  • We had a wonderful time in Marie's apartment. A few minutes walk from the Park and from the subway, the location couldn't have been better. Marie waited for us at the apartment upon our arrival; she explained us in details the different things to know about her cosy apartment. The place was clean and organized. Marie is a wonderful host and has always answered my texts immediately. I definitely recommend this place!

    Clément2015-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Marie made us feel welcome the moment we walked in the door. She was very friendly & we enjoyed visiting with her. She was very accommodating & her home is lovely.

    Ashley2015-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marie was great and very helpful. The place was fantasic. Exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend.

    Benjamin2015-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • It was a treat staying in Marie's place. The location was great and we had what we needed! Marie was responsive, very friendly and helpful. Marie met us at the apartment and reviewed all important things to know. She helped us find a great dumpling eatery close by. It should be more clear in the description that parking is actually not included. Marie let us know when we arrived that we would have had to prearrange parking. It all worked out fine with street parking but I was not planning on that.

    Melissa2015-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice loft, about 15min walk from the subway, very clean, with wifi Delicious grocery store agata & valentina 5min walk Marie was absolutely wonderful, she provided us with a list of stores, coffee shops and restaurants near by and she answered all our questions very quickly. We really enjoyed our stay in new york !

    Juliette2014-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • This might seem "too good to be true," but believe me (and the other reviewers) this place is fantastic! We stayed there for an entire week and we had no problems during our stay. Marie is a wonderful host. When we showed up she was ready to give us endless tips and information (and even sent us additional lists of info later) and really made us feel welcome. The apartment itself is beautiful. It's all you could need and even more. I highly recommend Marie and her apartment.

  • Great location, cute little place, host is very friendly and available to give advice on places to go. She was also helpful with providing menus, and a map for the subway. I would definitely stay here again

    Elizabeth2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Marie provided a warm welcome. She left a basket of fresh fruit and willingly offered suggestions for transportation and local eats. She communicated well and was very helpful. The neighborhood was safe and a great location. Wi-Fi was appreciated. The pictures and description of the "loft" need to be updated to reflect a more accurate profile. The "loft" has tall ceilings but is not what I would consider a loft space, it is an apartment which has not been updated in sometime. It appeared to have a very basic cleaning for which we paid $$ but was dusty and cluttered with antique/well worn furniture, books, magazines, and a giant 20th century TV sitting on a chair, a very Bohemian feel. The full size bed was comfortable as was the couch but the pillows need to be replaced (old, stained and flat). The "futon" is a foam sleeping mat that is starting to fall apart, so know that you will be sleeping on the floor not on a what most people consider a futon. Overall, our experience in NYC was good but I would not stay here again. I can appreciate that some might find this more than adequate but we were disappointed.

It is the best deal in the City.
  • What a bargain! An oasis for sure. I found it to be a lovely furnished room. It is quite clean as is the kitchen and bathroom. It is quite and the heat is good. For this time of the year. I was easily able to walk to the Metropolitan Museum. It is located right in the heart of shops and restaurants and has easy access to the Metro. I would come back again and highly recommend it!

  • Cozy place with a super nice host! Love to stay here again someday! Highly recommended!

  • Eun was an excellent host who goes out of the way to make the stay pleasant. Place was clean and very near to the Q subway line and museum mile.

    Malcolm2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • A great spot which was close to Central Park ( about 10 minutes walk). Handy to buses and subway. Liked the fact that there was a Wholefoods nearby and was easy to get around. Eun was very good at getting back to me and let me drop my bags early. I had the place to myself for 5 days.

    Rachel 2017-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Eun was amazing! She is super sweet and a very kind host. She provided a very clean and pleasant place to stay. She even provided me a bottle of water and some tasty chocolates when I arrived. The area is beautiful, lots of great places to eat, drink, or just grab a coffee. I loved every minute of my trip and I would totally stay there again. 5 Stars!!

    Will2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • My experience with Eun is wonderful. The room is clean and quiet. The location is great: it only takes 2 min to the subway station and less than 15 min to the Metropolitan Museum. Eun is very considerable and she will prepare everything for you. It is really a good choice for single visitors to choose Eun’s place.

    Yu2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Eun was super friendly and considerate. Her place is in a wonderful location and was clean and quiet.

    Gretchen2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Eun's has been my best Airbnb experience, by far! The room was exactly as shown in pictures and she does a great job of making you feel welcomed (there's a fragrant air diffuser, comfortable blankets, she had sparkling water ready for me when I arrived etc). The bathroom's also clean and has hot water. And the location is perfect, with the new Q train basically right at your doorstep. Overall, a wonderful place with the sweetest host; 10/10 would recommend!

Cozy 1 bedroom apartment in the heart of the Upper East Side! GREAT location - perfect home base to explore the city! Just a few blocks from the subway (6 line), which takes you to midtown Manhattan, the Financial District, and many connections in-between! Also just 3 blocks from Central Park! Queen bed in the bedroom with two sofabeds in the main living area, and a fourth single bed stowed away in the closet to save space, but available if needed! Comfortable space at a great value!
Walk up building, top floor unit - be prepared to walk up 4 flights of stairs! (great exercise) I love my space and know you will too - please treat it like your own, and make yourself comfortable! Plenty of great eateries nearby and just 3 short blocks to Central Park!
The Upper East Side has a wealth of culture, restaurants, hangouts, markets, and shops - you will never be bored! It is a very quiet area though, so no need to worry about traffic sounds or unruly bar patrons causing a ruckus! Plenty of delicious eateries, local markets, and lively hangouts within walking distance from my apartment!

    Great Location Very Clean Wi-fi
APARTMENT This is a PRIVATE APARTMENT in the heart of Manhattan. Less than 15 min walk to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park. 5 minute walk to metro. Tons of trendy restaurants and bars nearby. NOT to be confused with places in Harlem, New Jersey or the other boroughs like Brooklyn and Queens. This is PRIME MANHATTAN location in the tony Upper East Side. Here are some directions: - 15 minute walk (!) to Central Park, Metropolitan Museum of Arts, Whitney and Frick collection. 25 min walk to Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum - 2 minute walk to thousands of restaurants - 7 minute walk to the 4/5/6 subway line - 15 minutes on subway to Times Square Apartment has a queen bed and a sofa bed, air conditioning, all the necessary cooking ware, refrigerator, oven/cooking stove, high-speed wi-fi. It is very warm in winter. The apartment is probably most well suited for to 2 people, who would like a clean, comfortable place in a great location. There is also a sofa-bed, which can sleep another 2 persons. My goal is to provide a clean, pleasant, safe and quiet apartment in a TOP location. My cleaning standards are really high and my cleaning lady does a VERY thorough job.
Quiet and safe residential area with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and bars nearby. - 15 minute walk (!) to Central Park, Metropolitan Museum of Arts, Whitney and Frick collection. 25 min walk to Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum - 5 min walk to supermarket - 7 minute walk to the 4/5/6 subway line - 15 minutes on subway to Times Square
  • We had a great stay at Ksenia's place, it was well located, and had the basics for a great stay! We definitely recommend her home ☺️!!

    Natalie2015-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Ksenia's place for 4 nights and it was very cozy - everything we needed was there in the kitchen and bath. I would definitely rent this apartment again.

    Carolyn2014-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, great host! The apartment was just as the described and as shown on the pictures. Very clean and nice! It's a short walk to the subway and grocery stores. Host were very welcoming and did her best to make our stay pleasent and comfortable! Would rent again! :)

    Jone og Malene2015-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Overall we had a good experience. Checking in was very easy; although the host wasn't there, she arranged for someone to be there at a time that fit our schedule. The place was very clean, quiet (we didn't hear neighbors at all), and the location is wonderful, with tons of lovely shops and restaurants, groceries, Central Park and a subway stop within a few blocks. The Wifi worked great. Maybe a little less luxurious than I was hoping from the UES; also we didn't find the mattress very supportive but it's probably fine for most :)

    Jenny2014-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • It was very easy to communicate with Ksenia about our booking and the check in and check out process went very smoothly. She is a helpful and gracious host. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The cleaning lady did a great job and left us fresh flowers. The apartment is very warm. WiFi also works really well. The location is great, we used the subway but were also able to walk to to the apartment from Midtown. We also used some of the local eateries and coffee shops and there are a couple of cool bars round the corner. The street is pretty quiet (for NYC), but you do get people hooting their horns and trucks etc, it is central New York after all! A couple of minor issues: the bath could do with replacing as the enamel is missing in places and the ice-box in the fridge was not usable as it needs defrosting; the mattress on the bed is also a little tired, but not uncomfortable. The pillows and bedding are really nice quality.

    Jen2015-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • The experience at Ksenia's apartment was great!! First, it was really easy to communicate with her and she solved any possible doubts that we had. Also, she made it really easy for us to make the check in, because there was a person of her trust waiting for us in the apartament and cleaning. The apartament is really cute, comfortable, and great for winter as it has heat. Location of the apartment is great!! It is close to subway, and easily connected with midtown, but also in a calm and beautiful place, where you can rest easily and not having lots of disturbing sounds. The experience was really nice, and if we repeat we would get to Ksenia's apartament for sure, actually we have recommended it to some persons who plan to come in some months!

  • Kaenia is a friendly friend, when we went NYC,it was the spring festival in china,we were lived NYC 8 days,we had been liveing in her apartment these days,I must to say this apartment location is so great,we are Chinese people, there is Asian and 24hours,every Monday to Friday, there is buffet sale, rice, salad and meat,it is very delicious. The subway 6line near the apartment, this station is 77th street, walk three blocks, about 10minutes,we went to the Metropolitan museum just walk for 20minutes. The hot water in the apartment is 24hours,bathe is very comfortable,we can cook, there is an ovcen,a fridge and stove,we can buy food at big supermarket near our apartment,it is very warm. The apartment is on the third floor, there is a little noise upstairs, have no choice but,NYC is a noisy city, maybe it is framework of this apartment,it is too old. Thank you again for ksenia, and her place,we will come again.

My cozy, well designed studio can comfortable fit two. located in a clean and quite building, it comes fully furnished with custom designed furniture, 42 inch LED TV, wifi, full kitchen and bath, an outdoor terrace / balcony and access to the rooftop. Also a block from the Carl Schurz park.
The unit can be converted to one large living space, because of its flexible custom built furniture. You also have different options for enjoying the summer sun, from the balcony to the roof and the backyard garden, to the park a block away. it can comfortable fit two guests.
The upper east side has lots to offer, from parks and museums in the day to bars and night lounges at night. This diverse neighborhood caters to all. 86th street also is a thriving economic hub with retail stores and restaurants line the street. Great location to eat, drink and shop.
  • Joël was a new member of Airbnb, in this case he didnt have comments about him. But its not a problem, Joel was very nice with us, he gaves us all information to have a nice trip. The flat is cosy, functional, the bed was very comfy, in a very calm street (which is enjoyable in NYC!). We was close to Central Park, the MET and the metro (10min) on 86th street there are lot of shops, all we need! If you want to visit NYC (as us for one week) you will find with Joel apartment a very good adress to stay!! Thank you Joel and all the best!!!

  • Joel's apartment is very close to the Subway (Q line) and the Central Park. There are plenty places nearby like cafes, bars and restaurants... The apartment is cozy and well equipped for two people. Joel ia a great hoster and always answered me quickly (even after midnight). I definitively recomend.

  • Joel's place it was a great choice for my trip with my wife during the 2nd half of september, we have really enjoyed the neighborhood which it's really quiet for a good rest during the night, and very convenient for the proximity to Metro, restaurants, groceries and other stores. Joel it's a great hosts and he always was available for respond questions via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) or SMS. I totally recomend this place.

  • Great place. Joel was very responsive and was there if we needed anything. Close to public transportation and neighborhood is fairly quiet .would definitely recommend this place for people who are out in NYC on an adventure.the flexibility of the check in and check out is definelty convenient .

    Marlon2017-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay, on such a lovely side of Manhattan. I felt lucky to have such a kind and helpful host. Quaint, and comfy upper east side studio with plenty of places to enjoy delicious food and beverage after a long days work.

    Nicole2015-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Over priced, dirty apartment - would not recommend. The studio was much smaller than expected and it was really dirty. Consider that the host charged nearly $100 you'd expect a spotless - not a place that looks like it has never been cleaned. Also the fridge roaring loud and in close proximity. I've stayed in several airbnb apts around the area and this one was by far over priced for what you get in return. Also it's top of the building so you face 6 flights of stairs daily!

    Andrea2015-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is very much central located and has all the appliances required e.g. good Wifi connexion, bathroom, kitchenette, ....surely to be recommended.

Hi there! My apartment is a gorgeous studio conveniently located on the Upper East Side. There's plenty of space for 1-2 people to enjoy comfortably. The apartment is one block away from the Second Ave subway line, and just a 10 minute walk to the 4/5/6 lines as well. You can be at Grand Central or Times Square in 15 minutes, and Pennsylvania Station in 20. Just a 15 minute walk to Central Park! Great restaurants in the area, and located in a fun & friendly neighborhood!
Guests will have the entire studio to themselves. The unit is up two flights of stairs (unfortunately no elevator in the building). There is plenty of closet space and drawers for clothes, an AppleTV, a well-stocked kitchen, and a table with seating for two (that currently doubles as my work space). There will be fresh towels, soap, toilet paper, all those sorts of essentials. And the unit faces out to a courtyard, so you won't hear all the noise of the city streets! Additionally, I am more than happy to provide recommendations on places to go and things to do, and am happy to meet up for a drink or two if you'd like company!
Great neighborhood -- shopping, coffee, restaurants, parks all within 15 minute walk or less. Two blocks a quiet park on the East side of Manhattan, and a 15 minute walk to Central Park. Neighborhood is fun, safe, and usually pretty quiet, but has plenty of fun bars in the area for when you're looking for a fun night out.
  • Great place to stay while visiting New York. Easy to get to all the attractions, lots of restaurants, bars and supermarkets close by. Studio is well set up with all the essentials. Great value for money.

the space is beautiful and it is hotel like, large room
  • It was really really wonderful being Stana's guests. We were 2 girls and the bed was okay for us for 2 days. The WLAN worked wonderful. The location of the flat is perfect, right next to the Central Park and in the very near of the subway to be fast in town! Stana was very nice and very guest friendly and her tips helped us a lot to experience New York. Thanks again for this wonderful trip!

  • The Relaxing apt for a great vacation time in NYC is in a great location for people who want to explore Manhatan, very close to Central Park and restaurants. Also easy to get with public trasportation since is beside a subway station (96str & 2nd ave). Since you will sleep in a sofabed in the leaving room you'll feel that you won't have enough privacy but the host will give you all the space and time you need. I loved the host the most, she was very nice and sociable and open minded, she gave us everything we need it. Thanks for a great stay.

  • I'll start by saying thanks to Santa. She was really amazing in welcoming us to here home. She made us feel right at home. The location is great, there's a subway station very nearby. The building is quite and the so is the neighborhood. The apartment had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipment, and so is any essentials we needed. One thing that prevented it from being perfect was the beds. There's one bed that was a bit small, and the other one was a sofa bed which wasn't very comfortable. Other then that it was amazing! Thanks Santa!

This is a beautiful apartment in the quaint East Village. It is 2 Avenues from Central Park and 10-15 minute walk to the Metropolitan Museum of Art Conveniently located less than a five minute walk to the 6 and Q lines for easy access downtown.
  • Conveniently located and good value as a base to visit Manhattan. Nights were comfortable. Kitchen is well set-up although we did not use it.

  • My family of five had a great stay at this apartment. We had plenty of space to spread out. It was very quiet at night. The best feature of all: location. Right in the upper East side. It was a block from a deli, and two restaurants. Two blocks from a grocery store. Four blocks from the subway. The m1 bus line runs right in front of the apartment as well. Perfect for any trip to New York!

  • Very nice and clean apartment! Great location! And thank you, Kenneth for your advices!!! Good luck!)

    Boris2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is correct. Photos are maybe better than reality. The best is the location, very well communicated by subway, bus or walking. Even we did not meet Kenneth, he has been always available and answered nicely. The apartament is perfect for 4 people if tourism is the focus of your trip. The bathroom was a little bit dirty upon our arrival and the fridge is not working properly, even we used it only to keep milk and water cold.

    Aurelio2017-09-23T00:00:00Z

  • This apartment was in central location close to subways and walking distance to central park. It is very small but clean, nice and cosy, perfect for our stay (for 3 people) as we spent the days out of the apartment exploring. Penelope was a great host - very east to communicate with, she resolved any issues straight away and check in/out all ran smoothly with no issues. Overall we were very impressed and would recommend others to stay here and if visiting NYC we would definitely stay again.

Location is very convenient and accessible as there are a couple of bus stops right outside the apartment and a train station 2 blocks west. Host was very easily accessible and responds quickly. Everything was perfect! Will definitely recommend.

  • Great location in safe, energetic neighborhood near subway lines. Comfortable and clean, perfect for our stay. Manolo was very communicative; easy to check in and out.

  • Our stay at Manolos apartment was very pleasant. The apartment is nicely furnished, comfortable and clean. We really felt at home there soon. There was even a bit more space, than we expected from looking at the pictures. The location is very convenient for exploring all of the city, there are two metro-lines' stations just minutes away, and Guggenheim and Metropolitan Museum are in walking distance. Sure, you hear the sounds of 2nd avenue and the restaurant below, but this is NYC and we quickly got used to it. Manolo was a very attentive and quickly responding host. We really can recommend his place!

    Petra 2017-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was charming and had many supplies I didn't expect. When we arrived there were fresh flowers and champagne. The location was superb. I definitely will stay there again when I return to New York.

    Harriet2016-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Manolo made everything about checking in and out very clear and easy - this is important when arriving in an unfamiliar city. Whether or not you love this apartment is also going to depend on what YOU expect. For us, coming from a place where space is no issue, the apartment is small. But, this is New York City, so you have to expect small. For us, coming from a very quiet place, it was a little noisy. But, again, this is New York City. You don't come here for the quiet. The apartment itself is much nicer than the building that it's part of. So, make sure you get to the apartment before worrying - there's everything you need; it's clean and comfy. All good.

    Danielle2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Manolo' s place was terrific. Being so close to the train is a true luxury. Walking distance to Central Park & the Met! Very comfortable and pleasant.

    Cristin2017-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really nice stay in NYC and really appreciated Manolo's apartment. The location is really accessible and in a nice part of the city. We were able to walk to many of the sights that we wanted to visit and to easily catch a cab as well.

    Monica2016-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Manolo was an exceptional host, going above and beyond the call of duty to be helpful and accommodating. He treated an older family member of ours as if she were a relative of his and displayed complete integrity in all our dealings with him. The apartment was sunny, well appointed and clean in a very central location. Thank you, Manolo, and we hope to visit again!

    Anjali2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, plenty of restaurants- excellent shopping if you are so inclined to cook. Wash and laundry around corner if you want convenience. Cheap. Will stay again if I am ever lucky enough to return to NYC. Bed suits a couple. Toss for day bed if you are singles and dont like sharing. A bit noisy at night - faces street. Not unbearable though.

  • Overall a great experience! The apartment is extremely well located in a nice, quiet though very accesible neighborhood. Check in with lockbox is VERY SIMPLE and practical and allows for more flexibility which I always value a lot. The place is clean and fully equipped whether you are there for business or holidays, nice laptop area and very close to several stores and a beautiful park by the river. Host was incredibly helpful, always available and friendly. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when I come back to NYC. 100% recommended.

  • Sabri's place is in an amazing location & the lock box made it really easy to check in since my bus was late. The apt is small but perfect for one person. I loved the loft it felt like a lil tree house. The projecter was really cool to watch Netflix . Everything was as expected & perfect for my short time in NYC.

    Alexa2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and location. I enjoyed my stay. Although, I would advice to keep coordinated w/ the host to ensure a smooth stay.

    William2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sabri was such a great host. The information about check-in was very detailled and the check-in itself worked without any problems. Such a great neighborhood, close to everything you can imagine (such as subway, restaurants, bars, supermarkets,...) I can highly recommend this place :)

    Mara2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Ivor2017-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had to wait over an hour past the check in time as cleaning people finished up. Cleaning people told me the sink stopper was broken by the last people, I had to fix it myself. Still hair in the shower after cleaning, couldn't figure out how to adjust heat - opened furnace door and saw lots of dead cockroaches. Wires coming out of wall and railing on the ladder to loft don't seem safe. Request for help in storing luggage a couple of hours beyond check-out time answered with a "no", not helpful. Not a good experience.

A wonderful apartment, decorated with style, has a clean, yet artistic feel to it. One of the quietest bedrooms you will ever sleep in, quiet area in general, yet everything you need is right around the corner from the apartment, restaurants, super market, dry cleaners, Starbucks as well!
My whole, big one bedroom apartment is at your disposal. Minutes away from the Metropolitan Museum, Guggenheim Museum, The Frick Museum, Central Park. You can do laundry right across the street, grocery store is right around the corner as are a half dozen restaurants. If you stay here, you will be in good company as the famous singer Madonna lives on the same street. This One Bedroom Apartment is located on 81st Street near the East River, which translates to a peaceful and safe street. It has a fashionable living room, the bedroom is faced in the back of the building for a quiet night's sleep. The kitchen has a cozy feel to it. The bathroom is right next to the bedroom, it has a bathtub, toilet and sink. A/C, Internet available. Clean bedsheets and towels are at your disposal. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I will be happy to answer any of your concerns. Thank you for viewing my listing. No matter where you stay in New York City, you will have a great time. Cordially, Renne Gjoni
It has a real feel of a neighborhood, you live in the city right next to the famous museums of the world, The Metropolitan Museum, The Guggenheim, yet you feel you are in a truly residential area that is safe 24 hours a day.
  • Renne's apartment was great! Perfect location, so easy to get to the subway, close to Central Park and plenty of shops, cafes and bars close by. Everything we needed was pretty much right at our doorstep. Hot shower, clean towels and sheets made our stay quite pleasant. The only thing I would was a negative was the limited amount of cooking supplies/utensils that were available. We wanted to cook our own dinner and it was quite diffcult to make some things due to lack of supplies. If you aren't big on cooking however, this would not be a problem. Still great to have a fridge and stove etc for the basic things. There were three of us staying here and it was just the right size.. any more than three people though and it would be a tad cosy. Very quiet location and great neighbourhood! Renne was easy to deal with great with staying in touch and getting things organised before our arrival. Made it very easy and was very nice. Would definitely recommend staying here!

    Hayley2013-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Renne's place is as pictured and in a great location. The area is quiet with fairly easy subway access and lots of shops/cafes, etc. The apartment was clean, but the building was a bit dingy, with wallpaper peeling off the walls, etc. The keys are also a bit tricky, especially the one to the apartment which sticks and is hard to get in the keyhole. Renne was a great host and almost always answered our communications very quickly.

    Rachel2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a pleasant, peaceful and relaxing stay at Renne's apartment. The neighborhood is quiet and chill, but also close to everything. The apartment is spacious, especially for New York. The sheets were soft and cozy, and the couch was relaxing. Renne was courteous, professional and easy to communicate with. Would book again. Thanks Renne for a nice time!

    Marlo2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Renne was such a great host- he was so nice communicating with from start to finish and was quick at responding. He was flexible with the check out time, and very helpful in providing recommendations and advices on NYC ( a list of good restaurants to visit, places to buy groceries and spots to do shopping). The flat is exactly how it looks from the pictures, even better. Uniquely decorated, with just the right amount of sunlight and a cool view of the upper eastside apartments. The direct neighbourhood is quite calm, which is great if you appreciate getting away from the busy city and perfect to experience New York City like a local. Easily walkable to public transportation (it's about 5 blocks from the subway, or a block from bus (we used the bus often)). We had a lovely time there and would definitely recommend it!. Thank you Renne.

    sanaa2016-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Renne is a most welcoming and helping person, the apartment is quiet and clean, and the pictures give a clear sense of its charme. The subway is within 15 min. walk and the most important museums plus Central Park within walking distance. Highly recommended.

    roberto2012-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Renne is the consummate host. His apartment is immaculate and beautifully decorated; it was the perfect place to come home to after busy days running around the city. From the hardwood floors and leather sofa to the comfortable bed and sunny view, everything about the apartment was ideal. The location was also excellent -- a quiet street close to great restaurants, coffee shops and groceries. Renne was quick to respond to questions, and he made it easy to pick up and drop off the keys. I wouldn't hesitate to rent his apartment again. I highly recommend him.

    Steve2012-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Two positives: The location was very good and it was quiet. Many negatives: Very run down, inferior bedding, gas odor, substandard bathroom with discolored tub and neglected grouting - I could not take a shower.

    Eva2013-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Renne has a cosy apartment, comfortable and airy. The kitchen was equipped with most things one would need to make a quick meal. The beds were comfy, and we had very clean, very nice smelling linen and towels! That's always a plus! The decor was very artsy, paintings and trinkets everywhere. We loved it! The location is absolutely ideal. There are eating places as close as a 5-7 minute walk away, as well as a 24 hour Duane Reade. A laundry is right down the road. The bus stop is also quite close. Renne was always available via email, and very helpful. Overall, we had a comfortable experience!

Beautiful place only a couple blocks from main entrance of Central Park. Wishing walking distance to many attractions like Columbus Circle, Time Square, Met Museum, MOMA and many others. Great area with plenty of restaurants and shopping centers such as famous Bloomingdales. Subway stop only one avenue and one street away: N,Q,R,4,5,6 trains.
  • We stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Kate was our host, and she made sure that we felt very welcome and was available to answer any questions that we had. Checking in and out was very easy. It has a great location and neighborhood.

    Amber2016-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • The location of the apartment is fantastic but the space was even smaller than expected. Upon meeting the host, she was drinking water from a wine glass that she dumped out, did not clean, and oddly left on the counter. We also noticed that the wine glass was the only actual glass in the whole apartment aside from two mugs. Apart from the glasses issue, there was also no silverware. If we had decided to utilize the kitchen, we wouldn't have been able to do so. In addition, we were only given two towels for showering but no hand towels or washcloths. The internet didn't work all that well and we were told we could access Netflix, which we couldn't get running. All in all, if you are looking for a fairly inexpensive place to stay in a great neighborhood, this apartment is fine. In the end it was very bare bones and only provides a place to sleep.

  • The apartement is at a great location. There are restaurants, shops and subway stations close by. Everything was clean and neat. The bathroom is quite small, but works just fine. There even was a hairdryer to use. Kate&Miguel are really nice and easy to get in touch with. They even gave us bad weather suggestions. Definitely a recommendation if you look for a nice place to stay in NYC.

wonderful space the apartment offers many amenities such as High Speed Internet, Cable TV, Hair Dryer, a full kitchen, Coffee Maker, stove, and cooking supplies
Just a few recommendation and resources around my place : Supermarket : If you want to buy some snacks for the apt, you have a lot of grocery stores around the block. And if you decide to go crazy, buy a lot of food or cook, you have Agata & Valentina Supermarket just outside the apt which has unique product, however very pricy. You also have The D’Agostino supermarket, you will find there everything with fair prices. Laundry: If you need laundry you have *So clean Launromat* on 78th st between 2nd & first. They are doing a really good job. You can do your own laundry and also ask them to do it for you. Restaurants/Entertainment Well, everyone has different taste but i can advice you some really good places i just love :) If you would like some true american breakfast *3 Star Dinner*. Longtime neighborhood diner with 24/7 availability & an extensive menu of short-order staples. If you really hungry and looking for good food to fill your stomach go to *Second Avenue Deli*. This is an old-school restaurant serving all kind of excellent food. ! I just love it ! it’s located on 2nd ave & 75th street, just few minutes walking. For grab a drink in the evening in an authentic atmosphere you must visit *American Trash*, veteran saloon serving beer & pub grub in a lived-in space offering pool tables, dartboards & HDTVs. For more options I suggest to download the following app’s: Magazine-time out: Gives you all the weekly events in the city . Open Table- helps you to make reservation for all amazing restaurant in NYC Resy- recommend you the best restaurant around your location. Stubhub: Tickets for shows and concerts in low prices. Yelp (of curse:) Citymapper : will help you to orientate in the city with public transformation. Hope that helped :)

  • Sean makes you feel like the place is yours. His hospitality was warm, inviting and friendly. The room is very spacious complete with a dresser and closet for your belongings. The bathroom is very big and clean. The apartment is awesome and in a high end and very safe neighborhood. Thank you for making me feel at home

  • A place was very cosy, location is amazing, very safe and sound. We lived there for 5 days and felt as if we are home. Frank is very helpful, supportive and friendly. We gonna come back to this place when we are in NYC. Good luck!

    Elle2017-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed two nights at Sean's apartment. Th place is a small apartment near the water at the upper east side. For the money we paid the location is really great: walking distance from the Met, Guggenheim, central park, and American museum of natural history. There are also nice restaurants and cafés nearby. Communication with Sean went very smooth and he was very flexible regarding our check-in time. You'll share the place with another air bnb'er. Even though the apartment is very small this was absolutely no problem. The kitchen has many appliances (dishwasher, toaster, microwave oven, coffee machine). Overall the apartment could've been a bit cleaner and the bedroom is somewhat small, but apart from this we had a good time here. Would recommend!

  • Great and safe place to stay. Sean was nice letting us to leave our lougage before check up

  • This place was great! The location was amazing! It is a short walk to the subway and only a few stops from Times Square and Penn Station, so that was great to not even transfer on the subway. It was a short walk to The MET and Central Park, if you want to visit there. Lots of great places to eat around the neighborhood. The room was nice and clean and the apartment was overall great. I would defiantly go stay there for future visits to New York.

  • Nice tiny appartment, with a comfy bed (a 2 place bed, not a real queen size) in a very clean room, and a lot of furniture to put clothes and more. A perfect place to sleep. It was not clear to what to do with bedding (was it clean? because we do not have time to go to the laundry outside to have clean bedsheets when we come late in the appartment after a long walk in the city...), or if towels in shared bathroom was for us. Fortunately I bought a "souvenir" towel, so I used it. The bathtub was dirty, so I cleaned up when I arrived. I guess the other traveller wasn't very clean (please, remove your long hair that stay in the bathtub, really...), or they thought they will be alone? Luckily there's a lot of disposable cleaning wipes! The cleanliness also depends on other visitors who share the other room. I would have liked the room door which also close from the outside when we have to go out, because whoever can enter. We didn't use the kitchen, so I cannot say anything about it. The appartment is 15' walk from subway, and the neighborhood is very quiet. It's 30' walk to go to the American Museum of Natural History, through Central Park, so it's not so far. To find the apartment, it's the door behind staircases, on the right of the mail boxes. But I thought the apartment door was very hard to open. Maybe there is a tip to open up easily, dunno. Frank was very helpful, and easy to contact. This is really a good place for a room in Manhattan. We would be glad to come back again, but I saw conditions changed and now it's 4 night at least (we stayed 2 nights).

A studio apt on 5th floor in a walk-up bldg. Suitable for travelers who likes some excise! You can sleep on the loft bed, or another bed can be provided under the loft if you don’t want to be close to ceiling. Convenient Location: Close to subway Q and 6 lines, 1 block to bus stops. Walkable to Central Park and Met museum. I sometimes come inside to drop off/pick up/refill stuff to follow NYC law (Read Summary Section for the detail). Please read the rules and agree with them before you arrive.
My listing has a new look. I just created a loft unit because my previous bed was blocking the fire escape. It’s a studio apartment, but I got more free floor to use because of the loft unit! Please be aware that a new NYC law doesn't allow any host to rent out the entire apt or house, which means hosts must be present while guests are staying. It was issued to protect the hotel industry in NYC. So, I sometimes come to get my ukuleles and stuff to follow the NYC law (Hosts have to be present at some point while guests are staying), but I send a message to let my guests know when I am coming. This is a walk-up apartment building, but the reason why my apartment is quiet and peaceful is because it's the last one in the building, so no one passes by. So many restaurants and stores. There are some antique stores in the neighborhood. It's close to Central Park 79th St entrance. Public transportations: Q, 6, 4, 5 train. 2nd Ave express bus, local bus and 79th crosstown bus and 86th crosstown bus
So many restaurants and stores. There are some antique stores in the neighborhood. It's close to Central Park 79th St entrance.
  • Eva is a pretty nice host also her place, she gives you enough private space and some suggestions about where to go. The apartment is very close to the main subway and Central Park, and also there are many variety choices of dining.

  • The Location is quite convenient for tourists especially those who want to explore the city on foot or by metro. The apt is not big but enough to allow a girl to live in with bath and kitchen facilities. Everything is neat and clean. You can buy cereal and milk for breakfast in the apt. Ema is helpful and kind providing information and tips for me.

  • Robert was incredibly easy to communicate with. The building and the apartment itself have keyless entry which made getting in and out a breeze. Very close to Central Park, The Met, and the subway if you wish to explore even further! Would definitely stay here again

  • Great location for what I needed. Easy to get in, open and had keys waiting, etc. Low points were that no instructions were left for WiFi, TV/Cable was not working, bathroom was not entirely clean (felt that for $120 cleaning fee it was not clean enough), sheets and towels were very old/ratty, and pillows were not comfortable/fluffy.

  • Placed perfectly in Manhattan, by foot you are 5 minutes from the MET, 7 from the Guggenheim. Metro entrance is 1 street away and there is plenty of good restaurants all around. Our guest was perfect with easy communication.

  • Great location, close to metro. Enough space for 4 grownups Check In and check out are automated, so didn't meet the host. Would recommend.

    Marko2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is enough for couples and groups of three, and the location is perfect for families with small kids that look for safety. Central Park is perfectly walkable and there are a supermarket and a pharmacy in the same block, besides many stores and restaurants. We had some issues regarding the cleaning (the apartment was not as clean as it should be) and the keys pickup and Paul responded nicely returning us the money of the cleaning and the extra dollars we spent paying an Uber that had to wait at the locker machine so we could get the keys to the apartment. We were disappointed because we booked the apartment 3 months before so he could have better organised the check-in, but he apologised and thanked our suggestions to improve his service. Everything is basic (sheets, kitchen supplies, furniture...) and the entrance from the street is not the most pleasant but it perfectly works for a couple of busy days in Manhattan. We loved the location!

    María 2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Paul and David were very pleasant and responsive. The apartment was neat and well equipped. The location is very convenient to restaurants and shopping.

    Karen2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is located in a luxurious neighborhood. The apartment has everything you need, the only drawback - it can be noisy at night. Overall, a good option for exploring New York. Paul is attentive and sociable host, there was no problem with communication.

This is a spacious studio right in the quaint Upper East Side of New York City. It is a short walking distance from Central Park, and close to The Frick Collection, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Guggenheim Museum! Restaurants and cafe's nearby are fantastic. Message me for recommendations! Subways are conveniently located nearby. The Q is just two blocks away and the 4 and 6 are less than a five minute walk.
Easy access to the 4,5,6 and the recently expanded 2nd Ave Q train.
  • Alexandra's place seemed nice but we didn't even get in there. I arrived at 12:15 and followed her instructions to get in. One her steps, using the lockbox didn't work- barter was dead and I tried calling her at least 5 times. I then contact Airbnb who then called her. We had to wait 45 mins for her to respond. She didn't and then painstakingly had to find a hotel to stay at. 9 phone calls, an uber, I finally got to the hotel. In the AM, she didn't even say sorry. Not even one text or apology. Be weary of this host! I will say Airbnb handled it well and did remedy the situation by finding me another accommodation for the rest of my stay.

    Rumala2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Location, location, location - this is what counts here. The check-in was flawless, the apartment very clean, the bed and couch are comfy and the air conditioning does its job. The neighborhood is awesome and the deli next door is very good - as well is the small organic food store. Some upgrades on the equipment would be nice, some chairs which you could actually sit on the table with would be nice, currently it bar chairs and a normal table. The building is currently under construction from the outside and there was a quite stinky trash can in the upper hallway. Overall a fair deal having some improvement potential.

    Alex2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying at Alexandra's place. The apartment is clean and the location was everything to me. In the beginning it's a strange feeling not to have any keys on you because all doors have electronic codes but once you get used to that your stay should be a very good experience. Definitely recommend.

  • Alexcadras house is in an amazing location!! Less than 5 mins to central park. The aprtmnt was clean and nice! Unfortunately our problem was with check in. The key was NOT where we agreed it would be. We waited 40 mins with all our luggage under the aprtmnt. During this time alexcandra was not available , avoiding us, and very insensitive to us.

  • Had a great stay at Alexandra's! It was clean and really great, safe location on the Upper East Side. The floors could have been a little cleaner, but everything else was very neat and clean. The wifi was extremely slow, so I just ended up using a lot of data during my stay. Alexandra was a great host and communicated very well with us. I would stay again for the price!

  • Michael was a great host, his place is in Upper East which is one of the most calm and nicest places in Manhattan. It's very close to the park where the NY mayor lives ( Michael's tip ;) and I managed to have a great run alongside the River with fantastic views. When I looked at the map to see where I was I realized I could walk to Central Park , the MET and the Guggenheim which I ended up visitinb and oh boy! to me that made my experience , also the Q line was only few blocks away which I took to go to Times Square . Michael has pets that are well behaved, and the room I slept at had a comfty bed which in essence that's all I needed. Michael was great and communicative for the check in and l even met him in person, we talked about his personal training life in NY and the book he wrote about the mind and the body, so I ended buying a copy which I'm looking forward to read. Great time, experience, location, and very economic , if you don't mind pets then come and stay with Michael for sure!

This listing has everything you need for visiting the greatest city in the world! Located in the center of Upper East Side, it is both quiet and safe. The apartment is close to Central Park, the MET, Guggenheim and many cool bars/restaurants. The Q train (subway) takes 15 mins to get to Times Square (only 3 stops) and broadway shows. HUGE add on is a great private backyard (shared with other room guest, not exclusive). Guests can definitely chill by having a beer at night.
The subway entrance is on the same street - 83rd and 2nd. You have a brand new AC in your own room. Guests will share the living room and bathroom - the apartment has two guest rooms. A lot of opportunity for interaction and getting know others visiting the city. The apartment is in a great area of Manhattan and features a video intercom system, a key fob for entry, and automatically locking doors.
Upper East Side is the safest area in NYC. My street is in a nice, isolated area of the UES that is very quiet and peaceful. The apartment is only a short walk from a riverwalk that goes along the East River and Carl Schurz park (where the Mayor lives!) There is no better area to stay for a relaxing trip.

He was also very easy to reach even when he was out of the city, especially for those small tricks like what to do when the AC was jammed. • Excellent place, she is very nice person , friendly, I come back, next time.

    Walter2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • I thought the location was awesome. Anything you need is pretty much in walking distance. I thought it was very cozy and the pictures Leigh and Eddie have posted pretty much sum up their little place, I just didn't realize that the living space was the top floor and bedrooms are the lower level, which was totally fine. They are very hospitable, and meeting Leigh was nothing but a pleasure. There is a window AC unit and the AC does reach the bedrooms, but since our door was closed, it did get a little warm at times during the night, I was fine, but my husband has a tendency to overheat. Nonetheless, they did place a fan in the bedroom ready and on before we arrived and that was very kind of them.

  • Leigh and Eddie's place was great. It was very clean and conveniently located near public transit. There is also a nice back patio area which I loved. I would definitely recommend staying there. Great value for the price.

  • Wow!!! The apartment was so clean and spacious, the sheets were crisp and Leigh provided us with fresh towels and everything we needed. In the morning she prepared fresh coffee for my mom and I. We really enjoyed spending time in the backyard and her private hot tub was an extra bonus!!! Leigh was a great tour guide and each day provided us with accurate directions. The Subway was only a short walk away and the neighborhood felt extremely safe. If you're looking for a personal touch to your stay in New York this is the perfect apartment. MUCH better than a hotel and totally worth it for the value. This was above and beyond. Thanks again for having us Leigh. The time we had in NY was a blast thanks to you!! ❤️❤️

A medium sized private room with closet/hangers, night stand in a very functional cozy apartment in a very nice area. Living room/kitchen has couch and work-desk with leather chair. Apt is near 6 subway train (77 St station) and Q subway train (72 St Station). Near all restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, bagel, pharmacy, grocery. Only 15 min subway ride to major attractions (Empire State, Times Square, Central Park, Museums) Please clean up during and after your stay. Thank you and enjoy your stay
Only 10 min walk to Central Park, Metropolitan Museum, Guggenheim and many great cafes, restaurants, and subways (6 and Q). Sometimes I will be traveling so my room might be empty or rented to another Airbnb person/couple. So most likely you will share the apartment with another Airbnb guest/guests.
This is a great area on Manhattan - Upper East Side. You can walk to Central Park only 10 min walk and there are many famous museums around: Guggenheim and Metropolitan Museums. There are many great restaurants, bars, cafes, bagel shops, Starbucks, grocery shops and stores around here.

This is my beautiful studio in the Upper East Side. It is bright, sunny, spacious, and extremely well located. Perfect place to base your New York adventure. The building is surrounded by iconic bars and restaurants, and a walk away to the Guggenheim, Central Park, 5th Ave, etc. The Subway is literally one minute away by foot, and Times Square is about 10 minutes away in the Q- train! I am always around, for whatever you need me. Any questions you may have, of course just reach out!
Plenty of space to kick back and relax. Ultra-fast wifi. There is no Cable TV, but there is Apple TV with all basic TV-Streaming apps. Powerful Air Conditioners in Summer (you can turn them off or on). Oil heaters in Winter keep the house warm (you can also turn off or on).
Well.. Have you ever heard of the movies Gossip Girl? Breakfast at Tiffany's? PS I love you? This is the side of New York you see in the movies :)
  • Great place with a great location in the upper east side. Quiet yet close to a lot. Subway station very close. You won't be disappointed!

  • Jamie's place is located at Upper East side, super closed to Central Park and metropolitan museum, just several blocks away. It's nearby Q line or 4,5,6 line, convenient to get any attraction point. Tons of good restaurants is at just right downstairs. It's also close to whole food supermarket if you wanna cook at home. If you wanna grad some breakfast or coffee, there is a Starbucks with several steps. Highly recommend!

  • Jaime went above and beyond for my son and I. He met us at the coffee shop (Java Joe's) around the block to retrieve our bags that the barista Michael stowed for us until we could check in. Jaime helped us carry our bags over to his apt and spent a few minutes getting us settled in. The apt was clean and comfortable. Well within our travel budget. The neighborhood is young professional, residential. Very clean street and a Starbucks right on the corner. We won't hesitate to look Jaime up next time we're heading to The Big Apple!

  • Awesome location 1 block from the new Q line which runs often, also very close to the 4,5 lines! Great for seeing Central Park and surrounding museums. Place itself has a separate living area so lots of space for New York and especially the price/location. Host was very flexible with check in for our late arrival which was much appreciated, would definitely stay again.

  • Staying here was such a breeze everything was so easy. I loved the apartment and the area was amazing as well! Definitely coming back!

  • A clean, comfortable, and convenient apartment. The host was friendly and extremely courteous. He made sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our stay. The location was excellent; a short walk to the Q train meant I could commute to Midtown in around 10 minutes. The apartment was elegantly decorated, relatively spacious (for a 1 bedroom apartment in Manhattan!) and the WiFi was pretty fast which is always a plus. I would happily stay again.

  • We had the best time staying at Jamie's place for our. NYC vacation. We are giving him a star for location - upper east side, right next two the Q line, just a couple blocks from the Met and Central Park. It made getting around so nice. We brought our daughter so we picked the upper east side because it's quieter to come home to. Two stars for the host- he was great at communicating, he helped us with our luggage and was great with check out. He checked in with us half way just to make sure everything was okay. We had no issues and even let us check out a little later. Very accommodating! Another star for the amenities within the unit. For one it's huge for NYC standards. A one bedroom with a full living room, dining area, three piece bathroom and a decent size kitchen. Everything was clean and newish. We didn't cook while we were there so we can't speak to the cooking utensils - but it had a wine and beer opener and glasses so we were happy :-) and our final star is for price. A great price - cheaper than what it could get us at a hotel and much nicer. Thanks Jamie! Hope to visit again

  • Jamie's place was a wonderful stay! The apartment was just as the photos showed, very clean, easy to find, and close to public transit. Jamie was friendly and hospitable, and accommodating of our request for a later check in. The balcony (fire escape) was such a great bonus. Tricky to get out onto, but it made us feel like we were living like real New Yorkers, which made our stay even more fun.
