Trefor Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Trefor

A get away in a rural area on the edge of the Snowden Nation Park. Completely off the beaten track. The house is situated approximately nine miles south of Caernarfon, in the village of Tai'n Lon standing close by the landmark 13th century St Beunos Church near the village of Clynnog Fawr. The immediate area is designated as one of outstanding natural beauty, with abudent wildlife, breathtaking mountain views dropping away to sandy beaches and rocky coves. You will enjoy views of the Eifl Mountains (the Rivals), Caernarfon Bay, the foothills of Snowdonia and, to the north, Ynys Mon (the Isle of Anglesey). Your home is ideally situated for exploring the magic of North Wales' historic castles, sites of ancient mystery and legendary beaches, coves and the spectacular scenery of the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey, with endless opportunities for hiking and walking, myriad challenging golf courses and, of course, the wonders of Snowdonia. A great base from which to explore this part of North Wales. Caernarfon, Criccieth and Penrhyn Castles are all within 30 minutes, steeped in Celtic history and heritage and a stronghold of the Welsh language. The island of Anglesey is within easy reach (25 miles) and well worth a visit. Beaumeris being one of my favourite stops for ice cream, fish and chips and stunning scenery! A place to relax and enjoy the countryside and beautiful nearby beaches of Dinas Dinlle and Nefyn. We offer a warm house with oil central heating and gas fire. There is a spacious, well eqipped kitchen, with washing machine; cooker; microwave: fridge/freezer. The living room has a leather three seater and a two seater setee. In addition, the light and airy conservatry, looking out onto the welsh hills, has 2 x two seater bamboo seatees. There are 3 bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed the other two have single beds. The bathroom has a bath and electric shower. The garden is gated and ideal for children. Situated in a small quiet village, with the local shop about 2 miles away, take aways about 5 miles, so bring a few bits with you. Public transport is about 2 miles on the a499. Both families with children, couples or groups have enjoyed staying with us. Pwllheli is probably the nearest market town, 10 miles away. A busy market town (Wednesdays) with art galleries and popular sailing and watersports centre. See the wildlife, seabirds and dolphins - on costal cruises. An excellent leisure centre to keep the kids entertained, along with activity-packed Glasfyn Parc. From the front door you can take one of the footpaths, or you coud take the Loneifion cycle track, along the disused railway line to Caerarfon. We hope to here from you soon.

  • Great times in a great house!

  • I am extremely grateful to stay this. Natural environment, Lovely kitchen tool, hospitable landlord and neighborhood

    David2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The house was actually bigger than we expected. The directions to get there were accurate and easy to follow. We had a good stay and would recommend it.

    Mary2014-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • The house is comfortable and we loved having a kitchen and three bedrooms to ourselves. The kitchen was pretty well stocked and had an eat-in table. We loved the two sitting rooms downstairs, one light and cool, the other warm and cozy. The radiators were great for chilly evenings. Our Garmin had some trouble finding the house, but once there we found we were reasonably close to the attractions we wanted to see. Ignore the picture of the sea , the sea is not close to the house. Alas, no wi-fi! Wyn was responsive, though we never met him. Thanks! Karen May 2015

  • Fantastic house in perfect location, had a lovely time visiting great places nearby and then writing in the afternoons, everything was just as described and Wyn was available on the phone for anything I needed, would go again peaceful and beautiful.

  • It is really a great place to stay! Fully equiped, in a lovely surrounding. We did not have a chance to meet the Owner however there was no problem to contact him. Neighbours are really nice and helpful. We can honestly recommend this place for everyone who want to ecsape from the city.

    Marta2015-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • We felt very welcomed by Wyn. His cottage is comfortable and cosy just what we needed after a long drive. Everything we needed at hand. Thank you once again Wyn.

My place is close to the beach, family-friendly activities, and public transport. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the comfy beds, and the kitchen. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
We have a lovely room at the back of the house with a full wall window to sit and joy the peaceful view..
It is a peaceful unspoilt village but close to tourist attractions There is a corner shop at the top of the street, post office opposite the house that also sells essentials. We have a pub about a minute walk from the house called (Y Twr). Directions and map to the pub is in the house
  • Just returned from a fantastic weekend at this lovely cottage. Deceptively spacious, comfortable accommodation, clean and tidy, nice decor, comfortable beds and a little welcome pack. The village is ideally situated for accessing the Llyn Peninsula and Snowdonia. There's a beach, part sand, part pebbled, lovely views over to Anglesey. We really enjoyed our visit and will certainly be back some day!

  • From start to end the host provided me with all the information i needed and with speedy replies. I arrived late that night however this wasn't an issue. The Cottage was just how described and had everything you would need for your stay. Would defiantly recommend!!!

  • Great little cottage, very cosy and quiet. We used it for a weekend climbing snowdon and it was perfect for 5 adults. Lovely touches, heaps of fluffy towels, warm heating, fruits and wine! Would def recommend and use again if we were in the area.

  • Katrina's cottage was absolutely wonderful. It was utterly charming and extremely well stocked. The beds were super comfy and the whole place had such a lovely homely feel; definitely the best airbnb I've stayed in, to date. It was the perfect spot for my husband, myself and our friends to share a great weekend; thank you!

    Trefor, United Kingdom

This spacious and delightful traditional welsh terraced cottage sits just a short stroll from a sandy pebble-backed beach, village stores and pub. Ideally located for exploring the area’s beautiful beaches and coastline, it lies on the foothills of Yr Eifl and is within easy reach of a host of family attractions including Caernarfon.
At the foot of Yr Eifl, the tallest hills on the peninsula, lies the village of Trefor, which owes its very existence to the quarries on the hills above it. Granite from Yr Eifl quarry has been used to make Olympic Curling Stones, as well as many curb stones in the larger towns and cities of England and Wales. Trefor's small harbour offers a small sandy beach, on this otherwise fairly rocky stretch of coastline, as a wander to the end of the old pier illustrates as you look either way along the shore. The pier is popular with fishermen and there are many walks which explore the coast and hills that start from the village. Trefor is a close community with basic facilities available at it's centre. The village is roughly 8 miles from Pwllheli and 12 miles from Caernarfon.
"Sea and mountains, old and new, liveliness and solitude, culture and apathy, industry and beauty - it is a place full of contrasts, but there's only one Trefor."

  • Our stay was really nice, Owen's mum was very friendly and helpful. Everything was as expected, excepting the amazing view from the house. Thanks again for having us.

    Alin2016-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Owen's mum Megan was lovely! she greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome during our entire trip. The room we had was clean and had its own bathroom, the bed was VERY comfy. The views from the house were stunning, our only regret is we were so busy exploring the peninsula we couldn't spend more time with Megan Lona & James

    James2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • I had my problems getting there, as it was night, so I called Owen's mum and she gave me good directions, so that I arrived safely at her place. Owens'mum is such a wonderful adorable lady. We had a wonderful time together, she is very inspiring. She gave me good tips what locations to visit in my short stay at her place. Very nice surrounding would love to come again.

    Lydia2016-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was everything it said it would be, and more. The house was spotless and the host, Megan, (Owen's mother) is simply a dote of a person. We spent some lovely times with her. She is a lady with wonderful energy. I'm not sure if I can share her age in this review except to say that she is a mighty person with lots of life experience. We also spent an enjoyable night with Owen in local pub to watch Wales v Portugal in Euro 16 Semi Finals. Owen organised taxi home. This is a Welsh Speaking Area on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula. We only had four days which simply planted the seed to ensue we return. Lecheed da Pob Cymru. An Bhreatain Bheag abú!! Seán.

    Seán2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Owens gorgeous Mum, Megan greeted us at the house after Owen came to where we were to "rescue" us after we got lost! Owen had to go away for business but we had a lovely time and learnt a lot about the area and the Welsh language from Megan. Large, cosy room with a very comfortable bed. There is no fan in the ensuite toilet. Gorgeous area, close to lots of attractions. We enjoyed our visit with Megan very much.

    Martina2016-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in Megan's Llanaerhaearn village home with my friend for 4 nights and this was the best for us so far on the Lleyn Peninsula where we've been visiting for 8 years now, usually 3-4 times a year. It was wonderfully quiet. Very clean. Very user-friendly. Big thank you to Megan and Owen.

    Tündi2016-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Attended a wedding at Nant Gwrtheyrn and the cottage was ideally located. The private room was great. The bed was really comfy! Megan (Owens mum) was lovely and let us get on with things and have privacy. Would recommend!

    Chris2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Megan was a delightful host. The kettle was on and she made me cake! My room was spacious and very comfortable. Megan told me what was worth seeing in the neighbourhood. I had a lovely time and felt really at home.

Ideal location for exploring the Lleyn Peninsula, with beautiful beaches and quaint market towns. Easy access to Snowdonia National Park, Historic Castles, friendly natives and stunning scenery.
Quiet relaxing location, generous living spaces with great views. Owners are at work during week.
Llanaelhaearn is a small village on the north coast of the LLeyn Peninsular. The nearest small town is Pwllheli ( 7 miles), with Caernarfon and its castle (13 miles). A perfect base to explore on foot or by car. Tourist brochures available with discount offers for all guests.
  • Good location for area Very amenable hosts

    Michael2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very quite and host very pleasant to deal with. Accommodation excellent and well worth the money

    eddy2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts are very welcoming and look after you well. At the same time, they are not intrusive and we very much felt like we had our own space. The private rooms were clean and spacious with a few interesting choices on the bookshelf. The dogs are friendly and very good with children and the location of the house is in a truly beautiful part of the countryside. We would recommend this airbnb as a great base for anyone looking to explore the area, whether already familiar with Lleyn or visiting for the first time. The hosts communicated with us well before we arrived and as the weather was not great for our visit we did spend more time inside than we had intended. However, we were quite comfortable inside during this time - reading and relaxing. The calmness of the house was intoxicating and we would have been very happy to spend a second week there, had it been possible.

    David2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • I would recommend this place if you want fantastic space and value for money and relaxed and friendly hosts who go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. There were added extras like fruit and yogurt in the fridge as well as the normal tea and biscuits. The surrounding area is great for walking, just step outside the front door, and near by to some great beaches. The set up was flexible and allowed us to have come and go as we pleased with out disturbing our hosts. Would thoroughly recommend!

    Julian2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome location, friendly hosts, and great doggies too :) It was an excellent start point to explore Anglesey and North West Wales with a 'home away from home' feel that is very child-friendly too. Our toddler was happy to run around and took to David and Maggie immediately; as hosts (all four!), they added dimension to our stay. Wifi was decent enough to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) family far away, and there is plenty of space just to slouch. With things to do just a drive away, there are lots of opportunities to keep young ones busy whatever the weather. The promise of a luxuriously deep bath to soak and sink into when back from a days trek was the icing on [our ninth anniversary] cake.

    Feisal2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • David and marguerite were the most helpful , welcoming and accommodating hosts. They made our stay as comfortable as it could possibly be. Everything we would need was provided in our room, we had a private bathroom and living room which were extemely cosy and homely. The area was beautiful with stunning mountain views in every direction . David and marguerite told us about all the local areas and places we could visit , as well as a walking route we took which was one of the highlights of the weekend. We wouldn't have found that walk if not suggested by our hosts . In the village their isn't much amenities which didn't bother us as we prefer to stay in much more remote areas . We were only a short car ride away from any shops, restaurants and we could also get to various beaches within 30 minutes . Would 100% reccomend to anyone to stay here as we both had a very memorable and pleasant stay!

Our cosy, yet spacious hut is a great holiday retreat for any couple. Set on the Llyn Peninsula with great destinations at its doorstep with spectacular views all around. Within a short walking distance from the pub which serves great local food on Friday and Saturday nights, and only a short drive away from Pwllheli, Nefyn, Abersoch and many other villages which host some of Wales' most beautiful beaches. We would love to welcome you to our amazing part of Wales.
The Sheperds Hut is set on our field which is in front of the house, there is a garden area for your own use where you can sit, relax and enjoy the best breathtaking views around, right across Cardigan bay to the south and across the hills further along the peninsula to the south west. The toilet and shower room are a few feet away from the pod, and a small kitchen area which has your basic needs e.g. kettle, toster, microwave, drinking glasses, mugs, plates, bowls, cutlery and a bottle and can opener. We also supply complimentary tea and coffee, a small milk jug, toilet rolls, shower gel and hand soap. The sheperds hut it's self is warm and cosy with underfloor heating if you need it, you can wake up to the sounds of nature in the double bed which is really comfy with a large window looking towards Cardigan bay, it has two comfy chairs for you to relax on after your day of adventure, table and two chairs. Towels and bed linen is supplyed. This is a well thought out little complex.
  • Really wonderful place to stay. Incredibly clean, well constructed, peaceful, remarkably convenient for local sites. There's a great pub with tremendous food within walking distance. Really lovely place to switch off.

Easy travel to several great days out, helped by Caroline's local knowledge on places to visit. Would definitely love to stay again and will be recommending to friends. Many thanks!

  • Wonderful location and just the right mix of peace and quiet that I needed. Facilities are extremely clean and well thought out, and the Shepherd's Hut itself was warm and cosy. Photos do not do the beautiful location justice!

Fresh, light, newly refurbished cottage in a unique "Scandi" style design. It has one bedroom with a open plan living area and wet room, with underfloor heating throughout. It is set between two working sheep farms in Llanaelhaearn, and is ideally situated for exploring the beaches and coastal paths of the Llyn Peninsula, enjoying the footpaths and adventures of Snowdonia, or just relaxing away from it all. There is also unlimited super fast broadband for you to enjoy.
It has been refurbished to a very high standard with finishing touches like the Orla Kiely bedding and throws to the Eames Style furniture in the living and bedroom areas. The Tempur double mattress just finishes things off for your comfort. There is a Smart tv and unlimited broadband just incase you want to chill in front of the tv in the evening (after climbing Snowdon of course). The new modern kitchen area has a built in oven, hob with extractor fan and fridge/ freezer. There is also a microwave, toaster and kettle, everything you would need to prepare a light meal. Caroline your host, is a qualified Nordic Walking Instructor, and has a wealth of knowledge on walking routes of all distances in the area and has left maps and walking guides for you to use.
Llanaelhaearn is known as the "Gateway to the Llyn Peninsula" it is famous for it's church St Aelhaearn which is on the pilgrims trail to Bardsey Island. It is ideally situated as a base for your stay, being 20 minutes drive to the towns of Caernarfon, Pwllheli and Criccieth. 30 minutes drive to the buzzing centre of Abersoch and Llanberis for walking up Snowdon. For a unforgettable trip on the longest zip wire in Europe "Zip World" is only 40 minutes away in Bethesda. On a more relaxing note, Trefor Beach is five minutes drive away, and is great for evening walks, dolphin spotting and watching the sun set. Above the village lies the Iron Age hill fort of Tre'r Ceiri which was first built around 200BC, it is one of the most spectacular ancient monuments in Wales.
  • Caroline was a perfect hostess and the cottage, well it was amazing. Centrally located to many beautiful places and yet well secluded for a peaceful and relaxing stay. It's the perfect place for two people to sit back and enjoy a quiet morning with coffee and breakfast whilst sitting in a bright and open cottage. We made nearly all of our meals there and Caroline made sure we had all the right utensils for the job. It was exactly what we needed and we will most definitely be staying again.

    Jeana2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quiet location and a good base for the Lleyn. Caroline & Chris were considerate and have created a comfortable retreat, fantastic value!

    Eliza2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place. My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 nights and felt so at home. It is such a well designed place with a modern kitchen, the best utensils and new furniture. The flat has everything you could need for a lovely visit to North Wales. Caroline gave us a warm welcome and ideas about places to visit in the local area. It is a great location for driving to beaches and the mountains. We were sad to have to leave!

  • WOW! My partner and I stayed here over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend. The location was perfect for us to explore the Snowdonia National Park. The cottage was perfection! We love the bright and airy feel to it. When we arrived, Caroline welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. This place is a gem and we plan to come back in the near future :)

  • We had an absolutely brilliant stay at this cottage. It is beautifully decorated and very clean. There is everything you could possibly need in the cottage for a relaxing stay. We felt really tucked away in the Welsh countryside but it was close enough to plenty of places we wanted to explore and visit. Caroline was a fantastic and welcoming host. She took the time to show us round the cottage showing us where everything was and we really appreciated her recommendations for places to eat and visit.

    Catherine2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, modern renovated mill-house, not far from abersoch. A lovely welcome from host Caroline, leaving us cheese & wine on our arrival Execellent hosts, very knowledgeable about the local area. Our fave Airbnb yet (prolific Airbnber's)

London House is an old house with loads of character. The stairs creek (but, so do my knees ). This is a house on Airbnb, it is not modern and it is not a 5 star hotel. Basic, friendly, no frills accommodation, this is reflected in the price. If you are looking for perfection please go and stay elsewhere, we'll completely understand. But, if you want a relaxing, get away from it all self catering holiday with loads of great walks, amazing views, and a pub opposite, this is the place for you! There is no gas in Llithfaen, hence there is no central heating in the cottage. There are night storage heaters, the cost of which is included in the rental fee, but because we are trying to keep costs down, everything else, including the oil filled mobile heaters is charged through the £1 coin meter, which accepts old and new coins. Depending on the time of year the night storage heaters can be turned on before you arrive, however if its the summer months, you will have to request this, but in colder months we use our discretion and common sense and turn them on the day before you arrive. There is also no wifi in the property, we live in a lovely Welsh village, away from it all, we like it this way. Appreciate it though if you want wifi, its available in the Y Vic pub opposite In opening hours.
The shear rugged beauty and superb views from the Rival Mountains. You can be in Pwllheli, Nefyn or Abersoch in about 15 minutes. In staggering distance opposite the cottage is the 'Y Vic' Tavern, where you can try the superb the Cymuru Clyn beer brewed locally at Nefyn micro brewery. Food is also serve food ONLY at weekends, they also have wifi at the Y Vic Tafarn which is in staggering distance !!
  • As described by Andrew and fantastic local walks. Good location to explore natural Wales away from the busy seaside resorts. The only downside to the weekend was the mixed weather but that's UK holidays for you.

    Matthew2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Friendly host.

    Ffion2017-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • A great base for touring the Llyn Peninsula and there is a friendly Welsh pub opposite. Parking right outside the property is hit and miss depending on others parking in the area and the road can be busy in the day, but there are plenty of places to park just yards away. Andrew takes dogs here, it suited our small Jack Russell with the lack of lawn at the property but larger dogs may not be so happy. The house is very traditional for the area and of some age, so do not expect clean lines and magnolia etc, rustic and value for money is what you will find here but it works just fine. The electric is metered but we put £1 in there all weekend so it did not break the bank. #Value for money

    David2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely cottage in the centre of a secluded village outside of Nefyn. If you want peace, tranquillity and enjoy walks and fresh air this place is perfect. We have just spent Bank Holiday weekend at London House and it's been fantastic. It has everything we needed and was comfortable and clean, we didn't use the heaters as it was a warm weekend, but all other facilities are excellent. The electric meter is not greedy and the shower is very good. There is a lovely local literally across the road and a shop within 20 yds......we had live music on the Sunday evening and the locals in the bar made us feel very welcome. The phone signal is not great as you would expect being in the Welsh hills, but the pub has WiFi so its not the Dark ages :) Andrew was on hand for any questions before our trip and we met him on the Sunday with his lovely lady as they were passing....top guy and would thoroughly recommend London House to anyone and we are hoping to return at the end of the summer.....

    Steve2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Cute cottage in a small town. Only had to put £1 in meter during our 3 day stay. Only downside; there was no Wi-Fi as stated - only connects if you're actually in the pub

  • Comfortable place and perfect for a week end away at a reasonable price

  • Lovely views and nice location . Stay when the pub across the street serves food which I think is Friday and Saturday. Little grocery across the street. Small town homey way to be near the beech.

This home-from-home is a paradise for walkers and families with amazing views across the mountains and coast. The cottage has wifi, satellite TV and dishwasher. Outside there are large gardens and it's only a short walk to the village pub and shop.
The cottage is at the end of a private lane, making it very private and also safe for children to play. It is comfortable, well-equipped and full of character. There are amazing views from every window and also from the beautiful gardens.
There are a number of beautiful beaches within easy reach, from the long sandy bay at Nefyn, to the wild pebbly beach at Nant Gwrtheyrn. From the front door you can walk up and around the Rivals Mountains. We have information in the cottage about the many places you can visit including the boating paradise of Abersoch, the historic castles of Criccieth and Caernarfon, the beautiful village of Beddgelert and the mountains of Snowdonia.
  • The view from the back of the cottage is amazing, right down the west coastline of Wales. I loved leaving the bedroom curtains open and waking up to sunrise and the beautiful view. The house is spotlessly clean and well maintained. It felt freshly decorated. The back garden is just as pictured and a lovely place to sit out when the weather is good. Also as pictured the sheep do come in and out of the back garden and use it to get to the bottom field (the grass must be greener?). The front garden is a good size for children to play in. The only downside for us was that neither of the gardens were secure enough for our young inquisitive lurchers, although this would not be an issue for most people. A lovely cottage in a superb location.

  • Reluctant to give this place a rave review in case it gets booked up in future and I don't get to stay there again! This cottage is in a spectacular location. You'll want to do the washing up just for the amazing views afforded from the kitchen window. Beautiful setting. Wonderfully appointed, cosy home. Our best holiday in the uk ever. Stunning beaches within 15 minute drive. Snowdonia just down the road. Owner very helpful. We didn't want to leave.

  • We had a fantastic week at Jane's place. The cottage was like home from home - lovely and cosy and really well equipped. There are amazing views and we enjoyed having great walking tracks so close by for running and dog walking. We visited lots of nearby places including beaches and mountains so this was the perfect location for us!

  • Stunning views, beautiful cottage, peaceful location. We stayed at Pedwar Gwynt cottage for our honeymoon in April 2017. Jane and Mark are lovely hosts and have provided a fantastic holiday let with thoughtful information packs and suggestions of what to see locally. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has every comfort for rain or shine. The gardens are a real highlight of the cottage with stunning views of coast and mountains. The cottage is at the end of a small lane, in a peaceful village, can recommend the local pub and community run shop!

  • The views are as spectacular as shown, the house is very well equipped with everything you need and even more. Go for a walk if the weather is great, enjoy the vast variety of games and movies at the cosy fireplace if it's not. If you love north Wales, you'll love this house!

  • Super comfortable and welcoming cottage in a great location with incredible views. We loved exploring the local area and beaches during the day with our dogs, and relaxing in the cottage with the wood burner in the evenings. Would thoroughly recommend this as a fab place to stay, and Jane is very welcoming and helpful, her communication was great from start to finish. Thank you so much, we loved our few days in this lovely cottage

    Jenny2017-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic little cottage with the most stunning views! Perfect for dogs and walking around the local area with beaches only 5/10mins drive away. The kitchen is very modern and has all the things you need including a dish washer, however we never used it because the view from the sink is amazing, so it was a pleasure to wash up! :) I would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in the countryside.

    Charlotte2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately we did not get to meet Jane, but everything was perfect for our arrival including all the essentials to make a cup off tea. The cottage is spacious and very comfortable and the views are absolutely stunning. The location is perfect for visiting Snowdonia and North Wales. A very memorable holiday and thoroughly recommended.

This wonderful farmhouse has been lovingly restored in harmony with its natural environment . Eco friendly, Pantymoeliad is surrounded by glorious gardens and woodland walks and was the original home of the legendary architect - Clough Williams-Ellis, whose quirky village at Portmeirion is close by. The perfect base to explore the very best of the Llyn Peninsula and Snowdonia, this glorious house promises the perfect holiday.
Pantymoeliad has been finished to an exceptionally high standard. The spacious entrance hall is full of light and leads into the Living Room with squishy caramel leather sofas and high back comfortable armchairs. The original wooden fireplace is the centre of the stage and we do provide our own logs for the woodburning stove. The floors are of local slate and compliment the furnishings. And the views! Windows on all sides look out onto the gardens. The spacious kitchen/diner has slate floors, high pale wood ceilings and a huge oak refectory table with seating for 8 and, of course, lots of Portmeirion crockery. French windows lead onto the garden where clever seating areas have been built into the local stone. A separate utility room with a washer and drier which connects to a wet room with shower, loo and sink. Two steps lead to Bedroom 1 which has a great en-suite and is perfect for those guests who struggle a little with the stairs. A stable door leads onto the patio. Three further bedrooms upstairs – all carpeted in grey to match the local slate – and a further family bathroom. Bedroom 4 has bunk beds which will delight the children and Bedroom 2 a flat screen TV. The wall art has been carefully chosen and mainly by local artists. All the bedrooms share glorious views across the gardens towards Cardigan Bay. A majestic Chestnut Tree gives shade in the substantial garden with plenty of room for al fresco dining.
We are ideally located for Absersoch, Criccieth, Llanbedrog, Pwllheli and the superb 84 mile Llyn Coastal Path. Glorious Snowdon is only a short drive away. There are stunning views across to Cardigan Bay from the landscaped gardens. We also own Glasfryn Parc - Snowdon's premier activity park.

The project to convert the Pigsty in 2016 kept us busy to say the least but we're very happy with the way it turned out! The pigsty is perfect for couples and is dog friendly. Heated by a huge 12KW wood burning stove with a modern bathroom and kitchen, satellite TV, DVD player and in-ceiling speakers, oh and there's limited wi-fi if the wind is blowing in the right direction!
Converted pigsty, really is different to anything else you'll come across!
    Very rural area.
  • Great little place in a fantastic location. Would defiantly recommend it for a little break away.

    Michelle2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Pigsty was a wonderful place to stay, we loved the quietness of the location and how central it was - we were able to go to a different beach every day of our stay!

    Sam2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little place to stay surrounded by beautiful scenery. Would recommend to anybody looking for a quite break.

    Rebecca2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Pryderi was an absolutely great host. The Pigsty is set in a beautiful location and the accommodation is first class. There is a good taxi service to and from Pwllheli which is very handy if you don't want to have to drive. The accommodation is about ten minutes from the A499 linking up to towns such as Abersoch. I definitely recommend a stay here if you're looking for a quiet, peaceful holiday. I certainly will be returning.

    Beverley2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely great friendly hosts. Helped us with booking a local taxi and lent us a hair brush when we forgot our own! The Pigsty is lovely. Very cosy and comfortable with a great shower and views of fields of sheep and goats :) Definitely follow the directions they provide as sat nav will never get you there, especially if you arrive in the dead of night like we did! Would 100% love to stay again and would highly recommend

    Katie2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • An Idyllic place, with beautiful beaches and stunning scenery close by. The Pigsty was comfortable and cosy, and was just like being at home. Would definitely go again.

  • Really enjoyed our stay! Beautifully renovated place. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend! Thank you!

  • The Pigsty was the perfect spot to take a break from the world for a few days. Pryderi and Bethan were quick to respond to questions and were on hand with tips and advice for things to do on arrival. The space has been done to a really high standard with the log burning fire a real highlight. A quick drive to Criccieth and Pwllheli, it's a great base to explore the coast or just hideaway with a bottle of whisky and some books for a few days. Diolch!

A charming Victorian house in peaceful grounds, offering a warm friendly welcome. Spectacular sea and mountain views. Ideal for discovering the magic of North Wales, Snowdonia and the Llŷn Peninsula. Currently 2 en-suite bedrooms available.
  • Great room, food and hosts in this country guest accomodation in a gorgeous setting overlooking the sea. Couldn't have asked for more for my stay. Would definitely recommend to all if visiting North Wales and surrounding areas.

  • Meirion and Karen were excellent hosts. They made us feel welcomed and were very accommodating. We arrived later than expected on the first night but they still made us some food and helped use plan our next day. They were very helpful, lending us a map and suggesting what path to take up to Snowdon peak and which pubs to stop off at on the way back. They are very knowledgeable about the area. The Place we better than descried. The room was big with a comfortable bed, shower and a great view of the sea. Outside in the beer garden you have beautiful view of the sea. Perfect for watching the sun go down. The neighbourhood was as expected very quite and a country vibe. Everyone knows each other and I felt very safe

  • We stayed here for one night and had a great stay. We were very welcomed right from arrival, and the hosts gave us great local information to help us with our evening and daytime plans. The room was nice and breakfast great, and the view from the window was amazing! Overlooking the sea, which we had a very nice walk on. Thank you for a lovely, enjoyable and welcoming stay.

  • I was travelling in Wales for a short break with my son. We had a lovely stay with Meirion and Karen. We arrived very late and the satnav sent us to the wrong location. I phoned from the village and Meirion immediately came out in the car to show us the way. We sat in the bar with a drink chatting to Karen and Meirion, who are lovely couple. The room was great. It had a double bed and single bed which were both really comfortable. The view towards the sea was lovely. Fresh milk for the tea, lots of towels and a robe if we'd wanted to use it were really nice homely touches. The shower was great. Cooked breakfast was very good, especially the bacon. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

A cluster of 3 farm buildings in a secluded position in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, set within 5 acres including garden, stream, picnic areas, games field, campfires and secluded beach. Designed for families sharing, sleeps 10 - 14.
Created using eco-friendly materials and techniques in a cluster of three farm buildings, Ty Coch is a modern take on the holiday home for extended families. You can book all three - the Dairy, the Cottage and the Barn - for exclusive use, and with them comes five acres of land, bordered by a beach and a stream, on which to run wild, make camp, shoot the breeze with a beer and barbecue beneath the stars. The main road is at the end of the long, gated track, so children can dash around the three cottages in safety. There are five bedrooms in total, sleeping 14 (if you want to fill the place to capacity), but each house is a self-contained unit so smaller parties won't feel lost. The focal point is the massive table in the Dairy's communal kitchen which, sensibly, has two of everything, including fridges, so everyone can get together at least once a day to swap stories over a meal. Sleep up to 10 adults + 4 children. Dogs by arrangement only.
Ty Coch has a very secluded coastal position in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Llyn Peninsula. Close to the Wales Coastal Path and cycle route and within easy reach of Snowdonia, Anglesey and south Llyn beaches. The property has uninterrupted views across Caernarfon Bay to Anglesey and Holy Island. There are no neighbouring properties. The property includes 500m pebble beach frontage (with large sandbank at low tide) good for swimming, fishing and beach-combing. The village of Clynnog Fawr, St Beuno's stunning medieval church and local shop are within easy walking along a green lane from the beach.
  • Fantastic buildings with excellent level of comfort supplied in well stocked kitchens. Ideal retreat for large groups and families within large grounds that provide many different areas to investigate and retreat to. Easy to find and local drive to shops. Beach access is the cherry on top.

  • What an incredible place. Everything is very well thought out and the quality of everything in the house is incredibly high... maybe one of the best beds I've slept in.

  • If you are after a wonderful getaway for parties or just rest and relaxation I cannot recommend this property highly enough. The property had everything you might need and more with each building having its own kitchen area lounge and bathroom. In a secluded location but very accessible from the road, the communication from Julie was quick and detailed meaning planning parties and holidays is made as easy as possible for you. The stand out feature is the beautiful scenery and the beach being a 2 minute walk from the property. We all had a wonderful time and every guest commented on how wonderful the stay was. I would not hesitate for a moment in booking again, beautiful in the summer and winter alike. A huge thank you to the host for making this a wonderful birthday celebration!

    Deborah2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic property. Absolutely beautiful views and the property is finished to a great standard. A group of 10 of us stayed, there was plenty of room for all of us in the living rooms and dining area and you had all the equipment you would need. Will definitely be staying here again.

    Sarah2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! I couldn't recommend the place more. From the moment we arrived to unfortunately having to leave we couldn't think how it could be any better. Several of our party are already working out dates when they can revisit. The cottages and surroundings are phenomenal. Just beautiful and an absolute pleasure to explore. As good as they look and sound the pictures and descriptions do not do this place justice. If you are contemplating booking just do it! On top of how amazing the accommodation and surroundings are the setup is fantastic. I had the pleasure of catering to our party for the weekend and everything is so well put together dealing with everything and everyone was a breeze. The arrival was un-manned and well planned so very smooth. Literally every detail was spot on! The only other thing to say is thank you Julie!

    Kate2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Julie!! Really is a wonderful place to stay! All 3 cottages are modern and cosy and great for hosting large parties. The large dining area offers a great place to socialise and the views from every property are stunning. Will definitely be returning at some point in the future !!

If you enjoy shopping, eating out or the beach, we are only a ten minute drive to the shop and 20 minute drive to the town of Pwllheli, and also just a 10 minute drive to the local activity centre where you can enjoy go-karting, ten pin bowling and other activities. The caravan is stylish, modern and fully equipped including television with built in freeview and a dvd player, and a gas fire. We regret we can't allow pets on the farm. Now with superfast broadband
  • Diolch yn fawr, a lovely caravan in a beautiful location. It was just what we were looking for and will definitely be recommending. Hope to return again. The pint of milk in the fridge and Welsh cakes were a lovely welcome and a good chat with you also appreciated, I just need o brush up on my Welsh :-)

  • Dafydd's caravan is great value - modern, spacious and stocked with everything we needed for a family holiday for 4. It's in a great location with easy access (by car) to many of the things on offer in North Wales. It's about a half hour drive from both Caernarfon and Porthmadog. Dafydd and his wife were also very friendly and helpful - they helped us out with a travel adaptor when we arrived. The caravan is very well set up - if you prefer a secluded rural location then I happily recommend it.

There are fantastic sea views and the sun setting off the coast of Anglesey is a sight to behold. The owner was very helpful and friendly at all stages of the booking and welcomed us to the property. • Beautiful location with view of the fields and sea. A great sized and spacious property for a large family or group. Owner friendly and easy to contact. Listings not quite as stated as there was no drier which I think was essential due to Welsh weather! Other than this we would not hesitate to go again.

  • The place is quite remote, and that is what I choose. The roads are narrow to reach there for the last mile or two. Without your own vehicle you cannot reach there unless you have a prior arrangement of a taxi. The house is located in such a place that you can see Irish sea and to the far the land of Ireland. Around this house there are couple of houses, that means we aren't alone and very quiet at the same time. Big living rooms, 4 comfortable bedrooms and 4 bathrooms which were kept very clean. The check-in and check-out was no non-sense. 10 of us stayed here for 2 nights and we all liked it. Good view of sunset from the house either from the living room downstairs or from the bedrooms in the first floor. Would love to stay here again if I happened to go near Snowdonia area. Thanks Ifor for making our stay comfortable.

  • Nice house. Well proportioned rooms. Large well fitted kitchen. However, only HAND towels provided, broken fittings in the bath/shower rooms, broken outside waste pipe that discharges onto the patio. Never saw the landlord once whilst we were there. This beautiful handcrafted wooden pod is situated on our small holding on the Llŷn Peninsula. The interior is comfortable with a super comfy bed and seating. It is tastefully decorated and is a really pleasant space and deceptively spacious. The views here are amazing and a short walk will give you a view of most of the Peninsula. There are nice local restaurants and pubs but you will need a car. Coastal path is nearby and will give access to spectacular views.
The pod itself is situated in our garden and is partially screened so it feels very private .There is a small deck where you can sit, relax and enjoy the view. The bathroom, hence the reasonably priced accomodationis in the main house ( with bath only ) but easily accessed and is just a few yards from the pod . Bath robes are supplied which makes sharing the bathroom easier. The pod itself is a lovely peaceful space. Just being in it makes you feel good .And you can wake up to the sound of songbirds. It has standard but suoer comfy double bed and seating as well as a kettle etc . The pod is only suitable for two people and could be a romantic (URL HIDDEN) opportunity to re connect with your partner .You can sit on the deck and just enjoy the view ,which won`t disappoint.
Wales is steeped in history from ancient stone huts from the iron age,old Welsh and English castles. Small ancient churches like the church in our little village, quarries, maritime history. The views are stunning wherever you look and if you have an artistic nature will supply you with plenty of inspiration. There are plenty of recreational places around us. The Marina in Pwllheli only 5 miles away. Glasfryn has quad bikes, ten pin bowling ,go karting and a wake machine. Half an hour away is the zip line which travels at speed over the old quarries .Plenty to do or just relax in peace and quiet.
  • My sister and I had a lovely 4 night stay in the Pod in Elin's garden on the Llyn Peninsula. It's the first time we've stayed in a Pod and we found it really cosy and much more spacious than than we expected. It was nice that we could make a cup of tea and relax on the armchairs after long walks on the coast. The weather was even nice enough for us to enjoy a glass of wine on the small deck with views of the countryside. Although the shared bathroom was inside the house, it was very close to the Pod so we didn't find it a problem. Elin and her husband were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed chatting to Elin each morning over a lovely breakfast of cereal and fruit, followed by a cooked breakfast. We also enjoyed being shown around the farm and meeting the beautiful Spanish horses. This little Pod was a great base to explore the beautiful Llyn Peninsula and enjoy a relaxing break. We would definitely stay here again - thank you!

  • We had a amazing stay with Elin. The pod is amazing!! It's very well decorated, warm and cozy, the bed and sofas are very comfortable. Just what one needs if trying to escape the daily routine. The pod also had milk, water, coffee, tee, so it was very nice to have a coffee/tea when we arrived. Elin's breakfasts was delicious with a good variety. I would definitely recommend Elin's pod if you're looking for a peaceful place to stay. Elin is a wonderful hostess, very friendly and hospitable. We really enjoyed meeting Elin and chatting with her. We will certainly return in the future, hopefully with a little more time to explore the peninsula. • This is the perfect retreat if you need a break to just be. Although it's secluded which is wonderful, its central to all activities. Elin is a perfect host so friendly and welcoming. A true home from home. I can't wait to return.

Medieval streets within the town walls hide curiosity shops, cafes, restaurants and now the steam trains of the Welsh Highland Railway starts it's journey from just by the castle. etc. This magnificent castle has a prominent position on the harbour side, from where boat trips are available along the coastline. For a treat, try air flights over Snowdonia from Caernarfon Airfield. Pwllheli (10ml), has a marina, craft shops and a weekly market on Wednesday. Snowdon is within 15 miles from Llanberis, where you can climb or take the train to the summit.
  • Cute and clean little cottage. Perfect for 4 friends traveling together! Good place to calm down. In the kitchen, you can see The Irish Sea and the neighbors lambfarm from the window. Aled and his wife were lovely and helpful. Only downsides were that nights were a bit cold, shops and pubs were just a little bit too far to walk, and the singlebeds are not made for long people. But definitely very beautiful place to calm down near the sea.

  • Great place, we loved it and the location

    Marcus2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Hafan, the cottage is very well equipped, it has everything you would need for your stay. We loved the beach also, and went for short walks along it of an evening. The village is near some local towns, and a short way from Snowdon, and a good benefit for us is that it is a short journey from the village of Trefor, where our relative lives. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

    Alex2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very clean and perfectly prepared for visitors. We found all we need. The description of facility and location is accurate and you can not miss it. We really enjoy the seaviews. The location is convenient in the way of exploring North Wales. The communication with Aled was clean and accurate. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

  • We enjoyed staying at Hafan a lot. The cottage is greatly located 150m from the coastline and benefits from beatiful views to the sea (west coast, so that the sunsets are admirable) and to Welsh mountains in the Snowdonia National Park. The proximity to the Conwy area and the Llyn Peninsula made it perfect starting point to many unforgettable exploring expeditions. The cottage was clean, well equipped and warm and cosy in mid August, despite strong winds coming from the Irish Sea.

  • A stunning house in a stunning location! The house is a beautiful retreat to relax in, but within easy reach of glorious beaches, walks and attractions. Linda is a very welcoming host who made us feel at home straight away and had lots of tips of places to visit.

    Sarah2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place and experience for our extended family group of 4 adults and three kids under the age of 8. It's very quiet at night, and a reasonable distance from historical sites and other things to see. The house was furnished with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the conservatory and yard space. Highly recommended.

    John2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved everything about this lovely house with its beautiful surroundings. So much space, even for 8 people. Very well equipped with books & DVDs, kitchen equipment etc. There are even wild rabbits running around in the garden. We only met Linda's sister as Linda was away. She made us feel very welcome.

    Helen2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely place to stay! The house is really spacious and extremely clean! The bedding and towels were like new. The whole place was well decorated and the kitchen well equipped with a lovely warm Aga. Plenty of seating in the kitchen, lounge and conservatory. There was ample parking for two cars and a motorhome. What could be better than sitting by a log burner whilst Storm Brian raged outside?! Great host too with immediate responses.

    murphykel12017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Another fantastic experience staying in Linda's lovely home. This is my 3rd stay here and can't recommend it highly enough. It has absolutely everything you could want, comfort, cleanliness, location and space, 10/10. The best place for a family or couples to enjoy the peace and quiet of Northern Wales with such a great host as Linda. This time we did the Zip Wire, so many adventure activities in this area. Thank you, will definitely be back again.

    Susan2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's beautiful house was perfect for our family holiday. We had 2 small children with us and she provided everything from cots to high chairs making everything so much easier. The location was great for a peaceful getaway, and Linda was on hand when we needed to ask for advice on local shops, restaurants, beaches etc. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

    Ellie2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our week here at Cefn Coch. Everything about the cottage is very well thought out, with every consideration of what a family would need. We appreciated Linda's warm welcome, as well as her welcome card, wine and basics waiting for us. We enjoyed the comfy beds, beautiful garden, fires in the conservatory, and most of all the peace & quiet of being in the countryside. After long days on the water sailing at Plas Heli, it was a perfect home from home. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Linda's fantastic holiday cottage, and should we be in N Wales again, we won't hesitate to take the opportunity of a return. Many thanks! By the way don't fail to visit the stunning coastline and fishing village of Morfa Nefyn, with a great pub! Few nice restaurants in Pwllheli and Cricceith. Plenty to do for the family, horse riding, beaches, zip wires, walking!

Beautiful Woodland hobbit/fairy/witch house Nestled away in our woodland is our new roundhouse. Built from natural materials, nearly all from the woodland around it and super insulated with gas hob and running water. Come hideaway, hibernate, nestle and nuzzle.. tend fires, read, swim in our lake, pick salad and eggs from the farm... This cabin offers the perfect place to step into a different pace, to be at one with nature, to slow down and think about what matters in the world.
The roundhouse is part of our permaculture farm and campsite and is nestled away in 40 acres woodland. It has a compost toilet nearby and there is a hot shower and regular toilet available at the farm. For sleeping it has a double bed, a sofa bed and big single bed. We will provide all bedding (but not towels). For cooking it has a double ring gas burner (and BBQ/Firepit outside), running water and a sink as well as most of the pots/pans/plates/mugs etc you could need. Its also got 12v lighting and a socket to plug in your phone (but its is truly off-grid and has no mains electricity). It is worth saying that the Roundhouse is in the woods and is about 300m from your car through the field and woods.
We are in a beautiful corner of the world, we are only 10 miles from M'nt Snowdon and only a mile to the beach, on the corner of the stunning Llynn Peninsula.
  • A wonderful place. Beautifully designed & constructed with a round window in the apex of the spiral roof & big patio windows looking into the woods. Plenty of space & comfortable beds for the 3 of us, & the woodburner kept us warm. It rains a lot in N Wales so you need wellies or boots for the walk to car / shower, but great views of the sea on the way

    dawn2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • A slice of heaven, beautiful Welsh countryside and coast, space to relax, unwind and reconnect. Our stay in the roundhouse was truly magical and we are already planning our next visit. Huge thank you to Matt and Jenny and girls for all they do.

  • We had a great couple of nights in the woodland fairy house, it is in an amazing location and has everything you need. Matt is very helpful, and makes it a very relaxing stay. The children and dogs thought it was wonderful!

  • A very unique place. Matt and Jennifer have an amazing place and are doing wonderful things there. The kids were straight into building dens and we spent one day just wandering around through the woodland and over streams and fields. Close to Caernarfon for a nice day out too. The hobbit house is very magical and we will definitely be back!

  • What a magical experience it was for us as a family staying in the hobbit house, breath taking location. Felt like we went back in time waking up to bird songs and cozy fires. The children were entertained searching out bugs in the woods, collecting eggs from the chickens and seeing the farm animals. Matt was a great host very friendly helping us with our bags on arrival as we arrived with a storm! We will be recommending for sure.

Get away from it all! Beautiful location with absolutely stunning sea views.. and sunsets. Great secluded privacy and country side. Beach walks and friendly local people. Morawel is cosy in the winter and airy and sunny in the summer. Come and enjoy!
So Beautiful! So private! so open in the day time, so cosy at night. The views you cannot imagine! There is a double room en-suite room with a victorian style roll-top bath. Also a twin room and even a double dofa bed, so 6 can stay. We have a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and a round dining table with six chairs. There is a lovely woodburning stove and also electric radiators and wall mounted fan heaters in the bathrooms. The shower is really good! There are lovely walks along a beautiful beach. The famous Ty Coch pub is a 10 min drive away or about an hour and a half walk around the beach and headland. Be careful of the tides.
The breath taking views! The uninterrupted sunset views! The Wickwar mountains in Ireland can be seen on very clear days and sometimes silhouetted in front of the sunset. There is very little light pollution so the stars are AMAZING. Beautiful walks and beaches. The third-best-beach-bar-in-the-world 'Ty Coch' makes a wonderful lunch stop on your beach walk, in which you can visit the new life boat station, fantastic golf course and possibly spot seals or even dolphins. Aberdaron is half an hour away and well worth a visit. Ask the locals for special events happening at your time of year. Very close to Mt Snowden. The locals are really friendly and helpful. The relative remoteness makes everyone look out for each other and welcome holiday makers.
  • Everything about this place was perfect. Great communication, great views, great favourites. Cannot recommend enough

  • We had a great time in this lodge. When we arrived, everything was nicely settle to make us feel welcomed. We enjoyed the seaview and the garden after great days spent around the area : climbing up Snowdon or walking along the beaches. At nightfall, we enjoyed lighting up a fire in the stove to warm up the space and the atmospher to cook a nice meal! Very relaxing time.... Great time and great place to visit North of Wales!

Can Yr Aderyn is a beautiful long, quirky Welsh cottage at the top of the Llyn Peninsula, nestled in the hills between the coast and Snowdonia National Park. Halfway between Caernarfon and Porthmadog, it is ideally placed to visit the incredible number of beautiful spots in the great undiscovered jewel of Britiain, north Wales. The beaches nearby are breathtaking, the scenery stunning and the hamlet of Tai'n Lon is a peaceful haven. Just across the road is a public footpath into the countryside.
Can Yr Aderyn is a single-storey cottage. There is only one step inside, into the main bedroom, otherwise the only steps are a few up to the garden so it is good for those with limited mobility. The house oozes character and charm with 2-foot thick rustic walls and quarry tiles throughout. It is centrally heated and has a log burner in the lounge. We only use 100% cotton bedding.
Tai'n Lon is a beautiful quiet hamlet tucked away in a sheltered spot with very little traffic, surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside.

Towels and bed linen is supplyed. This is a well thought out little complex.
  • From the moment we arrived we were made extremely welcome. We had a tour of the accommodation to make sure we knew where everything was and we were so impressed. Everything is so well planned, of such high quality and finished beautifully. The location and views are amazing. We visited to study at the Welsh language centre, Nant Gwrtheyrn a short distance away and this made for a very comfortable retreat at the end of a full day of study. Highly recommend this lovely place and we intend to visit again ourselves.

  • The cottage is in a tucked away area with the conservatory looking at the sea side - great for sunset watching. Plenty of space in the kitchen and lounge as well as outside. Directions given by Ifor were great and we were able to find it easily. Overall great experience.

  • Lovely stay, sadly for just one night. Everything is as described. The location, looking out over the sea, is stunning and highly recommended. Ifor responded to queries very promptly. Diolch yn fawr.

  • Fantastic location, great accommodation. Secluded and nothing really in short walking distance but this is what we wanted! The hosting by Julie was excellent and lots of little extras such as packs for the kids (which they loved) and welcome hamper made the stay feel really special. Thanks for having us!

A real opportunity to experience country life in a truly stunning location . During the winter months you have a wing of the house to yourself including private entrance large spacious bedroom and bathroom and lobby. Beautiful bedroom with a vaulted ceiling in a traditional Welsh cottage .A stone`s throw from the coastal path and secluded beaches and one of the finest examples of iron age huts .Stunning views and real Welsh rural culture. ....and breakfast.
Our place is on the edge of the Lleyn Peninsula in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with beaches, mountains and a coastal path at our doorstep. A small working farm and Spanish horse stud you will experience real country life. There are local restaurants and plenty of history to see, great walks and art galleries but you will need a car to visit them. Breath taking views wherever you turn. Your room has a king size bed and it`s own entrance , a wood burner ,wooden floor, high ceilings and plenty of character. Plus breakfast. The bathroom is private from October to March as is your part of the house, including private entrance (with keysafe) spacious lobby therefore the price doesnt change in the winter. The bathroom is shared during end of March to September, hence the very reasonable price in what is a really comfortable room and at the moment bath only . We supply bathrobes to make the sharing a bit more convenient. The room is comfortable and peaceful and because it`s at the end of our house with it`s own access . The lovely vaulted ceiling creates a really airy and relaxing space and you are sure to have a really pleasant night`s sleep. There`s a comfortable, large sofa to relax and a lovely wood burner which warms the room and adds a homely, pleasant scene.( There will be logs ready in the room and we can supply you with more at a reasonable price.) It just makes the room special and cosy. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room. A traditional Welsh Breakfast is included as well as fresh fruit cereals and breads .(We have been awarded a rating of 5 (very good) by the food standards agency) If you`re a horse owner and want to bring your horse on holiday with you ,we can accommodate your horse either in our American barn or traditional stables .Haylage, bedding on rubber matting are in the package. Just get in touch for more info. You have access to parking next to your room . If you want to meet the horses or any other farm animals ,just ask, but we do ask you not to visit them on your own for your safety. Our dogs are friendly but they do like their own space. We respect this and we hope you will do the same. You can sit out in our garden and enjoy the amazing view and listen to the quiet of the countryside only disturbed by animal noises and the odd tractor and a wide variety of little birds. The fields are where the animals live .That`s their relaxing space and we ask you not to go into them .There are plenty of places to walk all around us as well as our own mountain. Check out the photos for a taste of what our location has to offer. We think you`ll like it.. We love where we live and feel we are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the world. We hope we can give you a taste of Welsh hospitality and culture. We are more than willing to supply you with information about places to visit, walks, restaurants and pubs, beaches ,local sailing facilities etc. and as a Welsh speaker can give you tips on pronunciation and Welsh culture if you`re interested. If there`s something we don`t know we`ll find out for you. Just ask.We really do hope you`ll enjoy our home. We live in a very quiet area but we`re not too far from villages and towns. There are stunning views . I often wonder at the beauty of the scenery even though I have lived here most of my life. It never fails to impress me. There are plenty of walks here but a car is necessary to visit town, restaurants ,pubs etc. At our place you will experience real country living on a working stud and farm. We love where we live and are glad to share it with others, as we realise we are very fortunate to live in such a special place. We care and respect the animals we own and appreciate others doing likewise .If you`re interested in our animals we are more than glad to introduce you to them but please remember you must be accompanied.
This is a very rural and quiet area and very Welsh. On the Lleyn most people speak Welsh as their first language but we are all fluent in English.
  • Elin is a wonderful host, and the room is fantastic - warm, comfortable and homely. The location is amazing too - you are a 5-10 minute drive to pristine beaches and surrounded by beautiful hills and country side. You will have a great stay!

  • Brilliant space with a very welcoming host, and a great location making a fantastic stay.

    Robert2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Elin was amazingly friendly and helpful...the perfect host ! Our room was immaculately clean, very comfortable, and tastefully furnished with interesting art and antiques. The Llyn peninsula was stunning and we are are very much looking forward to staying with Elin again in the future, so that we have time to explore properly.

  • Lovely welcoming host. She was very thoughtful with attention to detail - eg fresh flowers in the room, and fresh milk and cooled water renewed frequently. Very clean and peaceful place.

  • Elin's place is absolutely gorgeous and the pictures don't do it justice. The room is super sweet and the bed is amazingly comfortable - tea, coffee, fresh milk, sweets and water all provided. Sadly it was too warm during our stay to use the log burner in the room but I can imagine it is very cosy when it is on! Elin and Bo are charming hosts - giving us loads of tips and suggestions for things to see and places to eat locally - in addition to the information on the listing there is a handmade book with maps and instructions for local beaches etc. Our attention was also taken by some of the art on the walls and Elin directed us to a local gallery. A wonderful breakfast is included in the price of your stay, fresh fruit, cereals and a cooked breakfast all on offer. All in all we highly recommend Elin & Bo's place for a relaxing stay - we only wish we'd had more nights there!

    Laura2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place. The first thing you see driving up is horses and stables, and the first thing you might hear in the morning is a cow saying hello. Elin is a warm and wonderful host and we felt totally at home. The room is beautifully decorated and bright, and cosy at night with your own fire stove. A great bed for a great sleep, and a thoughtful breakfast with lots of selection (which is nice since I can't eat gluten or dairy.) We already want to come back!

    Jen2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great host and great spot!! Would definitely recommend a weekend (or longer) at Elin's place. Room was really cosy with a wood burner fireplace and Elin was really helpful for suggestions of activities and great local food!

    Suzy2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Elin is a lovely host, very kind and welcoming. The house is in a remote, calm part of the coast, so we had a good rest. The room is large and has everything you might need, including access to a bathroom with a bathtub. Besides, the breakfast was fabulous so we definitely recommend staying with Elin!
