“The Chalet is actually not the main attraction, its the 180 degree view of the city. Take Serpentine path , or Camille Houde trail to access the Mont Royal Chalet , the paths along the way will also make you pass by Beaver lake ( how Canadian eh ! ). You can lounge / run / bike here during the summer or have some winter fun on the outdoor ice rink.”

Bakery

“Mamie Clafoutis is by far my favourite bakery! They make me blush every time I go in because I love them so much. They have perfected the quiche. J’adore le petit quiche pour une petit déjeuner. The grilled vegetables with goat cheese is like ratatouille in a quiche. C’est magnifique. Thé clafoutis, quiche, baguettes, crossaient, breads, everything is amazing! There is a sitting area above the bakery with wifi in where one can work and eat. I saw a lady with a Tuna sandwich on a baguette with a coffee on a tray last week. I was envious of her as I took my quiche to go. It looked delicious. I have friends who spend their breakfast and/or lunch here while working. I’ve only ever ordered to go but it’s a great place to stay. ”

Bagel Shop

“Hot bagels out of the oven! Sesame seed is traditional Montréal style. Grab a warm bagel and a cream cheese to go and eat it as soon as you walk out on the street. Possibly grab a coffee from Cafe Neve on the way. I like to stock up and buy a dozen and freeze them to eat at home. I love them with eggs and cheese. ”

“Light brunch menu, a funky mix of Mediterranean & Oriental cuisine (check their menu before you go). Accompanied with exquisite coffee. If you’re looking for a more traditional North American menu, stop by L’Oeufrier right on the corner then stop by the Arts Café to get a coffee to digest ;)”
