“A very good local restaurant with their famous dish being the prawn & pea risotto. Lots of charm & ambiance await the hungry visitor and is a nice place for a sundowner before your meal with some sidewalk tables available. This is a small place so be sure to book.”

Restaurant
“A personal favourite - this is a very cozy Italian run restaurant with plenty of seating and character. The food is as good as the atmosphere as there is always one of the Italian owners present every day. ”

Café
“Child friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Have a bite to eat while the kids play in the park, or take your own picnic. A firm favourite for the kids are the Las Paletas ice lollies sold by the restaurant. The park is technically separate to the restaurant even though on the same property. So one can just visit the park without eating at the restaurant.”

Italian Restaurant
“We usually go here for pizzas (Love their mediterrean vegetarian pizza) or their wild mushroom ravioli. They also have a bar and screens for watching sports.”

Coffee Shop
“Lazari serves delicious breakfast and lunch. The owner, Chris Lazari, and his staff really go the great lengths to ensure that one has a delicious meal and great coffee. Marlene's cakes and pies are a firm favourite. In fact, the chicken pies are substantive enough to take home and freeze for a future meal. Another take-home delicacy are the red velvet cupcakes.”

Greek Restaurant
“I almost don't want to write this review for fear that it gets so popular I won't get a table on a whim every again, but this one is too good not too share and I believe in giving credit where credit is due. In my opinion this is the best Greek food in Cape Town and as it's actually cuisine I'm very fond of, I don't say this lightly. The staff are warm and accommodating. Food is consistently excellent. The mezze (halloumi especially), gyro, lamb chops, creamy tzatziki and bughasta dessert are always winners and our favourites. We eat here often and it's a real neighbourhood gem. Completely unpretentious and utterly charming.”

Café
“Situated in the Gardens Centre in Mill Street, Pulp Kitchen is a convenient meeting place for friends and business associates. The menu has a wide variety of healthy food options and there is even sushi if the craving for wasabi and salmon hits you while shopping. If you stay at Pulp Kitchen long enough, an added pleasure will be seeing most of your acquaintances in Cape Town come past to shop at the massive Woolworths on the first floor, Clicks or even Pick 'n Pay downstairs.”
