Ideal for a stopover before catching an early flight from Gatwick, or to catch your breath on the way back or simply for taking some much needed time out.
  • I cannot say enough wonderful things about Catherine and her incredible log cabin! I stayed for 3 nights but, if my schedule allowed, I would have loved to have stayed much longer. From the moment we began correspondence, she welcomed me warmly and made the reservation process very simple (even though I was only able to book with her on the night before my arrival). Catherine picked me up from the train station in Dorking, generously provided transport throughout my stay and even helped to put my luggage on the train at my departure. She took the time to to show me the outstanding beauty of the Surrey Hills, the quaint downtown shops in neighboring villages and we spent a wonderful evening having dinner together at the Surrey Oaks. She welcomed me into her home like an old friend, and she went above and beyond during every moment of my stay. Catherine embodies the definition of a Super Host. The outstanding features of Catherine’s log cabin and surrounding property include the French doors that allow you to enjoy the incredible luxury of the log cabin’s interior and the breeze, sunlight and sounds of nature outside at the same time. The cabin is very well-equipped with everything that you might need during your stay in Surrey, and her breakfast is superb – generously and thoughtfully prepared with fresh, local ingredients. There is a beautiful swing set nestled into the trees just across from the cabin that is a delight for children and adults alike; and Catherine’s two dogs and pig named Elvis were wonderful to have around, keeping me company when I wanted it and making me laugh throughout my stay. I feel so truly fortunate to have had this time with Catherine and her luxury log cabin. If you have a chance to stay here, do it! I cannot imagine calling anywhere else home while visiting the Surrey Hills.

  • Completely faultless. Catherine was a really great host and the breakfast was worth the whole trip itself. The whole place was stunning down to every minute detail. Definitely coming back!

  • This was our second trip to Cath's beautiful cabin and it was just as perfect as the first! There were a few new additions, a microwave, coffee machine and quirky heater (which looks like a log fire is burning - very cool!) and we loved them all. The fridge was stocked with drinks, a variety of tea, coffee and hot chocolate available as well as fresh fruit and a delicious breakfast in the morning, served at a time that suited us. The cabin is immaculately clean and has been furnished beautifully with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable, with blankets and pillows galore. The bathroom had lots of clean towels, toiletries and the robes were a nice touch. Cath is an amazing host, on hand to help with anything and I mean anything! She provided us with jump lead cables when one of our cars wouldn't start and even helped find the battery! We will definitely make many future trips!

  • Tremendous!

    Ben2016-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place in a lovely location. The cabin is beautiful - very clean, a fridge stocked with water, juices and milk and plenty of tea and coffee. The breakfast is fantastic and Catherine's flexibility allows you eat at whatever time you want which enabled us to pop over to Reigate for Parkrun then have a leisurely breakfast.

    Caroline2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunningly amazing stay at Luxury Log Cabin! Cath is a fantastic and kind host who has created an excellent airbnb experience: responsive host, clean and stylish cabin, and gourmet breakfast. I would want to reroute through Gatwick airport just to stay again.

    Michelle2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine was easy to communicate with and did everything possible to make our stay perfect. The cabin was fabulous - everything exceeded our expectations - especially the breakfast which was equivalent to a 5* hotel. Thanks Catherine.

    p2016-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a relaxing weekend away in this gorgeous, cosy and clean cabin. Catherine gave us a warm welcome, showed us around the cabin and had very useful knowledge of the area. The cabin is carefully decorated and looks exactly as the photos and we loved Catherine's special attention to detail. Breakfast in the morning was amazing - it was the perfect getaway and we would love to stay again soon!

Ancient timbers, beautiful brickwork, a vaulted ceiling, old Persian rugs on a stone floor , comfy leather sofas in front of the log-burning stove – just some of the charms awaiting you in the Barn at Logmore. It’s a big, versatile space - a dining room, a library, a snooker room, and sitting room all in one. The compact open plan kitchen is fully equipped. And each of the three beautifully furnished bedrooms, (one downstairs, two upstairs) has its own private bathroom or shower-room. But that’s just the beginning of the Barn experience. Walk outside to find our medieval farmhouse, built in 1464, and you’ll discover you are surrounded by farmland and the amazing woodlands of the Surrey Hills. With nothing other than horseriders, walkers and the odd cyclist passing by, Logmore is a rural escape where you’ll meet a host of wildlife, from our very own doves and bees, to badgers, ducks and deer, and even a family of enormous carp in our pond. It’s a different world, a rural idyll, yet so close to Westcott village and busy Dorking town.
Our farm is a rural idyll. No traffic except horses and walkers. Beautiful meadows, woodlands and ancient villages to explore.
  • Richard, Gay and Ali were amazing, so welcoming and always there to help! There was a cycling race which closed up some of the roads but Richard was so helpful communicating before we arrived to sort out the best route. The Barn is absolutely beautiful, a perfect place to reconnect with some old friends. The setting is ideal and there is everything you need from a country getaway. Overall, would definitely come back again!

  • This barn is a total dream!.. Wonderfully cosy and has everything you could ask for. The hosts are lovely, extremely generous and helpful. The surrounds are very picturesque - the walks through the woodlands are divine. There are also delicious gastro-pubs within walking distance or a short car/taxi ride away. We will definitely return as soon as we can.

    Virginia2014-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is charming and cosy, exactly as described. We absolutely loved our stay here, and both Richard and Gay were such lovely hosts. We arrived just as the storm was starting, so we built a fire, cooked a big Sunday roast, and spent most of our long weekend playing board games indoors, but it was lovely! The snooker table and well-equipped kitchen were very appreciated. Lovely, lovely place and will definitely go back!

    Sujatha2016-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Richard was a charming and amenable host. We felt warmly welcomed and were even able to do some much-needed laundry in their laundry room. We were able to invite friends to visit for lunch; the children enjoyed feeding the chickens, afternoon walks and having tea in the garden courtyard. The barn is beautiful, well appointed and immaculate. The surrounding countryside is glorious. We would stay here again!

    Caryn2015-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely accommodation, well designed and furnished, in an idyllic rural setting. Richard and Gay were welcoming and there when needed, but in no way intrusive. A great combination of place and people that made for a relaxing stay.

    Sarah2014-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • We needed somewhere to stay for a project I was doing nearby with 2 other colleagues and ended up making a Saturday booking for check-in on the Monday. Richard was prompt and helpful in his responses and welcomed us, along with his wife, on our evening arrival. The description was very accurate and the barn is beautifully maintained. The neighbourhood is very peaceful and boasts picturesque vistas of the Surrey Hills if you take a short walk up the path immediately outside the barn.

    Nsonje2015-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at The Barn during our recent vacation in Surrey. Richard and Gay were very friendly and welcoming, and their place is just beautiful. It is only a short distance to the town for shopping, but the house is secluded and peaceful in the countryside, with a trail for hiking right from the back door. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

    Ann2016-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • We are a British family of four living in the United States and came home to spend Christmas with parents. We found this delightful barn on Airbnb, and it was exactly what we wished and hoped for. Richard and Gay were wonderful hosts and truly went out of their way to make our stay pleasurable. When we arrived, they were there to greet us and show us around. Richard gave us a bottle of Prosecco and Gay made us some yummy warm mince pies. The barn was tastefully decorated for the holidays (beautiful fresh Christmas tree) and all the bedrooms had clean bedding and towels (I mention this because they smelt lovely and fresh!) All the men enjoyed hours of snooker, pool, and billiards as the girls sat by the warm log fire enjoying a glass of sherry. Thank you Richard and Gay, best Christmas ever, we will definitely be back! Classic shepherds hut with up to date advantages, such as double glazing & wood burner (for those chillier nights). A double bed and a seating area with table that converts into a single bed. Communal kitchen/WC/shower but brand new & very close by. Perfect for walkers, cyclists or romantic getaways.
A bespoke interior designed to the hosts requirements, combining traditional with modern insulation and electricity. You will have access to 5 acres of woodland owned by the host and the hut is situated at the bottom of the woods nearer the lane. The communal WC/kitchen and shower are shared with the other 3 units when occupied.
In an area of outstanding natural beauty. You are surrounded by woods and country life, yet have easy access to London via the local train station. There are some fantastic walking routes (access to the North Downs Way) and popular cycling routes. Ranmore is opposite the famous Box Hill and 20 minutes walk to Polesdon Lacey and Denbies (the largest independently owned vineyard in the whole of Europe).
  • Magical little hut in the woods. Perfect for a city break.

    Hostigar2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you to Oliver for allowing us to stay at this beautiful place. No service on the phone meant we spent some time away from work and enjoyed the time together. Absolutely beautiful views with a roaring campfire!

    Jemma2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed with my 10-year-old. It was great. Jenny and her son were very helpful and considerate. The place has barely any 3G connection, so it was great to disconnect for a couple of days. Thanks!

    Roni2016-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • The shepherd hut was cosy, clean and charming. A wonderful escape. Great location for some beautiful walks. Oliver and Jenny were wonderfully friendly and helpful.

    Siobhan2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful scenery and a charming little shepherds hut! We got unlucky with the weather and a drop in temperature meant that the hut did get very cold despite the small wood burner, and this did need very regular feeding! (Luckily the place was well stocked with wood). Would recommend Oli's place, but probably only in the summer months as the experience does come close to camping due to the basic facilities on offer. Oli himself is very hospitable and welcoming and will go out of his way for his guests though! Thanks again.

    James2017-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Ollie is very friendly and communication was great. The shepherds hut is in a beautiful spot. Great for private get away.

    Mary-kate2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny and Oliver were both very helpful in every aspect of our stay. The place was very cosy and even though it got to freezing point outside the little hut was very warm with a great little stove and ample firewood. The surrounding area is very much of outstanding beauty and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants an adventure.

Our yurt (ger) is in an idyllic setting in the corner of our large garden. You'll enjoy views of the North Downs and Box Hill and you'll have access to beautiful walks, the Olympic cycle route and five village pubs within 1.5 miles, Dorking/Reigate are 2 miles away. There are some fantastic walks up to Box Hill with amazing views south. Equally, we have some very picturesque walks south, through woods and around the fields with the village green and pubs within easy reach.
The yurt has a double bed and two single beds, ideal for up to 4 people. It comes with a fridge, DAB radio, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. (Please bring your own Wi-Fi speaker if you wish to have music outdoors.) The log burner will keep the yurt warm during the day and night if desired or you can use an electric fan heater if you prefer. There is a coal BBQ in a private spot next to the yurt with chairs and a table. BBQ coals can be ordered/arranged in advance at a small cost unless you bring your own. There is also a private outdoor fire pit. We have an outdoor hot water shower right behind the yurt and large bath towels are supplied. There is a shed with a chemical toilet and cold water washing facilities!
We are located in a semi rural area, with fields surrounding 3 sides of our grounds. We are located less than a mile from the middle of Brockham and Betchworth villages. We are close to a main road, so there can be some road noise.
  • A stunning and unusual place to stay. Comfy beds, lovely hosts and an outdoor shower! We had a lovely time here.

    Jessica2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing Experience! Friends and I took the train down from London and it was easily accessible. The Yurt itself was amazing, great interior design, spacious and very comfortable (and there were four of us). A great experience within itself. Simon and Louise were perfect host's, very welcoming, friendly and really made us feel at home. We decided to have a BBQ, so they both provided us with everything we needed, tables, chairs, utensils the lot. Simon also noticed the logs were too big for the wood burner, within a short space of time he was back with some that fit. The Yurt is a real chill out zone, beds were comfy and well equipped with everything you need! Breakfast was fab, and served with a smile! The family home really filters out to the yurt, although positioned at the back of the garden, you have the privacy as well as not feeling like you are intruding. Beautiful area as well, great for walking and nice pubs nearby - always important! All round a great experience. EVERYONE NEEDS TO STAY IN A YURT!!!! (Especially Simon and Louise's). 10 stars, if there was ever such a rating!!!

    Aaron2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Really beautiful location and well appointed yurt. Would love to come back sometime!

    Clara2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Simon and Louise have really gone the extra mile and put lots of special touches to make this characterful yurt the perfect place for a quirky escape to the countryside. The yurt is beautifully decorated, and there is a lovely wood burner and a fan heater to keep you cosy at night. Outside there is a lovely campfire and bbq area overlooking fields, however we didn’t use them as it was too stormy but instead went across to a fantastic pub 3 minutes walk away which serves delicious food. The breakfast in the morning was lovely, and Simon and Louise were really helpful and recommended a lovely walking route to us which spanned open fields and climbs up through the forest. This is the perfect place for a couple or group of friends looking for a quirky escape to the countryside. We’ll be back in summertime!

    Rachael2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at this beautiful yurt on the 10/06/16, we was greeted by Louise who showed us around the yurt and private shower room/bathroom in their house. The hospitality and grounds were amazing, made to feel so welcome as if it was our place. The yurt itself was amazing, Not generic but such a personal touch down to every detail. Coals were provided for a BBQ and a fire pit set up with chopped wood at the ready. They provided us with information for walks around betchworth quarry and also a great pub run. Breakfast was included and brought over at 9am, continental with fresh bread, croissants pastries and fresh oj, we was allowed late check out so we could go for a morning walk. We will definitely be back. What an amazing present for my girlfriends 25th. Grumpy Welsh guy(Kai) Wales lost the rugby to New Zealand

    Kai2016-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely fabulous stay in Simon and Louise's yurt. It made for the most exciting retreat and was a very lovely relaxing weekend. We enjoyed a lovely walk (and stop at a country pub) having been provided with a custom map and route from Louise. We were very well looked after, Louise gave us the local takeaway menus that delivered to the gate, and we had a lovely breakfast brought to the yurt door in the morning which was such a lovely touch - including fresh hot pastries! Couldn't recommend it more highly, and we would love to return! The beds were extremely comfortable and the log fire made it very cosy. It really was very well done, with everything thought of, thank you very much for letting us stay!

    Zoe2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Louise and Simon were so warm and welcoming, we had a great stay in their beautiful yurt. Louise even baked us some pastries and prepared a lovely breakfast for us, perfect hosts! The yurt has all you need and more, super cosy beds and a nice wood burner. The area was perfect for walks and pub lunches!

    Dominique2016-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Simon & Louise have thought of everything and we thoroughly enjoyed our yurt experience, from wood for the fire, to towels and candles and a Bluetooth speaker, attention to detail was great and so was our breakfast! They are just off a main road though so the only thing I wasn't expecting was to hear the occasional truck or car and you are in their garden which lends to privacy but not quite the feeling of being out in wild nature, however at night when it's all dark and quiet and we cooked food over the fire and then retreated to the warmth of our yurt we could imagine we were somewhere else entirely. Thanks for your hospitality

Hi, I'm Sarah. I live here with my daughter in the pretty village of Brockham. The accommodation is an attic room at the top of the house on the second floor, sorry no lift! It has a sloping ceiling on one side, with a Kingsize bed, a wardrobe and drawer space, chair, bedside tables, lamps, a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits. The bathroom, with a powerful shower, is for guests use only and is next to the bedroom. I provide linen, towels, soap, shower gel and shampoo. Downstairs there is a dining room, kitchen, and a sitting room that looks out onto the small garden with a patio, table and chairs. You are welcome to sit in the garden, have breakfast there if you wish, and use the sitting room. I provide a Continental style breakfast with various teas, coffee (cafetiere) fruit juice, cereal, jams, bread (toaster) croissant and fresh fruit. I am happy to try to provide for any special diet requests. Brockham is about 30 minutes from Gatwick by car. There is also a train from Gatwick (destination Reading) that stops at Dorking Deepdene, about ten minutes away. If I am available I am happy to collect from, or take to, the station, or into two of our local towns. There is an hourly local bus to Dorking and the train station, and on to Guildford, or, in the other direction to Redhill. Trains to London also run from Dorking and go into Victoria or Waterloo. We are also near to the M25 motorway and overlooked by Box Hill on the North Downs.
Brockham is a pretty village with a village green, butchers shop, chemist, village shop, pub and gastro pub. There are lovely walks and a children's play park close to the house It lies at the foot of Box Hill which is part of the North Downs and where the Olympic cycle race took place. There are two nice towns nearby, Dorking is a market town (Friday morning) and has a number of antique shops, supermarkets and individual shops. It is 3 miles away. Reigate, is 4 miles and has boutique shops, a lot of cafes, restaurants and a wonderful big park with a very large children's play park in it. If you have no transport, and I am available, I am happy to take you to either place and collect again later. Cars can be parked close to the house and are off the main road. If you have transport there are a number of historic houses and gardens within easy reach and the coast is just over an hour away.
  • Sarah and Martha are brilliant hosts. The house is ideally located in the pretty village of Brockham. Sarah kindly dropped us to the airport when we were leaving. We would 100% recommend for your trip.

  • From the moment I arrived at Sarah's I felt completely at home. The house is in a beautiful location, the accommodation and breakfast both of a very high standard. Sarah is a delightful host, getting the perfect balance between attention to her guests and privacy. I had a wonderful few days, and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Sarah's place.

    Barbara2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Welcome from Sarah and Martha was the best we can expect. So kind that we felt at home in their lovely and quiet home. Room and bed very very comfortable. Food to die. What a pity we can't stay more that one night but we hope next time. We need to thank Sarah and Martha for their willing and kindness.

  • Another very comfortable stay, confirming my earlier opinion. Difficult to think of anything negative. I guess I could point out that if you are exceptionally tall - say well over 1.9m - you'll make less than full use of the attic bedroom. I'm 1.83m (6 feet in old money) and had no problem. I half regret that I've now rented a flat for the remaining few months of my contract - will miss the conversation with Sarah and Martha.

Our house is situated 5 minutes walk to the train stations to London and Gatwick Airport. The town centre is 10 minutes walk away. We are close to stunning countryside and there is a vineyard nearby too. Great for exploring by foot or bike. We are on the North Downs Way, in the heart of the Surrey Hills. Dorking has many good shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. My house is also a great place to stay if you have a wedding to attend as there are lots of venues nearby.
This is a bright and comfortable double room in a family home. You will have a quiet private time staying in this room as it is downstairs. You can make yourself tea and coffee in the kitchen which is next to the room.
We are in a quiet cul-de-sac so there are no passers-by. It is a private road. There is parking for 3 cars on the driveway.
  • Very welcoming and had a good, quiet stay.

  • Wanted to save a bit of money when having to stay in Dorking for a family wedding and begrudged paying the prices of nearby basic hotels (those that are overpriced for what they are and, worse, are always too hot with windows that don't open properly for fear that guests might regulate their body temperature and lessen hangovers). Miranda is a very welcoming and friendly host. Her house, at the end of a close in a quiet suburban pocket of Dorking, is in a great location, near to the centre Dorking and the vineyard where the wedding was (although we drove to both, but neither would have been too long a walk). Miranda's home has a comfortable, natural, creative feel to it. Our room (the one pictured) was on the ground floor, just off the kitchen - which was a bit of a surprise. It has a lot of light (and lovely fresh air on demand) thanks to windows and large sliding doors leading onto a patio area that was not overlooked by neighbours. There is no lock on the room door and it tended to open of its own accord in a breeze, which was a little disconcerting. And if you don't like cats or clutter perhaps this place isn't for you. The bed was very comfortable and the linen clean. The shower in the unmodernised bathroom upstairs is an over-the-bath type affair but we enjoyed perfectly good showers. A close-by rail line can be heard now and again in the daytime but it didn't disturb our sleep so presumably there were no trains at night or in the early morning. We had a breakfast of cereal and toast in the kitchen at the time of our choosing. It was very pleasant and allowed us to chat to Miranda and hear about her art and teaching, whilst she made us coffee - she then left us alone to eat in peace. (I washed up - wasn't sure what the protocol is as not stated in an Airbnb with the host present before, but it felt like the thing to do. Hope she's given me an extra star for this! Ha.)

  • It was nice to stay with Miranda and her family for the second time. She is a fantastic host and the freshly baked croissants for breakfast were lovely!

  • Our stay with Miranda although short (1 night) was great. She is a lovely host who provides a wonderful breakfast. The room is bright and clean with plenty of space We had the grand tour of where everything was by her niece Lilly (who is 8!) which was very nice. If coming to the area we would at Miranda's again

  • Communication beforehand was great and we had a comfortable stay.

  • Miranda made me feel very welcome and is a lovely helpful host. I was only there overnight but the bed was comfortable. She also reacted positively to my comments about the room when I asked for little extras.

  • We had a lovely stay at Miranda's. We felt at home and free to take a rest after a long day walking. The room is really nice and all these paintings and sculptures make the place unique.

Separate entrance, separately lockable double room + private bathroom in Victorian farmhouse in a rural village between Leatherhead and Dorking, less than an hour from Wimbledon, central London & airports, 5 minutes from Denbies vineyard, 10 minutes from the M25, 15 from Epsom races. Hiking and mountain biking in the Surrey Hills.
This is a light, airy, double bedroom with private bathroom. Fully equipped with TV, DVD player, radio/CD player, kettle with assortment of teas and coffee, fridge, toaster, microwave, wardrobe, books, CDs, DVDs, bluetooth sound bar, wifi. If you are staying more than a week your room will normally be cleaned on the Wednesday.
Our village, Mickleham, has two excellent pubs (Running Horses and King William IV), an Italian restaurant (Frascati), cricket and football clubs, a beautiful church dating back to the 11th century and a former Canadian prime minister buried in the churchyard! Mickleham has been described as a "rural idyll". Yet we are less than an hour from London. We are right under Box Hill (where Jane Austen sited the famous picnic in Emma). There is a National Trust Visitor Centre at the top of Box Hill, walking distance from our door. Mountain biking, road biking and hiking is all around. We have bikes you can borrow. Try the Olympic loop (part of the Olympic road race) from the Running Horses, up Box Hill, through Headley and back via the A24. The men’s Olympic road race peloton averaged 23 minutes for this loop in 2012, seven times! Our best time is 45 minutes.... The Mickleham Cricket Club (the Other MCC) is always looking for players for its Sunday games at Box Hill School, right next door. The Juniper Hall Field Studies Centre is within walking distance, as is Denbies Vineyard. Further afield, Dorking is full of antique shops. Polesden Lacey at Great Bookham is a fine Edwardian stately home, owned by the National Trust. Leatherhead has the Leatherhead Theatre and Dorking the Dorking Halls (concert venue and cinema). Reigate has an excellent Everyman cinema and Redhill the Harlequin theatre. Guildford has the Yvonne Arnaud theatre and is full of clubs and pubs, and Epsom racecourse (for the Derby and the Oaks) is 15 minutes by car. St Michael’s Church, opposite the Running Horses, is Church of England. Family service every Sunday morning is at 10. The nearest Catholic Church is in Leatherhead. For eating out there are the two pubs in Mickleham as well as the Frascati. There is an excellent restaurant at Denbies. The Garden House at Beaverbrook is first rate (with prices to match). Leatherhead has the Lal Akash and Prezzo. Dorking has a range of restaurants including Pizza Express, Ask, Cafe Rouge, also Chinese, Mexican and Indian.
  • Our host was really friendly and helpful! The listing was as described and we enjoyed our stay in this pretty village. The room was fine and the garden/outdoor area was lovely...useful to have a fridge and microwave too - thanks!

  • We had a very nice stay with Will and Annie, whilst visiting family nearby. They were really so helpful and flexible when we were booking, and the room, bathroom and grounds were all great. As was having a fridge and microwave. Thank you for having us!

    Joanna2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • LOVELY LOCATION WITHIN EASY DISTANCE OF DORKING AND LONDON. WALKING DISTANCE TO BOX HILL FOR A BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE SOUTHERN COUNTRYSIDE. ANNIE MAKES SURE YOUR STAY IS COMFORTABLE AND RELAXING ALWAYS WITH A SMILE ON HER FACE. AFTER A WALK YOU MAY TAKE A DIP IN THE SWIMMING POOL WHICH ,ALTHOUGH SMALL ,IS VERY REFRESHING.

    Rod2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the visit to Mickleham. Annie (in Will's absence) is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. The room has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, and is located a short cycle ride from some of the Surrey Hills' highlights - Box Hill, Denbies Vineyard and Polesden Lacey, which we managed to squeeze into one day. The nearby pubs offer great food, all within walking distance. The room itself is extremely quiet and comfortable, and we had a really enjoyable stay.

    Matthew2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect stay! A very comfortable and well equipped room. Scenic and tranquil location. I hope to stay again soon. Thanks Annie and Will.

  • Nice place. Beats our expectations. Will certainly book here again

    Laniyi2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • On the downside:there were a few challenges in communication with Roomspace itself (I dealt with several people who didn't always seem to be communicating with each other! One was not too responsive but the others very professional and responsive). The various penalty charges threatened for loss of keys and uncommunicated late arrival were rather 'heavy' and I wasn't aware of them before booking. Maybe I didn't read the T and Cs properly. On the upside, the flat exceeded our expectations, especially in terms of space. We had a lovely host, who was so helpful despite it being Christmas and being very busy with her own guests. I really can't think of anything negative to say, once we arrived...and we were even given a lovely white Christmas tree and some very nice crackers. Thank you. I would recommend using Roomspace and we would definitely use them again.

Not only that, but she provided a very hearty breakfast and had an uncanny knack of making it feel like she was staying in your house rather than vice-versa (I had a bathroom to myself and often the kitchen too!) Thanks again - I'll be back!

The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. It was a real treat to have my own bathroom (the shower is excellent). I was pleasantly surprised by my visit and hope to return and get to know the area better. I was impressed by the small town's involvement in growing and preparing local foods and beverages (and Denbies vineyard and winery are a nice walk from Pamela's apartment). • Beautiful location. The accommodation is simple but pleasant, and Corinne gave us a nice welcome. There is phone signal but wifi would have been great! Thanks Corinne!

    Liz 2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice, clean annexe bedroom. Corinne was very helpful in helping us find the place and messaged promptly when I had questions about the place. The room doesn't have a shower but we knew this and didn't need one so our stay was still what we had hoped for. Lovely location and place overall.

    Miles2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Corinne is lovely & was very understanding as I had been texting what I thought was her phone but in actual fact I had the last digit wrong so hence she was not receiving. We arrived much later than planned (8pm) as my guests themselves had been held up in customs so the whole arrival day was out of synchronicity. On first impressions the space is indeed quaint & lovely little touches but brutally honest it is a difficult space to enjoy as it stands & for that reason I consider it overpriced. Corinne is lovely & I feel bad to not be able to give a glowing report & although certain things are mentioned like the no running hot water, with a kettle for teas & coffees in the photo gallery you presume you can have a full body wash at the sink .Sink is much smaller in the flesh than in the photos & without a plug.I recommend the toilet flush is seen to as (URL HIDDEN) difficult to advise but to me a single person space , not a couples getaway. & with the roof space as a double bed in the middle you cannot help but keep hitting your head on the side ceiling& I am only 5'3" would work better I think as the 2 singles being pushed to the side walls . In view of other properties available on Airbnb & sites like laterooms etc , this space is overpriced, sorry .

  • My girlfriend and I had a lovely peaceful stay at Corinne's place. The annex is private and the whole setting is beautiful. We arrived late, unfortunately, but Corinne was very understanding and helpful in pointing us towards a pub for dinner. I would have no hesitation staying there again or recommending it to friends.

We are a professional couple and have lived in Dorking for the past 40 years. We enjoy walking in the country to the local pubs, visiting London, Dancing, Eating out and going to the Theatre.
  • This spacious and private flat was perfect for our trip to London. Rebecca was a welcoming and discreet host, and little touches like fresh flowers and a fridge stocked with the basics meant that the flat felt like a little home from home. The flat is ten minutes' walk from the centre of Dorking and well served by rail links into central London. The highlight for us was discovering footpaths into the Surrey woodland just at the end of the road, lovely for getting some fresh air after a day in London.

    Helen2015-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay. Rebecca was fantastic and very helpful. We had everything we needed and the flat itself was really nice. Well presented and immaculate. Would recommend it to anyone and will definitely be staying again.

    Helen2013-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca communicated promptly and clearly. We had no problem with her directions getting there nor instructions for use of her home. The place was lovely, beautifully appointed and she added provisions in the refrigerator that were greatly appreciated. The property is walking distance to the quaint streets of Dorking - we loved our two day stay there!

    Denise2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca's flat in Dorking was everything we had hoped for. It is a large flat, with an updated kitchen (stocked for cooking), spacious rooms and a lovely view of the garden. She left some breakfast food in the fridge which was much appreciated. The flat was clean and stocked with reading materials about walking in the area (highly recommended!) and houses to tour. You need a car to reach this flat easily and I would generally recommend a car if you want to get around to the various areas for walking. I highly recommend this flat for people visiting the Dorking area. Thank you, Rebecca and family!

  • The "Gothic retreat in the Surrey Hills" was a perfect experience for us, allowing us to visit our daughter and some local attractions with the maximum convenience. Rebecca was prompt with all the pre-visit information and kindly offered to collect us from Dorking station. We found the accommodation spacious and well-equipped for our needs; Rebecca keeps a stock of basics in the kitchen cupboards and fresh milk, bread and eggs was a lovely touch. The flat is self-contained with own front door and it was easy to feel relaxed, private and secure. The back garden was lovely to look out upon and we sat at a garden table with a glass of wine on a late sunny summer's afternoon. We hope to visit again.

The Tyrrells is a Grade 2 listed house in Great Bookham, a lovely Surrey village. Ample parking and near several National Trust properties and country walks, including Surrey Downs. Less than an hour by rail to London. B&B, lifts to station, etc
Eclectically furnished, our guests would have sole use of the top floor and large bathroom. View 12C Church from the half timbered bedrooms. Homemade breakfast in the dining room, pack lunches and cream teas by arrangement.
The Tyrrells is located in the middle of the charming village of Great Bookham. Polesden Lacey is the National Trusts most popular venue and is on our doorstep. Less than a mile to Bookham Common and close to the hiking trails of Ranmore Common and the Surrey Downs. There are 3 pubs within walking distance, shops and restaurants, as well.
  • We loved everything about our stay. Super accommodation, amazing breakfast, great location and perfect hosts. Will definitely be coming back!

    Deane2016-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very old , quirky house hosted by a very hospitable couple who go out of their way to make you feel at home. There is no kettle in the bedrooms so would suggest taking one if you like to make the odd cuppa and there is no shower cubicle so care needed in the deep bath .The one bedroom has a very low beamed ceiling and electric blankets are provided for those cold winter nights. It is necessary to have a car if you stay here as only a few shops and a pub are within walking distance . Generally a very lovely place for a break with outstanding breakfasts !

    Sylvia2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Truly amazing home. The warmest welcome I've had at an Airbnb to date. Patti is a fantastic host in all aspects of the word. I HIGHLY suggest this location if you are planning on staying in the Bookham area. I'll be staying there if I come back!

  • Lovely place, very central, beautiful, historic and just as described. The house was lovely and Parker's breakfasts each morning were fantastic. Many thanks for a great stay - hope we come back sometime soon. best, Mark

  • Beautiful historic home in a quaint village. If you are looking for idyllic and peaceful, this is it. Feels like you're back inside a Jane Austen novel with the best breakfast around. Patty is a wonderful, friendly host with lots of advice for sightseeing. Loved our stay in her home.

    Alta2017-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Patricia's place! Parker, her son, was running it in her absence and did a great job. The house is beautiful and full of charm as a 350 year old home should be. The village is very cute and has shops and restaurants within walking distance. The 900 year old church across the street is a nice touch too. Getting to London is a bit of a trek but doable. Overall, my family and I loved our stay at Patricia's place.

    Anthony2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot recommend Patricia, Andrew and their lovely place in Bookham enough! My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights as had a family wedding in the area and we instantly were made to feel at home. The house is extremely old and has a great deal of history, yet it's thoroughly well-kept and we had the entire top floor to ourselves including a bathroom so it's very private. For the price, it's a steal. The breakfast was incredibly (highly recommend the pancakes with extra choc chips!) and Patricia could not have been more accommodating. Felt like a home away from home. Thanks Patricia and Andrew if we're ever in Surrey again we'll most definitely be staying here! x

Quirky family house, with a great living space and a beautiful, private garden well located between Gatwick and Heathrow, close to the M25, 10 minute walk into Leatherhead town and 40 minutes from London by train. The original flint part of the house was built in 1830 with others parts added on later - we like a mix of modern as well so hopefully you will like the space.
Guests are able to access all areas except one bedroom.

The room is light with windows on 2 sides. It overlooks the garden. There is a king size bed which can be split into 2 single beds if requested in advance. Tea and coffee making facilities and T.V. are provided in the room. There is an ensuite shower room with all essentials.
Brockham is a pretty village with traditional green. There are 2 pubs both serving food within 3 minutes walk of the property! 2 village shops and a chemist are also nearby. There are good opportunities for walking on the North Downs, cycling (both on and off road), and also the Box Hill 2012 Olympic cycle route is not far. Denbies award winning vineyard and several National Trust properties provide interesting days out.
  • Karin's place is very cozy and comfortable. She let my daughter and I drop our luggage off before going to Italy. She is very kind and helpful and I really enjoyed the breakfast. I would stay at her place again.

    Karen2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We were fortunate enough to stay with Karin as her first ever guests. However based on our stay, we would have easily believed Karin has been hosting guests for years! We were greeted with the warmest of welcomes, immediately offered a drink and had tea in Karin's gorgeous, peaceful garden. The room was spotlessly clean and we were provided with everything we could want from towels, shampoo and conditioner to toothbrushes and handcream! The bed was super comfy and we were treated to a lovely breakfast in the morning. We would definitely recommend Karin's home to anyone visiting the area, be it for walking or cycling the countryside or for a lovely break in a little English village.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Karin's house . The room was lovely with direct access to the beautiful garden and Karin's hospitality and communication is wonderful. We'll definitively try to get back when in the region. Great souvenir for both of us, greetings Hilde

  • Kairn is a perfect host, lovely house in a great location. Choice of 2 good pubs only a few hundred metres away, serving great beer and good food at reasonable prices. A loverly walk along the river takes you to another interesting village and what looks like a great pub (but didn't get to try it. Karin is very welcoming, easy to talk to and made us really comfortable. Just everything you could need for a visit to this area.

  • We were walking the north downs way and Karin's place was perfect after a long day hiking. Spotlessly clean, good shower, super comfortable bed and great chat. There are also 2 pubs in stumbling distance. Definitely recommend this room.

    Jem2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely house with big living spaces and some nice design features. The garden with swings and a trampoline was a big hit for our kids. The location is great for a lot of national trust properties, attractions near Guildford, etc and we found a nice pub in walking distance (sir douglas haig). Marianela was very welcoming and helpful in exchanging messages and made it easy for us to get in when we needed by leaving a key. We stayed as the house was being done up, so a few things were not yet sorted out such as fixing the bath taps and plug or being able to open all the windows. The two upstairs bedrooms aside from the master are great for younger kids but only have drawers and no hanging space other than high hooks on the door. The kitchen has plenty of crockery including kids plasticware, and limited basic cooking equipment.

    Joy2017-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The house is large, spacious and pleasant. The courtyard and the piano were a significant addition for the children who enjoyed them very much. Marianela was happy to assist in every question we had about the house and the area (pubs, supermarkets, shoping centers).

    dror2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely home, spacious and light. It is well equipped, well located both for activities and relaxing. Marianela is a great host, managing to keep in touch and be available for anything even when she wasn't in the country. We all enjoyed our time here. I particularly enjoyed the woodland and countryside that was easily accessible by foot.

My apartment is set among manicured gardens in a private road in up-market South Leatherhead. 10 minutes walk to Leatherhead town centre and 5 minutes by car to Leatherhead train station with direct trains to London. Leatherhead has: theatre/cinema, leisure centre, supermarkets, restaurants, golf courses, country pubs, National Trust, and is within easy access to Surrey hills which is described as an area of outstanding natural beauty. It would be a pleasure for me to share my local knowledge.
Leatherhead has plenty of thing to do during your stay. Its a place to relax , have fun and entertain.
Our neighbourhood is unique because we are a small town, not much traffic, 5 minutes and you are in the countryside and 50 minutes and you can be in central London.
