This experience is offered for couples, engagements, elopements, pre-weddings, family, proposals, and portraits. This experience is in close proximity to water, so you may get wet! Get ready for takeoff! This is one ride you’ll never soon forget. Let’s explore Los Angeles most iconic landmarks from the sky! We takeoff from Torrance Airport whose origins are traced back to World War II. Airborne we will fly over such amazing Los Angeles landmarks, such as the Hollywood Sign, downtown Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and the Californias beautiful coastline. This is a tour flight. However, after you’ve booked you can inquire about making it a lesson where you could take the controls during the flight. Note this is Not possible on all flights. Working with clay is mesmerizing - and challenging. After a tour of the studio, guests will don aprons and sit down at their own wheels to "throw" up to 5 pieces. We work "hands-on," with each person to insure that you make at least 1 or 2 beautiful vessels. If you decide that you want to "finish" your pieces, there are 4 more steps: trimming, bisqueing, glaze and high-firing. The process takes about a month, and the potters at FIRESTICK will do this work for you for a fee of $15 per piece. This price includes a glazing class, if you'd like to come back within 3 months, or you may select your colors (from more than 40 finishes) and we'll glaze for you. After that, we can ship your pottery anywhere in the country. AS A SAFETY MEASURE, ALL POTTERY WORKSHOPS ARE LIMITED TO 8 PEOPLE. Wheels are placed far apart and masks are required. Our studio is "open-air" so dress appropriately! HAND-BUILDING and SCULPTING. Some guests (especially kids under 10) prefer "handbuilding," rather than "throwing on the wheel." Prior to boarding, pose like a seasoned pro for a photo shoot with the airplane. Once you’re on board, the pilot will give you an overview of the instruments and controls. After getting clearance from the tower, you’ll taxi to the runway for takeoff. Once at cruising altitude, you’ll learn basic flying skills in the training area over the Simi Valley. Then, grab hold of the controls and feel free to move about the skies, exploring LA by air. Finally, in preparation for landing, you’ll come back down to earth at Van Nuys Airport. Other things to note IMPORTANT : This experience is currently only offered as a private experience. The guest has to book both spots on the experience and will be allowed to bring an additional guest to sit in the back seat. Only one guest will be in the front seat. I host an urban fishing experience right in the middle of the concrete jungle. Offering a unique experience most locals haven’t even experienced. I will provide all necessary materials. Fishing rods, bait, and any necessary tackle. This is a 2 hour trip and given that it’s all up to the fish there is no guarantee what fish or how many we will catch! I can promise one thing. You will have a great time. You will learn a lot about yourself and your party. Fishing offers a great opportunity for conversation, relaxation, and reflection.
