My place is close to beaches, bush and the famous Motu cycle way. You’ll love my place because of the friendly welcome, the little extras AND the comfy bed!! Only 2 hours driving from either Tauranga, Rotorua or Gisborne - a good resting point. Lovely quiet cottage set on lifestyle block with many chickens and sheep. 3 minutes driving to fabulous Waiotahi beach and only 10 minutes into Opotiki for cafes and shopping. Te Poutapeta is a Historic Places Trust listed building. Up until the 1980s it served as the community Post Office. Our family run it as a B&B or Holiday House but do not live on site. Guests have the entire house at their disposable. We provide continental breakfast. The Post Office is a one minute walk to our long and expansive beach. You’ll love our Poutapeta for its history, spaciousness and comfort. It is relaxing and unspoilt. Nau mai, haramai!

The facilities are all modern, with heat pump/air conditioning, acomodating 4 people with style, comfort and ease. One queen bed is in the lounge as a pull down/retractable and the second in a separate bedroom. Shower and toilet is an ensuite shared by all guests but accessed through the bedroom.
