectly situated for access to the stunning coastal path and the beach at Trebarwith Strand, which are a 25 minute brisk walk away. The popular town of Tintagel is only 2 miles up the road and the very pretty fishing villages of Port Isaac (of "Doc Martin" fame) and Boscastle are 15 minutes drive to the South and the North respectively. Slightly further afield, Bodmin moor is only a 20 minute drive away, with wonderful walking over Rough Tor and Brown Willy (the highest point in Cornwall) being easily accessible. The beautiful beach running from Daymer Bay to Rock is only a 25 minute drive away, and the Rock ferry will quickly get you across the Camel estuary to the popular fishing port of Padstow and it's beaches. There are no pubs, shops or restaurants in Trewarmett, but the Port William pub in Trebarwith Strand, and the Mill Inn Restaurant between Trewarmett and Trebarwith Strand are not far.
  • We had excellent communications throughout, even a call from Erik on the evening we arrived to check all was well. The cottage was as described, well equipped, and although it was too chilly for us to use them, there are two lovely garden areas. We stayed for four nights, and explored the local area, Rock and Padstow, Boscastle and Tintagel, if our stay had been longer there was so much more to do. There was an excellent folder of guest information, plus OS maps and walk guides, all of which we used. If you plan to visit Trebarwith Strand, make sure you consult the tide times, having done so meant altering one day's plans, but it was well worth it, I saw my first star fish in the wild whilst rock scrambling. We also had the phone number of the caretaker, in case of any problems. There is good WiFi access.

    Sue2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Erik's place. It's a warm and cosy cottage near the coast of Tintagel/Cornwall. Unfortunately we didn't meet with Erik, but the communication between the host and us was great. Just be aware that your car isn't too big, because the road up to the parking space is veeery narrow. Fortunately we could park our car at a friend's house ;) GREAT HOST, GREAT COTTAGE, GREAT AREA ;)

  • We have spent an excellent few days at Jubilee Cottage. We found the cottage very clean and as per the written particulars. Lovely peaceful location within easy drive of some beutiful locations. Parking can be snug if the other cottage that shares the bay has visitors too but Eric pointed this out and we managed fine (with a mid size estate car). Eric was very responsive and helpful from our first enquiry to the end of our stay. Highly recommended.

    Paul2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • It is a deceptively large cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Parking a bit tight but that is the only negative to the property. Plenty hot water and fabulous log burner. Kitchen fully equipped with everything from washing machine to cafeteria. Would definitely recommend.

    Gail2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Eric's cottage. Really clean and pretty in a great location.

    Neil2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Erik's little cottage was a perfect place to stay in while we were exploring Cornwall. It was just as described and it was spacious, warm, clean, excellent value and a good base to explore (particularly northern Cornwall). The information packs were particularly helpful and provided us with some great ideas of what to do and see. We found it a little far to walk to the beach (especially through the mud when it has been raining) although can imagine it would be a lovely walk in warmer and dryer weather. The surrounding area was beautiful with a particular highlight being exploring Tintagel Castle and especially Merlin's cave at low tide. Would certainly recommend to others.

    Peter2017-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The accomodation was not only even better than the pictures showed, but it's proximity to the beach and other beautiful areas was a factor in our most satisfying vacation! The booklet of directions and information was accurate, clear and complete in helping us plan very enjoyable day trips. The garden was private and beautiful. We would definitely recommend staying in Jubilee Cottage.

    Elise2016-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Interesting cottage with period style. Everything we needed for our walking holiday was there, even local maps and guides. Clean and comfortable with plenty of room and a considerate host. Well situated and only a mile from the coast making easy access to Tintagel or more challenging to Port Isacs and Boscastle. Close parking but tight if you need it.

  • This is a great place to stay. Its location to reach the joys of the North Cornish coast is excellent. There is a lovely walk (probably muddy most of the time) across fields to your own cove, Trebarwith Strand; easy access to some outstanding parts of the South West Coast Path; two fine pubs within walking distance (the Mill House closer, smaller, very friendly); Tintagel is walkable, so avoiding the traffic and carparks; and lots of other places within easy reach by car. The house has space and is cosy, however inclement the weather outside is (very inclement during our visit) so is a perfect base. Highly recommended.

  • This week in Treknow, Cornwall, provided us with many great memories and sensations. The amazing views, the beautiful beaches beneath fearsome cliffs, so much sun at times we though we were in Italy, great walks on the coastal path ways, friendly folks everywhere, and the food... Liz's house was super comfy and furnished with taste and character. We can't think of anything that could have been better. Thank you Liz!

  • Just back from a wonderful week in Cornwall. Liz's house was just as described and was perfect for our large family of 5 children. Favourites were the fully equipped kitchen and the location. 5 mins walk to the pub and 15 mins walk to the beach. The were many fabulous coastal walks, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The town of Tintagel with its magnificent castle ruins was a must also. Despite Storm Frank it didn't put us off and we had a great holiday, mostly because the house was so homely and pleasure to come home to after a wet and windy walk. Would highly recommend, thanks again Liz for letting us stay in your house.

  • The cottage was beautiful! A great location, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need. Perfect place for a family or two couples to rent for a great time exploring the north Coast of Cornwall. There were loads of board games and jigsaw puzzles in the cupboard, books to read and all kinds of entertainment so we were never bored. Not to mention the table tennis in the garden. Beautiful views with the sea sprawling on the horizon, sunsets and sunrises were amazing. We went out and picked blackberries from the hedgerows and baked a crumble. The ideal place to stay in such a beautiful part of the country. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

  • We at the best time at Varley! It was massive! It had everything you needed and more. It was just a short walk to the centre of Tintagel and was just the perfect cottage for a getaway to Cornwall. We will definitely be going back soon!! Not to mention, James made us feel very welcome!

  • Valley Cottage was very nicely situated with lovely views -- very well appointed-- couldn't have been happier. Communication was excellent; ample instructions etc.

  • A lovely place to explore Cornwall. Had a lovely relaxing stay here. The cottage did have a slightly robust feel when we first arrived. However it had everything that was required and was cosy and relaxing. The garden is a real high-light and the views whilst BBQ are stunning and took my breath away every time i looked up from my sausages!

  • I've just returned after a lovely stay at the cottage in Tintagel . It was a lovely setting as I needed an escape to rest and think after a career change . The cottage was very comfortable for me travelling alone and spacious a plenty when my friend arrived with her little dog . I loved the garden and the sun drenched deck with a very calming and peaceful view . A perfect spot to venture out exploring other areas . I particularly liked Port Isaac , Boscastle , Trebarwith a nearby areas to explore . James the host was available if needed and checked in to make sure all was to plan . I imagine if would be a great house also for families as evidenced by the other reviews . Would definitely go back !

  • Had an excellent week at Varley, despite the weather (which James, our host, apologised for!). An ideal location with great views, only 10 minutes walk to Tintagel and also to the stunning coastal path. The cottage is very child/baby friendly with fitted stairgates, etc. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could wish for. A highlight was the heated outdoor shower. We hope to return one day and make more use of the garden and bbq, instead of the central heating!

    John2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent, informative and accurate instruction - sent twice after I lost the first lot !! A lovely area to visit. We could have easily spent the entire week just in the area around Tintagel. The cottage was superbly equipped; meals on the deck, table tennis tournament while waiting for the BBQ coals to go grey. We cooked for ourselves and ate out at the various, wonderful local restaurants, on alternate nights. Cooking was no problem at all in a large well equipped kitchen, with dishwasher if we felt lazy - we didn't. Weather was absolutely glorious but if Cornwall had provided storms and rain, which it is apparently capable of, the washing machine would have been much appreciated as would the efficient central heating. This was our first visit to Cornwall but I doubt it will be our last and we would be more than happy to return to Varley.

The Smithy (AA 4* rated) is close to Tintagel and the sandy beach at Trebarwith Strand. Both are within walking distance with great views via a stile in the driveway. There are pubs, restaurants and shops in Tintagel along with the historic castle. Port Isaac, Boscastle, Bude, Padstow and Bodmin Moor are only a short drive away You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the location, and the views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets)
The Smithy is part of an old Cornish farmhouse and is bigger than it looks. It has one double bedroom with views to the sea, a newly updated family bathroom with large shower, a fully equipped galley fitted kitchen, and a lounge/dining room with a quality double sofabed. There is off road parking and a fully enclosed private garden with table and chairs and a BBQ. A laundry room is available with a washing machine and tumble dryer for a donation. December 2017 - the bathroom and kitchen were completely replaced and updated, and December 2016 - The lounge and dining room had a makeover giving them a contemporary style but still a very cosy cottage.
A stile leads from the drive across a couple of fields to the South West Coast path at the cliff top. Trebarwith Strand beach and Tintagel are both accessible by a short walk.
  • A well located place to stay at Tintagle! Amazing view out of the bedroom, very quiet located sorrounded by sheep, still walkable into town with nice pubs. There is a lot to do in the area, stunning cost paths and so on... Nicola is a very friendly and helpful with explaining anything. I can definitely recommend staying at Beaver Cottage!

    Alex2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great house with closed garden and quiet garden. Everything provided even laundry machines. Great access to tintagel even by walking. The house is really clean, secure for babies. I would definitely recommend for a family. Thank you!

    Hélène2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • I hope we get to visit again some day! The area was so beautiful and the cozy cottage was just wonderful. I can still hear the sweet sounds of the sheep and the howling wind all around.

  • Great wee house, warm, cozy and with everything we needed. Very happy with our stay here. Great location, easy drive to many great places. Walks right outside the house. Host friendly and welcoming on arrival.

  • Nicola & Steve were great hosts, very friendly & helpful without being intrusive. The cottage had everything we needed & was in a perfect location, walking distance from Trebarwith Strand & Tintagel with beautiful scenery. We really enjoyed our stay & would highly recommend.

    Ellen2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nicola and Steve made us and our three dogs feel most welcome and we were so lucky with the wonderful weather to explore all the local beautiful areas

    Sally2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Steve is a very welcoming person and has provided some good recommendations during our stay. The house has all amenities needed and Nicola and Steve were extremely kind as they asked beforehand if we would need a highchair for our toddler. Steve made a good effort to make sure we had everything we needed and the tea, coffee and milk were a nice gesture.

  • The Smithy is a beautiful little cottage. We loved our holiday there and highly recommend it to other guests! Everything is small, so I am not sure how it works out for more than two people but it is perfect for couples. The seaview from the bedroom is amazing and the cliffs are only a short walk across the fields. The kitchen is tiny but very well equipped. The only slight problem may arise when the electricity runs out as this is bound to happen at the most exciting moment of a film or when you are standing under the (electric) shower...:-) However, the best thing about this cottage is its location! It is truely breathtaking!! The cliffs in this part of Cornwall are high and rough, the villages beautiful and other tourists mostly elsewhere:-)

  • Jenny and the accommodation in Bossiney Bay were both wonderful! Gorgeous space, gorgeous views and we really enjoyed our time there! Holidaying in the UK is fairly new to us so I was a little anxious re accommodation etc but the lodge was beautifully clean, stylish and Jenny was so helpful! Will definitely be returning!! Thank you!

  • Beautiful location. If it's peace and quiet you are looking for, this is the place for you. Loads to see and do in the vicinity. Our dog was quite worn out by the end of our stay! Modern, well equipped lodge with everything you need for a wonderful getaway. Thankyou Jenny

  • We had a great stay at Bossiney Bay. The cabin was cosy and had everything you needed for a self catering break. Close to scenic walks & a great beach which is dog friendly. It allowed us to explore what we wanted to. If going outside of holiday season be prepared to find a lot of the cafes and restaurants closed or with shorter opening hours. Other than that it was great.

    Ruth2017-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing place to stay. Four of us stayed and had a great time. Bossiney Cove is stunning and, if you get the chance, try to do the Rocky Valley walk which starts almost from the mobile home itself. The whole coastline is as picturesque as anywhere else in the UK and Jenny's place has everything you could ask for. The WiFi is fine for those who worry about such things and Jenny's communication is first rate. Nothing was too much. Overall a fantastic experience throughout

  • Great cabin in a holiday park-style complex. Perfect location to explore Tintagel and surrounds.

  • Great communication with Jenny to book the chalet for the weekend. Check in was simple and the chalet spotless. Very comfortable with lovely homely touches. The dog was more than happy to roam around the decking. The view from the living room was beautiful, rolling hills with cattle. The holiday park itself is nice and quiet and spotless. Great weekend was had by all.

Sunnyside is a lovely traditional stone cottage in North Cornwall next to the beautiful coastal path and close to a fantastic surfing beach. Within walking distance of Tintagel Castle and two fantastic Cornish pubs, plus conveniently located for many tourist attractions. The cottage has four bedrooms, a large eat-in kitchen , a garden and outside terrace with table and seating, a cosy sitting room with a wood burning stove, a games room with table-football and parking for three cars.
This lovely traditional cottage is in the centre of a quiet and friendly village and is within walking distance of the beautiful Trebarwith Strand beach. Fully modernised 8 years ago and lovingly maintained, the cottage provides a peaceful haven and perfect base for enjoying the outdoor pleasures of Cornwall and it's many attractions. The cottage has central heating, a woodturning stove, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher and, most importantly, a football table. High quality bedding and towels are included. We also have body boards and beach equipment at the cottage.
Useful Information: Tintagel 5 minute drive There is a chemist, Londis, post-office, cashpoint, doctors surgery, some useful shops and an excellent Fish & Chippie. Turn left onto the B3263 and continue for a few minutes into Tintagel. At the small roundabout, turn left for the chemist and the old post office (a tourist attraction). Turn right for the Londis, Fish & Chippie, post-office, cashpoint (inside Londis), surgery (opposite the post office) and tourist information center. There is a large Tesco outside Wadebridge. Turn right onto the B3263 and at the end turn left towards Camelford. At the crossroads, turn right towards Camelford & Wadebridge onto the B3266. Pass through Camelford and at the T-junction, turn right onto the A39. Continue on this road for around 15 minutes. At the large roundabout before Wadebridge, take the Wadebridge bypass (3rd exit), signposted A39 Truro and Newquay. Cross over the bridge and turn left after the petrol station. The Beach 20 minute walk The best way to Trebarwith Strand is by foot. Turn right out of Sunnyside and left through the gate into the fields, following the path downwards. This will take you over a few stiles, along a stream, past some rabbits, through a carpark and down the winding road to the beach. Check the tidal times because there is no beach unless it’s low tide. If it’s high-tide, the Port William is a great pub with fantastic views of the crashing waves below. A less strenuous but longer walk back is via the road. Continue past the car-parks until you reach a crossroads. Turn left down the winding road past the Mill House. You are roughly half-way home and this is an excellent place to stop for a pint and/or food. Continue along this road which curves steeply upwards and takes you back into the village. You’ll pass the parking for Sunnyside on your left. Places to eat The Millhouse (on the road towards Trebarwith), The Port William (by the beach), Uncle Jack’s Fish and Chips (Tintagel), Wyldes Café (Tintagel). The Mowhay near Daymer Bay serves excellent food in an informal art gallery. Padstow has an international reputation for excellent restaurants.
  • We, two families of four, had a great time at Sunnyside cottage. For a week, the cottage was our home away from home and served as a wonderful base from which we could explore the beautiful scenery of the region. The house, while not big, has a smart setup making best use of the available space. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms have good beds. There was plenty - almost too much, in fact ;-) - for the kids to do and the garden allowed us to enjoy the precious moments of sunshine. We'd highly recommend this cottage top anyone looking for a great value accommodation in a fantastic region.

    Vincent2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at Tanya's cottage. It is in a great location and is very well equipped. The cottage was perfect for 2 families of 3 to enjoy their holiday and we highly recommend a stay there.

    Tom2016-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great week here in early September. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless with wet and windy coastal walks and our 18 month old still enjoyed splashing on the fantastic local beach in his wellies! The house has everything you might need for a family week away, and lots to see and do in the local area. The house is down a steep and narrow road, with parking at the top so we did have to make a few journeys loading/unloading but its typical of the Cornish roads and the Tesco delivery man wasn't phased at all! Thanks for opening up your beautiful home to us Tanya! x

    Lauren2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay. We are a family with young children and found everything we needed was at the cottage. There are a few books and toys in the bunk bed room and table football too. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was communicated. It now also has the internet. The best thing for us was it's location to the beach. Our children loved the walk there (it's very quick) and there's plenty of sand, rock pools, surf and a cave to explore. We also enjoyed a drink at the pub over looking the beach. With plenty to do in the local area it's a part of Cornwall we would return to.

    Gemma2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay. The local beach is only about a 15 minute stroll from the cottage and is a delight. We went to Newquay a couple of times during our stay - only about an hour's drive away. We have a small dog who probably enjoyed the trip more than us - the back garden is secure so she can run/sniff to her hearts content, and the nearby beach is also dog-friendly. There is no mobile reception at the cottage, but the internet works fine. Overall, I can thoroughly recommend a stay there. There are lots of very narrow single track roads around Treknow - it took me a few days to get used to negotiating them without having palpitations.

    cliff2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • It was a beautiful location to spend New Year. A homely cottage with a lovely family feel. Tanya kindly sent us plenty of info before & called to check we'd arrived ok. Perfect walking distance to the beach. Nice neighbours too!

    Hannah2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay near a beautiful beach and coastal paths. Tanya's cottage is well equipped with everything needed for a perfect stay. Navigating the winding narrow roads can be a bit tricky. Would recommend to anyone who likes peace and quiet.

This characterful Cornish bothy, decked with surfboards and dripping in beach chic, offers stunning sunset views across the Atlantic. A light and airy common area has bay doors that open onto a patio sun-trap where you can enjoy a sundowner or three after a day of surf, sand and cliff walks. It's a perfect coastal bolthole for a romantic getaway or as a base for young families to explore the cliffs, coves and castles of North Cornwall.
Perfect for young (or young at heart) couples or young families, this cosy self-contained annex is small but packed with charm. An airy, light filled common area boasts an ingenious locally made dining table that can fold away according to your need, and a kitchenette provides basic amenities. If you fall victim to one too many pints of Doom Bar or Rattler, the sofa pulls out into a double bed in the common area. The penthouse option, however, is to embrace your inner child and climb the boat ladder into the rafters, amid the surfboards, where you will find a double bed mattress ready for you on the mezzanine floor. Opposite your nighttime eyrie a porthole window allows you to drift to sleep with the lights of Port Isaac twinkling from across the bay. In the morning you can take your breakfast al fresco on the patio with the bay door open to let the sea air fill your lungs. You can't beat the super cosy, beach hut vibes and panoramic views of the Tintagel coastline. The smell of surf board wax playfully teasing your nostrils at night is a real master stroke. In fact, our two overgrown children and their ever expanding families love staying in the Shack so much that they keep coming back down to stay - and they seem to expect feeding! So please book in and give us an excuse to turn our vulture-like offspring away so we can live our golden years in peace.
The tiny hamlet of Tregatta is nestled amid an area of outstanding natural beauty which clings to some of the most rugged and awe inspiring cliffs in Cornwall. If you cross a neighbouring field you will find yourselves on a cliff path that, if you turn left you end up on Trebarwith Strand beach within 15 minutes; a surfing mecca and set for numerous famous films. If you turn right and take a twenty minute ramble you'll discover a tangle of ruins perched precariously on a wind-battered rock. These ancient bricks have inspired folklore, legend and even a symphony. It is Tintagel Castle; an English Heritage site linked to the ancient Kings of Dumnonia, Tristan and Isolde and King Arthur’s conception. Within short driving distance are nationally acclaimed restaurants, world class seafood and award winning farm shops, not to mention the idyllic Cornish villages of Boscastle, Port Isaac and Padstow. If you fell in love with the set of the BBC's Poldark you'll fall in love with our corner of Cornwall; although Grayburn scything grass topless leaves much to be desired compared to Aidan Turner.
  • Great space, very clean with everything you could need for a few days away. Grayburn and Jo were very helpful and friendly. P.s thanks for the lift to the pub!

    Sam 2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Grayburn and Joanna went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed in their special home. Everything was as pictured, if not better, and they were constantly ready with tips, tricks, recommendations and extras to make our stay feel that little bit more special. Such a warm welcome before a perfect stay meant we've already promised to be back in Summer and we're counting down the days already.

    Mitch2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this place! Bigger than it looks in the photos with everything you need for a weekend away (or longer). Breakfast was especially welcome and made a nice change from other air b&bs.

    Louise2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beware people. This is not a nice place to stay unless your intentions are solely to sleep in it after a day of surfing. Even so, there are other options for much better value. It's clean and the hosts did try to make it homely but weren't successful. It's got very little privacy as you're literally next to their house and they can look into the shed if you don't have all your curtains drawn. The wifi didn't work on any of our devices (mobile, tablets, laptop) and the kitchenette only has a microwave and sink. Im really glad that we ended up staying in a much better accommodation not far away (which also happened to be cheaper and in a much better location). If you're claustrophobic in any way, this is not the place for you. The ventilation is minimal and you can't sit up properly on the bed due to a really low ceiling. I must also note that they use part of the shack as their storage and keep their own food in the fridge.. The hosts refused to refund us the booking fees for both days even though me and my partner left right after the check in. Very disappointed guys.

    Denise2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Surf Shack is ace! Small, compact and bijou, but just perfect for a romantic weekend getaway. Thanks to Storm Brian we couldn't use any of the outdoor space, but it's right next to the South West Coast Path so we walked (carefully!) to Trebarwith Strand and back. easily. The Shack is properly private, but if we'd needed anything, Grayburn & Jo would have helped us out. If we had been staying longer, a hob would have been good, but for a weekend break it was just perfect as it was. And the bottle of fizz on arrival was just lovely :)

    Jennifer2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the surf shack. The rooms were beautiful furnished and very cosy and we loved the landscape. Within 5 minutes we were am the coast path and had a beautiful view on the sea.

Shutta Park is a converted barn full of home from home touches having been the owner's home until 2008. We are open all the year so enjoy the beaches, walking, cycling and many more activities. In the winter months come back to the house and enjoy the warmth of the wood burner. There is a garden and ample off road private parking.
Shutta Park sleeps 4 people plus we have a cot for a baby, high chair and stair gate. There is a utility room with separate toilet, washing machine and small freezer together with ample room for coats, boots etc. The boiler is also in the utility room which provides the heating and hot water. The utility room is accessed from the outside parking spaces and you can then access the main house via stairs from the utility room. This takes you up to the lounge/dining room where you will find 2 leather sofas and a comfortable seating area. There is a dining room table and chairs together with large pine dresser, display cabinet, television and unit with TV and DVD player. From this area you enter the kitchen which is very well equipped with electric cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher etc. From the kitchen you will enter a large entrance hall with bookcase full of books, maps and useful information, walks etc. There are stable doors out from the hall onto the patio area. There is a large bathroom with bath and shower over, toilet and vanity unit. There is a large double bedroom with oak bed, blanket box, wardrobe, dressing table, bedside tables and chest of draws. The twin room has 2 oak single beds, oak bedside unit, dressing table and fitted wardrobes and plenty of room. Shutta Park has full central heating and wood and coal are supplied should you require the use of the wood burning stove. Outside is a patio area with bench and seating and from the drive you will find the garden with summerhouse which has an additional fridge, BBQ and seating. There is also a clothes line available. There is a lock up garage where bikes, wet suits etc can be stored. All bed linen and towels provided. Tea towels, dish clothes and all washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets etc all left to make your stay as easy as possible. We ask that you please bring your own beach towels but if you are travelling from abroad we can provide towels for the beach. Electricity is included.
Treknow is a quiet hamlet just above the beach at Trebarwith. During the summer months we have the most amazing sunsets some evenings and it is a must to BBQ outside the summerhouse and watch the sunsets go down and enjoy a glass of bubbly, the local ales of perhaps some Cornish cider (or all if you wish!) If time permits I am happy to make guests a Cornish pasty from local ingredients or perhaps a Cornish cream tea.
  • Julie met us when we arrived, and introduced us to her lovely barn. It was an easy walk to Tintagel and the dramatic Cornish coast. It was a wonderful stay and we had access to everything we needed.

  • We had a great stay at Julie's cottage, it was very comfortable, lovely beds, well equipped and cozy for a winter stay as well as a summer one. We loved having a cake and milk for us when we arrived and found the location perfect for beach walks and tintagel, both within easy reach. We'll be back!!

  • We had a wonderful time in Trebarwith! Julie left us cookies and candy. The place was very clean and comfortable. My kids loved the location. We liked hiking to the beach. We also had a great time at nearby Tintagel. Very charming!!

  • What a great place to stay in such wonderful surroundings! We love this area and it was great to find such comfortable and cosy accommodation. Julie and Clive were great hosts, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The banana muffins were particularly delicious! We hope to return soon. Libby, Alex, Matilda and Noah.

  • Julie was a fantastic host, we really enjoyed our stay, a beautiful little home in an amazing part the country so many beautiful beaches Julie made us feel very welcome we even had a delicious cake waiting for us on arrival!

    Chantal2017-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a lovely place in a great location. Julie is an extremely friendly host and gave us advice on the best places to eat. The place was super clean and Julie had bought milk and coffee prior to our visit. As well as making us some of the tastiest cakes i've ever tasted. The home is just a 10 minute walk from the beach and a couple of minutes drive from Tintagel. We'd 100% go back here!

    Joel2016-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • I wish we had more time to stay in Julie and Clive's lovely house. Warmth, scones with clotted cream and homemade jam, and the most comfortable bed I think I have slept in all contributed to a great stay. We loved the coastal walk recommended to us and all in all had a wonderful time

    Janet2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Shutta Park. Julie was a most helpful host, offering suggestions of walks and places to visit and eat. She even baked us a delicious cake as I had mentioned we were coming down to celebrate a family member's birthday. The barn itself is spotless and provided most comfortable and cosy accommodation for our family of four. Thank you.

Mill Cottage is a delightful, cosy 3 bedroom cottage with character and lots of charm, in a quiet location in the beautiful north Cornwall countryside. Mill Cottage is a 200 year old stone built barn conversion that has been tastefully renovated and refurbished and yet has retained its character. With 3 bedrooms, it comfortably sleeps 6 - perfect for families, couples or friends! There is also space for a travel cot in the double and one of the twin rooms.
Situated 1.5 miles from the stunning Bossiney Haven beach and coastal path, Mill Cottage is in an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" and is the perfect place to spend a peaceful and relaxed holiday.  The hamlet of Trevillet feels deep in the countryside with stunning sea views over unspoilt rolling countryside, but is actually only 2 miles from the popular town of Tintagel with all its shops and restaurants. Here you will find the castle, the coastal path, Cornwall’s highest waterfall, beautiful woodlands and some of the finest sandy beaches only a beautiful stroll or 5 minute drive away. The cottage is equipped with everything you need to have a comfortable stay - whether you want to fully self-cater, or whether you'd prefer to take advantage of the many local restautrants, cafes and pubs. The enclosed garden provides seating and space to sit, relax, and listen to birdsong and breathe in the sea air.  With no through traffic to the hamlet, Trevillett is quiet enough for your children to explore the lanes and public footpaths right on the doorstep.  At night the display of stars is breathtaking, as is the sea view from the end of the lane.
Mill Cottage is in Trevillett, a beautiful little hamlet near Tintagel. The perfect spot for a getaway!
  • Beautiful house and location.

    Simone2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely cottage. Really well equipped. We found it really relaxing. The location was really peaceful and relaxing. Then in the car 5 minutes drive and surrounded by amenities. The accommodation was really spacious for a cottage. It was lovely and private. The owners have made provision for everything you could need. Only tip I could suggest is take a torch for any evening wanderings. The directions provided were spot on. Sat Nav is great but sometimes you need some old fashioned direction, and that was crucial specially at the end!

    Dawn2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • If you like to get away from the maddening crowd this cottage is a rustic treat. Outside of Tintagel so no noise or disturbances in a lovely small stone cottage which was perfectly sized for three of us. The neighbours were very friendly and it has other cottages in close proximity so you don't feel isolated. The weather was dreadful on the whole, so we were happy there was a DVD player and plenty of games in the cupboard! The owners were very accommodating & responsive for checkin and checkout although we didn't meet them.

Our cottage is a 200 year-old two-storey semi-detached house surrounded by open fields with beautiful views towards the sea and direct access to the footpath to the beach at Trebarwith Strand. Over the years we've carefully restored the cottage to produce a calm, restful retreat (and a second home for us).
The cottage has immediate access to the surfing beach at Trebarwith Strand; it's an easy 10-minute walk down the marked footpath. It's warm and cosy in all Cornish weathers with effective heating (if you need it, it's free), with the main windows double-glazed. In addition there’s a welcoming open fireplace you can get going (wood and coal available locally). The kitchen has all the equipment you need. There's a fridge with frozen food compartment and a microwave for quick meals. You'll also find a toaster, coffee maker, sandwich toaster and plenty of cooking equipment, china and glasses. There's a large pine dining table that sits 6 people. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms one with a comfortable double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe space, bedside tables and lights. The second bedroom has two single beds again with bedside tables, lights, a chest of drawers and a hanging space. This room has a cupboard containing the hot water tank (no charge for hot water). The bathroom has a bath with a shower over the bath+glass screen, a toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail. There's an outside toilet with a washbasin and shaver point. Outside the front door is a small grassy area and washing line, adjacent to the beach footpath.
Because our cottage is on the edge of the village next to a single-track rural lane, the atmosphere is complete peace and quiet. All you'll hear is the birds and the sheep bleating when they're in the field next to the cottage.
  • The cottage is by Trebarwith strand, a gorgeous beach with a lovely pub for sundowners above it, as well as a surf shop, gallery, ice cream parlour and cafe. It's ideally located around 30 minutes from padstow / rock, and polzeath, and close to port Isaac and tintagel. We visited the whole of Cornwall from there. The cottage itself is clean, warm and simple, with lovely views over fields of sheep and down to the sea which is about a 10 minute walk. It has a washer/dryer which is handy for sandy clothes. We stayed with our 1 and 4 year olds who loved splashing in the sea in Trebarwith. David the owner was very helpful and everything was as described. We will be back!

    Sara2017-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in Rose Cottage. It is as described and in a lovely location; you can walk to the beach, up onto the cliffs and to the pub. And David was a great host.

  • My Family and I stayed for three nights. The cottage was clean and tidy, well equipped, comfortable beds and beautiful views. Would stay again.

  • Lovely cosy cottage with great little open fire place, in really good location for exploring the Atlantic coastline - Trebarwith Strand is a great place to walk down to with some lovely walks along the cliffs and the local pubs are really good too. Also the fudge shop in Tintagel (Granny Wobbly's) is the best fudge in Cornwall! We had a great stay

The Lodge (previously Main Cottage), AA 4* rated, is close to Tintagel and the sandy beach at Trebarwith Strand. Both are within walking distance with fantastic views. There are pubs, shops and restaurants in Tintagel along with the historic castle. Port Isaac, Boscastle, Bude, Padstow and Bodmin Moor are only a short drive away. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the location, the views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
The Lodge is part of an old Cornish Farmhouse. It has a double bedroom with en-suite and shower, a twin/superking room with en-suite, a family bathroom newly renovated in Jan 2018, dining room with original slate floor, living room and fully fitted kitchen. There is off road parking and a private dog friendly garden. A laundry room is available with washing machine and tumble dryer for a donation.
A stile leads from the drive across a couple of fields to the coast path at the cliff top. Trebarwith Strand beach and Tintagel are both accessible by a short walk.
  • Beautiful location close to Tintagel, cottage very comfortable and well equipped. I hope to visit again! Thank you Nicola

  • Nicola gave us a warm welcome and the cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Great location close to Tintagel and the coast path.

    Carole2016-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Nicola' cottage is the perfect place to stay whether you're travelling with your family or just your partner/friend(s). He has a very well equipped kitchen, and a nice selection of movies/games to play. The rooms all had sinks and decently sized wardrobes. The cottage is located about a 10 minute walk from Tintagel Castle and Merlin's cave. The views are amazing and there's lots of public footpaths to take. The only downsides are the water pressure in the showers is not that great and the wifi is not very fast, however they're not deal breakers.

    Gloria2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • We were made to feel very welcome. And shown where everything was. Cottage was very accessible to the footpaths also for tintagel. We ate in the milhouse pub very good food and friendly. Very quiet and homely place. Will recommend to friends and hope Nicola and Steve do well with their new venture. Thanks for a lovely stay.

  • Nicola and Steve are great hosts quick to respond and Steve shared helpful information about walks and local points of interest. The accommodation was clean and comfy, old school style. As stated upgrade happening soon. I was worried about the road being so close but nothing to worry about very quiet. Lovely people place and area would recommend to all.

    Bossiney, United Kingdom

Delightful 17th Century single story barn conversion conveniently situated between Tintagel and Boscastle. Lovely sea views. Close to Coast Path, Bossiney beach and just above magical St. Nectan's Glen and Rocky Valley. Very peaceful, with small private garden with shared larger space. Perfect for a relaxing Cornish break at any time of year. Unusually light and airy, but cosy and snug in the winter.
The Granary has bags of character, with old beams, sloping 3 foot deep walls and a unique carriage front doorway. Although it is called "The Granary', of course it is unlikely that grain would have been kept at this level. Given the obvious original entrances, it was more likely to have served as a carriage or machinery store. It is built of local granite and slate and there is one exposed slate wall in the living room and a roof of graduating sized local slates under a green oak frame. As this is my home-from-home and not a commercial holiday let I have tried to use the best quality furniture, bedding and equipment that I can and I am sure that you will appreciate that. This is a little house that somehow seems more spacious than it is, as it is well-planned. The living room is open plan, with a modern kitchen area, large leather sofa and wooden dining table and chairs, plus cosy woodburner. There is a large purpose-built cupboard in the lobby in between the living room and bedroom, with ample hanging space plus storage for ironing board, hoover, outside furniture and other essentials. The bedroom has a kingsize bed with comfy mattress, down duvet and quality bedding. There is a large chest of drawers and two bedside drawer units. There is plenty of room next to the bed for a cot. There is a very efficient shower room between the living room and bedroom. Please note that there is no washing machine or dishwasher. There just isn't the room.
The Granary is in the tiny hamlet of Halgabron (in old Cornish meaning the valley of the black crow). There are a handful of cottages and a working farm. It has a unique position looking down on the sea above the historic Rocky Valley and with the magical St Nectan's Glen just at the bottom of the garden, so you have the best of Cornwall within a very short walking distance - the majestic cliffs and the Coast Path and arguably the most beautiful sheltered river valley in Cornwall. The village of Tintagel, famous as the birthplace of King Arthur (which has recently become more likely) is 1.5 miles away and the historic and picturesque trading port and harbour of Boscastle, sadly famous for the devastating flood in 2004, 2.5 miles away. Both have well-informed visitors' centres and a small range of local shops, plus cafes, pubs, cash machines and giftie shops. The nearest petrol stations are in Boscastle, Delabole (5 miles) and Camelford (6 miles). Please do try to but locally if you can, rather than a trip to a big supermarket. You will find a good range of products between the little local shops and the farm shops and although it might cost a few pennies more, visitor support keeps these businesses open for all. If you can't resist - Waitrose now deliver to this area .....
  • We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Rosie's beautiful and remote cottage, we didn't want to leave! With stunning views over the sea, a wonderful waterfall at the bottom of the valley and THE MOST comfortable bed ever, what can I say but just magical! We were sad that the weather was rather grey but it gave us good reason to stay in at the cottage in the evening and sit by the fire, just lovely. Highly recommend the granary!

  • The Granary is a lovely, compact cottage in a wonderful location. It is perfect for exploring St Nectan's Glen (you can hear the waterfalls from the car park), Tintagel, Bostcastle and the surrounding areas. The kitchen is remarkably well equipped for such a small place, and Rosie was full of good, local suggestions and tips for walks, places to eat and more. (I may well be back to explore the area further.)

    Rashmir2017-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Immediate communication from the moment I booked the trip. Provided regular updates. Very informative from the get go. Rosie has an excellent property in a lovely environment that was perfect for us and the dogs. Would definitely recommend to others :)

  • Rosie's cottage is ideally located to explore the coast path and its spectacular shoreline as well as the lovely St. Nectan's Glen. My wife and I enjoyed the view out to sea from the pretty garden after some invigorating walks along the coast. Rosie's information was clear and accurate and, despite not being there, she responded very promptly to our questions. I would certainly recommend a stay in this beautifully situated cottage.
