Truro Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Truro

Everything has been painted a bright, clean white. For added colour, orange has been used as a highlight. The room is light and airy and large enough that you will feel you have plenty of space.
We are fortunate to live in a beautiful house in the heart of the cathedral city of Truro. In one of the most sought after residential streets in Truro (peaceful yet 3 minutes walk from the city centre) the house is too large for me now that my children have left home. Your space was purpose built as an annexe and has every mod con including your own front door, so you are private and independent, although I'm "next door" if you need anything.
Truro is a fantastic city. The cathedral is well worth a look and the shopping is excellent. Several large stores have their flagship shops in Truro and there are numerous great places to eat and go out. Central in Cornwall you can get to anywhere quickly including The Eden Project; Falmouth; Hall for Cornwall etc.
  • Fantastic location and such a lovely little place!!!

  • It looks just like the picture! Very clean and bright and comfortable. Angeline was an excellent host, attentive without being intrusive. I was working and needed space to write a report in the evening, and it was the perfect place. And such a comfortable bed. It all worked out very well, with very generous breakfast items in the room.

  • I would highly recommend staying here if you're from out of town, it's incredibly close to one of the main streets of Truro and just walking distance from shops and restaurants. It is also in a prefect location if you're worried about noise, with quiet neighbours on both sides and a very low traffic volume down the street. Conditions of the place were impeccable and Angeline is an incredibly friendly and accomodating host. I look forward to my next stay!

    Jadryn2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Angeline's an excellent host...not too intrusive but there if you need anything.Lovely accomodation and close to all amenities in a quiet area. Would certainly stay again.thanks Angeline.

  • Perfect location for town amenities and short drives to beaches and tourist hot spots. A clean, well presented room with convenient breakfast. Super comfy bed and soft bedsheets and towels. Car park ideal in your door step. Thanks for having us Angeline.

    Glendon2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The rooms were beautiful and had everything you could possibly need. Bread and cereal were provided in the room for breakfast. Angeline is a marvelous host and was prepared to go the extra mile when needed. I could not find fault with my stay.

    Tracy2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We spent four wonderful days in Truro and were so lucky to have a host like that. Angeline is very helpful and friendly. The room was very, very clean, the bathroom too. The room has a very comfortable double bed and is nicely furnished. Breakfast could be eaten whenever we wanted as we had everything in the room, so we were flexible. The house is situated in a quiet street very close to the city centre. There was a very nice welcome pack with towels, cookies and a folder with information on Truro.

  • Bright and cheerful room with wet room attached. Friendly but unintrusive host. Ample provision for breakfast. Comfortable bed, but breakfast table a bit small... Good base for visiting the area, and welcome folder provided lots of useful information. Possibly not suitable for travellers with muddy boots and rucksacks.

A gorgeous, bright and welcoming home in Falmouth. Perfectly placed just beyond the top of the high street, between Falmouth Town and the Royal Yacht Club. 2 minutes to the sea and close to all amenities. A fantastic base for a Cornish break. My place is close to the harbour, shops, cafes and restaurants, a park and the main town. It has a beachy seaside vibe but with the bonus of being peaceful and quiet. There are two double bedrooms, and a sofa bed in the front room to sleep six in total.
  • Our little party of three nurses looking for a little long weekend retreat in beautiful Cornwall for some R&R around my birthday... Luckily we found Gail's absolutely gorgeous house! Parking isn't too much of a problem, there's lots around in the roads and, although we didn't make use of it, apparently a place to park behind the house. We were greeted on arrival by Linda, Gail's mum, who gave us a lovely warm welcome and showed us around, as well as suggesting places to eat and things to do near-by. The town itself is only a short walk down a hill, which although isn't terribly steep - it is quite a big hill, which maybe something to take into consideration if your mobility isn't great. The house itself was beautifully presented and clean, with everything you could possibly need (minus a microwave- not an issue, but just to note in case you bring microwave popcorn like we did!!). It is a really beautiful home- the beds were super comfy, although just to note that the downstairs bedroom is slightly colder than the upstairs one. Gail provided fresh towels for the amazing rainfall-style shower - it's absolutely huge! We weren't too bothered with WiFi as we were out most of the day and quite liked a little break from our phones, but it wasn't the best connection and only really worked if you were over the kitchen sink area. We were so, so pleased with this little find and would highly recommend a stay here. Thanks Gail! (And Linda!) :)

  • We had a lovely warm welcome from Gail's dad on our arrival, as Gail was abroad at the time(URL HIDDEN)Our visit was to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from Falmouth University and the house was ideally situated for our stay. The house is delightful and just like the pictures. It’s bright, breezy and fresh, with lots of lovely books to peruse! The kitchen is well equipped and the power shower is fantastic! The beds were extremely comfortable and the décor is light and relaxed. (There is also a little grocers shop a stone’s throw from the house too ~ very useful!(URL HIDDEN) Falmouth is a wonderful town with lots of lovely independent shops as well as an array of fantastic cafes, restaurants, and delightfully quirky bars ~ Would highly recommend Gail’s seaside house.

  • This was my 1st time using air b n b, Gail made it brilliantly easy and the house was exactly as she described. Great house, light and comfortable, short walk from town centre and down a nice quiet street. Really happy customer.

    Nicholas2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Gail's place was great. It was very comfortable and convenient. It had a very nice feel to it. Communication with Gail was great-she was easy to reach and always responded quickly. The only thing I would point out is the downstairs bedroom shares a wall with the flat next door and the walls are SUPER thin-you can hear everything. Fortunately the neighbors are quiet, but every morning at around 8am I would hear them in the kitchen for breakfast. But the upstairs bedroom and living are very quiet.

    phoebe2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • A hidden gem with everything you need. Only a short walk into town. Yes a steep walk back up but that's good for you after the delights of Falmouth's varied cuisine. Thoroughly enjoyed a few days there & would definitely return. Thanks too to Linda for our lovely welcome.

    Helen2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely welcome from Linda (Gail's mum) as she was abroad at the time. Told us about places to eat and drink along with sights to see. The house is just like the picture and with a lovely big garden which was great for the dog. We had a great few days catching up with our daughter. Love Falmouth with all its shops and eateries especially lovely Dollies where we were greeted by Hebe the golden Labrador with her pearl necklace on. Lovely food and I especially loved the cocktails in the teacups. Had a great day trip to the Cornish Goldmine at Redruth. So it was lovely to come back to a house that felt like home. Thank you Gail and Linda for your hospitality. We'll be back.

    Simone2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Gail's place is lovely and we enjoyed our stay. It is central but at the top of a hill so bare that in mind. We loved the kitchen area and the huge shower!

    Sophie2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely time at Gail's place over the Easter bank holiday for a mini uni reunion. Comfortably slept 6 people in a beautiful apartment- couldn't ask for more! Communication was great and the location is ideal situated right on top of town. We had a little bit of noise from the neighbors on the first night but this was quickly resolved and no trouble for the rest of the stay. I would highly recommend Gail's place for a stop off in lovely Falmouth - We were all very sad to leave!

Situated two floors above the award winning Star & Garter, the Penthouse offers uninterrupted view over Falmouth harbour, open plan kitchen/lounge and large bedroom with ensuite. Found at the top of the high street, you are very close to the centre of town, independent shops & other activities.
We’ve carried on the pub’s heritage nautical theme throughout the two flats, and from both ‘Star’ and ‘Garter’ the views of the bay really are something to behold. What we’re very keen on is giving people the full Star & Garter experience, and that could mean waking up and nipping downstairs after a good night’s sleep for a coffee or even a cheeky Bloody Mary, and then heading out with us for some oyster shucking in the bay before enjoying the fruits of your labour and a leisurely three-course lunch in the restaurant. It could mean joining our chefs and learning how to make fresh pasta, or getting involved in a butchery lesson, as we buy all our meat whole and butcher it on site. Or it could just mean afternoon in front of the pub fire with a good book, a cheeseboard and a bottle of wine before heading back upstairs and using the open plan kitchen to cook up a feast of your own. Whatever it is you fancy doing with your time in Falmouth, we hope to see you at Star & Garter soon!
    The High street
  • The Star & Garter Penthouse was completely above and beyond what we expected from it. The view was breathtaking, and we spent many hours just staring out of the windows in the mornings. When we arrived we were met by Becca who showed us upstairs where the apartment was spotless, and some lovely fresh bread, butter, and milk had been left for us to settle in. Becca was lovely and welcoming throughout our stay, Olive the dog is gorgeous and we had a couple of drinks downstairs in the lovely pub. The apartment had a super comfortable bed, was warm and quiet at night, with great views and a perfect location. We were within easy wandering distance of the town centre that we visited a lot, and within driving distance of things like Trebah Gardens. Parking is fine too, we easily found a space in the surrounding area where we left the car with no problems. We would whole-heartedly recommend the Star & Garter, and hopefully we'll get back there soon!

    Matt2017-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent stay at the Star and Garter. A spacious and comfortable room with a wonderful view. Everything we needed was provided, including delicious flapjacks from the nearby bakery. We took a party of fifteen to the sampler dinner on a Monday and our waitress and the kitchen handled it without a glitch.

    Mary2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • I would be surprised if you didn't adore the Penthouse at Star & Garter the moment you step inside. High end decor and fittings, artworks everywhere, views that are stunning, good facilities to self cater, a massage jet bath and a supremely comfy bed. Did I mention wifi and Netflix and a pub downstairs for drinks and coffees with a classy restaurant looking out over the estuary? It has it all and you have instant access to Falmouths art shops, galleries, eateries and boat trips on the doorstep. Superb apartment and good value. James

  • This place is really amazing. The finishing and furnishing is of top quality the rooms are very large and cosy. The location is perfect, 2 min into the centre of town. We popped into the pub for the keys and we were in in less than 2 min, a personal welcome sheet was a really nice touch and the bread, milk, brew kit and brownies were very welcome. The views straight out to the estuary were amazing and with the windows open the relaxing sounds were lovely whilst having a glass. Thanks guys for a lovely stay and we will be back for sure.

  • I had a wonderful stay here in June. I received a very warm welcome from both Becca and Elliott. The apartment is all you could ask for. It is spacious with style and has all the mod cons you could wish for. The view is the real icing on the cake, not to mention the fresh homemade flapjack and brownie along with the fresh loaf of bread that welcomed me on arrival. I had a great evening in the bar and restaurant where i enjoyed some great cocktails and delicious food while listening to some live blues. I am already looking for a reason to visit again. Thanks to all at the Star and Garter.

The garden studio gave us a perfect central location to explore all that Cornwall has to offer. Fab that it also comes with free parking on the drive. Some nice pubs serving fab food & local cider within 10 mins drive. We'll surely be returning! :-)

Her husband and specially the daughter are very cute and lovely! We had phantastic two days with a lot of fun, shared interesting stories, seen wonderful self token photos and handcrafted staff and slept very well in the double sized bed. The house is near the central of Truro with a lot of great restaurants, shops, bank, town hall, museum, cathedral, cinema, viaduct, bus/train station, aso. Thank you for sewing my pants, washing and drying our clothes, helping us with all our questions and for the exciting girls-monday night yesterday in cinema! Hope to see you again and keep staying in contact!

Gaelle was most helpful in sharing the gems around Truro, and providing us everything we needed. The mattress is brand new and home is recently renovated. Our room and washroom was spotless! We truly felt at home during our stay. Truro is an adorable little town that is easy to fall in love with. We will definitely book again if we are in Cornwall. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Our attractive, modern, ground floor coastal apartment, with its own decking, for one or two guests, enjoys magnificent sea views, is a stone's throw from Perranporth's wide, golden, sandy surfing beach and is very close to village amenities. It contains everything you will need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Wi-Fi throughout. Central heating. NO cleaning fees. Parking to rear. The coastal footpath is just outside our front gate. You will never tire of the view; it will keep you spellbound.
A CHILLED BOTTLE OF PROSECCO or A CORNISH CREAM TEA FOR TWO awaits bookings of three nights or more for our stylish, ground floor, sea view apartment. We are, however, more than happy to host for just one night or, hopefully, longer. It has been furnished and equipped, for one or two guests, to ensure your stay with us is pleasurable, cosy and relaxing. The whole apartment is centrally heated, double glazed and has Wi-Fi throughout. I always clean to a high standard and don't charge a cleaning fee. We also don't charge extra for electricity or for the central heating. Located here in glorious Perranporth, Cornwall, enjoying the most incredible far reaching views, with a landscape which is constantly changing, yet we are only a stone's throw away from the beach and everything which the village has to offer - eateries, shops, bars, pubs etc. You can walk everywhere. We have provided rattan chairs, a table, and full length loungers on the apartment's decking, where you can dine alfresco, all the while drinking in the amazing view laid out before you. There is also a barbecue should you feel thus inclined, for which we supply the charcoal and firelighters. Early risers can experience a Perranporth sunrise from a decking viewpoint. We even provide picnic rugs and hot water bottles to keep you warm and toasty should you wish to sit outside when the weather turns chillier. There are windbreaks, seating and mats for the beach located in the main hall. From the decking, step through the French doors into the main living area. Here we have a large flat screen television, DVD player, dining table and two chairs, a very comfortable leather two seater recliner sofa, coffee tables and a fully equipped kitchen area. There are ample cupboards and worktop surfaces with fridge (including a small freezer compartment), microwave, electric oven, ceramic hob, toaster and kettle. The apartment is equipped with stainless steel saucepans, Pyrex dishes, white tableware, a selection of various glasses (wine/champagne/tumblers), cutlery, place-mats, tea towels and many other sundries. We have provisioned it with fresh milk, tea, instant coffee, cafetière with ground coffee, Horlicks, drinking chocolate, biscuits and condiments. Dish washing, cleaning items, bin liners, J-cloths etc are kept beneath the sink. We have also put out binoculars, board games and playing cards, and a selection of relevant books about Cornwall to keep you entertained. There are lots of leaflets in the apartment detailing Cornish attractions, including discount vouchers too, along with a set of tide tables so you can keep an eye on what the sea is doing. I am more than happy to drop off a daily newspaper for you as I always nip down to the village to get my own first thing in the morning. The apartment's main front door is located within this area. Walking through to the bedroom there is a wardrobe with plenty of hangers, lots of drawer space, bedside cabinets with matching lamps and a 4'6" double bed made up with a double duvet and attractive bed linen. In addition there is a wall mounted Smart TV with DVD player (there are some DVDs in the apartment should you wish to watch them) on which the internet can also be accessed. Additionally, there is an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, portable clothes dryer and clock/radio. The fully tiled en-suite shower room, with heated towel rail, has an excellent power shower and towels provided, along with various toiletries eg shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc. We have our own private car park to the rear of the main property. Check out is at 11am but we are more than happy for guests to leave their car for a few extra hours after this time so that they can eke out their break just a little longer before their return journey. Just ask. From our apartment you can look across to the exact spot on the cliffs opposite where Winston Graham wrote the novels Ross Poldark and Demelza in the 1940's. Of course, most of the filming for the television series Poldark takes place around Cornwall, and hereabouts. The beach is famed for its wide expanse of golden sand, which is cleaned regularly throughout most of the year. It's a tremendous walk to the other end of the beach (just watch out for the incoming tide!) or to meander along the sandy dunes. It's great for surfing, with a surf school practically on the doorstep (closed during the winter months, although there are others in the village open all year round). Lifeguards patrol the beach for your safety during the busier months. Storm watching can be wild and exciting in the winter months, especially if the tides are exceptionally high, when the beach takes on a very different character. Watch all the excitement from inside without getting cold and wet outside! Access to the coastal footpath is practically on our doorstep and it's a glorious walk to St Agnes, which is about four miles away across the cliffs. Or to Holywell Bay in the other direction. The Watering Hole, located on the beach itself, is a very popular bar/restaurant to view some of our amazing sunsets over the ocean. Perranporth Golf Club, enjoying breathtaking views up and down the coast, is one of Cornwall's finest links courses and is only a 1.4 mile drive away. Perranporth Tennis Club has six grass courts and three newly resurfaced floodlit hard courts. It is open to visitors and is only a 0.5 mile walk away from us. The nearest riding stables are just under two miles from us by road. The local doctors' surgery and Boots the Chemist are extremely close, should you require their services during your stay. The bustling cathedral city of Truro is only nine miles away (try The Heron Inn overlooking the Truro River at Malpas, which is just a couple of miles drive/walk from the City centre); the famous Eden Project 26 miles and St Ives 24 miles distant (hint: drive to Lelant then take the train right into St Ives, a very memorable scenic railway journey, albeit quite short, as driving around St Ives can be quite challenging). If you're a Doc Martin fan then why not go to Port Isaac which doubles as Portwenn in the series. We love having lunch at The Budock Vean Hotel (TR11 5LG) at Mawnan Smith, 21 miles away, followed by a walk through the beautiful grounds down to The Helford River (think Daphne du Maurier's Frenchman's Creek). Their Cornish cream afternoon teas are such a treat too: large, homemade scones, with lashings of Cornish cream and Boddington's strawberry jam, along with a selection of delicious homemade cakes. • I've stayed in half a dozen Airbnb locations over the past year, from Australia to South America and back in the U.K. This has been the best of the lot, a really good location for touring, as well as a great property.

  • "200 year old cottage, sympathetically restored, thoughtfully furnished and well maintained". That sentence describes the bones of Ancarva but just doesn't do justice to the generosity of spirit of the owners in the way they have presented and fitted out their cottage. It isnt just a standard holiday rental, you get the sense that for the owners, Ancarva is a labour of love. The cottage is well furnished, smart and spotlessly maintained. Super-comfortable beds with crisp white bed linen promise quality sleep. Big, soft, fluffy towels envelope you post-shower - even if the shower water pressure is a little on the low side. (There is a full size bath also & lots of hot water should you wish for a leisurely soak.)The owners have put considerable thought into ensuring that your every daytime need is catered for also. Oodles of board games, guide books and fiction to get you through a wet day when you have an excuse to light the log burner (lots of logs supplied) and settle in for a few hours. A really well equipped kitchen (great Sabatier knives - a treat for someone who likes to cook.) Thoughtful extras like a sewing kit and a first aid kit (lest you fall foul of those Sabatiers) and for me, best of all, a roll of sellotape, neatly tucked away in a drawer in the dresser with a notepad and pen. Why? Because we arrived late on the eve of my partners birthday and although I brought the birthday gift and gift wrap, I forgot to bring a card or some tape to wrap the gift with. Thank you Simon and Jacqui, you read my (absent) mind! Best of all though was the warmth of the welcome. Our hosts were there to greet us on arrival, show us around, make sure we had everything we needed and then left us to enjoy our holiday. But not before they had provided fresh, homemade scones with local clotted cream and strawberry jam. A wonderful and most welcome treat! This was our first visit to Cornwall, our trip felt far too short (we didn't even get to enjoy the Secret Garden this time) we can't wait to return and a large part of that pleasure will be in returning to Ancarva for a longer stay next time. Top tip; The Royal Oak Pub/Restaurant serves great food, is run by lovely people and is exactly 110 paces from Ancarva's front door(URL HIDDEN)

  • A wonderful experience in Cornwall. The perfect location if you want to be close to everything, but away from the hustle and bustle. A delightful cosy and very comfortable cottage. We stayed at the end of winter, early autumn and the wood fire was a real treat, with wood already supplied. Lots of space to cook, eat and then lounge in front of the fire with a glass of prosseco. The cottage was warm and lacked for nothing. A lovely setting in a small Cornish village complete with a little Shop and a great pub all within 5 mins walk. Simon and Jacqui are excellent hosts and thoughtfully provided a map with suggestions of places to visit and eat as well as afternoon tea and a chilled bottle of prosecco. Absolutely recommend Ancarva. We would love to visit again.

    Russ2017-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Faultless! We loved staying in this pretty little cottage. There was not one thing missing the hosts have clearly got a range of experience and have thought about every tiny detail. We thought the cream tea on arrival was a very special touch (very tasty!) The beds are so comfy and towels and bedding are of great quality. I was so surprised to see the fire had been built ready for us to light which again was really considerate. We tore ourselves away to visit St Ives, Lands end and Falmouth but always enjoyed returning home to a log fire to cuddle up and watch a DVD. the kitchen is compact and very well organised. We enjoyed a home made roast dinner and found everything we needed in the cupboards. Having previously worked as a guest relation executive for a 5* hotel I have to admit I can be very particular about cleanliness and there is not one single part of this cottage which was not perfectly clean and tidy. Upon recommendation of the host we ate in the Norway Inn which was very tasty and great service, we enjoyed the short walk to the pub and particularly our late night adventure walk back with our torch! Harbour lights fish and chips are amazing and worthy of their awards! I would recommend.

  • We found scones and cream waiting for us on arrival! The cottage is very cosy and the fireplace made it even more so, as did the secret garden. Everything we needed was there, the kitchen was very well-equipped, there even were very good kitchen knives, which was a first for us. The cottage is located in a convenient spot for all sorts of day-trips, and there's a lot to do and see in de vicinity. However, you could also simply take a walk starting from the cottage itself or stay at home and have a drink in the garden!

  • Ancarva is a beautiful cottage. It is really well decorated with the furnishings all very will suited to it. Great to have milk in the fridge and a cream tea when we arrived! The location is in a pretty little village, we found it very well located to travel all over the western end of Cornwall. We did day trips to St Ives, St Agnes, the lizard and Truro, as well as going for a walk around the Falmouth harbour. Very nice pub across the road too. Simon was very helpful and quick to respond whenever we needed. The cottage also has lots of tips in a binder and a number of local guides and walking books. All in all thought this was fantastic value, I imagine the cottage is heavily booked through the summer but I would really recommend a trip in the "off season".

    Christian2016-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • I had a fantastic stay - it is a beautiful cottage with everything you could need. The location is great - a really central base to explore all of Cornwall. The village is lovely and I can recommend the local pub, which is just over the road. I ate there by myself, the food was great and people very friendly. Simon was there to meet me and made check in really easy. The cream tea on arrival was delicious and a very welcome touch. I would definitely go back. Also, the bed was amazingly comfortable!

  • Per's place is in a quiet location which is central for visiting different areas in Cornwall and is close to stores. The setup is unusual in that the four doors ( bedroom, bathroom, and two kitchen areas ) are along the front entrance hallway of the house. This means that the owners and their boarder can pass through at any time. This means that this listing is not as private as one might think. All areas are very small but usable.

    Lynn2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Per was helpful and responded quickly to any queries. Accommodation was smaller than I had expected (not a lot of space once the bed is made into a double) but we managed fine, slept well and the location and access to central Truro was good. Nice to have a solar supply for hot water too. Parking space was trickier than expected, but all considered it suited our needs, Thanks Per.

    annie2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Truro. Everything was as described, big and comfy bed with fresh sheets, own bathroom, small kichenette enough to prepare meals. There was enough space for two people for a short stay and this was what we wanted. Per was absolutely helpful and anwered all my questions before we arrived.

  • My Girlfriend and I had a great stay. The Home is very small but has everything you need. Per and I had a little missunderstanding with the check in time, but even so we were able to manage the situation in a good way.

    Victor2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, really close to the station (take the footbridge if on foot- superquick!), very quiet, bright and clean accommodation, lovely hosts. As has been said before, this is an unusual set-up. It makes great use of the space- as you enter the house, the bathroom is off the hallway to the left and the bedroom to the right. The kitchen is actually within two opposite alcoves- fridge, hob, microwave and kettle in one alcove and the sink, utensils, bin, plates, etc in the other. Both have closeable doors, although having both open at the same time is a little awkward. One thing I hadn't realised was that the hosts use the hallway to access the front door, so I didn't feel totally at ease moving from the bedroom to the bathroom and to the kitchen in the morning, knowing that the hosts might be coming through at some point. The space was perfect for me (single bed), although I'm not quite sure how it would be extended to king-size. It's a nice little room though, and I was able to relax after cooking my tea before doing some work (there is a desk). It's a perfect location if you're visiting Cornwall Record Office as I was. All in all, it was a perfect place to stay for me, and I would definitely stay again.

    Karen2016-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • The host knows some of the people in hospital I would start working with on my second day there, so that was very helpful. They also showed me all the ways to city center, supermarket, etc.

  • We had a very pleasant stay in Cathie's house. Both her and her partner John have been really welcoming and kind to us and gave us brilliant advice on places to visit around Cornwall. If it wasn't for them we'd have forgotten to visit the beautiful Minack Theatre. The room is really beautiful with nice furniture and appliances such as a fridge, microwave and a kettle and breakfast was included. The bathroom was also modern and nice and the whole place had a really cool vibe. I would highly recommend staying here.

  • First of all we want to say a big thanks to Cathie and John for such a pleasant stay. They were very quick to reply to my messages therefore I managed to get this place a night before our arrival. The hosts were very friendly including their lovely labrador retriever (Sam) who was the very first one to welcome us the next morning. The room itself was very nice, tidy and specious. All of the breakfast ingredients provided were meat-free which was a big plus as one of us is vegetarian. The place is also convenient as it is close to a few shopping places. Overall a very satisfying experience. Very likely to be back in future.

    Greta2017-05-29T00:00:00Z

Newly renovated in August 2016. A unique and beautifully presented cabin in central Truro. Private garden, free parking and breakfast starter pack.
Completely refurbished in August 2016, the cabin is a beautifully presented wooden chalet tucked away behind a terrace of old miners' cottages in central Truro. With a comfy king sized bed, dressing table, kitchenette, bathroom with walk-in shower cubicle, indoor and outdoor dining tables and small private garden the cabin is the perfect place to base yourselves to enjoy the city of Truro and easily explore the rest of Cornwall.
The cabin is in a residential area tucked away behind a row of old terraced cottages but is just a stone's throw from the city centre (5-10 minutes walk down the hill). It is usually very peaceful here day and night as the cabin is completely detached and away from the main road. It may seem like an unconventional location when you first arrive - up a driveway and past several garages and parking spaces, however, it's really great being so close to the city but away from the noise!
  • A lovely cabin, in a great location, close to the centre of town, with a small sun terrace to chill out on too. Definitely worth a visit.

    Simon 2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was so cute and clean! The location was a perfect walking distance from the city. As the evening we stayed was chilly, we opted to stay inside and watch a movie. The intimate space was comfortable and cozy for doing just that! Chris & Emma were very pleasant and easy to deal with throughout the entire stay. We would happily stay here again!

    Caitlin2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Emma's place was exactly as described, the cabin is situated in a car park which does sound strange, just follow Chris and Emma's instructions and you will be fine, it is fenced and very private. For a short stay this cabin was perfect for exploring Cornwall. We were very grateful for the breakfast provisions as it was getting late by the time we arrived, thank you Chris and Emma for a great stay.

    Carmel2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • You may feel like you're in completely the wrong place when you arrive as you are essentially in a car parking lot with lots of peoples' garages, but it is the right place! The actual cabin is delightful - beautifully decorated and very clean, comfortable and convenient.

    Jan2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • A very well equipped cabin - very central, easy walk into Truro.

    Carys2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Chris and Emma's Cabin was perfect. Quiet and yet a short walk from Truro's centre. It is immaculately decorated and Emma was so easy to communicate with. Lovely thoughtful touches included necessities in the fridge on arrival and a selection of DVDs! A perfect bolt hole. Thank you both.

    annie2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabin is an ideal getaway for those visiting Truro. Just a 10min walk into town, and a fab pub around the corner. Emma was great at communicating directions to get there which was great as it is a little tricky. And the place was very clean and bright, done up very nicely with everything you need for a short stay.

  • Loved our stay in the cabin. Thought the welcome pack was a lovely touch. The cabin was very clean and smelt lovely. Great use of the space and plenty of room for two people for 4 nights. Great locacation to get to other towns and not far to go out to eat or shop in Truro. would love to stay here again

Our home is a bungalow tucked away in a quiet location on the edge of the city centre. Suitable for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. The property is a few minutes walk to a park and ride which serves the city centre, railway station, hospital and college. Adjacent to the park and ride is the supermarket Waitrose and The Great Cornish Food Store. If you wish to walk the city centre is 15-20 minutes away (longer back!) The Rising Sun pub is en route which has an excellent reputation for good food and a cosy atmosphere.
Private entrance to double room, king size bed with ensuite shower, toilet and basin. TV, WIFI, radio, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities. Hanging space with provided hangers. Please note this is a room only booking.
We live on the outskirts of a wonderful city in a quiet neighbourhood. Waitrose supermarket, Cornish Food Store and Dunelm store, all within a few minutes drive, 8-10 minute walk all have cafes providing breakfast should we wish to refuel before heading out for the day. Popular fish and chip shop 5 minute walk away.
  • Such a great location after a long drive down the A30, didn't have to queue getting into Truro as it's located off a side road as you arrive on the outskirts. I grabbed breakfast at the Waitrose cafe a few minutes walk down the road one morning and had croissants on the little private patio the following morning. Gill was very helpful suggesting places to go that wouldn't be rammed with tourists, perfect as it was Easter time. Private parking just outside the room was handy, as was being able to come and go without going through the main house.

    Adam2017-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Gill is a faboulous host! She advised us on a lot of restaurants and places to see during our stay in Cornwall. All of them were amazing! Gill has been always very welcoming and available to help us. The room is so so quiet and tidy. A perfect place if you want to relax. It is 20min walk from the centre but it is lovely walk being surronded by the trees, down from the hill with the cathedral as background! Thank you!!

However you are close to the pulse of town life so please expect a little audible vitality from time to time but nothing out of the ordinary. Master bedroom very comfortably sleeps two. Real bed in the living room comfortably sleeps one and can also be used as a sofa. There is plenty of space to fit in an extra blow up double bed in the kitchen/living room if required. You would need to bring one with you. The kitchen area has other basic condiments but otherwise this is a self catering listing so the kitchen is yours to cook in :-) A CAR PARKING SPACE EXCLUSIVE TO THIS PROPERTY IS AVAILABLE FOR USE ALL YEAR ROUND ON SITE. IT IS 10 METRES FROM PROPERTY. Bedroom: Double bed & king size duvet Kitchen/Living room: Single bed (real bed, not sofa bed) single duvet Bathroom: Shower, sink and toilet The living room and guest bedroom is soaked in sunlight for much of the day so feels fresh and open. The decor is tasteful, light and contemporary. It maintains warmth and dryness, not damp like some other places can be in Cornwall, but the windows open out to keep it nice and cool and mellow in the summer when needed. I have a selection of my late Grandparents paintings up in the living room and a couple of my own in the guest bedroom celebrating Cornwall's unique nature, archeology and spirit :-)
Falmouth's abundant natural beauty has inspired me, local contemporaries and great writers such as Daphne Du Maurier, for whom Frenchman's Creek, a nearby tributary of the Helford Passage inspired her work of the same name. For those who love being around, in and on the waters that surround Falmouth as much as I do this is a perfect location. Trips along the Helford Passage leave from the nearby Prince of Wales Pier which is 2-5 minutes away. Sailing courses run regularly at the Watersports Centre (5 minutes away) welcoming newbies and seasoned sailors alike. The walk along the coast path from popular Gyllyngvase Beach (15 minutes away) winds round to the charming family fave Swanpool Beach, then on past more secluded spots to mellow Maenporth and yonder to sublime alpine wooded Durgan Village & Beach on the Helford Passage. Take a picnic or for something more fancy try Trebah gardens for a lush lunch. Considering it's size there is wonderful creative diversity here. From experimental music made entirely from DIY instruments to trad Celtic folk, rock, punk, indie, gypsy, balkan, ska, funk, reggae or blues, there is something on offer every night. For rainy days the local aquarium (5 minutes away) is a star attraction, raising awareness of the wonderful life in or local waters; educating regarding conservation while remaining fascinating and fun. Otherwise catch a film at the Pheonix Cinema on the moor (5 minutes away), or for some more unusual titles try the Poly Arts Centre (5 minutes away). There are no big stores around here, but if you like something more unique and quirky try some of the shops on the High Street. The Natural Store sells lush nibbles, Sheikyerbooty sells beautiful bohemian and alternative clothing and there are nice vintage and antique vendors too.
  • Lovely flat, very clean and comfortable, amazing shower, thanks for a great stay Aira!

    Barney2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Falmouth in Aira's apartment was great. Perhaps helped by the good weather but a very relaxing week.

    Ardina2014-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really great stay here. Aira's flat is exactly as described: warm and light, a perfect location in town, and has a very useful parking space 1 minute away. We didn't actually get to meet Aira as we arrived late, but her directions and tips were spot on, we had occasional communication by text, and we felt very welcomed by her. Also great value for Falmouth. We would love to come back in spring or summer.

    Jon2015-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Aira's place. It's central, modern and had everything we needed. Aira was easy to communicate with - thanks!

    Anna2017-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was a very tight squeeze for 3 adults. The ‘second bedroom’ is in fact a bed in the small living/kitchen room. It would have been helpful for Aira to meet us at the apt as it was very difficult to find it by ourselves, and took us even longer to find the parking space which was at the opposite end of the street and not marked - the whole process took us over 15 minutes. If you have a large car this is not the place for you as the parking is incredibly tight. The place itself was fine, and a great location.

    Mark2015-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our brief stay - very comfortable, clean and quiet. Aira was very helpful, even when we lost the directions! We would certainly return again.

    Tim2016-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great little flat that was very handy for town. Clean and comfortable. Would also recommend the Beerwolf pub nearby.

    David2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is in a great area, really handy to walks and the beaches, as well as the charming Falmouth High Street. The flat itself was clean and well presented, a very comfortable place to stay the night, would definitely recommend.

A detached characterful cottage in a tranquil location but only a short walk from a good pub and village shop. Centrally located in Cornwall, it has lovely country views and is on a footpath leading to Perranporth & its famous beach 2 miles away.
Ramblers' Cottage was updated in 2015 with all new oak furniture and appliances. It has been freshly re-decorated and now has a comfortable, modern but country décor. It has one large double bedroom with a double bed, making it ideal for couples. There is an upstairs shower room with heated towel rail and a sizeable lounge and well equipped kitchen/diner downstairs. There is also a store room attached to the cottage that can be used to store bicycles and surf gear. The cottage retains its rustic origins with beams and posts throughout, carpeted upstairs and with a slate floor in the lounge. All of the windows are double glazed. Entertainment equipment includes a Bluetooth sound system, 32" TV, a Blu-ray player and fibre-optic broadband suitable for video calls and movie downloads. For those who prefer lower-tech entertainment, a selection of books, board games and puzzles are provided. The cottage has it's own garden with far-reaching views over the Cornish countryside. Teak garden furniture, two sunloungers and a Weber BBQ (with firelighters and charcoal) are provided.
The Cottage is wonderfully located in a beautiful rural setting, but easily accessible to all that Cornwall has to offer. It is a few hundred metres from the centre of Goonhavern, which has an excellent pub/restaurant, convenience store, café, vegetable and pet shop as well as a hair and beauty salon. The coastal resort of Perranporth, with its wonderful 3 mile long sandy beach, famous for its surf, is only 2 miles away, and if desired can be accessed directly from the cottage via a public footpath. Perranporth has multiple shops, pubs, restaurants, a bank, pharmacy and doctors surgery and a lovely traditional family seaside feel. The South West Coastal Path can be accessed from Perranporth giving walkers access to miles of wonderful coastal views, secluded bays and small coastal towns. Horse riding, golf, surfing, and fishing are all available locally and there are many local pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Further afield, the cathedral city of Truro is 10 miles away, the famous Eden Project is 20 miles away and Lands End is 36 miles away. There are hundreds of beaches, fishing villages, coves and tin mines each reflecting the uniqueness of Cornwall. You can even visit the film locations for the recent BBC Poldark series ( the author of which lived in Perranporth).
  • Really nice cottage for the 2 of us and our dog. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely secure garden - ideal to sit out in and eat or relax. Good location to drive out and see the local attractions. Very well equipped cottage. It even had access to Netflix! Would highly recommend.

    Donna2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a glorious stay at Ramblers cottage, perfect size for 2 people and a dog with a sun trap for a garden. The cottage had everything you needed with lots of nice extras and a very comfortable bed. It was a decent walk into Perranporth (30 mins ish) along dog friendly lanes with some pretty views along the way. Plenty of dog friendly eateries but in the height of summer it is advisable to book a table at some. Deb and Colin were non intrusive hosts who were very friendly and available and assured our comfort and any additional needs were met. Ideal rental for walkers who like peace and quiet to relax and drink wine with a fabulous view. Thanks

    Gail2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful week away in a beautiful cosy cottage. We were given a warm welcome and made to feel right at home. Deb and Colin have really thought of everything and we will definitely be coming back in the future!

    michelle2015-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ramblers Cottage. A positive experience from the outset with prompt communication from the hosts and a very warm welcome upon arrival. The property itself was warm, cosy and beautifully decorated - it felt like a home from home. We were provided with everything that we needed including a fully equipped kitchen and fresh local eggs, and the cottage was cleaned to a high standard. The location itself was perfect, situated only a short drive to Perranporth or Newquay, and within an hour's reach of Padstow and St Ives. We would definitely recommend to others and hope to return in the future. Thank you for having us!

    Gemma2015-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the cottage. Deb and colin were wonderful hosts and couldn't be more helpful. The cottage was nice and clean with a very comfortable bed! Great central location as well to visit all the places in Cornwall you'll want to go to. Nice and peaceful also, so a great place to stay and recharge your batteries.

    Shane2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfectly situated near the most amazing beach on earth, this bijou residence, together with its more-than-welcoming hosts (I didn't even know ducks laid eggs!), made prisoners of our hearts in a kind of captivating bubble-wrap of warmth we didn't want to pop. Nothing was wrong except the wrench of leaving.

    Andrzej2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Deborah and Colin are very welcoming hosts, they met us on arrival and explained everything. They clearly thought through lots of little details people need to get settled quickly (i.e. some basic groceries, tips on places to shop, eat and visit, maps of local walks etc) and other nice things (barbeque, games, DVDs, books and CDs with very good choice of music). We really enjoyed spending time in the garden (sunbathing and dinners). Location is just perfect, local towns are within 10-15mins drive (Perranporth for surfing), St.Agnes for pictures, walks by the heritage coast and very nice art studios and shops) and takes 15-30mins to get to a lot of different good places (e.g. Padstow for Camel trail, St. Ives for wide beach with calm water, Eden Project...). There is a lovely 30 mins walk from the cottage to Perranporth beach via footpaths. They also have 2 lovely dogs! Overall, our stay was excellent and we would highly recommend!!!

    Garrie2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Deborah and Colin were such a warm and wonderful couple, nothing was to much trouble . All the information we needed to see cornwall. There were special extra touches in the cottage that made us fill as if we were at home. and we were made so welcome and had tea milk and fresh duck eggs on arrival, yum yum. Will be going again without any doubt. Thank you for a wonderful break away from the city noise and stress. Regards and many thanks Sue and Eddie

A newly decorated, light and spacious two bedroom end of terrace house with views over the estuary towards the village of Flushing and Falmouth harbour. The house has been recently refurbished to a modern but tasteful finish and boasts an upper deck with stunning views. Located in a quiet area but conveniently placed just a short walk away from Falmouth town centre. The property offers off street parking available for one car and is ideal for a relaxing get away or business trip.
When staying here, you have the best of both worlds. You can easily dip into the vibrant town centre with its multiple options of places to eat and drink, or choose to relax at home in the relative peace and quiet. If the weather is nice, the deck is a lovely place to sit outside and enjoy the views over to Flushing.
There are some lovely amenities to enhance your stay just on the doorstep. With a short wander down the beautiful High Street you will find freshly baked breads, cakes, pastries and savory tarts in Stones Bakery; Great coffee in Espressini on the Moor; And many more restaurants, cafes and bars to choose from. One of the nearest pubs to you is the Star and Garter, which has great views out over the Estury, and a great menu and live music. If you love seafood, one of my favourites is the Wheelhouse. Be sure to call a book to avoid disappointment, it’s a popular choice! If you would prefer to relax at home and cook, there is a Sainsburys supermarket a five minute drive away, or the nearest supermarket to walk to is the Tesco Metro in the centre of town. The nearest shop if you just need to grab some milk or bread is a Londis which is found by walking left out of the front door to the end of Meadowbank Road, and then taking a right and walking up the hill.
  • Was very happy staying in this very comfortable home for a couple of nights. It's a lovely place and just a short walk to some great cafes and bakeries. The view of the harbour is wonderful.

The bed was very comfortable, with nice views into the scenic garden and fields. Nice little added touches from grounded coffee to cereal, fresh fruits and yogurts. A lovely hot shower and spacious bath. Do take note of all the recommendations of theirs, as they are spot on. We would love to stay again. Emma & Ross

  • Sue and Geoff's annexe is the perfect place to stay when visiting the area of the Roseland Penninsula. It is the perfect location to access the beaches, coastal walks and great places to eat! The annexe is tucked way at the back of the house looking out on apple trees, a beautiful garden, fields and geese flying over head in the evenings. Sue and Geoff thought of everything to make our stay a really great experience. Breakfast was supplied in the fridge and topped up every day. Geoff made us fresh bread and one night when we were having a BBQ Sue brought us candles round to make it extra romantic! My husband and I were after a relaxed weekend with no hassle and this is exactly what we got! Also if you stay for more than 2 nights, you get a glass of wine on arrival!! We would definitely stay here again and I have already recommended the place to my in-laws!

    Lizzie2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sue and Geoff are most welcoming hosts who made sure we were all settled in with explanations and provisions for breakfast etc., but gave us all the privacy thereafter. They have a good local knowledge which comes in handy as their cottage is very much off the beaten track. It was only a short stroll to the local pub though where we had more hospitality and some very nice food. Our accommodation was as described - very spacious living area with private bathroom off (shower a bit basic) and open stairs to mezzanine with comfy bed. It was lovely waking up to the view from the window opposite the mezzanine. The accommodation is at the back of the original cottage with french doors opening onto a private seating area. This overlooks a beautiful garden with many impressive architectural flowers and a large vegetable plot, with chickens that occasionally appeared, lots of bird sounds from the various trees around, and views to the fields beyond with sheep, cows and horses. I had no need for any other sounds but our accommodation had various music equipment and even a TV. Geoff will signpost you to the farm fence where you can pick up a mobile phone signal, which adds to the charm of the place. Wifi worked perfect though. All in all we had a most comfortable and enjoyable stay.

    Sylvia2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very relaxing and beautiful place to stay Geoff and sue can't do enough for you plus there's a lovely pub within walking distance with very welcoming owners with great food highly recommended for a pieceful retreat with plenty of walks and beautiful places to visit

  • What a lovely, peaceful place to stay. Comfortable and cosy and in a beautiful spot. Geoff and Sue were the perfect hosts.. friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The local pub (150yards away) lived up to its reputation for great food and the accommodation provided the perfect location to explore the roseland. We would love to return and would not hesitate to recommend Geoff and Sue and their lovely hideaway.

    Jamie2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful time staying in Sue and Geoff pretty hamlet. Such a warm and friendly couple. Very impressed with their local knowledge and recommendations. They were both above and beyond accommodating and helpful. Their Anex is spacious and bright, and tastefully furnished, opening onto their beautiful garden. Set in the Roseland it is a great location to explore Cornwall.

    Holly2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Sue and Geoff cottage is set in a lovely location and well equipped inside. Perfect for a quiet weekend for 2! While Sue was away Geoff was a fantastic host and provided all the information needed when we arrived and also kindly booked fore us table in local pub( 2 minutes walk). We had a brilliant time, made even better as we were so lucky with such good weather!

    Olga2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Sue and Geoff were fantastic hosts and they clearly put a lot of thought into setting up their annex. It is an airy bright room, with the bed on a mezzanine, overlooking their lovely garden. It was a pleasure to stay there.

The beautiful Apple Store is a 15 minute walk to the beach and breathtaking coastal walks. St Agnes is a very cool neighbourhood with great restaurants, pubs, cafes, a park, art galleries and plenty of shops, all a short walk away. The Apple Store has a super comfy bed, wifi, Nespresso coffee machine, wood burner and a basket of goodies to welcome you. We are best suited to couples, solo adventurers, business travellers and well behaved furry friends (of the dog variety).
The Apple Store has a super comfy bed with pure French linen bedding. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine, wifi, TV and a wood burner to keep you cosy during colder months. We provide Cowshed toiletries, super soft towels, and a basket of goodies to welcome you. You have your own entrance gate to the property and are free to come and go as you please. There is an outside table and chairs and a fire pit to keep you warm under the stars or to use as a barbecue. We provide some logs to get you started but can supply more for a small additional cost. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Please discuss this with us when booking. We really want to make your stay as relaxing and lovely as possible so please let us know if there's anything we can do to ensure this happens.
St Agnes is one of our favourite spots in Cornwall (although we are probably biased). It always feels buzzy, even in the depths of winter. There are some great places to eat and drink and you'll find everyone is super friendly. Particular favourites are the Sorting Office for fabulous coffee, Schooners for breathtaking views and fantastic food (both brunch and dinner), the Taphouse for good food and fab atmosphere, the Aggie for a great cooked breakfast and the Driftwood Spars for a good night at the pub. Trevaunance Cove is a great beach to have as our local. We are only 15 minutes' walk away and you can surf, kayak, swim and walk your dogs all year round. There are so many other amazing beaches nearby including Chapel Porth and Porthtowan (with the fabulous Blue Bar being the most wonderful spot to have a cocktail (or pint) and watch the sunset). Perranporth (about 5 miles away) is another great dogwalking beach, particularly out of season when you can sometimes have the entire 2.5 miles almost to yourself! We are also only 8 miles from Truro which offers some great shopping, a beautiful cathedral and some good dining options.
  • Gorgeous set up perfect for a couple's getaway. Beautiful decor and atmosphere plus comfiest bed ever! Lovely beach and really fun to explore cliff walks, caves and rock pools. It was nice to learn a little history of the place too. We ate dinner at Schooners on the beach front which was divine. Definitely coming to stay here again!

  • Fabulous place of Cornish heaven and Lucy was fantastic with the contact and recommendations with places to go. The studio is cute and everything that you would need for a short weekend away. There was a welcome basket with delightful goodies. Close to the town and local enough to go and have dinner out and walk back. All in all it was perfect.

    Jesse2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful and so thoughtful place to stay in St Agnes. Lucy is a lovely host!

    Lucie2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic hidden gem. Self check in on arrival was easy, and the outside of this studio does not do it justice!! Inside awaits a stunning cottage style room with a spacious bathroom! They say that the devil is in the detail and Lucy has the detail spot on. From the welcome basket and tea and coffee making machines to the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the bathroom. I would have no hesitation recommending Lucy's studio to anyone! The dogs were a hit too!! If you are going this way for a Car Chase Heroes experience, stay overnight and have a wander around the area. We most certainly will be returning in the future. Maybe in the winter to make use the log burner. Barry and Helen.

    Barry2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • A great little gem for a couple. Well appointed, very tasteful, very comfortable, great hosts and St Agnes is a great place to discover this beautiful part of the country.

  • First class accomodation and highly recommended! Toiletries are first class. Welcome box was a really nice touch after a 9hr journey. Highly recommended.

    Jamie2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • A cosy cabin a lovely village, we loved staying at the Apple Store and being so near the beach and a few mins into St Agnes was great!

    Ellen2017-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • My tip would be, follow the AirBnB postcode link, don't just go by the directions. We got slightly lost and St Agnes is small and not the easiest to drive around. But Lucy kindly came out to find us and got us settled in. The place is small but cosy and well-appointed with a better shower than I have at home. We loved the basket of goodies - such a sweet and useful touch.

  • Lovely stay at White Horses. View was fantastic and we had everything we needed. Gordon and Jill left home made scones with clotted cream and jam and a bottle of wine; all of which was welcome after a very long drive from the North! Gordon was very helpful and kind and replied swiftly to any communication.

    Michelle2015-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at White Horses. The accommodation couldn't be better presented or equipped and the Gordon and Jill could not have been friendlier or more helpful. We were thrilled with our stay.

    Andrew2015-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Gordon is a great host and we enjoyed our trip to Perranporth lots! A great place to stay.

    Tom2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay here for a week. Characterful property, which was a good base from which to explore Cornwall. The sea view from the lounge is great, and imagine it would be stunning in the summer. The cottage had everything we needed for a week and made for a very quiet and relaxing week. Gordon communicated regularly in the build up to our arrival and although he was away at the time his friend was around and made sure we had everything we needed.

    Mark2016-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was great. Lovely flat in all aspects and in all rooms, and the hosts were great too. Thank you having for us.

    Stephen2015-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant location on the cliff tops above perranporth. Gordon and Jill were very welcoming on arrival to the well-equipped, delightfully cosy cottage, but we felt privacy to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Perfect base to enjoy beautiful Cornwall.

    Sam2017-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Gordon and Jill were welcoming, but not intrusive. The house is in a beautiful location overlooking perranport. The outdoor space is wonderful and matched by the thoughtfully decorated interior, makes you feel right at home. A great week had by us both.

    Paul2015-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Gordon, Jill & Daisy the cat were all very welcoming. The apartment was lovely. We enjoyed having a BBQ on the deck overlooking the countryside & ocean, and loved relaxing in front of the wood fire at night. Perranporth has a beautiful wide, sandy beach ( we had lunch at a great restaurant/bar right on the beach) and is a perfect location for day trips all over Cornwall.

  • We had a great time, Rob is a super host with a good (British ) sense of humour. We felt at home, breakfast is great, many opportunities to speak with other guests. Rob provided us with interesting information and tips for our trip. The ensuite room was nice and we could also use 2 other shared bathrooms. We enjoyed the house and the company very much. It is 5 minutes walk from Truro center and we could park the car in front of the house. Many thanks

My home is a modern town house in a quiet cul de sac within easy walking distance to public transport, the city centre, shops, restaurants and nightlife. Its also only a short drive to both the north and south Cornish coasts. The cathedral city of Truro is a great place to base yourself for exploring beautiful Cornwall and is also a super place to explore with its cobbled streets and lovely selection of shops and restaurants. As a vegetarian myself, I serve delicious non meat breakfasts.
Within 10 minutes easy walk to the city centre with its lovely shops, bars, museum and river trips and easy access to the beautiful south and north Cornish coasts.
The friendly neighbourhood is quiet as it is out of the city centre and away from any main roads.
  • We have a very friendly host with you and the communication was perfect. The room are very nice. We loved it

  • Lovely accommodation. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable & peaceful. Totally private room with ensuite on top floor. Breakfast was lovely. Nearby convenient parking. Thank you Debbie

    Jane2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie was a fantastic host! Our stay was a lovely experience, in a beautiful room with an extremely helpful host! Made our trip to Truro seamless and easy.

    Charlotte2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • I can honestly say that this is the best Airbnb experience my boyfriend and I ever had. Debbie is an amazing host. In many ways it is like staying at a really nice hotel. The room is great - very spacious, clean and private. Debbie serves a great hot vegetarian breakfast and her mushrooms and poached eggs on toast can challenge even the best hotel breakfast. All in all we REALLY enjoyed our stay and we will definitely come back if we ever go back to Truro. The city in itself is not the most spectacular in beautiful Cornwall, but it is the perfect base for exploring Cornwall since it is located almost in the middle. It is truly a great place to stay. We highly recommend it.

    Thea2016-08-01T00:00:00Z

  • The room in Debbie's house is large, very clean and tidy with fab ensuite. It is easy walking distance from the centre of Truro and in a quiet neighbourhood. Debbie was really generous and helpful in advance of my stay going beyond what I expected, helping me with my plans and even offering to pick me up from the train station. When my travel arrangements went wrong on the day, she helped and accommodated me. She is a wonderful host with a lovely place to stay. Thoroughly recommend.

  • Good sized room, comfortable bed, powerful shower, all round a good place to stay. The only two issues I had were that I was made to remove my shoes and leave them downstairs in their hallway, I didn't mind taking them off but would have rather taken them with me and kept them in my room. The other thing is that the house is very modern and like many others is not very well sound-proofed, so you hear quite a bit of noise from their lively family while you are in the room. It was not unpleasant, but other people staying might want to consider this.

On my final night they made me some Pakistani food which was delicious and helped me at every moment possible. I highly recommend the room.

We were taking part in the Atlantic Coast challenge so left early and returned later, but the whole family made us feel so welcome. The room we stayed in was big, clean, had an en suite and was private. I would definitely stay there again!! Thank you so much!!

  • Iwona is a fantastic host, very good communication before we arrived and attentive whilst we were there. Her home is a cute cottage in a great location - an easy walk into the centre of Truro. Thanks for a nice trip.

    Christian2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Iwona's place was cosy and unfussy which suited my needs. Iwona greeted me with a lovely warm welcome and did everything she could to ensure I felt at home. Amenities are basic but everything was where you would expect it to be. Free Wifi was offered although I did not need to use it. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would recommend and book to stay with Iwona and her partner again. Thank you.

    Dan2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Iwona and her partner Dom were the best host out of all of my Airbnb trips. They took care of really small things like notes for your breakfast to note with an umbrella for the rains, and you would even get a delicious treat from Dom's kitchen :p. They are lovely people and i enjoyed my time there and I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for not just a host but a really good company at home too. The location was really good with an amazing view of the cathedral from the backyard. It is definitely a Go Go place and i look forward for my next trip to Truro with them.

    Deep2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very peaceful location and short though hilly walk to town

    Penny2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The house is really small and access by car is difficult.

    Gaby2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The bedroom was a little small but cosy with plenty of storage space. The bathroom was a little worn but everything worked. On the whole Iwona's place is a typical Truro terraced cottage. It is modest and has a lived-in feel. Remember this is someone's home and not a five-star hotel. Iwona herself is very welcoming, friendly and hospitable. We very much enjoyed our stay and would return.

    KATHARINE2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Iwona and Dom are lovely hosts! We arrived when they were out but there was a nice note to greet us, then when they did arrive back, Iwona told us to make ourselves at home. We'd been on a very wet cycle to get there so she kindly offered to put on the heating to keep us warm, then when we set off again in the morning she stocked us up with some chocolate treats. Ideal stop over for our cycling trip!

    sarah2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Iwona and Dom in their home was just like staying with good friends. They were both very welcoming and asked us to treat their house like our own. We had everything we needed in terms of comforts and facilities but more than that they invited us to sit with them have a beer and a chat and we really enjoyed their company. The house is in a great location and perfect for a short stay. If business led us to Truro again we would certainly return.

  • We had a very pleasant stay at the Apple Loft. We were only there for 1 night, to visit a concert at the Eden Project, which is located conveniently close by. The loft is comfortable, and perfect for a couple. The extra little touches made it special (breakfast rolls delivered at the doorstep, bottles of home brewed cider in the fridge). And the bathroom is especially nice. If we would return to this area, we'd stay here again.

    Luco2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Apple Loft is in a beautiful situation, looking out across gardens and an orchard. It has all you need for a relaxing break - completely serene. Breakfast was delivered to the door each morning and cider is made nearby - a wonderfully intoxicating smell! And taste!! We would thoroughly recommend it and hope to visit again.

  • A wonderfully relaxing and beautiful place to stay. Very warm welcome from Juliet and Jonathan, and great to chat about bees and cider making - it has inspired us! Lovely fresh pastries each morning, and other treats in the fridge too. Just lovely!

    Ann2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was exactly as described, and the experience has been wonderful! Juliet and Jonathan are exceptional host, very kind and cheerful and we loved the welcomed they offered us. Juliet introduced us to the dogs - so cute!- and Jonathan spent time with us explaining how to make cider and even offering us a tasting session! Thanks to you two for offering us such nice memories. We will come back, for sure!

  • Jonathon and Juliet made us feel extremely welcome nothing, was too much trouble. The accommodation was perfect and the setting superb, with views over Jonathon's cider apple orchard, and Juliet's vegetable patch. The village is small, but has numerous functions, on our weekend there was an antiques fair in the village hall and a small village shop. The pub is very friendly and the food is excellent.

    Dave2016-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent 3 nights stay with Juliet at the Apple Loft. The location and quality of the rooms were great, with a comfy bed, TV and an amazing roll top bath. Juliet and her husband were very welcoming, with good local knowledge (we definitely recommend the local theatre group & lost gardens) and provided a fantastic breakfast from a local bakery. They also have a self catering property for anyone interested in a longer stay, we have already recommended this to our family and friends. The free bottle of cider produced at the property was also a welcome touch. Thank you both for a perfect 3 nights.

    Neil2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful spot to stay. This ensuite appartment is situated on Jonathan and Juliets beautiful property and is really easy to get to. We explored the beautiful orchard and flower garden and enjoyed an impromptu tour of the beehives too. The appartment itself blew us away - couldn't have asked for better. Fresh pastries each morning, beautiful interior - free standing bath, really too lovely for words. It's also notable how well located Grampound is for exploring the Roseland coast. Mevagissey, Port Loe, St Mawes, and beaches galore meant we were spoilt for choice. Would recommend highly to anyone wishing to stray a little off the East coast's more well trodden path. Fewer people, better beaches. Beautiful property.

    William2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at the Apple Lodge. The room was beautiful, well appointed and in an extremely peaceful setting with natural alarm clocks in the Guinea Foul and other wildlife roaming around the orchard. Juliet could not have been a more charming and thoughtful host. Delicious pastries, cereal, yoghurt, jam and milk provided for breakfast with kettle, fridge and cutlery; even a selection of DVDs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Clean, tastefully decorated and quiet with a fridge in the room and tea and coffee making facilities. Our private shower/toilet was just across the hall and had high spec shower and fittings. • We loved the shower and found the bed very comfortable. The parking was very useful and thank you for letting Diggy the dog stay. We would definitely stay here again. Peter and Christine

  • Although the shower stall is a tiny bit small, it is the very best shower I think we have ever had the pleasure of using. This home is within walking distance to the train station and town. Though the entrance is not private, you do not have to walk through the house to get your room or the shower/toilet. Matt is a perfectly pleasant host.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Matt's place in Truro for one night. Matt's place is in a great location in Truro. The room had its own seperate bathroom at the front of the house and both the bedroom and bathroom were very clean and had all the essentials. ie tea, coffee etc and the room even had a small little fridge. Matt was friendly and helpful and accomodated a late arrival on Friday night. He also knows the area quite well and gave us tips with our travels as this was our first time to Cornwall.

King size bed...The room is the quality of a decent hotel in a home environment. It's relaxing and welcoming but with a lovely luxury feel - Oh and did I mention... King sized bed! And relax! The pictures don't do the room justice, it's light, relaxing & airy! Why not come and stay? I have lots of exciting ideas to make your trip memorable. Look forward to seeing you.
There's a local convenience shop, a pub and a lovely walk 1 mile away (Idless). A beach 6 miles away & Truro city centre 3 miles away - which has endless shops bars and restaurants. It's a country feel not far from either the seaside or the city! Win win! Also my house is situated 2 miles off the A30 the main travel route through Cornwall so great for visiting many places or for professionals here on business.
  • Great location as you can drive to Truro in 10 minutes even at peak times. Very friendly host and beautyful and stylish accommodation.

  • Rosie was an amazing host. Very clean and brand new place. Super confortable bed. Rosie is really friendly and always here for you. Breakfast every morning and really good location to discover Cornwall. We recommand Rosie 100%

    Xavier2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Rosie welcomed us into her home and gave great suggestions for day trips around Cornwall. Her home is clean, tidy and new. Being a new estate there are some things to bear in mind - the post code was not recognized in our Sat Nav and the internet is not yet connected. The 2nd bed is a futon, but we slept well. We enjoyed meeting you Rosie and thank you for your hospitality.

  • The owner was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and neat, I would recommend others to stay there.

  • We can recommend Rosie as host wholeheartedly. She and her lovely dog Lola made us feel very welcome, she couldn't have been any nicer and gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants, days out etc. The room was beautiful and absolutely clean, breakfast good and plentiful, we had our own bathroom (also beautiful and absolutely clean), there's a car parking space right in front of the house,... Everything was simply perfect.

    Sabine2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Rosie's place was exactly as described and a great location for exploring the surrounding area - Truro is only about a 40 minute walk away. The room was perfect and having breakfast included each morning was great. Rosie was really helpful with anything we needed, including organising an earlier check-in. Our trip was for house-hunting and we liked the area so much we are now moving in around the corner! Would definitely recommend!

  • It is a true reflection of what the advert says. Its a lovely place and you feel valued by the host. I loved it because it's clean and beautiful. I had my privacy and felt as if I was in my 'own' home. The host also listened to me and helped me with advice and information as far as she could. I would recommend my friends and family to be future guests

    Felistas 2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rosie was a brilliant host (as was Lola!), the place was lovely and the room was bigger than it looked in the pictures. Only thing to mention is to be careful when navigating there - when we put the post code into (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps it went somewhere random as it's a new development. If you click on the airbnb link it works ok, otherwise find the old plough inn on shortlanesend and you're just about there.

Situated three floors above the award winning Star & Garter, the Crow's Nest offers uninterrupted view over Falmouth harbour, open plan kitchen/lounge, log burner and bathroom and bedroom. Found at the top of the high street, you are very close to the centre of town, independent shops & other activities. As this is at the very top of the building, there are 2 eaves. People nearing 6ft may want to duck! Please see listing photos.

  • A beautiful apartment with breathtaking views across Falmouth and beyond. It was well equipped, clean and extremely comfortable. Great location for exploring Falmouth and beyond, and dinner in the restaurant below was excellent too. My husband is 6ft+ tall and banged his head many times on the sloping ceilings (!!) but otherwise we can't fault a single thing! Becca's excellent communication made the whole process hassle free, and we would love to return one day. Thank you so much!

  • A charming apartment with fantastic views. Would love to stay again.

  • Really lovely trip. The crow's nest is so clean, cosy and has unbelievable views. Great hosts who are really easy to contact. We also had a delicious meal in the restaurant. Perfect couple of days - thank you!

    Rose2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very modern flat, with lots of space and in a really cool location. Views to the harbor are unreal. It's easy to stop down into the Star & Garter for really good food and drink. Brownies waiting in the kitchen upon our arrival were an added bonus. The hosts are great, and communication is easy. If you're going to Falmouth, or planning to explore the area, this is a great apartment to call home.

    Brandon2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful 3 days in this comfortable and stylish apartment, and with its view over the river and harbour it's well worth the stairs to the top floor! Becca's welcome pack of locally made provisions was delicious and she was very helpful and easy to communicate with. I'd been worried about finding parking nearby on the street, but we never had a problem even though it was close to Easter. We'll definitely go back!

    Barbara2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Just wow! The view is everything and we can't wait to visit again!

    Carly2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place. Fab views and so much better and more comfortable than any hotel room. Can't wait to go again

  • The perfect place for our 2 night stay, thank you very much for hosting us. The food in the restaurant was amazing too and actually our favourite place to eat during the whole of our stay in Cornwall. Loved the design and finishing in the crows nest which was recently refurbished. The 2 smart TV's were very handy for our cosy night in. The views of the port, on a clear day, are sensational. Would definitely stay again.
