“My recommended first stop is a quick drive to the lookout at ‘Mount’ Brown which provides a wonderful view of York and surrounds. Great at sunset! Across the Avon River is Mount Bakewell (privately owned) with the telephone towers. See if you can spot the red roof of Myrtle Cottage on the northwestern outskirts of town!”

Café
“This little eatery makes the most wonderful coffee and delicious meals. By far our favourite place to eat in York. It is located on a quaint block, backing on to Pert's Pantry, a local gallery and a lovely little charity book shop. For the little ones, there is a playground within sight of the tables so adults can enjoy their meals.”
