Brighton Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Brighton

Our timber clad garden pod is up-market glamping, with a view to the Downs. Close to Brighton and a walk across fields to the village. On sunny days, open up the folding sliding doors and enjoy a drink on the decking.
The pod is just over an hour from London and 20 minutes or so from Brighton. At the end of the garden of our Sussex farmhouse, the view is through the trees and towards the Downs. The pod has a comfortable double bed, sofa, table and chairs. There's a shower room and a small kitchen area, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle. (The hot water is from a small tank, so showers need to be speedy.) For heat, there's a wood-burning stove and a basic electric heater. It's just a few minutes walk across fields to the village of Hurstpierpoint, with several pubs and places to eat. You will have your own key and can come and go as you like. The pod uses the same driveway as the main house, with plenty of room for parking. The house is approached down a rutted farm track, so best not to bring a low slung car! Although there's no fencing between the pod area and the farmhouse garden, directly in front of the pod there's its own area of lawn and a magnolia tree, with a stream beyond. There's also easy access to a footpath to the village across a bridge in the garden. If you have a dog who can be trusted without fences, then he or she is welcome. We have a friendly black labrador called Monty. Tim, Pippa and family are very happy to help with any queries about the pod or beyond. Monty the labrador will almost certainly bring an old shoe to welcome you. We are close to the Downs National Park, as well as having Brighton 20 minutes away. So if you want to walk and visit the village, then it's easy. But it's equally easy to pop into Brighton for sea air or shopping. We are located close to the A23. The nearest station is Hassocks, which is 10/15 minutes by cab. This is the Brighton line to London Bridge/ Victoria. Gatwick airport is 30 minutes by car. There is a limited bus service to Brighton from the top of the track (10 minute walk to the bus stop from the pod). There's also cycle hire at the station in Hassocks: (URL HIDDEN) The pod has its quirks. Squirrels sometimes like to frolic on the flat roof and if it rains heavily with the wind in the wrong direction, you might get a bit of rain down the chimney. Of course, we think that the good quirks outweigh the imperfections. You will find eggs from our hens on the sideboard and a bowl of fruit when you arrive. Plus the ingredients for tea and coffee. The double bed will be made up and there will be clean towels. There is a sofabed in the pod which could be used to accommodate a young family if you don't mind being a bit cosy. We charge £10 extra per night for an extra person to cover costs of making up the sofa bed. If you have a baby or small person(s) they can go free.
We are close to the Downs National Park, as well as having Brighton 20 minutes away. So if you want to walk and visit the village, then it's easy. But it's equally easy to pop into Brighton for sea air or shopping.
  • Pippa was a wonderful and very welcoming hostess, who went out of her way to make sure that we were happy and comfortable. The pod lived up to the listing and our expectations - it is small, but very comfortable, with everything we needed, and it is set in beautiful surroundings.

    Timothy2014-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the pod, its a really beautiful space, and perfect being self contained but equipped with everything i needed. Pippa was very welcoming and helpful and i enjoyed my little visits from monty the dog. I found the space really inspiring with all the books, so can highly recommend it for anyone wanted some time out to be creative. The weather was a bit wild one night, but the pod is really solid, and warms up really quickly with the burner, so i was snug and toasty. Thank you pippa and family, im hoping to come back some time.

  • We had a lovely stay in Hurstpierpoint and would thoroughly recommend a stay here. The setting is idyllic and the pod is just right. We would love to stay again.

  • Communication was great. The pod was exactly as advertised - a nice quiet weekend away!

    Evan2015-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful weekend glamping retreat! Great location, pippa wasn't around but her family are terribly friendly and helpful, log fire was the highlight for us! Fantastic

    Kate2015-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Home away from Home, this was perfect, secluded private and great location for my requirements, Pippa and Tim were great hosts and made me feel welcome. It was easy to come and go without being disruptive ........ My friend Monty the Labrador was there to keep me company..... Thank you so much I will return...... 10 out of 10!

    Piers2015-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very cosy place! Tastefully decorated, loads of books to have a look through and a very comfy bed.

    Carolina2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Good stay peaceful relaxed and informal. Pippa is very nice and Monty is very friendly! Everything you need is there. A TV would be nice for when its raining but overall a very enjoyable stay. Word of caution the road is quite rutted as pippa points out my baby sports car struggled so heed the advice!

  • Our stay at Central Brighton house met and exceeded all of our expectations. From the time of having our booking confirmed we had a constant and accurate line of communication with Giles and his staff that allowed our arrival to go as smoothly as possible. Our contact on arrival in Brighton was Tina who was always an email or call away. Earlier check in was arranged (we arrived in Brighton at mid day) and after speaking to Tina the keys where made available for collection at the house, as opposed to having to travel to the office and back. (this saved us a lot of trouble) The accommodation is close enough to the station to walk (about 15/20 minutes) and the keys were delivered as we arrived. The House itself suited our needs perfectly, located on George street meant it was quite enough but also a stones throw from the seafront. From the outside I thought how would everyone fit in it?But even being a group of twenty we had a huge amount of room, having plenty of space for everyone, whilst some rooms slept more than others having plenty of windows meant the house never felt dark or stuffy. The kitchen and communal areas where very useful especially the outside patio and basement (games room), which proved to be a big hit with the group. Having towels supplied for every member of the group was great as it resulted in saved luggage to take. Being a large group (20 of us) I was worried about keys but six were allocated to us meaning no one had to worry about gaining access if the wanted an early night, Another bonus was the number of bathrooms (all where excellently presented). All cleaning products for washing machines and dishwashers was also supplied which further reduced our overall costs. When it came to check out time the staff where extremely accommodating, by being flexible with the check out time eased a lot of stress, especially with a large group. As some members of the party wished to remain in Brighton on the Monday to do some shopping it was arranged that we could leave our luggage in the house for the day. Overall if I had to give Central Brighton House a star rating I would have to say 5 out of 5. The ease of the booking combined with, a constant line of communication, flexibility regarding check in and out times, and a well presented, clean and spacious property made our stay very comfortable. I would highly recommend the property to any large group looking to stay in Brighton, a great property at a very reasonable price.

  • Description to get to the place and organization to give the key were ideal. flat is ideal for a big group, the bedding was clean, and all were as described on the website. I recommend it.

  • Plenty of rooms to choose from and fantastic communal spaces including the basement large table for dining.

  • Great for a hen weekend of 18. Very central location with a fun drag bar opposite and a Morrisons (with cashpoint) 30 seconds walk away. Lots of nice sixed comfortable rooms with great beds, ensuites in most of the bedrooms. Really good sixed living area off the kitchen with a mezzanine and outside terrace. The basement party room is well planned with a tv/fridge/wine chiller. Giles and Tina were always very prompt and polite when we asked any questions.

    Nicole2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house was as described in the listing. The bedding was very comfortable and clean, kitchen full of plenty of glassware, crockery etc. The location was great, about one minute from the pier and a short walk to supermarkets and shops.

  • We had a wonderful time in Brighton and a fabulous stay in this house. It had plenty of room for our group and had all the aminities we needed. • It is perfect for the beach and pier and the lanes are walking distance. The place was great and Tina was very accommodating for checking in and out and helpful with questions. Left a bag at the place and hopefully get that back. Would definitely use again if we go to Brighton in a large group.

Compact & cosy budget accommodation for the independent visitor in Victorian period flat. Ideal if you need a bed for a few nights and a good base to explore Brighton. Close walking distance to mainline train stations, Duke of York's Cinema, shops, cafe's, bars, restaurants, North Laine & Preston Park. Excellent public transport links for the city, airports & London. Just off A23 if you're driving, with paid on street parking. Please read listing details & House Rules carefully prior to booking.
Peaceful small single room (think Pod) with effective storage solutions for your clothes and luggage. The cabin bed with steps (see photo) is raised 1m from the floor and may not be suitable for guests taller than 6ft or who have mobility limitations. Private entrance to ground floor flat is down a few steps. The accommodation comes with all the quirks and character of a period property and I do my best to keep it as pleasant as I can for guests along with working full time. Basic, budget, clean, functional, comfortable. My cat shares my home too.
You have everything you need within walking distance including great pubs, cafe's, restaurants, an organic/ vegetarian health food store, post office and chemist. Preston Park with gardens and Preston Manor, cafe and tennis courts is close by. There are big events such as Pride, Together The People and the start of the Brighton Marathon.
  • Julie was a lovely host, and I enjoyed my brief stay with her last week. Julie's place is lovely, and well situated for transport links in to Brighton centre (or only a 25 min walk) and beyond, and is very. I can highly recommend staying with Julie if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Brighton.

    Toby2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Julie's home is so beautiful and she was so understanding when I had re arrange my arrival. The room is perfect and the use of space is so clever. Had the best couple of nights sleep. A wonderful neighbourhood and just a short walk into town.

    Daniel2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend Julie's place. The room is small, but really cozy and the bed great. It's a quiet and yet central area of Brighton (less than 5' walk to London Rd train station). I had a great stay and will definitely come back if another opportunity comes up. Thanks Julie (and Rufus)

    Ana2016-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was a great host!! Her place is exactly as listed! I would definitely recommend her place!

    Clarisa2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Julie is very nice! She prepares everything to make your stay comfortable. She gives a lot of useful tips at the arrival, and you can still ask her a few questions during your stay (but, really, you wouldn't need to). Rufus is friendly and will come say hi in the morning. The flat is functional. Kitchen facilities can only be used when Julie is not here. It could be difficult to deal with, but no worries, there are a lot of good restaurants in town. It's also well located, which is really convenient, as you can walk everywhere. Brighton is an amazing city, with a lot to offer and a very laid back atmosphere. It's totally worth a visit. Plus, if you stay a bit longer than just a weekend, you should check out the villages and other towns I the area - you can easily reach them by taking the train (Lewes for instance). Encore merci pour your Julie !

    Anissa2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was very welcoming and relaxed. I had a great time staying with her, and Rufus the cat is super adorable!!! The flat is in a convenient location, very close to London Road station and easy walking distance into town. Flat itself is very clean and cosy. It was extremely quiet at night so you are guaranteed a good night sleep. Although the room is compact, the bed is very comfortable and it has some clever storage solutions underneath it as well as hanging space for your clothes and things. Would definitely stay again!

    Joy2015-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Had a super lovely, comfortable stay as always. Would definitely recommend staying here!

  • If you want to be indulged, cosseted and spoilt then head for The Cabin. Beverly and Chris provides the warmest of welcomes in this delightful cabin style home, set next to a small lake and inside their wonderful garden. The comfort of the room and the facilities provided is matched only by the warmth of the welcome and Beverley's attention to detail. Home made bread and cakes; fresh orange juice, home made jams and a range of wonderful ham, cheeses and nuts make this a place to treasure and it felt far more indulgent than many luxurious hotels. Quite simply the best airbnb we've stayed in. But be quick with your booking as I suspect the secret will soon be out....

    Marco2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • It's like going back home to your parents..... The homemade bread and cakes were a nice touch and we felt at home

    Stephen2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beverley's cabin is even better than it looks in the pictures, if that is even possible! From the very first moments she did everything she could to make our stay a happy, comfortable and thoroughly relaxing one. She gave us such a warm welcome, providing everything that we could possibly need (extra blankets, directions, a heater, and so on) and giving us plenty of tasty treats, including delicious homemade bread and cake. She really went the extra mile, checking on dietary requirements and making sure that there was plenty of non-dairy produce for me as I am lactose intolerant. The cabin itself was extremely comfortable, surprisingly spacious and in gorgeous surroundings. I grew up in the area, and it was lovely to have the opportunity to see the changes in Partridge Green and to go on lovely strolls down Lock Lane, reliving many happy childhood memories. It is the perfect place to get away from it all and to relax, while giving you all the luxuries that you may need. We were so sad to leave, but know that we will keep coming back time and time again. I am so pleased to have found it!

    Philippa 2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy is the perfect word for this cabin, spotless, warm, lovely homely touches - fresh baked bread, home made jam, fridge full of food and beer! Really exceeded our expectations, the pics don't do it justice. Perfect hosts in Bev and Chris, couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We will be back!

    Michelle2015-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Can't recommend highly enough! My husband and I enjoyed a warm, cosy, romantic stay at Bev's cabin over the New Year. We took every opportunity to explore some beautiful local walks around Partridge Green, and also visited nearby Chanctonbury Hill and Pulborough Brooks RSPB reserve. However, one of the nicest days we had was during a heavy rainstorm, obliging us to stay indoors with books, movies, games and plenty of food while listening to the wind howling outside! Bev looked after us well with a tasty and varied daily breakfast including some of her homemade breads, jams, chutneys and delicious quiches - and she embraced the challenge of gluten-free baking with great success. We loved our stay and look forward to visiting again one day soon!

    Louise2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great value and 'Cosy Cabin' is a great description, yet it is on the larger side for many I have stayed in and I do use them regularly especially in this area. Well equipped for a small kitchen area, great shower room and bed. Warm even though it was literally freezing outside. Plus, Beverly could not have been more generous with breakfast and little extras. I stayed three nights and didn't want to leave!

    Jackie2016-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bev and Chris were great hosts. They made us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed, were friendly and easy to get along with. The cabin itself was lovely, well set out and the location is beautiful, very peaceful and relaxing. Can't forget the home made delights. Lovely touch and tasted great. Would highly recommend. Thanks

    Ben2015-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my friend visited for a weekend and had the most peaceful and pleasant time. We were looking fir a place in the countryside which would be quiet and relaxing and away from too many people. The cabin really served this purpose-absolutely delightful and very picture perfect with lovely little personal touches here and there all it seemed with the aim if providing a serene environment. The bathroom facilities were beautiful for an out door cabin. The pillows and linen were so fresh and clean and the bed was so comfy. The riom was really dark at night and i had the best sleep! Surrounding one side of the cabin is a little river and some greenery and it was just great to sit outside and relax in the surroundings. The cabin is located near the owners home but you still have a sense of privacy. Beverly and her husband were so welcoming and genuine in their hospitality. Her husband kindly chopped us some firewood and gave us a barbeque and coal and we had a great barbeque on both nights. They kindly recommended some good pubs and cafes and provided us with maps directions and even deck chairs for the beach! A large breakfast hamper was provided both mornings which included generous servings of cheese yoghurt home made bread and cakes fruit juice and butter. We had home made jams and chutneys which were delicious. All the food was lovely and we even did some light cooking in the kitchenette. No request was too big or too small and we were treated so well. Thank you so much Beverly and I hope to visit again. You made the weekend very special with your unconditional generosity. thank you !

The room was spacious and comfortable and full of stylish touches. Perfect for a couples retreat or romantic getaway type holiday. • Fantastic place! Super cozy, everything we needed, amazing location! Could not have been better for a little weekend break for a couple. Ben

  • A modest little loft apartment. It had everything we needed, the comfiest bed you'll ever find and an absolutely amazing location! We couldn't believe that everything on our list to see and visit was within a 10 minute walk at most. Down the road from the Pavillion and a short walk to the beach, this place is a great find for people who want to explore the city. Nader was a great host and we honestly can't wait to come back :) it felt like a home away from home.

    Yasmine2017-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great find - I was worried it would be a bit cramped from the photos, but was more spacious than I expected (but make no mistake, it's a small flat - but that is made very clear). Communication with the host was great and super speedy, we got to check in earlier than I expected which was really helpful. Bed was comfy, all the facilites were perfect. The location is great and in the middle of town, but the bedroom is at the back so you don't hear any road noise. Would happily stay here again.

    Lucy2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nader was incredible, if I ever had any issues she replied within minutes. The apartment was amazing, lovely and clean, really comfortable and cozy. I felt very safe even though it was in a busy area. The location was great, incredible central and you can get everywhere from the apartment on foot. Also helps that there is an amazing coffee shop just downstairs, great for breakfasts!

Warm and welcoming self contained property, situated in the beautiful South Downs with views of a kept garden. Set of towels are provided in each bedroom. There is also private parking for one vehicle. Room can be made for 2 vehicles on request.
Country pub 3 minutes walk from the annex, serves food and drinks all day. On the South Downs Way Walk route so great stopping point for cyclists and walkers.
  • Really lovely place, fresh & clean, modern décor. Host really friendly and helpful. Even provided us a high chair and travel cot with a comfy mattress and fitted sheet & waffle blanket for our little one. Flexible to help us with an earlier check-in to be able to make our friend's wedding. Would highly recommend. Only downside is the original lounge has been converted to the 2nd bedroom, so there is no living room for chilling out on a sofa. However, the bedrooms are both really good sizes with comfy chairs, so this wasn't a problem for our short stay.

  • Nicolo was a fantastic host. The most important area for me when I stay in an airbnb is obviously the room which was beautiful. But also the bathroom was the cleanest I have ever experienced and perfect. Thank you soo much x x

    Beth2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Nicolo was an amazing host! My girlfriend and I only stayed for one night before our flight out, but it was quiet, quaint and Nicolo was very accommodating. We were greeted kindly with snacks and tea/coffee in our room. It was also very close to the bus stop and not a far walk to downtown Brighton. Overall, it was a great stay. Thanks Nicolo!

    Cameron 2014-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nicolo was very welcoming and friendly. the room was comfy and warm. All facilities as described online. Great location - very close to town. We would deffinetly stay again!!

    tilly2016-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Nicolo's was great value for money. We had his flat to ourselves. Excellent and prompt communication. Lovely comfy bed with tea making facilties in the room. The room was very clean. Hand held shower but water was hot and the shower powerful so it didn't matter. Would absolutely stay again.

    Martin2016-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first airbnb experience and Nicolo made great one. Quickly after requesting to stay, I had a quick response and there after kept in contact with me. We arrived and was able to make use of the Free street parking. Which was very useful in Brighton. Nicolo greeted us and showed us the room and we were made to feel welcome. The room was very clean, with a cosy bed. The kettle with teas, and sweets was a nice touch. It was very easy to get into town walking distance or use of bus at the end of the road. I would stay here again in the future. Highly recommended.

Charming sun-filled room in laid-back peaceful family home. Sole use of one of our bathrooms and w.c. Staying for the weekend? Checkout up to five p.m.on Sunday. Perfect for kite surfers! Continental breakfast inside or out, whenever you feel like it. Cooked breakfast on request (£3 per person).
Direct access to beach and you can walk into town along the boardwalk by the sea. Free off-road parking - much cheaper than Brighton!
Shoreham has good restaurants, gastropubs (two with seating by the river) festivals, music in pubs and at our local arts centre, markets, good coffee shops, shops for browsing, art to look at, an 11th church, the oldest (allegedly!) secular building in England (The Marlipins) an art deco airport (as seen in "Woman in Gold", starring Helen Mirren) with restaurant and bar, an easy stroll from the town. Lancing College with its magnificent chapel, a slightly more challenging stroll from the town. We get fantastic sunsets and exhilarating winter storms. And if you get bored, Brighton is 7 miles one way, Worthing is 6.
  • My boyfriend and I had a lovely and relaxing time with Janet. The room was simple but very nice (very comfy bed). The view on the balcony was just amazing. The shower was also brilliant and powerful. Janet made me a lovely birthday breakfast of pancakes (which was extremely sweet of her) and then we had an excellent full English the next morning. Overall delightful stay and lovely people. :) Will use again.

    Erin2016-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful views overlooking the sea! Waking up to the sound of the surf and the room bathed in sunlight was pure bliss! Janet is the perfect host, warm and welcoming, what more could you ask! A lovely breakfast (gluten free for us) awaited us in the morning with freshly ground coffee to wash it all down. Shoreham center was a pleasant stroll away with good connections into Brighton.

    John2016-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Janet was very welcoming, providing a lovely, clean and homely place to stay for our two nights in Shoreham. This was our first experience at AirBnB. I didn't find signing up to AirBnB an easy experience but Janet was fantastic and we'd be pleased to stay with her again.

    Kevin2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely welcome from Janet, great room with a fantastic view from the balcony. Janet was friendly and attentive to my needs and I enjoyed a nice couple of days there, the breakfast I asked for was delivered with the minimum of fuss ..... perfect!

    Barbara2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing!!!!! Wegelt do welcome in Janet's home. The view on the sea is incredible and breakfast just amazing every day. We recommend. 300%

  • We had such a great time at Janets cosy furnished house, we enjoyed the nice atmosphere and felt welcome. The sea view from the bed is amazing, which you can also enjoy from your balcony. And each day started with an opulent delicious breakfast. You can have a lot of nice and intersting walks around this area or use the excellent puplic transport system to travel to all the well worth seeing towns ( Brighton, Worthing, ...) I would like to stay again at this marvellous place sometime and would recommend it to everyone who would like to have a rest or quite relaxed holidays.

The annex is partially self contained, in a very quiet part of the historic county town of Lewes with little passing traffic. We are about 20 mins walk to the centre of the town but are very close to the South Downs, a 5 minute walk away and the gateway to the South Down way and the National Park. (Smokers welcome but only allowed outside) Were close to Brighton and have good access to public transport both locally and a main line to London.
Digs' Features: Shower room. FreeSat TV Microwave, Fridge, Kettle & Toaster with plates and cutlery provided. Electric thermostatically controlled Heating. Free Parking on road. Double sofa bed for the extra guest. & Wifi
  • A delightful place in the garden of Tim and Sue's home. They have thought of everything, clean, tidy and comfortable. Very convenient for Lewes about a mile away.

    Nicola2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Really pleased with the stay here, cosy building close to main house, small kitchen facilities, fridge, cutlery etc. No trouble checking in or out, useful tips on where to eat out from Tim. Little way out of town centre but shops and pubs are walkable.

    Mark2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent choice for an affordable and comfortable stay in Lewes.

    Nicolas2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely stay in the Garden House which is light and cozy. Perfect for walks on the South Downs and in the town of Lewes. The host was very friendly and helpful.

    Robert2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with my mum for a couple of nights and we had a really comfortable and wonderful stay. My mum has a bad back so the electric bed was a fantastic addition! The sofa bed which the host put out for myself, was also comfortable enough for a short stay. The garden room has everything you need to relax and even milk and cereal, tea and coffee was provided for us! The annex is spotless and very easy to access and we found it very easily through instructions on the website. It had wifi and sky and plug sockets and USB points in the sockets too...we didn't need to use the microwave but everything was there if you needed to feed yourself too! I would highly recommend this as a place for anyone to stopover if visiting Lewes and Brighton and the South Downs as it's really convenient to get straight on the A27. Thought it was very reasonably priced and felt very safe and secure.

Thoughtfully & lovingly styled ground floor studio. Everything you need in one room to be self catered & independent. In the cool & friendly community of Hanover with great pubs. King size/single beds, sofa, TV, kitchenette & ensuite.
It is a homely studio that will welcome you to Brighton! Decorated with designer and environmentally friendly Earthborn clay paint, the soft grey colours are warm and comforting. A habitat drop leaf table sits nicely in the front window and can be extended to give plenty of eating room or workspace. Two industrial stools provide the dining seating. A grey two seater sofa with a small oak table and funky lamp provides a cosy living space where you can watch the wall mounted flat screen TV. The dark grey, gloss kitchenette fits discretely along the wall and provides a sink, fridge, two ring ceramic hob, microwave, toaster and kettle, along with enough cookware to cater for your meals. The sleeping area is set up as a king size zip and link bed by default, but you can request two singles. Two slim line Futon Company side tables sit either side of the bed with Heals' gorgeous Britsol copper table lights and vintage style bulbs to read by. You can check yourself out infront of the full length lean-to mirror that has two discreet shelves behind, where you'll also find the hair dryer. For hanging space there are two pinocchio wall mounted hooks that can be locked into position. Contrasting the classic colours of the studio is an ensuite in Brighton Victorian green. Corner sink, toilet and heated towel rail in white compliment the black galaxy sparkly shower. A funky industrial shelf provides space for your toiletries.
Hanover is famed in Brighton for its pubs, colourfully painted houses, community spirit, creative residents and hills! It has everything you need within a few minutes' walk including convenience shops, pubs, cafes, launderette, post office, chemist and parks. You have the best of both; being in a lovely neighbourhood and Brighton centre just a short walk or even shorter bus ride away. Brighton is a very walkable City with lots of areas, so there's always something to see.
  • Lovely little apartment! Would recommend!

  • Great location and a bonus to have free parking . Very quiet area of brighton but only a short walk to the centre/beech . • The studio was perfectly appointed with everything one could need. There was some welcome chocolate and fresh milk in the fridge, and coffee and tea- all much appreciated! The studio was extremely clean and well kept. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was very good- which is unusual in England. The area was very good for bus routes and obviously, taxis- however, it's a nice walk downhill into town. And there is a beautiful park very close by. Very handy little organic shop just down the street a bit, and, also, round the corner and down on Elm Grove, a very nice bakery/coffee shop. We were very pleased with the studio, it was a really fair price and what we needed- a clean, home-y space to sleep!.

    Deanna2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel's place was everything we needed; comfortable, nicely decorated, clean and close to the centre of town. You're within a stone's throw of lovely pubs, restaurants and amenities, and the neighbourhood is friendly and quiet, so perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle for a good night's rest. Great facilities in the flat, you have all you need for a comfortable and lovely stay. Rachel was really quick to respond, extremely pleasant, and the property manager was the same also. So helpful and polite. It was a pleasure, thank you Rachel and Carl!

    Ammina2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay, it was exactly as described, great location only a 20 minute walk to Brighton pier and the lanes. Ideal for our stay. We also liked the setup of apartment with separate entrance so we could come and go as we pleased. Handy on street parking that was free and a corner shop within 2 minutes walk for stocking up on drinks etc. The only recommendation I would make is for travellers that aren't as mobile, the walk down to Brighton is very pleasant but the walk back to the studio is up a fairly steep hill, while it wasn't a problem for us if you are less mobile probably worth noting. Saying that the one day we did get a taxi back there it was only £5 so still cheaper than Parking in Brighton. We would definitely stay again.

The room is clean and has everything we can need for a several days stay. The location is in the center. Thank you Daria

  • Daria is a nice and friendly host who replies very quickly to messages. All communication prior arriving was clear and easy and we were able to drop our bags and get the keys early. The layout of the house is good because the room and en-suite are separate from the rest of the house, connected to it only by a foyer that leads to the front door, and so it feels very private. The location is great - between then train station and the beach.

The room was homely, full of character and had great views over the laines. Our stay was completed by the extra touches that made us feel all the more welcome. It was fantastic to be so centrally located- right in the centre of it all. Come and share our comfortable family home. We live in a small Edwardian terrace house in the heart of Southover, one of the most historic and picturesque parts of Lewes. It's 10 minutes from the mainline railway station and an ideal base for Glyndebourne opera or for exploring the Downs.
We are offering a small, clean, homely upstairs study/bedroom that accommodates one guest. You will sleep on a top-of- the-range single sofa bed, which is custom made to a German design. There is a table, chair and hangers for clothes. There is a small upstairs bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet which you will share with our family.
Our house is situated on a neighbourly street with residential parking and a local shop opposite. It's a short 10 minute walk to Lewes railway station. It's in the heart of some of Lewes's most famous historic tourist attractions. Around the corner is the famous Anne of Cleves Museum, a 15th century Tudor timber framed house that was part of King Henry VIII divorce settlement to his fourth wife. Opposite the museum is the Lewes Priory, a ruined medieval priory, which had one of the largest monastic churches in England before it was destroyed by Henry VIII. Many of the houses nearby are picturesque and historic, and feature the traditional flint walls of the region, including our own.
  • Robin and her son were wonderful host and very welcoming. I did not have a working phone and she was very understanding and accommodating. Her place is a 5-10-minute walk from the rail station and the town center. A lovely house and the town of Lewes was very charming as well. On top of everything she was great to chat with and offered delicious scrambled eggs for breakfast. Thanks again!

  • Stayed here for one night and got in late due to car troubles. Robin and her husband were very lovely and stayed up to make sure I got in ok and made me a cuppa on arrival. The house is great, warm and welcoming. I felt very at home. Highest recommendation.

  • A beautiful, historic town. I ended up being a part of the local skittles team, which was great! A genuinely wonderful place to stay. Robin was the best host, making me feel more than welcome from the start, with an extremely comfortable bed. The freshly ground coffee and delicious breakfast was the cherry on the top!

  • Robin is very kindly and warmhearted to me. The room is small but cosy. The breakfast is very delicious and I enjoy it. I am looking forward to meet her and her husband next time when I come to England!

  • Robin was very welcoming upon arrival. I had to arrive late in the evening and she was very accommodating of my schedule. She made me a cup of tea too! The room was very pleasant and the bed was comfy. Nice shower. Great chats in the morning with Robin and her husband and a good cup of coffee! (Choice of breakfast too of course) Thank you both!

We have a bright and sunny double room in our central Brighton home. Five minutes from the station and just moments from all the wonderful unique shops in the vibrant North Laine and historic centre. The famous beach and pier are only a short walk away.
We have a beautifully decorated four story townhouse built c.1830 and lovingly restored over a 12 year period. We offer only one guest room, located on the first floor. It is a rear facing, peaceful double room that overlooks our pretty patio garden. Although we are in the busy centre of Brighton, the rear gardens have no public access. This gives us a little haven of calm away from the hustle and bustle of the much loved North Laine streets. In the guest room there are waffle bathrobes, towelling slippers, fluffy towels, hairdryer, as well as a universal charger for tablets or phones. On the ground floor there is a shared, luxurious, family sized bathroom, with a generously proportioned shower cubicle and free standing bath. A heated towel rail is fitted so you have warm dry towels during the colder months. There is also a selection of toiletries that include shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion, plus more on request. Fibreoptic WiFi is available in all rooms and extends to the patio garden.
The North Laine is Brighton’s best kept secret. Since being saved from demolition from motorway developers in the 1970's, the North Laine area has become the heart of Brighton's bohemian quarter and one of the City's most desirable areas to live. Queens Gardens is located in the centre of the North Laine. It is a totally unique area filled with vintage shops, art galleries, a Saturday market, independent cafes and restaurants. An afternoon wandering the Laine will provide you with all you can possibly buy, eat and drink. Impromptu live music is often playing in the streets. My philosophy has always been that if you step outside our front door you cannot fail to feel happy.
  • Regina's home is wonderful, as is her friendliness and warmth. She made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, and her home is beautifully appointed with a comfortable bed, fluffy towels, and two curious cats. Breakfast was lovely, with artisanal bread and spreads and fruit. The location of the home is excellent, in the Lanes with all its boutique shops and close to the seafront. We'd love to come back when we're in Brighton again!

  • Gina and Richard were incredible hosts. From the lovely breakfast spread they provided, including bread from a local bakery, to the towel sets complete with robes, slippers and a chocolate to the fantastic restaurant recommendations they provided (as well as local discounts!), they truly went above and beyond to ensure our visit to Brighton would be a delight. Their home is beautiful and in a great location in the North Laine and their love of Brighton is immediately infectious to guests. We only stayed in Brighton for a weekend, but Gina and Richard truly made the place feel like our home.

    Justin2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Gina's over the Easter weekend, for our first ever air b'n'b experience. Before we even got there Gina was always on hand when I had questions or queries at the drop of an email, responded very quickly and always with heaps of information. This helped my nerves and also made us feel welcome before we even arrived. On arrival Gina and Richard were very friendly, welcomed us into their home and introduced us to the adorable Beans and Minx! After being shown around we were left to our own devices but they were always on hand if we needed any help or advice with the local area or the house. The local area, well the location speaks for itself really! When I can walk not even two minutes from the door to infinity foods and several vegan cafes, (and vegan friendly cafes) I am incredibly happy! The laines are busy and exciting, loads of unique shops, but the joy was as soon as we were back at the townhouse it was quiet, and relaxing, like there wasn't a busy hotspot right outside. Also another great point of the location was we could nip back and forth really quickly for dropping off some shopping or using the bathroom (very handy when almost 6 months pregnant!!). The house is impeccable, incredibly clean during the whole stay. The room is light and clean, the bathroom is huge, and the living area was great for relaxing in the afternoons. The breakfast each morning was lovely, they had some vegan spread and milk in for me which was a great bonus, my husband loved the yoghurts and all the tea to try. Gina and Richard couldn't have done more for us, they checked we had all we needed on several occasions and were happy to help if we needed anything at all, I felt we could ask anything they were very welcoming. They also let us get on with our own thing too which was nice :), I felt we could be involved with the hosts as little or much as we liked . We have already decided we want to return and will not be looking anywhere else, the house is beautiful, spacious and in the perfect location. The hosts were just the right amount of helpful but also mindful of our privacy, and then of course those two cats are so sweet and full of character (that's coming from dog people!). Thank you for an incredible stay, we look forward to coming back soon !

    Laura2016-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Regina and Richard was like staying with old friends, we instantly felt at home and very relaxed as they are both outstanding hosts. The property itself is beautiful and the location is perfect as you never to far from an artisan coffee shop or a lovely reataraunt which Regina and Richard where both very helpfull pointing out. Will most definitely be returning and staying here again very soon.

  • Gina was so welcoming, the house was lovely and the location was perfect. We really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Highly recommended.

  • My friend Louise and I had an absolutely perfect weekend stay at Reginas! The house is so beautiful and immaculately kept. The room was presented beautifully and was lovely and bright with a nice view from the window, we also had a very comfy bed. We were also provided with bath robes, big fluffy towels and slippers which came in handy. Also the shower was amazing - I could have stayed in there all day! Regina also kindly gave us beach towels to borrow and provided me with some sunburn lotion after we returned from the beach very burnt! The house is in the perfect location, 5mins from the station, and just a few mins to all the shops and bars. Reginas cats are also so sweet and well behaved and came to say hello to us each morning. Regina was the perfect host and went above and beyond my expectations of my first air b&b experience with a live-in host. I cannot fault our stay and will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Brighton.

    siobhan2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • We were made to feel very welcome and the room was really beautiful and peaceful. The walk from the station was easy, short and very well described! Just a great area of Brighton to stay in with lots of fun , quirky shops and restaurants nearby. Easy walk to sea front, Pavilion ETC. Both the house and the room are gorgeous and the fluffy bathrobes and slippers were a welcome detail. The shower was great and the bathroom very spacious.

    Caroline2015-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Gina and Richard couldn't have been better hosts. So accommodating and welcoming, it was an absolute pleasure to stay in their house. Everything was spotless and an added bonus was their two beautiful cats who had such charm! I 100% would stay here again and highly recommended them if you're looking for a clean, friendly, chilled out space to stay in Brighton.

A sunny detached Edwardian Villa with 6 large beautiful bedrooms (one has distant seaview) 3 bathrooms & a kitchen/diner with views across a magnificent walled west-facing garden. The large kitchen table seats up to 17. The house is full of original features. Dominated by a marble fireplace, ornate coving & a huge chandelier the living room, with stripped wooden floors, is a relaxing home from home. Parking for 3 cars. You're 4mins walk to Hove station & Hove Park & 17 mins walk to the sea.
We want you to feel like you're in your own private hotel, with fresh linens and lashings of hot water. We don't do bunk-beds here. It's comfort all the way. The detached house itself has plantation shutters throughout and is set in the fashionable Wilbury area of Hove with bags of Edwardian features - ornate coving, a 100 year-old tiled hallway, marble fireplaces and beautiful chandeliers. The large garden has two mature apple trees. If you're here in season try them - they're gorgeous. While the best spot in the house for me is the kitchen with its American fridge-freezer, table seating 17 and its panoramic garden views. From the top floor of the house you have distant sea-views.
Brighton and Hove is unique. Wear what you like, say what you like - we live and let live here on the south coast and are not surprised by much. Just ask Disco Pete, the old guy approximately a million years old who turns up at any outdoor gig in the city come rain or shine and dances silently and joyfully by himself. I always think he embodies how Brighton people feel about their city - if you're happy and not hurting anyone - go for it! The house itself is on a quiet residential street enjoying the best of both worlds. Beautiful Hove lawns set against the white regency squares of Brunswick and Palmeira are a 15 minute walk away and are my favourite area of Brighton. Here you can see all of the world walk by from lovely al fresco cafes. Brighton is home to the world's tallest vertical viewing tower, the I360, it has the world's oldest acquarium, the fabulously fun pier for fair rides, George Iv's former party palace the incredible Brighton Pavilion. The Laines are a world famous quirky shopping heaven. You're also in central Hove so there are hundreds of wonderful restaurants on your doorstep while Brighton nightlife is 5 minutes away on the train at the bottom of the road (services every 15 mins or so) or a short cab ride away. You could even walk if you have 25 minutes.
  • We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Ben's house. We were four couples of varying ages and were in Brighton to celebrate a 70th birthday. Pro's - the house is really big and all the bedrooms are good sizes. It is lovely and light and had a really big kitchen table with enough chairs to seat more than 15 people. It's in a good location in a residential part of Hove, really close to Hove station. Ben was really good at communicating throughout the whole process. Con's - we had a couple of issues while we were there. Ben uses a company called Prostar who manage the cleaning and check-in process. When we arrived there were only enough towels for 7 people (every guest is supposed to get a bath towel and a hand towel). I contacted Prostar about this on the first night but didn't get the extra towel until the following afternoon. Then when we went to use the grill on the first morning, the oven actually set on fire because there was so much food and fat in there. I contacted Prostar and they did come out and clean the oven. However, the whole place just felt like it needed a good clean. We had to declog all the showers as the water wouldn't drain due to the clogs in the plug holes. This clearly hadn't been done for some time. We had to scrub a lot of the pots and pans in the kitchen as they were still filthy from whoever had used them last, there were cobwebs all over and the dishwasher broke towards the beginning of our stay and couldn't be fixed. The house needs a bit of TLC - a good clean and a lick of paint. Having said that it is good value for money. I think it would be better suited for large groups such as hen and stag do's rather than for families but if you want a large, good value house in a good location then this house would be a good base.

    Laura2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here; the house is beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained. There is space (and a goal) in the garden for the kids to kick a football round, and the location is great: just a quick walk down the road to a deli and Hove station, and just a short walk beyond that to a whole host of shops, trendy cafes and micro bars in Hove itself. Ben was really helpful, responding to my questions immediately, and the picking up of keys etc was straight-forward and easy to arrange. Thanks for making our stay such a great one!

    Iona2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice house with a great location. Ben was great with communication leading up to the stay and we all enjoyed ourselves.

    Adam2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had five fantastic days in Bens house in Hove! The rooms in the house are delicate, and to the person who gets into the house first make sure you take the biggest sleepingroom on the second floor as this one is just amazing! There were always hot water in the showers, which somehow seems important to us:) The house is situated in a quiet and nice, green part of Brighton & Hove and the buses to Brighton Beach/Pier is running very often. Bens place is also brilliant to stay in if you want to visit London since it is just around one hour with the train from Hove. Ben is our first host through Airbnb and he did a great job! He answers questions very fast and he made us feel very welcome! We can truly recomand his place.

  • We loved the home, it was perfect for us, with for teenage boys and my parents and us there was still no problem finding our own spaces and everyone had a room to themselves. House is totally functional and homely. Its not newly decorated which is a relief to be honest but it's really nice. Quiet area, near to parks and close to walk to the train station and then the town. Excellent communication and service and very clean and tidy. Thx v much

  • This house has a personality: relaxed and welcoming with Edwardian space and style in a fine location. Our party had a very enjoyable weekend and we would recommend this choice to others.

  • Ben's place is perfect for a big group. Slept 14 of us very comfortably and had everything we needed. We had a great weekend, and would definitely recommend this place to others. Thanks very much.

    Kim2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic and quirky house in a really nice part of Hove. Communication with Ben was great. The house is well stocked (kitchen has an odd assortment of things but generally everything you'd need) and comfortable. Just to note there is parking for 2 cars on the drive (apparently you could fit three on there, but we couldn't figure out how!), and on street parking is available but like with everywhere else in the area is a bit pricey. But great house, lovely garden and fantastic big kitchen, we all had a great weekend.

Tucked away in the heart of Brighton’s bustling North Laine, my flat is the perfect getaway, a pebble’s throw away from everything Brighton has to offer.
I want guests to make themselves at home; make use of the kitchen, the fast WiFi, our big TV with Netflix etc. built in, our patio (quite a morning sun trap!)… but you probably won’t have time in between enjoying all the sights of the city on your doorstep. We have one double bedroom with an en-suite bath/shower, plus a comfy sofa bed in the lounge. There’s a little foldaway dining table, plus a breakfast bar in the open-plan kitchen/lounge. Both myself and my son live nearby, so one of us is always on hand to help with anything you need. If you’re arriving from the station, it’s an short walk about 5 minutes down the hill - it’s easy to find but I’ll always help out with directions after you book.
The North Laine area is known for it’s narrow streets full of boutique clothes shops, antiques stalls, independent cafes, restaurants and more. Turn right at the top of our road to find two of the city’s best local pubs (The Basketmakers & The Eagle), turn left to find countless cafes and shops. For breakfast, my favourite is the Flour Pot Bakery on Sydney Street (practically 1 minute from the door). They bake everything fresh, and the coffee is great too. For lunch and dinner, there’s too many to choose from :) Walk to: North Laine - 0 mins Brighton Dome - 2 mins Theatre Royal - 3 mins The Lanes - 4 mins Kemp Town - 5 mins Brighton Station - 6 mins The Sea! - 7 mins Palace Pier - 8 mins Churchill Square shopping - 10 mins
  • This is a fabulous place in a great location. Its bigger than it looks and was perfect for our little weekend break. We spent hours exploring the North Laine area with its quirky independent shops and restaurants. It is a short walk to the station and also not far to walk to the Pavillion and sea front - we can't recommend it enough!

  • If you are considering a trip to brighton I would 100 percent recommend this beautiful place for your stay the place itself is immaculate and has lovely little touches you wouldn't expect such as towels available , little welcomes around the flat , and info needed on the chalk board , it's a totally central location within easy walking distance from the station and all of brighton . The hosts Liz and Will are brilliant they leave you to enjoy your stay but if you need to get in touch for anything they are on hand be it message phone or in person should you have problems and are more than accommodating with all your needs. All in all if I had to choose between hotels or this gem or a place I would go for this hands down every time and again many thanks Liz and Will :)

    lisa2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Liz was super responsive to communicate with. She wasn't around when we checked in but her friend checked us in and showed us around the flat. Liz was able to work with us for us to check in sooner than originally planned. Her flat is very homey and close to a bunch of different shops and restaurants. Some of the places do close early so be mindful of that. You have a secluded patio area to enjoy in the mornings. The flat is down a set of narrow stairs. Overall the stay was exactly what we were hoping for!

We want the best for our guests at affordable prices in this amazing location. The yurt is situated at Hale Farm - a working, family run farm situated in 56 acres of peaceful, rural Sussex countryside. There are two excellent pubs and a village shop all within walking distance. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids) and big groups. The yurt is kitted out with all you need to have an enjoyable glamping stay including bedding, kitchenette and wood burning stove.
The luxury yurt can sleep 4 adults in comfort and up to 2 more for a surcharge, refer pricing. Set in the beautiful village of Chiddingly with 2 local pubs nearby - The Six Bells and The Gun, both recommended. Clean and comfortable inside with a toasty log burning stove. A bag of wood is provided. There are toilets and showers at the campsite, refer to Hale Farm website. The yurt is situated in a camping field alongside two other yurts - overlooking the beautiful countryside. The Yurt was hand made in Dorset. It is 16ft diameter on a 20 ft solid wood platform. The yurt is very spacious inside, it sleeps up to six guests - two on a solid wooden double bed with comfortable mattress, two on a sofa bed and two on single camp beds at a surcharge. The yurt comes equipped with a very toasty log burner which heats up very quickly. Nearby there are adventure park activities and some lovely local country pubs and restaurants which serve delicious food and local ales. The camp site has seasonal campers, typically families. In peak season this can mean that there is noise from your neighbours but this should temper down after 22:00. You have your own sectioned off area at the top of the field close to the facilities. The kitchenette boasts it's own sink and gas stove along with cupboard and drawer space for the provided crockery and cutlery. We tend to leave you to enjoy the yurt, however, help is on hand if you need it.
  • A beautiful quiet location. We went on boxing day . a magical place which was lovely and quiet after the busyness of Christmas . it was a great night for watching the stars !!!!

    Nicky2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic nights stay in the Sussex countryside. We loved the yurt and the secluded location which looked out onto the fields. The yurt is well equipped and the board games and fire were perfect for a cosy night in. 'The Gun' and 'The Plough' are great local pubs and well worth a visit. If it's winter, bring your wellies as it can be muddy around the Yurt. David was really helpful throughout and I would definitely recommend this place to others. In fact, we plan to come back in the summer.

    Ben2017-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, secluded, romantic yurt. Everything you'd need - we even managed to cook a 3 course meal in there! Great communication from the host, he was quick to sort any problems.

    Alex2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time staying in the yurt. The children (1, 4 and 6 years old) really enjoyed it too. It's situated at the top of a camping field with lovely views. The compost toilet and showers are an easy walk away and there's a drinking water tap and washing up facilities just a stone throw's away. We walked to the Six bells pub for dinner which is about a mile away, across cow fields. Unfortunately, it's not buggy friendly as there's bridges with restrictions and stiles but easy enough with a baby carrier. You can visit the animals at the farm between 9am and 10.30am and you can buy food for the animals at 20p a bag. We both commented on how happy the animals looked (I don't think I've ever seen a donkey in better condition!) and the children loved feeding them. We stayed for 1 night at the end of July/beginning of August and it did get quite chilly at night but the duvet and bed were luxurious and kept us warm. The older children were comfortable sharing the futon and there was plenty of room for a travel cot for the little one. We used the stove to make cups of tea which was fine but didn't venture to cook anything or try the log burner (didn't need to). We would definitely go back again!

    Kym2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • David's yurt is lovely; in a quiet field with its twin, some touring pitches, a few composting toilets & two hot showers, we almost had the place to ourselves! The setting was gorgeous & the yurt itself very homely. I stayed with my husband & 2 kids (2 & 4) and we all enjoyed sitting on the deck eating breakfast in the sunshine & the wide open space for them to safely run about in. We mainly used the yurt as a base for visiting local family so didn't to any cooking other than breakfast preparation, but there is a selection of kitchen utensils, pans & a set of crockery if needed. It was great to have everything ready for our arrival, like a hotel, but more fun (though a little chilly!).

    Susi2017-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location. Yurts have an amazing view from the top of the field. Best campsite shower we have every used. Really liked the eco friendly toilets - sawdust means they dont stink, and good for the environment, genius! Lovely 20 minute walk through woods and cornfields to the Gun pub. Great fun for kids to feed animals in the morning. We bought the farm sausages, would highly recommend, delicious!

    Chris2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome! Staying in the country we had the whole farm to ourselves. Like many other we went to the Six Bells for dinner. A perfect place to stay in the countryside.

  • David is a great host and our family had a perfect 4 night stay in a fairytale yurt. The farm where the yurt is located has a great campsite. It was quiet when we were there and we could enjoy lovely walks in stunning English countryside. The local pubs are exceptional and all in all - this is a gem of an airbnb!

  • At £30 a night I was a bit worried about what we would find but no need it was a good sized room with ensuite shower and comfy bed. Its a bit spartan but what do you expect for that price. Traffic noise woke us up in the morning but we live in the heart of the countryside so not use to traffic noise which is what you get in the middle of a town. We didn't get to use the bar but we did walk on to the foreshore just a few hundred yards away and its very close to the town centre. Free parking from 6pm to 9am in carpark opposite. We will most certainly go back next time we are visiting our relatives in Worthing.

  • Although the building itself is showing its age and a little tired our room & en-suite were clean. The bed was very comfortable. The accommodation was very basic and is reflected in the cost. There is a fridge provided for use. We enjoyed our stay and the hosts were very helpful and most welcoming. Being above a pub and no double glazing it was noisy but this was not an issue for us. Parking can be an issue during the day depending on the time of year. The town had a great choice of eating places & the accommodations is only a short walk to the sea front. On the whole you get what you pay for and it was good value for money. We would definitely go again, but not for the fussy guest. There is great potential to turn it around if you have the money and passion for it.

A cute little flat in Brighton. If you are keen to enjoy all aspects of Brighton life, everything is walkable from here. The train station is also close by, so trips into Sussex or up to London are very easy.
  • Really enjoyed our stay! Thank you for being an amazing host, lovely flat ❤️

  • Great stay in Brighton. The flat was perfect, comfy bed and right by the bus that brings you the Brighton Pier. Great place to stay for a weekend for two.

  • Emma's place is the best! It's the perfect amount of space for a couple and within walking distance to all major attractions in Brighton. We had a lovely stay. Emma was most accommodating, allowing us to check out late.

    Ryan2017-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is 5 minutes away from London Road station and a 20 minute walk down to the seafront (obviously if you're a fast walker it's even quicker) however I strolled down at a leisurely pace and explored all the way down. The flat is so cute, cosy and to me felt like a home away from home. Clean, tidy, with lovely great windows to let in a lot of light. Emma was absolutely lovely to meet and gave me directions to find the keys and offered a flexible check out time, so I could have a lie in. I had a absolutely fab time in Brighton and meeting and staying at Emma's was one of the highlights!

  • Really lovely little flat, perfect size for a couple. Great area away from the busy centre, but still only a 10 minute walk to the main shops and stuff. Brilliant corner shop close by (it really is brilliant). Great kitchen to cook in.

Our house and garden room are an easy walk downhill through Lewes, and there is an excellent limited stop bus service to Brighton from the top of our footpath. There are very good pubs and restaurants nearby. Lewes Castle and Ann of Cleves house are close with family-friendly activities. My place is good for couples .
The studio is well insulated and has good heating and overlooks our completely fenced garden.
  • Lovely hosts, great location and delicious breakfast.

    Magda2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is heavenly - so beautifully sorted with every detail a delightf from the decor to the fresh flowers and amazing home baked muffins and bread for breakfast. The bed was comfy, the location is good and Susan and Dennis are great hosts

    Nancy2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely overnight stay here. The accommodation is separate, beautifully designed and immaculately clean. Bed extremely comfortable. Some excellent conversation and a great breakfast, which Susan had gone to great pains to tailor to my present faddy diet, meant we were reluctant to leave and would be very happy to visit again. Thank you very much, Susan.

  • This Air B&B is a real sanctuary in Lewes. I was made to feel so welcome and the studio is in a beautiful position with lovely views and very well appointed and equipped. The breakfasts were delicious and my dog was made to feel very welcome too and he didn't want to leave in the end! Susan and Dennis went out of their way to be helpful, providing information on the town and helpful maps. I would say that the photos do not do justice to the quality of the accommodation. There was Wifi and a good phone signal and this was important to my stay. The town itself is very interesting and this provides an excellent base from which to explore it. I would highly recommend it and would have loved to stay longer.

    Mary2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had an excellent stay with Susan. The place was better than described - can't recommend it enough. It's a delightful bolt hole with everything you could need in one place - very comfortable with a high quality of finish. Susan and Dennis were also lovely hosts who provided an excellent cooked breakfast for us too.

    Luke2016-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Susan's place. Her husband and her were very welcoming, took the time to ensure we were comfortable and to plan our day in Lewes. Breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend.

    James2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely chalet in the garden with powerful shower, comfy bed and Downs view. Breakfast was first class with cereals, home baked bread and muffins and 'Full English' too! Sue and Dennis were very welcoming and thoughtful in providing games and books for our four year old grand-daughter. Parking space was also appreciated as these can be rare in Lewes!

    Anne2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect stay for our needs. Susan and her partner couldn't have been more accommodating, friendly and generous. We were greeted with tea, biscuits and a chat after a long drive and nothing was too much trouble. Would love to return and explore Lewes properly (which is an easy walk away). As another reviewer has said the photos don't do the cabin justice, which is roomy, well appointed and very comfortable; with a kitchen area and separate shower room. Highly recommended all round. Thanks again for a lovely stay. Steve and Jill.

Situated in a relatively quiet area close to queens park, this cosy chalet has 24 hour check-in. A good sized double bedroom, kitchenette (new for 2017), modern shower room and amazing air-source heat-pump air conditioning makes it very warm and suitable for all times of year. You will be just a 20 minute walk from Kemp Town and Brighton beach. Convenience shops, cafes and pubs are close by. A fantastic property for holiday goers, commuters and visiting tradesmen.
Situated in the grounds of a house close to Queens Park, this chalet is just a 20 minute walk from Brighton race track, Kemp Town and Brighton beach. Convenience stores, cafes and pubs are close by. The chalet has a generous bedroom, a kitchenette and a shower room. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed, a wardrobe, drawers, desk, chair, arm chairs, a coffee table, kettle, free sat TV and WiFi. The kitchenette has a cupboard with crockery and glasses, two burner hob, microwave + grill, sink and miniature fridge to facilitate breakfasts, take-away meals and light cooking. A perfect base for going out, holidays or business trips. Deals available for longer-term lets and visiting tradesmen.
It is a lovely friendly community with lots of family-friendly 'gastro-pubs' within walking distance. There are 3 lovely parks within a 10 minute walk so it is an excellent location for families with children. One of these has a fantastic new skate park for skateboarding kids (we have one in the family) and there are plenty of cafes serving lovely home made cakes! As well as the nearby beach, there are lovely walks on the South Down's and plenty of entertainment in the city centre.
  • Nice place up the hill, excellent walk to town and back, nice local bread shop and Londis, neat nicely decorated accommodation good value for the facilities ( you can cook, shower, digital tv etc). Host is good communicator and replies to emails quickly I can thoroughly recommend Wills' place!

  • Partner and I had a little getaway for her birthday and this little place was more than what we had expected. Adorable little chalet, and the layout is so cute. Got into the chalet easy with no problems since the instructions given were very clear. All facilities worked perfectly and a bonus that the kitchen came with all utilities, and the communication between myself and the owner was very polite and quick. Nothing much else to say apart from I highly recommend and will definitely be staying again soon. Full stars!

    Skye2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay. The chalet is in the corner of a garden - which can be a little difficult to find at first. As it is a chalet you can hear the noise from outside but in my experience this was not a problem after about 10.30 apart from the odd car. The Chalet itself is fantastic, a nice bedroom area with a comfy bed and a tv on the wall with freeview - a small kitchen area which has everything you need and a bathroom with a shower. So everything that you need for a stay. It is possible to walk into Brighton in about 20mins and a taxi back was about £6.50. All in all a good place to stay. William was also very helpful and a great communicator.

  • Great little chalet. 30 minute waæl from Brighton pier.

    Mads2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The chalet is perfect for my business trips to Brighton. It is very private, clean and tidy. The bathroom and shower are excellent. Heating/Aircon works well and the internet is fast. Will stay again.

  • Fantastic little chalet, myself and mom loved it, for our mother daughter time! Was nice and cosy, and had all the amenities you need for a long weekend. We felt safe around the area and getting into Brighton! Really enjoyed our time! So much to offer in Brighton make sure you check out the lanes for the evening menu offers and also the North lanes for the quirky shops!

Our home is warm and welcoming. The living room will be your private space while you're here. It's on the ground floor so you can come and go as you please. There's also a dining room with a piano and desk which you are welcome to use - perfect if you're needing to work. The bathroom and toilet are upstairs. Feel free to use the kitchen and sit in the patio garden. We hope you enjoy! I live here with my 18 yr old son, 27 yr old lodger, a dog and cat. It's a tranquil spot on a quiet road.
The living room is just that, but a separate room so you will never be disturbed. Currently the door to the room is clear glass so I put a tapestry on the door to give you privacy. Please note there is no lock. Help yourself to coffee and teas at anytime.
West Hove is quieter than Brighton, and less hilly! We are on the border of Portslade which is, er, 'up and coming' so a few more charity shops, a bit less trendy, but a wonderful safe friendly atmosphere. There are some nice coffee shops sprouting up, as well as antique and gift shops. Portslade Train Station is minutes away where you can get to London in less than an hour.
  • Amazing place, a few miles away from Brighton and Hove. Excellent bus and train links and not too far in a taxi after a night out. Julie was flexible with check-in times and provided a very welcoming experience. The room was big enough for two of us and extremely clean and tidy. Overall a great experience and would love to stay again.

  • A comfy and spacious room with sky and Apple TV. Great value for a welcoming friendly home! Julie is the kindest and a lovely host.

  • Had a wonderful stay at Julie's house! One of the best airbnb's I stayed at! The room is so clean and nicely decorated, the bathroom is very spacious, the kitchen is fully equiped. Julie is honestly such a lovely person and makes you feel right at home. I can't forget to mention her sweet pets. Would definitely recommend staying at Julie's warm and loving home!

The Shepherd's hut sits just on the edge of Firle, one of the South Downs most iconic villages. It is a very private space, in it's own little meadow, two minutes walk to the shop and three minutes to the famous Ram Inn with Lewes and Brighton nearby
the hut is in it's own paddock overlooking the south downs, close to the pub and the little village shop. From May to the end of September i will only take two night bookings and during the week end, in the week one night bookings are fine. Over the Christmas and new year period i will only take two night bookings and over easter two night bookings as well.

  • The hut was perfect for a day and night of solitude and focus. A calm space for contemplation, reading and writing. The woodburner kept me warm, and the view was lovely. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to escape to the country for a night or two. Peter is a kind gentleman who made me feel welcome immediately. A gem of simplicity.

  • Peter's shepherd's hut is so lovely, and it's situated in a really beautiful landscape. It's such a joy to wake up in the hut on a clear winter morning. It was freezing outside but the bed is so warm, and the wood burning fire keeps the hut cosy. Peter was so great and really helpful. We're just disappointed we couldn't stay longer.

  • The hut is just as ideally arranged as it shows on the pictures, providing a unique experience for all those who take pleasure in going back to basics. The view on the lawn with pasturing horses, under the hill from where you can gaze at the sea in the morning, and the small village with its beatiful church make up the perfect Sussex atmosphere. Highly recommended. And when you're there, don't forget to check on the books! Thank you Peter, wondeful staying
