  • A little smaller than I thought, but other than that it was a cozy cabin

  • Umpqua's Last Resort is a great place for a rustic, secluded getaway! The cabin was clean and cozy, and the scenery is beautiful. Mary was timely and helpful in her communication, and friendly and available for needs during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Our little cabin was clean and decorated in such a cute way. Mary and the whole staff was so friendly and kind. Mary suggested places for us to see and gave great directions. Beautiful waterfalls in the area! We had a great vacation there!

  • Great place to stay if you enjoy nature but don't necessarily want to finish your day in a tent. Very clean, and much roomier on the inside than the pictures suggest. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone considering a trip in Oregon

  • Incredibly beautiful location. Clean and quiet. Nice hosts.

  • Awesome place to get away for a few nights! Near hotsprings and all the waterfalls. Great for doggies

    Casey2018-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint cabin in a gorgeous location! I did not have the chance to meet Dustin in person, but he was courteous and very helpful in his text messages. As it says in the description, the bathroom is in a separate building, but I did not find it as great of an inconvenience as I thought I would. All buildings are really close to it, and the bathrooms are kept very clean. The showers were working perfectly well, too.

    Jennifer2017-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay while visiting the Umpqua Forest and Crater Lake! The little cabin was perfect and just as pictured. Facilities were clean and the location was great. We highly recommend!

  • 5 stars for having a Nicolas Cage movie in the rental. The loft was rad. Showers and bathroom were clean. There were turkeys wandering the area in the morning so that was cool. It's a nifty lil place.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Umpqua's Last Resort. The cabins were very cute, cozy, and clean. The cabins are close to the Umpqua Hot Springs (20min) and Crater Lake (1hr40min), as well as many other sights and hikes. We enjoyed being able to use the little Weber grill to make hot meals. We would definitely stay again!

  • This was the perfect base for our adventures along the North Umpqua. We were looking for a simple place to stay that was more convenient/dry than tent camping and that's exactly what it was. The beds were comfortable and had bedding, there was a water cooler, fridge, microwave, and more amenities that made this like the hotel version of staying in a yurt or ranger cabin. The hosts were friendly and check in/out was easy. The bathrooms were clean. They even had a big selection of DVDs to choose from. We were within a few miles of so many waterfalls, hikes, and the hot springs. The neighboring store has everything you'll need and more. I would highly recommend staying here!

  • Nice cabin, about 30 Miles from any civilisation. A little small for the Winter. Must be great in the summer.

    Nicklas2017-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nice secluded area with all the amenities. Very close to all the trails, hot springs, and river. Our place had a fire pit and was dog friendly so we had a great time!

    Chelsea2018-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Brought in the new year at this amazing place. The cabin was cozy and perfect, exactly what we were looking for! And dog friendly so that's a plus. The location was prime, so much to do and see in that area. Not only was the cabin and area great but the hosts were just as amazing. So welcoming and friendly, can't wait to see them again!

    Ami2018-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great little spot to start your adventures out of.

    Angela2018-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Small little cabin as advertised, but cozy and comfortable! Stayed warm in December weather with the little space heater. Sheets were super soft and bed comfortable! Nice little refrigerator with freezer, a cute little porch for sitting. Bathrooms are a short walk down the slope. Quick response time from host, but we had no trouble finding the place as it’s right off the highway. Close to adventures! Loved the binder of things to see in the cabin.

Mountain Mama Lodge is just across the highway from the North Umpqua River! MML is the perfect spot for hikers, bikers, fishermen, hunters, families and retreat-goers for exploration of Umpqua Hot Springs, Crater Lake, Diamond Lake and areas of the North Umpqua Trail and forest. Refer to the National Forest Service for any closed trails or river access.
Bring your group for biking, camping, fishing, hunting, crafting or just a relaxing retreat! Also a private and romantic getaway for 2.
Stunningly beautiful! We are a short walking distance to the North Umpqua River (just across the street!) yet are conveniently located next to the Dry Creek Store for any needs you may have. We are surrounded in every direction by forest, creeks and waterfalls, making our neighborhood one of the most beautiful and serene in the Cascade Range and southern Oregon. We are approximately 50 miles east of Roseburg on Hwy 138; the closest to the Crater Lake National Park north entrance.
  • We had a great time at the Mountain Mama lodge. Sherry was a phenomenal host. It was evident that she took a lot of effort to ensure every comfort was available to the guests down to the finest detail. Example - She was nice enough to leave the lights on for us as we were arriving late in the night. She even had the sofa beds set up and ready for us to crash upon arrival. She arranged the wood in the fireplace; all I had to do was "light a match". Directions to the lodge were super accurate. The amenities at the lodge were perfect. They really thought everything through. My family and I had a great time here. Highly recommend!

    Sid2017-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • I loved everything about this place! Sherry is a wonderful host as well. You won't be disappointed.

    Liezel2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best Airbnb that my friends and I have stayed at! There was plenty of room for the 6 of us to fit comfortably in there. The beds were so soft and comfortable that we didn't want to leave! Sherry went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great time. She supplied games, DVDs, s'mores fixings, a typewriter, and a great fire pit right outside! One of my favorite features was the outdoor shower, which was surprisingly spacious and private given that it's outside. All of the neighbors and the folks who worked at the Dry Creek Store were friendly and helpful too. My friends and I are already trying to plan a trip back to stay here again! I highly recommend this Airbnb. Even though Sherry and her husband were out of town when we arrived and couldn't welcome us personally, she made sure to email and give me detailed instructions on how to get in, and gave me her phone number to call in case I needed anything at all. Sherry is a great host!

  • Mountain Mama Lodge is a lovely and comfortable home base from which to explore Crater Lake, beautiful waterfalls and the scenic, pristine North Umpqua River. It's clear that Sherry and Charlie put a lot of thought into supplying what anyone, whether a couple, family or group, might need to fully enjoy their stay in the Lodge, right down to a fire pit of wood just waiting to be lit, along with all the makings for s'mores. My husband, 16-yr. old grandson and I arrived late in the day after visiting Crater Lake. Sherry had turned on the lights, and had even left us a typed message of welcome on a vintage typewriter. After a phone call from me to let them know that we'd arrived, Sherry and Charlie dropped by to make certain we knew where everything was and to ask if we needed anything else. In a previous communication, Sherry had suggested North Umpqua Outfitters for a day of whitewater rafting. Since it was something we'd never done before, I took her suggestion and made reservations. Whitewater rafting was a little out of my comfort zone, but our expert guide, Bill, who is also the owner, put us all completely at ease with his light banter and obvious experience/knowledge of the rapids, and the river itself. We had an absolute blast! We hope to get back to Mountain Mama Lodge in the near future, but if that doesn't happen, thanks to Sherry and Charlie and their thoughtfulness, we have cherished memories to recall.

    Donna2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • The host of mountain Mama's Lodge we're very accommodating and super sweet. There is a lot of beauty around the lodge and plenty of space definitely recommend

  • Excellent place to stay. Attentive respectful owners and comfortable room. Single hot plate / burner only for cooking. Toaster oven and microwave. Really enjoyed this visit.

    Michael2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a shining example of what AirBnB can be. The detail in decoration and equipment is very nice, and the place was very clean. Sherry wasn't there, but made sure everything was well prepared and went out of her way to make us feel at home. We can't recommend both her as well as her lovely cottage highly enough!

    Dennis2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place was really amazing - cute, little house in the middle of the forest. The outside shower was a great adventure, don't be afraid of that. You can hear the river while taking a shower:) It was very clean and well prepared. You can really feel like at home. The hosts were extremely friendly. I definitely recommend this place :)
