  • Had such a wonderful stay at the old Mill. Margo was super helpful and friendly and the place was absolutely spotless. Loved the stove fireplace in the sitting room to curl up and watch a movie and relaxing in the little seating area to have a cup of tea in the morning. Will 100% be returning to this amazing spot. Thank you Margo it was the R&R we needed x

  • The house has great character. My husband and I and 5 kids enjoyed exploring the yard, the stream, the large house, games provided, wood-burning stoves, and the cat. :) Margo communicated wonderfully with us and was flexible when we ran an hour later than expected. Wonderful accommodations overall and we enjoyed our stay! Of note- no WiFi which was fine with us...the teenagers had to go outside to use data/service, LOL.

    Gina2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place to stay! We had an overnight stay only and everything was good. Keep in mind there are 2 showers with access from bedroom. This was not very convenient for the couple who stayed in a twin bedroom upstairs. But we managed it.

    Anna2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome, fantastic, unique home. Loved the location - away from the world, but everything within easy reach. Tons of areas to explore inside and around the house for our 1-and-an-almost teenagers. TJ, the resident (outside only) cat is a valued guardian of the grounds. Margo, the host, is a star - lovely person. We will be back, as often as we can!

  • Beautiful space. So peaceful and tranquil. The photos don’t do it justice. Margo is super helpful. Enjoy a stay at the old mill.

A cosy retreat. Easy access to beaches, walks and city. The cottage is annexed to the main house. It includes a bedroom, shower room, kitchen and breakfast room all private.
We live down a quiet country lane which is a cul de sac. We are a five minute drive from Faithlegg House and Golf Course and a ten minute walk from award winning Jack Meade's Pub and Restaurant. Inside the cottage, the rooms are bright and airy. The bed is very comfortable. So everybody tells us.
As well as Jack Meade's Pub and Faithlegg Hotel being minutes away, there is lots more on offer. There are guided historical walking tours with local Andrew Doherty, and boat rides on the Brian Boru from fishing village Cheekpoint, also minutes away by car. Within a 10K radius or less, you will find the quaint seaside village of Dunmore East. Nearby Woodstown, 3k away, offers a lovely beach and a great pub/restaurant. Tramore, boasts Ireland's longest beach, with surfing, bars and lots of restaurants. Waterford, Ireland's oldest Viking city is only 5k away.
  • The cottage is really stylish , clean and charming full of rustic character. It was pleasure meeting Leonardo and Bernardine . I will highly recommend their place for a couple. Looking forward to stay in future again.

  • Lovely little spot. Pretty close to Waterford. Clean, cosy and quirky.

    Jennifer2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage in a quiet area but not too far from the city or supermarket. Leonardo was really responsive to messages and is very helpful. We stayed here with our labrador without a problem. Ask Leonardo for the Italian cook book if you plan to make your own dinner. Recipes are fab and so yum! Will stay again if we're going back to Waterford.

Guilcagh Church is approached up a long avenue of mature lime trees. Enter into a different world through the iron gated double doors where surprises lurk around every corner.
Guilcagh Church radiates an ambience of luxury within the serene atmosphere of a Gothic treasure. Set in a sun drenched wilderness, with a south facing terrace - ideal for evening drinks. Carmel and Liam have restored this magnificent building's sensitivity - it epitomises comfort and luxury through every level. The living space is heated by an oversized wood burning stove, fuelled with fresh logs gathered from the farm - should you wish to curl up and snuggle for the evening. There is underfloor heating throughout with magnificent chandeliers dominating the space leading up to the curved balcony - venture up the wooden spiral stairs to this expansive space overlooking the pulpit. Situated off the upstairs balcony is a large double bedroom and ensuite - private stairs lead downstairs passing magnificent ceiling to floor original stainglassed windows. Downstairs hosts another double bedroom with queen bed. The alter area has been imaginatively and sensitively converted into a kitchen, oozing atmosphere. This property demands social evenings and good conversation. For sublime relaxation, dining and gatherings are a must in this wonderful location. The church is equipped with everything you would expect from such a 5 star home - however if you have a particular requirement be sure to let us know.
Situated five minutes from the local village of Portlaw - the small village is steeped in history, being the local Cotton Mill village. Stroll around this lovely village and visit the local historic sites.
  • Wow! Just wow! We knew we were going to be staying in a renovated church, but we didn’t realize just how homey and comfortable it would be! They did a marvelous job preserving the historic church, and decorating it just perfectly. From the heated floors, to the well furnished kitchen, to the cozy fireplace by the comfortable master bedroom - our 20th wedding anniversary will be one we will never forget! Carmel and Liam had the fire roaring for us when we arrived, and took time to show us around, and make sure we had everything we needed, couldn’t have asked for anything else!

    Brad & Amanda2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The church was a great and unique place to stay and we really loved it! Carmel & Liam we're super nice and helpful and they had the place all nice and ready for when arrived! I would highly recommend staying there and we will definitely try to stay again in the future!

  • Carmel and Liam have done an excellent job in the restoration and conversion of this church. We received a warm welcome from Liam and we we really enjoyed our stay. The log burning stove makes the whole place very cosy. We are looking forward to our return visit.

  • This place is really something special. A beautifully and lovingly restored old church perfectly situated between Dungarvan and Waterford. There are stunning walks and lots of places to visit in the area but with its wood burning stove and cosy atmosphere you won’t want to leave. We had an amazing stay, Carmel was wonderful and gave us the full history of the church. Fascinating. Don’t miss your chance to stay here. We will definitely be coming back!

    Deirdre2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in this unique space, with plenty of firewood to cozy up by the fire to bring in the new year. The laundry with a separate washer and dryer was a real bonus while trying to pack light in winter. The hosts met us upon arrival and it was really lovely to hear about their journey acquiring and being stewards to this beautiful place.

  • Hannah is amazing! She is very kind. She left things for us in the fridge and in the toilet.

    Ana Beatriz2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Hannah is a lovely host and was there to greet us (apologies for running late!). Hannah gave us the ‘low down’ of where things were in the apartment and how to operate the shower. The beds are super comfy and the room was big enough for my husband and I. There were items in the fridge for our use, water, milk and jam, so that was really lovely, plus little items in the cupboard for us to use as well. If you want a ‘home away from home’ stay in Waterford, this place is for you! The location is close enough to the city centre to drive to as well as the local Tesco supermarket. All in all, wonderful night had at Hannah’s home. Thank you so much for a lovely stay Hannah 😊

  • Leonie’s house in Tramore is a superb place to stay. The house is brilliantly located, under a 10 minute walk to the seafront. The amazing Seagull bakery is only 1 minute away with bars and restaurants only 5 minutes away. The hospitality that Leonie showed was brilliant, the little touches showing why she’s a superhost. The house itself has lots of room, it’s bright, warm and very nicely renovated. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re in the South East. Brilliant base for the greenway also.

  • What a house...what a view. We stayed two nights here. Just gorgeous. A house that was lovingly renovated with all the latest mod cons ensuring it's an extremely pleasant stay. Leonie and Charley have left no expense spared in ensuring the house had all the necessary touches required to make the stay very comfortable. And the view??? Gorgeous. We're already hoping to go back in the summer... thanks again!!!

    Sinead2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is exceptional, with incredible views looking out over Tramore Beach and Tramore Bay. The open plan living area was spectacular, with amazing views from almost every part of the seating and dining area. The bedrooms were great, and the beds were some of the most comfortable we have slept in. We will be back!

    Chris2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most wonderful stay at Leonies house, we didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to get back there again. The house is beautifully styled and so comfy with absolutely everything you could possibly need there for you, Leonie has thought of it all. The views from the house are just amazing you can sit on the beautiful couch at the front of the house and look out at the sea spread out before you or you have the luxury of lying in the beautiful king size bed with the curtains open and again that stunning view. The location is perfect the beach is only a 2 minute walk and the town. We parked up our car when we arrived and didn’t get into it again till we were leaving. Leonie is an excellent host communication before our stay was excellent she had some recommendations for us of food places to eat which we really appreciated and the most lovely welcome hamper with lots of treats as well as bread butter milk eggs juice, all that we needed to get started and a lovely bottle of wine too. Thanks Leonie for a great stay and we can’t wait to return.

  • Great location, short walk from beach, bars and restaurants. Didn't spend much time in the house as the weather was very nice. Slept fine and room for everyone, nice and quiet for a chilled breakfast. The house is old and full of character so expect squeeks and rattles, but we loved it here.

  • Such a lovely space. It’s in a quiet area with a beautiful view, and just a short walk from the ocean. It’s also a convenient location for hikes, waterfalls, and visiting Waterford. You have a private space but also have easy access to Paul and his wife, for great recommendations and chats. We showed up when social distancing began to be enforced for Covid-19, but this is a great location for outdoor activities without crowds.

    Ally2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful place to stay, lovely details in the house, great communication with Paul, everything was clean ... we really enjoyed our stay there. Everything was perfect, highly recommended flat. Thx again!

    David2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great for a break in the countryside!! From the minute we contacted Paul to enquire about the place, he was so lovely to deal with and very prompt with his responses. The accommodation is exactly as described. It was sparklingly clean, the bed is super comfy, and they have an enclosed garden for our dog to run around in. (We have quite a big dog, and there was no issues with him staying!) They left a few breakfast essentials for us (cereal, bread, eggs, milk, tea, coffee, jam etc.) which was very much appreciated, as the nearest shop is a bit of a drive away. They also left a few surprises (yummy crumpets & white chocolate reindeer treats!) We would highly recommend this Airbnb if you’re looking somewhere in the South East!

  • Paul is a great host. Everything was clean and as specified in description. Nice view to the sea.

  • Nice place on the coast on the outskirts of Annestown. The place was very clean and warm with lovely touches like fresh milk, juice, bread, cereal, granola, butter etc. Very comfy bed and living space. Easy checking in and out. Enclosed garden which made the trip very enjoyable bringing our little doggie. Paul made us lovely bacon Bla’s on the morning we were checking out which was a nice surprise. Thanks to Paul & Fiona. We had a nice, relaxing stay and would recommend it highly.

    Olivia2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Spent a week here and really enjoyed our stay. The flat has everything you need for a lovely relaxed holiday . It's centrally located for exploring the lovely Copper Coast area. The nearby beach was beautiful. Paul & Fiona are wonderful hosts, the flat was spotless and welcoming. It's spacious so makes a longer stay there very comfortable. The kitchen is great and Paul & Fiona stocked the fridge/cupboards with the essentials for breakfasts plus unexpected treats. We really appreciated Paul's advice about the Greenway as we hadn't cycled for years - he suggested picking up bicycles in Kilmacthomas and cycling towards Dungarvan as this direction is downhill!! This made our day on the Greenway very manageable and enjoyable. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week.

    Fionn2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Paul was a wonderful host, friendly and helpful for any local information we needed. The setting is lovely and conducive to relaxing and unwinding. Apartment is very clean and has all the amenities you could need for a few days in the county and coastline. We will be back.

  • I warmly recommend this place to stay in Waterford.

    François2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Shirley's place is great especially for anyone who needs quick access to UHW. The room was lovely and warm and the bathroom was spotless. Everything you could possibly need for breakfast was provided. Shirley was lovely to chat to and is a really great host, offering local recommendations for those new to Waterford. Like many of the other reviews, if you're a dog person you'll absolutely love Dory! And if you're not, you will be after your stay! I miss her already. I couldn't recommend Shirley's place enough as you have easy access to the centre of Waterford, and supermarket/pubs etc close to your doorstep, the perfect base in Waterford. Thank you Shirley and Dory :-) xx

  • My husband and I had 3 lovely relaxing days in Tramore. The house is in a quiet location just 5 minutes drive from The Strand. The house itself is cozy and comfortable, very clean with everything you might need to be self sufficient. Pats wife Carmel had very kindly left us with bread, milk and butter. A much appreciated gesture on arrival. We met the lovely Molly our last day, their very cute and friendly little doggy. Highly recommend this house and location.

  • My wife had broken her ankle badly in Wexford and we had to extend our stay in Ireland until we could fly home. I looked for a place that my wife could relax, was not in the city, but close enough to see the sites and get immersed in Ireland. We decided to go to Tramore and stay at Patrick’s AirBnB. I have to say, WOW, this cottage was perfect for us! I don’t think we could have found a better place. The cottage had everything we needed to be comfortable for the couple of weeks of our extended vacation including easy access, a nice comfortable bed, strong internet connection, TV, washer/dryer, and many other amenities. We were able to easily take a cab home when going to the Pubs. The cottage is in a nice location and the drive to Tramore, Waterford, and other surrounding areas to see the sites was easy (I walked in to Tramore to do shopping a few times until I picked up my car). Patrick and and his wife were fabulous hosts too! They provided us with advice on what to see and do as well as where to shop and eat. Staying at Patrick’s Cottage was truly Ireland the way I think of it - small town, farmland, ocean, pubs, restaurants, and friendly people! Honestly, we would give a much higher score if the scale went higher! If you want a place that is quiet and just the perfect distance from the tourist crowds, stay here, you will not be disappointed!

    Brad2018-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, clean, refurbished place. Nice and homey. All amenities are there. Town is just a short drive away. We only found it very last minute but Patrick was really quick to reply and welcome us in Tramore. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it any time! Thank you!

We are a guesthouse in the centre of Waterford catering to singles, couples and families. We previously had a backpacker hostel attached to the property but that has been closed until further notice as a result of Covid-19 so are unable to offer dorm style accommodations.
We have great social areas for meeting other backpackers and staff and a lovely garden where our dog Lucy hangs out.. We can only list 1 price on here - that's €40 per person for a private en-suite single bedroom with television. Prices do depend on the day of the week and time of year. We also have double, twin, triple and family rooms for different prices. If you drop us a mail we can quote you a price.
We're in a really old part of Ireland's oldest city (1100 years old last year). There are some really cool old buildings (our own is 210 years old complete with a 100 year old grain mill in what would have been the old servant's quarters in the basement!
  • This is the guesthouse to stay in Waterford! Such absolutely sympathic people, the (single) room excellent, nice and clean and quiet. It all felt so welcoming and perfect. The breakfast is a nice moment to meet other guests. Very recommandable!!

The Stack is a self contained apartment, simply but tastefully designed with an Ikea kitchen, lovely bedroom and living room with large sofa bed.It is about ten minutes walk from the village of Dunmore East and has views of the sea and the Hook lighthouse as well as direct access to the newly refurbished cliff walk to Portally.
  • Perfectly located, lovely Atlantic view, we just felt comfortable and at home! Thank you, Anne.

  • Anne is lovely!!! The place is lovely!!!! Do not miss it!

    Kyle2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Anne was an absolute treasure. She went out of her way to get us down to the shop and back, and waited for us. She also was very helpful with sorting things out for our journey. The Stack was awesome. Very cute layout very functional, the stovetop was different than back home so it took a few extra minutes to figure out it only worked with the pan on it! It was cool! The bed is very comfortable and the shower was really nice and the views are AMAZING from the front room. It is a tiny walk down the road right to the cliffs!

    Kyle2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Anne’s place was the perfect space if you’re looking for something in a small town (just a 15-20 minute drive from Waterford) with amazing food and even better views. Just a short walk behind the house offers incredible views of the cliffs and sea. Anne is very kind and hospitable and makes a wonderful host. Would definitely recommend!

    Victoria2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views out to sea and the wind was howling outside but we were snug inside. There's a huge garden outside to enjoy the sea views and fill your lungs with the sea air. Inside there's a spacious bedroom with ensuite. The living room has a sofabed, flatscreen tv, large dining table and large kitchenette. All furniture and fittings are modern and stylish. The kitchen was stocked with milk, water, tea and coffee and the bathroom even had new toothbrushes, if required. Wow... Great attention to detail. We requested a slightly early check-in and Anne, our host, obliged immediately. To sum up, don't hesitate to book this accommodation. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

    Shay2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful place to stay. Anne is a very welcoming host. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and warm. The view of the sea was amazing. We would highly recommend this accommodation if you are traveling to Dunmore East.

    Sharon2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Anne is a very lovely host. She provided us with a bottle of milk and water. The appartement was exactly what we wished for. The view of the sea is outstanding and if you are as lucky as we were you can see a beautiful sunrise while having your morning coffee.

My place is 2-3 minutes walk from the beach. It is great for families, couples, friends and solo travellers. Restaurants, bars, family-friendly activities and shops are all within easy walking distance. The apartment is light, spacious and comfortable. The living area faces the sea, with French windows opening onto a balcony. The corner double bedroom also faces the sea. A few steps lead down to the front door. Kitchen appliances include dishwasher, microwave and coffeemaker. Free parking.
Bedroom 3 has a desk, office chair and reading lamp. There is no carbon monoxide alarm because there are no fuel-burning appliances on the property and therefore none is needed.
The beach is Tramore's defining feature - Tramore means 'trá mhór' (big beach) in Irish. It's a sandy, safe beach, and also a prime surfing spot. There is a lively amusement park in the summer. As well as swimming and surfing, you can hire bikes in Tramore, play golf, and go horse-riding nearby (my daughter likes Lake Tour Stables) . The nearby coastline is stunning, with many quiet beaches and coves. Tramore is full of good pubs and eateries. Check out the Vee Bistro, the Banyan, and the Copper Hen. Brooklyn on the promenade has good food and sea views. The Seagull Bakery does lovely bread. Cahill's is a local Aladdin's cave, selling everything from newspapers to craft supplies. Supervalu is just up the road. Don't miss a visit to the Japanese Gardens, and the Coastguard Cultural Centre on the Doneraile.
  • Fantastic location overlooking the beach. Within walking distance of the town centre. The complex was very well maintained and quiet. The apartment is a good size, very comfortable for a family of 6

  • Lovely town, lovely space and a most lovely hostess! Tramore is a great seaside town that has a lot to offer even during the off-season around Christmas. A great part was this very spacious and welcoming apartment with nice views of the sea and the town centre. Best yet was our hostess who went out of her way to make us feel at home. She was often sharing helpful tips before and during our visit making the experience that much better. No matter when you are thinking about visiting, this is the place to stay!!

Formerly part of the dairy farm in the grounds of historic Annestown house, this is one of four newly refurbished apartments in a very unique location, offering breath-taking views of the Atlantic Ocean, with direct access to the cliffs and Annestown beach. In a tranquil and secluded setting close to the buzz of Waterford, you can be spoilt by the best of both worlds – whether it’s surfing, hiking, sight-seeing, cycling the nearby Greenway, the Anne Valley Walk, or just enjoying the views.
The Granary Loft is positioned in an elevated position with unrivalled views of Annestown Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. It is smaller than the neighbouring Creamery Loft, but with a unique cozy and romantic feel for a very special escape.
Set in Ireland's Copper Coast Geopark, the tiny village of Annestown sits where the River Anne meets the Atlantic Ocean. It is a complete escape from the hustle and bustle of nearby Waterford City, with easy access to an abundance of activities whilst surrounded by natural beauty.
  • We had a wonderful stay at Seàns place so much so that we stayed an extra week. The views from the apartment are spectacular it really is a little bit of heaven and some place to go where you can completely switch off from it all. The apartment was very cosy and beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and fabulous shower and great tv. The direct access to the beach is great and annestown beach is beautiful we really enjoyed it there. The apartment is in a great location close to lots of beautiful beaches and breathtaking scenery with easy access to tramore for shops. Seàn was a great host very friendly and he shared a lot of local knowledge and tips with us. We would absolutely recommend a stay here.

  • We had a great stay in the Granary Loft, a beautiful modern apartment on the second level of these quaint converted farm buildings. The place was super clean. All facilities were amazing (shower, kitchen, TV etc.). Despite it’s exposed position overlooking the sea, the apartment was always very cosy. Our host was very responsive and offered lots of info on local activities. The photos online do not do justice to the stunning views from the living room.

  • If I could give ten stars for location I would. A fabulous weekend spent looking at the sea from this stunning loft. It is very tastefully decorated with a full working kitchen, bright and airy livingroom and bedroom and gorgeous sea views. Great hosts, we will definitely be back, thanks for everything!

  • The views from the apartment really make this place special. We were warmly greeted by Seán and communication with him was quick and easy. The apartment is tastefully decorated and very clean. The kitchen allows you to cook basic meals but would perhaps benefit from one or two additional things if you're planning a more elaborate meal. The panoramic windows with incredible sea views definitely make this place worth a visit.
