“Permanent exhibition of a naivist artist Paul Kondas who was a very inspiering person in his way of thinking and expressing hidden messages at the time of Soviet regime. Plus temporary spectacular exhibitions by contemporary artists. Personal and warm approach by the stuff.”

“The castle ruins are dignified. Astonishing view and place to hang out and relax. Plus the historical value of the fact that it was the most durable fortress in Estonian history. ”

“If Italian wood fired pizza and beer is your idea of a good time Amrita is for you. Amrita caters for all diets from the hearty meat eater through to the humble vegan. Pizzas can be ordered with diary cheese (or vegan cheese). The prices are reasonable and the service is very friendly. Seating's available inside or out on the rear deck. Don't forget to order an Estonian beer with your Italian pizza. Our suggestion is to try a slightly alcoholic "Kali" drink with your pizza for an interesting surprise.”

“Rimi is one of the largest, most stocked, modern supermarkets in Viljandi. The other is Selver. If Rimi fails, try Selver instead. Rimi is located within a small shopping mall in Viljandi (Uku Keskus - more modern than Centrum). The store is comparable to Woolworths or Coles in Australia. Rimi run by Rimi Baltics (Latvia) which is a subsidiary of Swedish ICA Group.”
