“Friday nights and free! Located just outside the Signal Mtn town limits is the Mountain Opry described by the New York Times as “...the place to be on Friday nights...” for those who enjoy “knee-slapping bluegrass and old time mountain music”. The Toll House (now a museum) is located just up the road from the Opry. Tolls were once collected there from mountain farmers using the road to cross the mountain to deliver stock and crops to market in Chattanooga.”

“This is my most recommended sight-seeing spot in Chattanooga! Crawl to the edge and you will overlook a 150 ft waterfall.”

“The Pumpkin Patch on Signal Mountain is a huge wooden playground with a pumpkin/Halloween theme. Giant spiders and snakes made from tires and giant pumpkins. Has a smaller kid area that is fenced off which is cool and a huge big kid area. It is treed with woods behind (watch out for poison ivy). It is behind the old Walden courthouse and is easy to miss so make sure you know where you are going. Small parking lot and can get full so be aware of that. The best part is it is shaded as its up in the woods! So it stays cooler than most playgrounds in the summer and its up on the mountain (where it is cooler) so that helps too. ”
