Dessert Shop

“Whether we call it best pastry chef or best bakery, Thomas Haas remains on the top of the bread basket for all things baked. This is an extremely popular cafe/chocolatier in Kits famous for their double baked croissants, which many consider to be the best in all of Vancouver. After my latest trip to their shop, where I got their Double Baked Chocolate Almond Croissant, I have to say that I can't argue with those that think they're the best; the croissant was pure perfection. I also had their Hazelnut Praline cake, which was also splendid. Their prices are quite high unfortunately, but you're certainly paying for quality here. So if you don't mind spending a bit more money, I highly recommend that you check this place out: it does live up to the hype!”

Café

“Don't dress up -- this is a casual neighbourhood bakery restaurant frequented by the laid-back Kitsilano crowd. Brunch is served daily until 3pm and the menu is entirely organic (with prices to match the high food quality). Think stuffed French toast, roasted fennel tofu scramble and breakfast burritos. Portions are generous and many gluten free and vegan options are available. Save room for pie or cake -- dozens of flavours are on offer, including two gluten-free vegan cakes (available in full-size) and ten gluten-free vegan pies!”

French Restaurant
$$
“very close to our property and is always ranked one of the top 10 brunch spots in Vancouver. This is about as authentic as you will get when it comes to a French Bistro, it has the perfect French atmosphere and ambiance and all the servers speak French! My favourite is the BAVETTE D’ALOYAU, FRITES - grilled beef bavette steak, roquefort sauce”
