Holiday Rentals in Vermilion Cliffs

Just booked in Vermilion Cliffs

A stay at Lyman's Place is an authentic western experience. It is a newly restored century-old cabin situated on our 400 acre ranch, centrally located between Zion National Park, Bryce, and the Grand Canyon. You will have stunning daytime views, and unparallel night skies. You can relax around the campfire or hike in our private canyon. Lyman's Place is close to shopping and resturants, yet off the beaten path. It's our hidden gem, a comfortable, relaxing, and one-of-a-kind experience.
Lyman's Place is an original homesteader's one room cabin. Built in the early 20th century, it has recently been restored and finished. It features the original wood plank floors, rough sawn lumber beams and paneling, as well as hand finished cob walls. It functions as a cute and cozy studio, with the entire living, kitchen, dining, and sleeping quarters in one room. It's ideal for traveling couples or adventurous singles. A NOTE ON OUR CANCELLATION POLICY: We started out on AirBnb using the moderate cancellation policy as we wanted to be flexible with our guests, (even though 60% of all AirBnb hosts use the strict policy), but we started getting a lot of cancellations. We had people cancelling close to their dates just because they changed their mind and even not telling us at all why they canceled. So we decided to switch to the strict policy. Even so, we're flexible, not unreasonable. As a general rule, if a guest lets us know that they want to cancel at least 45 days before their reservation, no matter for what reason, we give a full refund. If it's less than 45 days, and it's a matter that's out of the control of the guest, emergency or weather issues, etc. we will will definitely try our best to work with you. We provide simple breakfast items for you like granola, eggs, fruit, yogurt & juice. We also provide tea, coffee, and essentials like oil, spices, etc. There is a well stocked kitchenette which includes all the necessities for cooking. You will have a mini-fridge, microwave, double ceramic hot plate, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, and food processor. There is no regular oven for baking. There are plenty of dishes, pots & pans, & cooking tools to help you make that perfect meal. We also offer essentials like soap, paper towels, tin foil, etc. We try to be as thoughtful as possible in preparing the space to accommodate you. You will have clean, comfortable linens, extra blankets, towels, washcloths, etc. Lyman's Place has a full bathroom, however, only showering is recommended. The current hot water heater is not sufficient to fill the bathtub. You will have enough hot water for about an 8-10 minute shower or longer, depending which shower head setting you are using. You will also need to wait about 30 minutes in between showers for the tank to heat up again, so you may want to plan accordingly.
NOTE: The cabin is in "Cane Beds, AZ", 30 minutes away from "Fredonia, AZ". AirBnb automatically sets the location as "Fredonia" because we share the same zip code. We live in a safe and respectful rural neighborhood. Neighbors here watch out for each other and we will do the same for you. We have lived here for 20 years and cannot remember a single crime being committed in the neighborhood. Emergency responders are here within minutes of being called if necessary. There are cows, horses, and mini-farms and ranches all over. We hope you love the beauty of our rural area. • This cabin is a true gem! It's small and cozy - perfect for a couple looking for a romantic get away. Laura has really done an amazing job decorating and setting up the place. Everything we could possible want or need was there for us. We were even greeted with homemade zucchini bread! Lots of vacation rentals will say that they are "stocked with the basics" but that often is only technically true. Laura really does provide everything. It made for a very relaxing stay. We stayed at the cabin while we were visiting Zion National Park. It's about an hour's easy drive from the cabin, which we made multiple times with no problems. I cannot think of a single bad thing to say about the cabin.

  • Laura and Wes's cabin is awesome. I know that others have written this as well and I'll add to the list: this is the best Airbnb experience we've had (and we've been staying with Airbnb for almost then years)! The cabin is clean, tastefully decorated, and exceedingly well-stocked with essentials and lots of extra goodies as well. Their land is beautiful--just the sort of rural getaway we were hoping for. Not to mention, Laura and Wes are so generous in sharing goji berries, delicious fresh milk, etc. We loved our stay and we'll be back!

  • If anybody is seeking adventure, peace and quiet, and wonderful hosts, plus a great family greeting, quirky, but wonderfully cosy cabin, then this is the place! Superb!

    Les2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • 10/10! The location was amazing, so scenic and quiet! Stayed there for a night on our honeymoon and loved it! Chickens and dogs are the property were a huge plus for us!

    Seth2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best airbnb experience we've ever made. The cabin is extremely cosy, warm and clean. There is everything you could need for cooking or baking. Laura even brought us fresh eggs from a neighboring farm and fresh milk. They even invited us to spend Christmas eve with their family! So if you like nature and you're looking for a relaxing getaway from the city this is definitely the place you should go. Our stay couldn't have been any better!

    David2016-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfectly equipped, cute, cozy cabin in a gorgeous setting. On top of that, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. We came with our dog and we loved having the other dogs around--all very sweet and even joined us for a couple of beautiful hikes that we took up into the canyons behind the cabin. Laura was very communicative, with clear directions, and we would highly recommend this to any couple looking for a romantic and/or adventurous getaway. Wish we could have stayed more than three nights; there's no shortage of exquisite outdoors to explore!

    Justin2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a cozy little cabin in the country. Laura and her family made my wife and I feel at home. We wanted for nothing, as it had already been thought of and provided. Tha lack of a television is offset by having strong wifi. This is better than a sterile 5 story hotel any day of the week

    Mike2017-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • To stay in Laura's cabin is really an authentic experience you shouldn't miss when staying in the area of Zion. Even it's only a small cabin, there is everything you need. Laura was a really friendly and helpful host. Things like a small welcome letter and fresh eggs made us truly feel like home - thank you! :)

  • Leanna is one of the most accomdating and caring hosts that I have had the opportunity to interact with. My friend and I arrived late (10:30) and Leanna stayed up to ensure that we arrived safely and found the casita. She had filtered water, homemade zucchini bread, and fresh eggs waiting for us when we got there. I would gladly recommend anyone stay at this AirBnB.

    Cassy2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at great location equidistant to many national parks. Host was welcoming and very helpful. She gave us eggs from her chickens, fresh baked raisin bread and orange juice in the fridge. There was a cute puppy too

    Chris2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Leanna's cottage is charming and exactly what we were looking for. Within driving distance to Zion, Bryce, and the north rim of the Grand Canyon, the cottage offers a quiet getaway with an incredible view of the stars. Leanna couldn't have been more sweet, offering us a homemade loaf of zucchini bread and some fresh eggs from her chickens, upon our arrival.

    Josh2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Leanna was more than a host, she made us feel like family the instant we arrived with a big hug and a warm welcome. Her guest house is adorable, private, and so cozy and we really appreciated all the artwork and decor. Above and beyond our expectations, Leanna had hard boiled eggs and freshly made zucchini bread waiting for us. In every way, Leanna was a perfect host. We can't wait to come back to see her next time we are in the area.

    Megan2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Leanna was a really sweet host and was very caring! She stayed right next to the cottage and was available for questions and help. The cottage was fully equipped with everything needed for a week-long stay. Thanks especially for the detailed directions to locate the cottage. Great experience overall!

    Cheryl2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a beautiful time at Leanna's Godmother's Cottage. There's so much to explore between zion and lake powell. But most importantly, Leanna is one of the special sweet hearted people that makes a day glow. You'll love it.

    Matt2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Leanna is such a generous, kind and strong woman. This is a beautiful encounter to make on the road, she dedicated her life helping others and she mekes you feel home from the beginning. The cottage is very cosy, comfortable and has everything you need to feel good. The worse part is actually.. When you have to leave !

    Maud 2017-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Leanna was an amazing host!!! Her hospitality (and baking skills) are incredible! She was so sweet and caring and ended up feeding us delicious treats. The cottage is clean and comfortable with everything you need.

  • Cindy was a wonderful host and we loved the farm animals. The place itself is very clean and nicely decorated. Would've loved to stay more nights on this ranch.

    Yu2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very quaint and has any utensils you might need to cook in the kitchen which is fabulous. Don and Cindy are very wonderful hosts and they provide breakfast for everyone in the mornings which they don't have to do! The only thing I would note is that it is out of some cell phone service provider's range so just be prepared for that. They are also in Arizona so if you are planning on traveling to national parks in Utah, know that there's a time change for part of the year every time you cross the border. That just helps plan your day trips. My sister and I had a lovely time at their place!

    Audra2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Sheriff's Quarter was a highlight of our roadtrip. Cindy welcomed us with open arms, making us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The property is wonderful, so peaceful and quiet. We hope to make it back!

    Megan2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • For the price, we thought the place was GREAT. Don and Cindy were super responsive during the whole process. The picture really didn't do the place justice. We were honestly pleasantly surprise. It was also the best equipped kitchen for a small place, we appreciate all the amenities Cindy and Don provided. Our only small comment is the place may be a bit hard to control temperature, there are heating panels and cooling vent but it's definitely a manual balancing act (We were there in Oct where temp swung about 40°F a day). It's really not that bad considering the place and price. We could not get enough of the beautiful scenary all around the ranch. The route to the ranch is rather secluded so we recommend driving when the sun is still out. All in all we thought it was a 4.5 star overall.

    Felyn2017-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Don & Cindy have a FANTASTIC place and they are even more fantastic hosts! I would go as far as to say this is the best Airbnb experience I have ever had. The ranch is so cute and the sheriffs quarters had everything we needed! About a 50 minute drive from Zion, this was the perfect place for us to stay. Nothing better than coming home and relaxing in the jacuzzi after a day of hiking. We will be back!

    Brianna2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to explore and stay for a real and unique/local feeling of Utah. Good location to Zion and surrounding park areas. The sheriff's quarters was so uniquely decorated and had everything we needed for the stay. Loved the ranch animals- chickens, cats, horses, and dogs! Highly recommend.

    Christine 2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is the coolest place in the middle of every national park in the US! Well not quite all of them but Zion, Grand Canyon, Bryce . Close to Vegas, the west and the south rim of the grand Canyon. Great apartment, nestled in the red cliffs of the mountains. Cool ,CLEAN, convenient. Easy check in. Met Don in passing and he was very nice. Bedroom a little tight for two larger adults, but extremely comfortable nonetheless. Will be back to use this for central hiking location.

    Brenda2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Don and Cindy immediately made us feel like family. My sister and I got a bit lost trying to find the house (through no fault of Cindy and Don's), and they literally stood outside in their bathrobes at the end of the driveway to wave us down. We were greeted with hugs and smiles. The location was an easy drive from Zion National Park. Everything was clean, and it was incredibly peaceful. Would highly recommend staying!

  • A really funny and great experience at Jeannes place . She is a lovely host Recommended by both of us Hans Erik and Marianne

    Marianne2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our room was very cozy, and Leanna was an excellent host. She embodies hospitality, and we loved talking with her when we arrived. The house is fairly out of the way. We stayed with Leanna while visiting Zion, which is about an hour away. Overall, we had a great experience!

    Ruthie2017-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Leanna is an amazing hostess, with a heart of gold. She pointed me to little gems I would not have noticed otherwise. Great home and yard to relax between day trips.

    Juliet2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Leanna is a great woman and very kind to us. The garden is quite large with plenty of trees and flowers. There're also some sheeps, chickens, one or two cat and dog. However, everything is organized and the place is quite at night. If you like country life, this is the place to go! The room is full of decoration of cute bears and you have a private bathroom attached. Leanna also provided us several boiled eggs which are delicious and allow us to use the microwave to heat our sandwiches. One thing was we found no signal on our phone when we were on the way here. But we finally found the place even without (Hidden by Airbnb) map by just using the detailed directions that Leanna provides on Airbnb.

    Huamin2017-10-03T00:00:00Z

  • I strongly recommend Don & Cindy's bunkhouse for a secluded getaway which positions you closely to Zion, Bryce, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Grand Canyon and other natural wonders in southwest Utah and northern Arizona. It was as close to camping as you'll get with the added comfort of a more comfortable bed, a roof over your head and a hot shower under the stars. Don & Cindy were very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed meeting the other guests staying in the other bunkhouses, too!

    Jonathan2015-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the bunkhouse!! Don and Cindy were perfect hosts and it was a great experience to stay there! Perfect location! Total glamping experience! Thank you so much!

  • Great stay at the bunkhouse! Rooms were clean and as described. Charming cowboy style, and we'll be back!

    Kathe2016-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a cute bunk house! Perfect for a night before exploring in Zion national park. The solar powered light and outdoor kitchen and shower areas were my favorite! Cindy and Don are such great hosts, they are super friendly and answer any questions you may have in a timely manner.

    Robin2016-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was wonderful. Cindy and Don were welcoming and the bunk house was clean and inviting. The only thing we weren't prepared for was how far the location was outside of Kanab and Fredonia. It wasn't a problem as it is still within a half hour drive of Fredonia, but it is so much closer to Colorado City. We still can't wait to stay here again and loved our experience!

    Kylie2015-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place to stay, Don and Cindy have created a unique, relaxing environment and we really enjoyed our visit. Perfect location for a stop on a tour of the canyons (we broke a trip here between the Grand Canyon and Bryce). Comfy bunk beds, cosy cabin, fire pit, outdoor showers. Recommended!

    Iain2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The bunkhouses were the perfect complement to a 7-day road trip my friends and I did from the Bay Area, CA to Death Valley, the Grand Canyon and finally Zion National Park. The bunkhouses were the last place we rested our heads and it was just perfect. Comfortable beds, good working heaters, clean and private toilets and shower, well stocked shared kitchen area, and all this under a beautiful night sky. This is a great place to stay if you're looking for a comfortable yet affordable, rustic yet modern lodging experience to go along with your outdoor activities.

    Xavier2015-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • We didn't get to meet Don and Cindy, but they were very kind and helpful before arrival, and ready to answer all questions and doubts by phone at any time. The ranch is beautiful, the bunkhouses comfortable and super clean (bring earplugs if you have a light sleep) and the common spaces are just great to have some rest in the evening looking at the stars, roasting marshmallows over the pit fire and talking with other guests. There's a big supermarket nearby and wifi works flawlessly (for those concerned about the absence of cell phone service). We enjoyed our stay very much and we'll keep this address as a reference for the future!

Stuart Farm is a three acre farm with a newly renovated five bedroom farmhouse in Cane Beds, Arizona. This area is one of the last great wilderness areas in Northern Arizona. If you want to get away from it all and get out in nature, this is the place. Located near the Arizona/Utah border, Stuart Farm is just around the corner from the Coral Pink Sand Dunes and about 45 min from Zion Park. We are an hour and a half away from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon or Bryce Canyon.
Stuart Farm is a three acre property that will feel like your very own country home. The main house renovation was just completed in August of 2017 and contains many modern features. The main house is about 1800 sq. ft.; fully furnished with everything that you need to enjoy a comfortable, relaxing stay. The Farm has an orchard, vineyard, greenhouse, private sauna and seasonal garden. In the summertime, we invite you to help yourself and enjoy any of the fruit and vegetables that are grown on the property. The Farm offers stunning mountain views, spectacular sunsets and glorious night sky's showcasing millions of stars. The farm is located next to a very rare "International Dark Sky Region" which is specifically protected for its distinguished quality of starry nights, superb views of the milky way and natural nocturnal environments. These areas are becoming more and more rare as light wash from nearby cities and towns drown out the ability to see the night sky with the naked eye. These regions only exist in a few remote places in the western part of America and scientists tell us than in less than ten years our area will be only one of two places left in the United States where dark skies will truly exist. This is something that you must see and if you are an enthusiast, bring your telescope and really enjoy something you may not have seen before. The farm is located on ancient Anasazi Indian ruins. It is said that over 10,000 Indians once lived in the Cane Beds valley. If you hike around the property, you may find arrowheads and ancient pieces of broken pottery. Petroglyphs are carved on the surrounding cliffs and caves can be seen where Indians once lived. If you find any Indian artifacts, please leave them where you found them. It is considered very bad luck to take Indian artifacts off of the land and as the Indians say, "Take only what you need, but leave the land as you found it". The farm is home to many wild animals including huge jackrabbits, deer, coyotes, cows grazing out on the east range and a herd of resident big horn sheep on the north ridge. There is also a family of big toads that live near the house patio that come out in the evenings to say hello and eat bugs. They are our friends, so be kind to them and leave them untouched in their element. Because we are out in the wilderness, the farm is also home to a large array of bugs, crickets, spiders, bees and the occasional snake. Most of the snakes are good snakes and keep rodents away from the property, but the rare rattlesnake has been seen in the area, so be mindful of where you are walking and always take precaution. Mother Nature has given us an abundance of gifts and we hope that you enjoy all of them. We only ask that you honor and respect the land; leaving it untouched. The house is fully furnished and the kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, dishes and appliances. We have provided the basics for cooking such as salt, pepper, sugar, spices, oil, etc. You will only need to bring in the food that you will be eating. We have a second refrigerator/freezer in an adjacent butler's pantry off of the dining room for overflow. We also provide a complimentary bottle of wine, as well as coffee, tea, sugar and creamer. The home provides linens, hand soap, toilet paper, trash bags and cleaning supplies. There is a washer and dryer with complimentary laundry supplies and an iron and ironing board. The house comes with wireless internet and we have installed a cell booster so that your cellular phone will reach a signal. Additionally, we have provided a Television with Direct TV and a Roku box so that you can access Netflix, Hulu, etc. Four of the bedrooms are on the second floor along with a bathroom. Guests should be comfortable using stairs to access those sleeping areas. A queen bedroom is on the main floor along with a second bathroom for guests that would rather not use the stairs. Additionally, there is a pull-out sofa bed available on the main floor.
The Arizona Strip has long been a cattleman's paradise with large stretches of grassy meadow in the valleys and the high Kaibab plateau as summer forage. At the beginning of the 20th century the Grand Canyon Cattle Company ran upwards of 100,000 cattle throughout the strip to graze. Today, the area consists mostly of small ranchers raising herds for market. The Canebed's area has been cattle ranching country since the mid-19th century. Many of the original ranching families still live here as they have for generations and occupy the cattle grazing lands. Our neighborhood is nestled at the base of the red sandstone mesa known as Lyon's Point. Many of the neighbors have lived here for a long time and enjoy the peace and escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Neighbors watch out for each other and will do the same for any guests staying at Stuart Farm.
  • We didn't have a lot of time to enjoy the spot since we were just passing through on our way to the Grand Canyon to rest our heads for a few hours for the night, but it was easy to find and the beds were amazing!

  • The farm is a fantastic place to stay! 90 minutes away from the Grand Canyon and only an hour away from Zion National Park. The view from the farm is stunning, and there is plenty of hiking in the area!

  • We truly enjoyed our stay at Penny's house. The house was very clean and in gorgeous surroundings. The views are just unbelievable. Penny was also very responsive and welcoming. The jacuzzi was great, the beds were comfortable, and we also really enjoyed the roof deck. Penny's place is the perfect place to enjoy nature, and we'd certainly recommend it to anyone else looking to stay in the area!

  • Very beautiful farmhouse surrounded by mountain ranges. We had coffee on the deck and enjoyed the view there. The house is well maintained, very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well stocked with bottle water, coffee and various cooking necessities. We had a great time there and were very enjoyed! Hope we can all come back again someday!

  • This is a truly a unique place to stay if you are visiting the area. Anything you might need for a comfortable stay is included. Very quite area and very private. The garden has provided us the vegetables we needed and the pear tree had lots of pears to enjoy. The hot tub helped us relax in the evening after we spent the days at zion and grand canyon (north rim) national parks. And the sky in the evening is just indescribable, make sure you reserve time to watch the stars... Internet speed (wifi) is good enough to stream videos which is surprising since the location is a little remote. Verizon cell service worked fine too (3G). We could easily spend more days here if we could :) I am not gonna go into the details of the house not to spoil some of the pleasant surprises that will be waiting for you :) The description provided is very accurate and any questions you might have is answered by the host very quickly. Stay here, you will not regret it.

  • Penny's place is very beautiful. If you need something close to Zion national park area, this is a great place. Place is very spacious and very well maintained. This is definitely value for money if you are a big group. Penny is very responsive to all messages and is an amazing host. Would love to stay again for multiple nights. I would recommend this place.

  • This home is in a beautiful and quiet setting slightly off the beaten path near Kanab UT. Perfect spot for our requirements! The host is an excellent communicator and quick to respond to questions. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

  • I can't say enough how amazing Don & Cindy's was to stay. The camper was so clean it could of been brand new; with a fully functioning bathroom and kitchen, cool A/C, and the most comfy bed. And the great outdoor areas - I had my own private area outside the camper and the shared common area - it was perfect! Even though the shower in the camper was available I chose the outdoor shower - at night under the stars - the showers are well lit and very clean. Location is perfect for quiet or close by adventures in the national parks. I only stayed one night but I'm looking forward to going back for a longer stay!

  • Don and Cindy houses one of the greatest Airbnb services that my friend group and I have experienced. First off the property and the actual Airbnb was clean and up-to-par with hotel standards of cleanliness. Along with a superb place of stay, they're interactions have been memorable and was a perfect mix of openness and privacy. Our interactions included warm welcomes with open arms, and invites to a private gathering with their friends and family which felt so surreal and cinematic. Their Airbnb overall was an amazing experience from meeting new people along with their stories, glamping under the stary nights, and endless memories.... this has been my favorite overall. We will return with more friends and even family, to join us in an unforgettable experience. Thank you so so so much Don and Cindy. Y'all have changed the game :)) keep doing you ☺️

    Jacob2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place was truly home away from home. Don, Cindy, others staying at the ranch, and the animals created such a comfortable, warm, and safe environment. I was staying by myself in the camper and it was such an amazing and life changing experience. The view at and around the ranch was indescribable. I would recommend this place to anyone. Breakfast was served everyone morning along with great conversation with other travelers and Don and Cindy. The animals were so sweet and welcoming too. Definitely book it! I know I will be coming back because I loved it so much and heard nothing but great things from others staying there too. Everyone shared info on good places to go, eat, and hike, which was super helpful for me being completely new to the area. The camper was super awesome and had everything I needed. I even had my own lighted gazebo and DVD players with provided DVDs.

    Brianna2017-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • I had such a great stay with Don & Cindy. Their property is very secluded and peaceful, but very easy to access from main highways. I felt very safe and comfortable as a solo female traveler. The camper was a perfect base for a week of exploring Zion and Bryce Canyon. It was very convenient to have a refrigerator and range for cooking so I could spend as little time as possible worrying about food storage and prep. I didn't do much cooking, but the kitchen in the camper is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and basic spices. There is a great outdoor seating area with a fire pit; I didn't get a chance to use it, but it was nice knowing the option was there. I will definitely be coming back to this part of the country in the future and hopefully Don & Cindy will have the camper available :)

    Kathryn2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is my absolute favourite Airbnb by a landslide. Cindy and Don are generous, kind, and accommodating individuals with great humour. They made us feel welcome as soon as we drove in. The camper and common areas were represented well in the photos. I was amazed by how well planned and clean the areas were, and we're talking about outside areas! We had a fire pit, a BBQ, and a kitchen stuffed with utensils and spices. Breakfast was provided from 7-9am. I loved snuggling with their many cats, roasting marshmallows, and conversing with the hosts and other travellers. My party of three enjoyed the camper for 6 nights, and took day trips to the Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Zion, and Bryce Canyon. I would love to return to this place, thank you Don and Cindy for having us! Note: the camper has 1 queen bed and 2 single beds as bunk beds. The bunk beds are surrounded by walls and a low ceiling, which may be cramped for adults.

  • Everything about our stay was perfect, we only wish it had been for longer. We are a family of 4 and we stayed 1 night in the trailer which was comfy, extremely well equipped (Cindy has thought of everything!) and was spotlessly clean. We loved the grill and fire pit and our children sat toasting marshmallows and reading South Western Cowboy Poetry from a beautiful book inside the trailer. The communal area was wonderful for the complimentary breakfast and we all enjoyed an evening soak in the hot tub. The location was ideal to enjoy a peaceful desert sunset and as a base to explore Zion. We received a very warm welcome from Cindy's son Dub and also from neighbouring Michael who kindly gave us delicious tomatoes & onward directions. Cindy is a wonderful host who is kind, welcoming and genuinely wants to ensure all of her guests have the best time. This was one of our favourite places to stay and we've been travelling for 6 months. Thank you so much:-)

  • This was our first AirBnB experience and it was great. Cindy and Don were very welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The ranch is located in Cane Beds which is approximately 1 1/2 hours from the the Grand Canyon North Rim, and approximately 40 minutes from Zion National Park, our destinations for the trip. We stayed in the 25' camper with a total of four (two adults and two adult sized teenagers). The camper was clean with a nicely equipped kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom is small which we were familiar with prior to making the reservation, and we chose to use the outdoor showers and bathrooms located near the other bunkhouses on the ranch. The outdoor showers are AWESOME! The common areas are a great place to hang out and we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. Cindy and Don were very helpful in helping us with local information during our stay. This is a link to a video of the area immediately around the ranch I filmed during our stay (Website hidden by Airbnb) .

The apartment is a recently remodeled 800sq/ft space attached to the bigger home, which is also a vacation rental. Great Stargazing! It has it's own private entrance, kitchen, living space, full bathroom and bedroom. It is in a quiet rural neighborhood, with beautiful views. Has WiFi, High Speed Internet. Close to: Zions National Park -1 hr; Grand Canyon, North Rim -2 hrs; Bryce Canyon -2 hrs; Coral Pink Sand Dunes -20 min; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary -30 min.
Our rental is in a Quiet rural area, surrounded by nature, nearby to many state and national parks. A great place to rest after hiking or to just stay and enjoy the surrounding area.
Our neighborhood is in a rural area. There are about 20 homes and we are the furthest in from the road and up against the red mountains. It's a great place to get away from the city and be in nature. It is a peaceful place, great for watching the sunset or star gazing. Since our neighborhood is in the country, there is a large array of insects, including: crickets, beetles, grasshoppers, toads, stink-bugs, houseflies, daddy-long legs, house spiders, etc. You may also hear dogs barking, roosters crowing, and cows or horses. On the moutain behind the house, there are often bighorn sheep. In the evening, you might see deer grazing in the front yard. We do have some snakes in our area. Most of these are harmless, but there some are poisonous snakes. Be watchful when you are hiking and exploring.
  • Such a wonderful place. Wanted to stay more. I want to recommend Alan’s place to everyone who’s visiting Canyons.

  • Alan's place was just what we were looking for! A ranch with a backdrop of rock formations and cattles. It took our mind off to enjoy the peace and quiet side of nature. Alan's place was well stocked with everything you could think of in the kitchen and bathroom. He was friendly, engaging and we wished we could spend more time there

  • This is the best Airbnb house I have ever stayed. Landlord Alan is very friendly and nice to provide almost everything that customers may need potentially. His hospitality made our whole trip wonderful. By the way, although the location is a little bit remote, we experienced the beautiful country side of Arizona. Alan recommended us to take an other way to Bryce Canyon and the view was amazing! I hope all the landlords can be just as awesome as Alan that guides us to adventures and surprises!

    Vivien2017-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Alan was such a welcoming host. He directed us to a local grocery store and had a great recommendation for how to get to Zion from his place. The apartment was spacious and well supplied as well as spotless, comfortable and reasonably priced. They also have a house which sleeps 16 and looks absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend this as a great place to make home base while visiting Zion, Bryce, and North Rim.

Our little house is a fun rustic getaway off the beaten path. It is in a quiet, rural neighborhood on one acre with amazing views. It is a great place to come and relax after your days adventures in the nearby Parks. The night sky is incredible. You can see the stars and you can listen to the crickets, cows, and possibly coyotes at night. The house has a Washer and Dryer. WiFi and High Speed Internet.
The house is about 900sq/ft. There are two bathrooms, one on each end of the house. It has a flat screen TV to which you can attach your computer. The kitchen has a stove and full size refrigerator.
This is a very quiet neighborhood with great star viewing.
  • The little rustic house far exceeded our expectations. We stayed for three nights and the place was always so warm and comfortable to come home to. Highly recommend!

  • I ended up staying at Alan's other place at the end of the road and it was truly amazing. Clean comfortable with the mountain scenery behind it. Just so peaceful and breathtaking. The place was huge with large rooms and tons of bedrooms and sleeping space and a large outside yard. Clean and comfortable. It was a perfect location for me as I wanted to see everything north and south or Arizona.

  • Alan was a great host. My wife and I stayed in his beautiful little house for two nights during our honeymoon. Apparently we were the first to stay in this location and some things were not ready. Alan let us know about an issue with the gas and internet as soon as we booked our visit. it was not a problem for us and everything was fixed the next day. not having internet or cell service gave us a chance to disconnect from technology and enjoy each other. Alan also told us we were free to hike the butte across the street. The view was awesome from every direction. We even had a little camp fire in the front yard. It felt like we had a vacation dog as the neighbors dog loves welcoming guests. Above all else, Alan made sure we enjoyed our stay.

It sits on 5 acres and backs up to the red cliffs which provide for some nice hiking. It is away from the city lights so it is a great location to watch the sunset and then do some Star Gazing. It has a spacious kitchen with the essentials. WASHER and DRYER are available for no charge.
Our house has four bedrooms on the main floor. A large kitchen and large living area. There are three bathrooms, one with a shower/tub combination another with a large bathtub with hand held shower head. The third is downstairs and has a shower. • We loved our stay at Alan's place. The house was neat, clean, spacious and perfectly suited for our family vacation. The location was well situated for day trips to Zion National Park (1 hr) and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (2 hrs). After a day of hiking we loved coming back to the house to get cleaned up, enjoy a home-cooked meal, and hang out as a family. Alan was a wonderful host and went out of his way to make our stay exceptional. He even brought out a bike for us to use so we could keep up with our daughter, a college cross country runner, as she continued her training on vacation! We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at the Red Cliff Ranch. The house was spacious, in good condition, clean, and stocked with everything we needed during our five night stay. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone!

  • The house was great! Very spacious! Loved the view of the rock mountain. Alan was VERY responsive. He and his wife were very helpful and kind. I would defiantly stay here again. A couple notes, please ONLY use (Hidden by Airbnb) maps to find the location. If you use any other map you will go to the wrong location. This is about 2 hours to the Grand Canyon and 2 hours to Zions.

  • Alan was a wonderful host. He was available at all times to answer any questions and provide help with anything that we needed, including directions to the home as well as to the nearby attractions. Alan even provided us with fresh supply of bottled water. The home was very charming and clean, perfect for our extended family of 10. The layout of this home was very nice in a rustic setting, with a beautiful private hiking trail in the backyard that led to the top of the Red Cliffs mountain. The central location of this beautiful home made it possible for us to visit three different National Parks, without having to stay anywhere else overnight. I would recommend this home to anyone who is travelling to either Bryce, Zion or the North Rim.

  • This was great! Very secluded, off the beaten path but not too far from Southern Utah's and Northern Arizona's beautiful sights! In fact, it backs right up to a huge red rock cliff! The house and property is large - this would be great for vacationing with extended family, having plenty of room to spread out or gather. Large kitchen area open to the dining and some seating make for great times with groups of family or friends!

Come experience the west at our "Rainbow Shackteau". Once a run-down shack, now "renewed" in a colorful palette of reclaimed woods and architectural salvage. You'll have goats and chickens for neighbors and the old windmill to sing you to sleep at night. Stars abound in our open night sky, and morning walks up our private canyon offer a one-of-a-kind experience. The Shack is centrally located to Zion, Bryce, and the Grand Canyon, and the perfect home base for your parks adventures.
Every part of the"Rainbow Shackteau" (aka "The Shack") has been hand finished with detailed craftsmanship. From the spacious deck made from industrial pallets to the vintage tin wainscoting, the space is as unique as the ranch itself. We also provide coffee, tea, essentials, and everything we can to make the shack feel like home. We have been AirBnb hosts since 2016 and love meeting our guests and offering them a unique experience.
NOTE: The Shack is in "Cane Beds, AZ", 30 minutes away from "Fredonia, AZ". AirBnb automatically sets the location as "Fredonia" because we share the same zip code. We are just a few minutes away from shopping and restaurants. We live in a safe and respectful rural neighborhood. Neighbors here watch out for each other and we will do the same for you. We have lived here for 20 years and cannot remember a single crime being committed in the neighborhood. Emergency responders are here within minutes of being called if necessary. Such a beautiful room and the bed felt like we were on cloud 9! The fridge and water were also very helpful to have on our road trip. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

  • When a group of my friends and I decided to reunite to see the National Parks, we wanted the weekend to be special. Our weekend was special and memorable thanks to Colt's hospitality. The experience did not disappoint, as we were beaming with how great of a host he was. I found the RV listing and pictured it to be a great spot for our mixed group looking for a glamping "Utah" experience under the stars. At first, we were hesitant since there were no reviews yet for a new user, but as soon as we started communicating we were relieved that Colt was an outstanding communicator and truly wanted us to have the best experience as possible. This was clear in the constant communication, his ability to fulfill requests we asked for (several options to setup camp with details I wanted, refilling water, step-by-step directions) and requests we didn't even ask for (campfire, cooking supplies, volunteering his kayaks, clean campfire setup, options and tips), the list goes on and on. He also gave really helpful tourism and travel advice, letting us know the great sites in the area. Three words to describe Colt are: accommodating, personable, and helpful. If you're looking for a true host who wants your stay to be enjoyable, I highly recommend Colt.

  • Awesome place! I would definitely stay here whenever I go to Zion Canyon. This place is very relaxed. Colt replied in a few minutes when I sent a message and he even offered to use his kayaks Thanks!

  • Colt is very nice and gave helpful instructions for us to find the RV. The location is convenient and has great views. Colt prepared campfire and chairs. We really enjoyed our stay at the RV and will definitely come again next time.

  • Colt was a great host! He went out of his way to welcome us, offered suggestions for local food and attractions and was a great communicator! Everything was just as advertised. We couldn't have been more pleased with all of the arrangements.

  • Don & Cindy were very helpful. We had to check in late at night, but she was still there to meet us and show us around. The place itself is one-of-a-kind! You get to stay in a tent while enjoying all the modern amenities Don & Cindy have to offer (there's a jacuzzi!). 100% would stay here again.

  • It was a great experience. Clean and warm. Stayed dry, even in he rain, they offered a bunk room in case we were uncomfortable with the rain, but it posed no issues. Had a great time!

  • This teepee was majestic. My friend and I stopped by for a night on our cross country trip. We had been tent camping/ground sleeping for 9 nights at the point in which we got to don & cindy's. So this beautiful authentic bed filled oasis was great. They provided towels firewood, bedding and even breakfast! We felt like we were absolutely taken care of. And to finish it off the night sky and view were breath taking! We got to see our second shooting star of our trip here so it holds a special place in our hearts<3

    Sarah2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful rural retreat with cabins, luxury quarters, and teepees. Don & Cindy are so warm and welcoming and their pets are adorable! Really enjoyed my stay in the teepee! #thereisalwaysafirsttime

  • 1. Cindy and Don are super freindly. You will experience something great if you visit this place. 2. We stayed in the Tipi which was amazing. Wear long sleeves to sleep if you are afraid of cold at night. 3. Free breakfast. (cereal, milk, bread, toster, butter, strawberry jam, hot sauce, scrambled eggs, ketchup, all types of fruits) 4. Jacuzzi which we did not use but seem so cool. 5. Shower house is the best I have experienced. 6. Free bottle waters in the fridge and also chocolate, crackers and marshmellow. 7. There are fire placed in front of almost every bunk house and Tipi. 8. The way to this place is very beautiful and scenery as well.

  • We stayed in the tipi, and it was much nicer than expected. It had comfortable beds and wifi, which was a surprise. The area is remote and beautiful... we saw an incredible sunset and enjoyed watching the starts. The bathrooms were obviously separate, but very clean and nice. The outdoor kitchen was great and we were able to feel like we were camping but still have all the comforts and conveniences of a regular place. I really enjoyed it. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful and Don and Cindy were extremely nice and welcoming. They did a great job of helping us find the place and were communicative the whole time. I'd recommend staying here to anyone.

    Gwyne2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great experience. Cindy & Don are very friendly and accomodating folks. Their ranch is part of a small community tucked in a gorgeous range of mountains. On a clear night, you will see a sky like no other - breathtaking. The ranch itself is very well-organized and maintained, especially for a remote area. Complimentary breakfast & a charging station were great amenities, but the outdoor jacuzzi with LED lighting took the cake (great for star-gazing too). Location is within decent distance to Zion National Park, as well as many nearby beauties to see/explore. Thanks a bunch!

    Anthony2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Don & Cindy's tiki is an incredibly unique place to stay! The beds are so comfortable, everything is clean and the ranch is beautiful. We had a great time hanging out with everyone and their ranch animals. Wish we could've stayed longer, definitely recommend!

  • Overall: The experience was awesome. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and made everything easy. The central location provides easy access to number of different sites. The centralized nature of the common amenities resulted in some great interactions with other guests. We had a great fire pit conversation with a Spanish couple. Pros: Feels like camp as a kid. Stunning views of local redrock. Bathroom was spotless. All the little extras are accounted for. Would return in a heartbeat. Cons: Only one. A rooster, on another property. You have been warned. :-) Only thing: They spell out everything you should expect. And they everything was 100% accurate or better than expected. But that's what you get. It's wonderful, and different.

  • This place was really special! We arrived later in the evening and couldn't fully take it all in til morning came, and boy was it beautiful! A great little backyard area with 4 cabins situated in a quasi-campsite. Cindy's welcome was great; she wasn't there in person (as we expected) and we used the directions she gave to give her a call. We chatted for a bit and she made sure everything was OK, which it was. The bathrooms were nice and clean, the shower was good with hot water, and there's a kitchen area with a fridge. One slightly negative thing: the rooster! There was a rooster nearby (I assume he's a permanent resident of the ranch) who was more than eager to demonstrate his rooster-ness by cockadoodledooing at the crack of dawn. My friend and I both could have used an extra two hours of sleep but that rooster was not feeling it. He was going off for at least 45 minutes. I don't think it's worth taking off a whole star from the review though, but it is something to consider. Also, even though there was pretty much every other amenity, there were no electrical outlets. Again not worth losing a star over, but make sure you plan ahead a bit so you don't run your electrical items out of juice and have no way to recharge them the next day! Overall, viewing this place more towards 'camping' than a typical AirBNB experience, it's definitely 5 stars!

  • I was able to make initial contact with the Wallaces' but after I got off track and was unable to make it to their bunkhouse it seemed like the phone numbers I had were disconnected and I couldn't speak directly to them.

  • Don and Cindy's ranch was so quaint and relaxing! This place is perfect for the traveller who wants to stay off the beaten path but still have access to amenities you wouldn't while camping. What a beautiful place with extremely welcoming hosts! I definitely want to come back someday!

  • Best stay ever! Great hospitality, healthy breakfast, well prepared and maintained place, loved the fire places. We would love to come back. Definitely, we are happy to share the place with everyone we know. Highly recommend going there. We enjoyed talking to Cindy who is an amazing host, introduces herself with a warm hug and makes you feel home. I wish if we could stay longer.

  • Very unique experience. Love it.

    Huan2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down the best Airbnb I've stayed in (and I've stayed in a fair few). The bunkhouse is a neat space for two with plenty of ventilation. They go out of their way to equip the bunkhouse with everything you may need - including maps to the Parks, info on AZ/UT time zones etc. Other bunkhouses surround you, and there is a (wonderful) common area between them with fire pits and grills, picnic tables and benches -- here's where you'll likely bump into all the other travelers, and become a part of their journey, right under the stars. There's a nicely stocked cabinet with plates, cups, silverware and cooking utensils in the outdoor kitchen area. (Buy groceries and go over so you can make yourself some nice dinner). The outdoor shower (and the experience of showering in the sun/under the stars) might be the best thing about living in the bunkhouse! When we arrived, Cindy and Don were out of town but we were well cared for by the kind soul that is Michael -- he's got a heart as big as the cloudless skies. Getting to know him was such a treat. When Cindy did arrive, she greeted us with a warm hug. She was absolutely lovely to chat with and get to know. She made us feel so welcomed -- few hosts are so genuinely interested in talking to and getting to know her guests. We enjoyed very much the breakfast, the sunrise and sunsets, the starry sky, the ranch sounds and lovely cats and dogs, the views and the whole experience. I consider myself lucky to have had the chance to stay here and feel such peace and joy. Definitely going back if I ever have the chance.

  • What a great place and what lovely hosts. Don and Cindy will make you feel truly welcome and the bunkhouses are comfortable, spacious and very homely. Also, the kitchen area is wonderfully equipped and outdoor shower rather luxurious. Combined with the wonderful location, close to Zion and Bryce, and great setting - I cannot wait to come back here. And a big thank you to Don and Cindy for their hospitality.

    Stefanie2015-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Pros: - Great directions to find the Ranch (make sure to print them out- cell service is limited/nonexistent) - Easy check-in process even though we arrived later than expected (around 11PM) - Very clean room, extra blankets, snacks, water bottles, information about the area- lots of nice little extras that made the experience even better. - The outside firepit, roaming horses, chirping crickets, outdoor shower, outhouses, etc definitely made the experience unique and one that I would recommend everyone to experience! Cons: - The wifi signal was very slow. I wasn't there to be on my phone/computer, but I could see that being a problem for some. - From about 5:15AM-6:30AM there was a man weed- wacking/lawn-mowing about 20 feet from our bunkhouse (luckily it started raining at 6:30, so he stopped the weed-wacking!). It was so loud, there was no way myself or my friend could have slept through it. I spoke with Cindy about it in the morning and she said that it rarely happens and she was very sorry about it. Even with this, I would definitely return to the Coral Pink Horse Ranch (with earplugs!), it was a magical experience and one that I wish I had more time to explore! (Also, we checked out Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend while we were there- both were beautiful and I would definitely recommend!!)

  • This is the perfect place for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle of everyday life. Easy accessability to Zion, Bryce and North Rim. Cindy and Don are amazing hosts and make you feel like you are part of their family. The quiet star filled nights remind you how truly beautiful the American West is.

  • If you want a deluxe rural camping experience, this is the place to go. The reservation process was so easy with immediate reply and welcome. The directions given were very complete and made getting there a breeze. The welcome from Don and Cindy was complete with smiles and hugs - felt like coming home to family. The bunkhouse (and all facilities) was extremely clean, comfortable and cosy (cute too!). With the four bunkhouses which were all rented when we were there, a sense of community developed among those of us there at the same time - especially around the campfire in the evening. The well supplied meal prep area allowed us to mix with other campers and we found everyone to be very generous and sharing (just use our milk, try this, we have too much of this - have some, etc). It was refreshing using the outdoor shower and felt SO good, always lots of hot water. Our hosts were always available, either in person or by phone, to answer any questions, give suggestions and directions, and went out of their way to to assist us in any way. We felt very safe here, which is always a concern when travelling off the beaten path. My husband especially enjoyed going hiking with Don and Cindy. We found this bandb to be as good or better than advertised, would recommend it to others looking for this kind of experience - a 5 star rating from both of us. We would definitely go back if our journey took us in that direction.

  • The Coral Pink Horse Ranch is a little spot of heaven. It was clean, comfortable, and perfect. Cindy was incredibly sweet, communicative, and a pleasure to work with. We even made friends by the fire our first night there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling out this way. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

    Dawn2015-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • I was really only here for a few hours in between Moab and a sunset hike at the Grand Canyon, but I was very comfortable in this little bunkhouse. I really appreciated the directions Cindy gave me; I arrived during an EPIC storm and would have surely been lost without her specific instructions. Unfortunately, due to the storm I didn't really get to explore the property, but when I woke up at 2AM to leave for my Grand Canyon hike, I heard wolves howling at the moon, which was really cool. I'd love to come back here in fairer weather, maybe when I come back for Zion!

  • Wonderful! I stayed in bunkhouse #4 for 2 nights with my mother while we were on a road trip to Zion and Bryce. Such a perfect spot! We wanted to camp but weren't able to bring a tent, so this was a wonderful "step up" from camping. The starry skies, campfire, and outdoor shower were our favorites. Highly recommend, especially for such a great price!
