Andersens Boulevard brings you to the inspiration behind the Disney theme parks, the famous Tivoli amusement park and pleasure gardens dating from 1843 (main entrance Vesterbrogade). Here, you'll find more than 20 attractions including a roller coaster; roundabouts; halls of mirrors.”

“This is basically just a park, but one to visit. Underneath the park is the catacombs that used to be used as the water supply for Copenhagen many years ago (you can visit, but its cold downthere). Nowadays Søndermarken is a park with tall grass, lots of buzzing bees and the best science festival in Copenhagen, called Bloom (only three days a year). Its directly opposit Copenhagen Zoo. ”

“An old water reservoir that is currently being used for exhibitions. It is a fascinating place in itself, but combing it with art exhibitions which utilises the space can really make quite an impression. It also happens to be close to mine:)”

“Sønder Boulevard on Vesterbro got a serious facelift in 2007, which resulted in a long, green belt with endless possibilities for activities for all ages. The goal with the makeover was to create an attractive and green city space on Vesterbro. The mission proved highly succesful as the boulevard today is one of Vesterbro's most popular recreational areas and hang out spots filled with shopping and great cafés. There are playgrounds, artificial grass for ball games and a field with asphalt for biking, etc. The strip stretching from one end to the other compose a perfect area for kids to run and play.”

“Swim in the city harbour. When the summer gets too warm – do as we do! Jump in the harbor for a swim at Kalvebod Brygge or Islands Brygge. You can also ride your bike to the beach at Amager Strandpark or all the way to Charlottenlund Bellevue Beach.”
