Zoo
“On arriving at the zoo it is a good idea to ask about feeding times for the animals. That way you stand a better chance of seeing them in a somewhat active state. The plexiglass tunnel for the polar bears is always busy but the bears are also visible from many different viewpoints both indoors and out. All in all, the Journey to Churchill section , which is where the polar bears can be found, is well laid out with a little play area indoors for children and another outside nearby. It is also worth looking at the website for the zoo, or in the local press, as there are sometimes special events held here.”

Hockey Arena
“This is a modern multipurpose arena situated in the centre of downtown Winnipeg. There are many large groups and artist which perform here when the Manitoba Moose or Winnipeg Jets are not trying their best to beat their rivals. Given its location it is easily accessible using public transportation and there are nearby options for refreshment before the event along with options for libations.”

“The spot in Osborne Village for a casual beer, a relaxed bite to eat, or a game of pool. A staple in the Village for decades, you can spot patrons of all ages relaxing with a drink by day. The attached, often busy, Whiskey Bar (particularly popular with 20 and 30-somethings) is the spot for an Old Fashioned or a fabulous Whiskey Sour. Great for a group of friends any night of the week. On the weekends, the downstairs (named the Cavern) often features live music. The Cavern is jam packed on Tuesday nights, where sometime after 11:00 Soul Night begins. Expect a sweaty dance party if you choose to visit!”

“A friendly, youth oriented bar with live music or DJ driven dance parties most nights. A favourite hang out for students from the University of Winnipeg. A good place for a coffee or bite to eat while reading or browsing during the day. At night you can enjoy a drink, and listen (or dance) to live music or the best local DJ's. This is a safe venue where everyone can feel comfortable. ”
