Brighton Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Brighton

The room is on the first floor of a four storey house five minutes away from Brighton station. It is both centrally located and quiet. The shower room is on the same floor with sink and wc and shared with other guests.
My house is ideally located , close to city centre yet situated in a quiet street. Guests have access to a shower room, wc and sink and have full use of kitchen for preparing food and make a hot drink. Guests can also use the dining room table for laptop work and catching up with emails. I am very happy to share my knowledge of the local area, venues and events. Also I respect privacy for guest who simply want to use my home as a base. My house is so central to Brighton. Everything is within ten minutes walk, yet the road is lovely and quiet, as it's two roads up from the main road. Five minutes walk from Brighton station and three minutes away from major bus routes. I have one dog

  • Very happy with the choice we made!!! Aside the fact that the location is great (very close to the station, seaside and all the popular areas) Andrew is an amazing host. He knows and loves the city and he's very happy to give you tips and advice regarding places where you can have a good coffee or a meal. The house is very cosy and the room is nice and spacious, with plenty of books! The bed is very comfortable, and for us that is a good point. The bathroom is next to the room and although is shared it wasn't a problem for us. In the morning Andrew offered us a nice breakfast that kept us going during the day!!! In conclusion, the perfect choice to spend the nights if you go to Brighton. We will definitely repeat with Andrew!

  • This is my 2nd time staying at andrews in the library room and I'm due again in 4 weeks time. I love staying here, he's such a lovely man/host and its like seeing an old friend again. He puts you at ease, is welcoming and will help out in any way. He knew I love my coffee so told me of other places to try which is great as brighton has so much to offer and without 'insider' recommendations it would take me weeks to cover them all. Andrew has 3 rooms available to Airbnb, I've only stayed in one of the rooms but that was again lovely, clean and comfortable. He has 2 small wonderfully friendly dogs, they're not all over you but if you show them love they'll love you back. I was lucky enough to meet another guest on her way out (very relaxed sat in the dining room at the computer) and 2 other female guests staying in the suit downstairs, lovely ladies. I was apprehensive the first time what with me being a lone female but andrew puts you at great ease. His house is comfortable and homely, lovely breakfast and teas and coffees a plenty. Highly recommended. Thanks andrew, see you next month

  • Andrew is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The house is lovely and well set up for guests.

  • Andrew is really friendly and helpful. I love his lovely house and lovely dogs! My boyfriend and I enjoy the days there.

  • Andrew's house is perfectly situated near the train station and pretty much anything in the center of Brighton. The street is really peaceful and the neighborhood offers pubs and restaurants if you don't want to go back to the city centre for dinner. Andrew was so friendly, helpfull and absolutely charming. I felt instantly welcomed in his home. He gave me great advice about what to see and where to eat in Brighton and also outside the city. The room was very spacious, the bed so comfortable. Highly recommanded! Thanks again so much Andrew, you definetely helped making my trip fabulous!

    Marie2016-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The decoration in the house is really nice, and the toilet is well designed! Andrew is the friendliest host so far, and our needs were well taken care. The house has a well-stocked kitchen for the guests too. We love both the Westie and Scottie! :D

    Chen2016-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Andrews house. He is a very friendly host and for us everything felt like home. Andrews house is perfectly located for visiting all places in brighton by foot, for example: walk to the beach (5 minutes), walk to the famous North Lane (5 minutes), walk to brighton pier (10 minutes), walk to the trainstation (4 minutes), He gave us insider tips for sightseeing, food (vegetarian and vegan), shopping and lots more. A stay for the weekend or longer at Andrew´s :), Highly recommended !!!

Spacious room with its own patio, living area and bathroom.
. Very large room with sleeping and living areas well as a small bathroom. Access to very pleasant patio
This is a safe, and well tended neighbourhood.
  • Diana greeted at the door just as we arrived with a big smile and continued to be wonderfully warm and friendly. We were surprised at how large the room was and were sad that we were unable to make the most of the lovely little garden due to the rain. All three beds were very comfortable and had very good quality bedding (both of our children slept well....which is unusual!!) Diana very kindly allowed our children to play with her grandchildren's toys and use her ipad overnight which our babysitter was very pleased about too!! We feel happy to have found a place to stay that ticks all the boxes and will certainly return...and will find the lost pawn from the chess set that Stanley our son rolled accidentally under the bookcase! A wonderful relaxed place to stay with a genuinely lovely host.

    Sharon2015-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • The flat was good but need to be noticed that it's a basement. So maybe it's a bit dark and quite wet. Feeling a bit cold even in September because it's a seaside city. Other stuffs were all good. The landlady was kind and helpful, even provided breakfast for us.

    xi2016-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Diana was a very welcoming host and provided lovely accommodation. Would definitely recommend!

    Kitty2016-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Diana was lovely. 3 of us came to brighton and met up with friends who are residents for dinner/pub quiz and a few drinks. That meant we didn't get home until after midnight and Diana was absolutely gracious about that prospect when we enquired before hand. The rooms we lovely, and it is a very nice area of town. We got taxis into the main drag for shopping, food revelries - which cost £5. You could for certain get a bus (£2.20 each) or walk along the seafront! The breakfast was perfect (and i nice extra touch) good quality bread, with jams and cereals and teas and good coffee. All round a very nice lady and good host (p.s. she i knew that she was special when i spotted Chomsky books the movie big lebowski on her shelves xx)

    Hellen2016-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time at Dianas. The room was very comfortable and Diana is a very friendly host. Also the breakfast was great.

    Elfriede2015-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Diana made us welcome and we enjoyed having several chats. The basement room is light, spacious and peaceful (some people might want to note it is reached by steep steps). The room is ideal for a family. We were happy to have our breakfast left out for us in the dinning room so we could take it when we were ready. The room has lots of character with pictures and ornaments, and we appreciated tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits in the room . We enjoyed looking out onto the garden at the back. It was a half an hour walk into town, we enjoyed our walks and could have taken the bus. Meter Parking required 9am-8pm at £5 for 11 hours can be found nearby in Bristol Gardens. You are also close to the Marina.

    Laurence2015-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely base for our weekend in Brighton! Diana was very welcoming and we felt totally at home in the very appropriately described 'spacious room'. We had so much room which was great for three of us. Beautifully clean, warm and really well furnished - nice to have a sofa and chairs for relaxing in before our evening out. Diana was really helpful with recommendations for dinner/brunch and gave us maps and leaflets about Brighton. The room is well situated just a few minutes walk to the seafront and a little further into town but busses run very regularly if required. We wouldn't hesitate to return!

    Sally2015-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Diana's, the room downstairs is as it is described cosy and very spacious. At this time of year when night falls early, it was nice to have a place where to relax, get a rest while drinking a nice cup of tea before going back out to enjoy the Brighton nightlife. As for Diana, she was warm and friendly and we enjoyed our breakfast chats during which she advised us on what to do and what to see in Brighton, around Brighton and even in London. We found room to park the car for free not too far from her house so this is a great place to stay -for a couple or even a family of four _

Brighton is considered very bohemian and boasts a very diverse community with large student population and vibrant gay scene. Throughout the summer the city is buzzing and there are many famous events such as the Brighton comedy, fringe, music and food festivals and the Pride event in August. Brighton also has some of the best street art in the counrty and you'll find a few original Banky's dotted about. We are also just a 55 minutes train ride from London so it perfect if you are planning on visting London for the day. The city has many exciting attractions such as the Pavilion, Galleries, Museums, Theatres, Comedy Clubs, Nightlife, Restaurants and so much more. If you like shopping Brighton is also famous for the Lanes which has many boutiques style shops, cafes and restaurants where you will see many of the diverse mix of Brighton people hanging out and soaking up the unique atmosphere. Every year the city is growing and becoming more popular with so many things to do. There are also the beautiful Downs and country parks which are within sight of the apartment and are great for a hike or long walks to a pub lunch or cream tea. The local community has a Sainbury's supermarket 5 mins walk away, great fish and chip shop at the end of the street and a choice of local shops for take away, breakfast, coffee and a barbers and beauty salon too!
  • Fantastic communication by Peter & Seb right from the outset of the booking. Excellent information on what to do/eat etc A lovely relaxed atmosphere, excellent room and facilities. Breakfast around the dining table was a great way to start the day. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a relaxing weekend...

  • Peter and Seb were absolutely lovely to us, and the room and rest of the house was absolutely beautiful to stay in. It was an easy walk to the city center and we had everything we needed for the stay without any hassle! We had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

    Laura2015-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place. Would come back again. Unfortunately didn't meet Pete or Seb, but we found their character and personality in all the the intricate details the house is blessed with. Potentially the best cats in the world.

    Alex2015-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Seb were amazing hosts. They are really helpful and friendly. The house is very nice, exactly as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. Rooms have a good size and beds are very comfortable. Everything is clean and tidy and the breakfast they provide is really good. I would definitely recommend this place!!!

  • Had a short but sweet stay with Seb and Pete - both lovely, welcoming people. The attention to detail they have given to the space shows how much they enjoy hosting - would definitely recommend.

  • Peter and Seb were fantastic hosts, their house is warm, loving and very inviting. The room was exactly what you see in the ad, very happy to have spent my time here and would definitely stay again when coming to Brighton.

A lovely, secluded double bedroom with a new, fresh, white en suite bathroom, small private patio and own front door. Centrally located, two minutes walk to the sea, with the added advantage of parking and a delicious breakfast.
We are offering a freshly painted en suite double bedroom with a small private patio and own street entrance in our centrally located Grade 2 listed Regency house. Our house used to be a theatrical boarding house and the cast of the 1947 film BRIGHTON ROCK, including Richard Attenborough, who played Pinkie, lodged here. Period Living magazine featured our house in their September 2015 issue. The house is only 12 mins walk from Brighton station, close to all restaurants and nightlife and only 2 mins walk from the sea. Our knowledge of the area is extensive, my husband was born here. Breakfast is included, either bacon and eggs or Continental including homemade granola and marmalade. We would prefer two night bookings at the weekend but to make it feasible to accept single night bookings we do, reluctantly, charge a £10 cleaning fee, a small amount when spread over a few days. The bedlinen is pure Egyptian cotton, towels and Wi Fi are provided, as well as your own set of keys to your door. Parking is difficult in central Brighton, but we may have a free space for your car or day long parking vouchers for £4.00 a day. We welcome dogs!
Brighton is a vibrant, exciting small city full of restaurants, great pubs, quirky shops, excellent culture (comedy and music especially good) and of course the beach. Equally the Downs, for dramatic views and wonderful walks are only 10 minutes drive away.
  • Joanna is really kindness~ breakfast is good, the room is clean

  • Good location. Parking included which is a real bonus in Brighton. Very helpful & friendly couple. Accommodation a little dated but comfortable. Handy for shops, beach & town.

  • Joanna was a very friendly and helpful host. Lovely breakfast at her kitchen table with good conversation. Her home is well situated for the front and has the added benefit of parking. Comfortable bed too.

  • Great location, fabulous self contained room and wonderfully hospitable hosts! Highly recommended...

    Gavin2013-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Together with my wife, I've visited Brighton in a bright sunny summer day and we're so glad that we chose to stay at Joanna's place. The room we stayed in was tastefully decorated and definitely lived up to our expectations. You are right there at the seaside by taking a very short walk. This is another thing we liked about the house. Joanna and his husband were very kind and friendly and it was a real pleasure to have a short chat with them over the nice home-made breakfast.

    Mehmet Melik2014-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Completely agree with all the reviews here. A gem of a find, great location, helpful hosts & very comfortable bed! We'll be back!

    Nicola2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Made to feel very welcome by Orlando and Joanna in their lovely regency house very well positioned for the attractions of Brighton. Recommended.

    Frank2015-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Joanna & Orlando for a great stay! Joanna & Orlando's place is just as advertised; around 15 minutes walk from the centre of Brighton and close to the seafront. The room is actually like a self-contained apartment with its own entrance, so you don't have to tramp through the entire house disturbing people, which we liked. Joanna provided us with a delicious breakfast each morning of homemade granola, yoghurt, orange juice, toast, crispy bacon and eggs. Why stay anywhere else when you can stay somewhere like this!!?

This self contained one bedroom flat has its own street entrance & a small sunny outside area that has been decked. It is modern & well appointed, close to the beach & Brighton Marina. Ideally suited to couples but will accommodate three comfortably. ***PLEASE READ ALL OF THE LISTING BEFORE YOU BOOK***
The apartment is modern and comfortable with an open plan living, kitchen and dining area and good quality appliances. The kitchen leads to a small decked area with bench seating for 5-6 people. The shower room is en-suite and features twin sinks and powerful walk in shower with constant hot water. The bedroom has a double bed and a triple sliding door wardrobe incorporating hanging and drawer space. We are happy to accommodate a third guest for £15 (per night) on a very comfortable 'foldaway' bed with a full thickness sprung mattress (there is room for it to be left open or closed in the lounge if you wish, doing so frees up extra wardrobe space). Please bear in mind that the shower room is en-suite to the bedroom. There will be a one off £10 fee, plus £10 per linen change, if you wish to use the folding bed when there are only two guests. ***PLEASE LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE IF YOU REQUIRE THE FOLDING BED WITH A TWO GUEST BOOKING***
The flat is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of Kemp Town, a stone's throw from the beach with Brighton Marina Village a short walk away (10 minutes) and East Brighton Park less than 5 minutes' walk. Getting to the city centre on foot requires 30 minutes' stroll along the promenade, 25 minutes' walk through Kemp Town (if you ignore the many shops bars and cafés on the way) or 20 minutes' walk if a direct route is taken (via Eastern Road- this route is noisy with traffic and so we do not recommended it. That said, the Royal Pavilion is situated directly opposite the bottom of this road). Alternatively there is a regular bus service (7, 1 & 1a, bus stop around corner opposite Lidl) and Volk's railway runs along the beach in the summer. A Cooperative food store (open 7am -11 pm most days), a Lidl supermarket (open 8 am - 10pm most days)- a pharmacy and a post office along with a few local high street shops are just around the corner. There is a free cash machine outside the post office and another one inside the Co-Op. A 24 hour (Sunday laws apply) Asda supermarket, along with many shops restaurants and bars, can be found at the Marina Village (10 minutes' walk or no. 7 bus). Parking in Rugby Place is resident permit holder only. There is free parking nearby (3 minutes' walk away) as we are on the edge of the controlled parking zone. If you prefer we can supply daily passes to park on Rugby Place for £5 per day. To drive to one the free parking zones turn left out of Rugby Place then first left, first left and then first left again. There is a footpath that leads back onto Rugby Place which brings you out at the top end of the cul-de-sac. The 'end of zone' signs you will see indicate where this and other various free parking areas start.
  • John warmly welcomed us at their place. The flat was right below where they live but we hardly ever heard them and John was very helpful whenever we ran into problems. For the amount of space as a whole floor, the kitchen was wonderfully spacious with a nice lounge/dining space and minimal but efficient bedroom/bathroom. Amenities were very well prepared with everything we could think of. Great working central heating, good speed wi-fi in the dining/living room. Location is not in the town centre but the bus stop is very close by, and if you prefer a nice stroll its still walkable :) Very much recommended for your stay in Brighton.

    Rie2015-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a great basement apartment. John was kind enough to meet us and show us round. The attention to detail is excellent. Giovanni and John have a talent for knowing the range of facilities and provisions that make a short stay excellent. Good coffee, some chocolates and a splendid kitchen, and lots of bathroom and shower fragrances and soaps. The flat is warm, stylish and there is a great double bed for a very comfortable night's sleep. The buses into Brighton are frequent. The sea is a few minutes walk and there are lots of supermarkets in the vicinity. A really lovely base for a visit to Brighton. Thanks John and Giovanni.

    Alexandra2015-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • John and Giovanni have gone above and beyond to provide guests with a comfortable and pleasant stay. The flat is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. I arrived from Melbourne quite late but John was kind enough to greet me at the door and show me around. The added touch of leaving some food, treats and a towel for my dog was very thoughtful. The kitchen was equipped with all the essentials, including good coffee, tea, fresh bread and milk. The flat is warm, stylish and has a great bed for a comfortable nights sleep. Thank you for a great stay. Rene

  • We had an awesome time in Brighton and the apartment of John & Giovanni is amazing!!! Very clean, modern and equipped with everything necessary, John & Giovanni are very nice and could recommend us a lot of things. A Lidl and a bus station to the city are just around the corner - 2 minutes by feet.

  • We've been at Lorraine's in August, all was perfect! The flat was stunning, very clean and tidy! We came back very tired at night and Lorraine offered us a glass of wine and a couple of chairs to enjoy the amazing view from the roof!! Every morning a cleaner comes by and she is lovely as well. I would advice this room to anyone looking for a relaxing time just 15 mins walk from Brighton centre. Hope to see Lorraine soon again!!

Lorraine ensured that we had easy access, were given all the info we needed and were made to feel welcome. The flat is very clean and modern - and the free parking for the car was a bonus!! Communication was superb. Thanks Lorraine.

  • Both the host and hostess were very welcoming and friendly. From the time we entered the apartment to the time we left we felt very comfortable and looked after. The apartment was spotless and had all the facilities we required, we were even offered a glass of wine on arrival! We had the option of a healthy breakfast both mornings and were given ample space to feel that we could treat the apartment as our home for the weekend. Both had vast knowledge of Brighton and so were able to give us directions and information on where to drink and eat. The apartment had a nice view so on a clear day you could see the Isle of Wite. A big thank you to you both xx

  • Very nice small double bedroom which was perfect for two of us for two nights, living out of our suitcases. The flat was very clean and the bed was very comfortable! Close to the train station and there is a Sainsbury's just around the corner. London Road is three minutes away, which is full of bars, shops and restaurants. Jamie and Sonny were delightful hosts - we were made to feel very welcome. We highly recommend this accommodation!

  • Tamara was a wonderful host. Helpful and welcoming with a spotless apartment. Well positioned with bars, restaurants and shops nearby. Tamara was easy to get hold of throughout and was very accommodating.

  • Loved our stay at Tamara's place, clean, comfortable, good location easy to get to the beach, short walk to bars, shops..we will recommend and return...

    Mark2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Tamara's flat is gorgeous and really well decorated in a modern simple fashion. The bathroom is a lot bigger than it looks in the photos and has a shower head as well as the bath. There is sky sports and full sky box which is nice to have if it's rainy and you want to chill on the comfortable couch. There's are quiet a few really lovely (independent) coffee shops and pub/restaurants a stones throw away. I bought take-out breakfast from The ground (4 minutes away) it had diary free, gluten free and vegetarian options that are really good. There's a burlesques establishment close by that I didn't visit but is supposed to be really good fun. There's a cheap car park (Blackrock) less than 10 minutes away from the apartment. To park all day it's less than £10. You can stroll into town and it'll take less then 15 minutes and is really pleasant. Tamara was great and let us check out late and was so easy going. Great stay

    Jade2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice apartment in walking distance to main city. Highly recommended .Tamara's communication and assI stance is second to none

    Mark2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • We never met Tamara, but she responded instantly to all our emails, and let us check in much earlier than first planned - even before the check-in time stated in the house rules. The apartment was clean, airy and we felt very much at home. We had the pool area to ourselves every time we went down. The small veranda was sunny for almost the entire day, which was a nice surprise, and it overlooked the pool area. Great location, easy access to shops, busslines, taxi, beach, a variety of take-out/restaurants within few steps from the front door.

A bright, spacious, double room, in a large house, in central Brighton: just off the A23, on-street parking (metered daytime), buses, trains & taxis, great local shops, pubs, cafes, fish & chips, art-cinema, chemist, an ATM, a big local park & more. Brighton Beach, and Brighton's great shopping areas etc, only about 20-30 mins walk or short bus ride. The two main-line train stations are also 20-30 minutes walk. The local train station (London Road) is only about 5 minutes walk.
"If at all possible, 'please, please' read as much of my 'notes', in this and other sections, as you can. I have tried to be as thorough as possible and answers to many questions will be there." Your room is quite large, with a comfy double bed, handy wash-basin, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk lamp, floor lamp, mirrors, TV/DVD player and a kettle. Free tea, coffee and sugar is available in your room. Sometimes there are biscuits! :) There is usually fresh dairy, soya or almond milk in the fridge in the kitchen, which you are welcome to use. The 'current' opened milk is always in the fridge door, the new, unopened milk is on the fridge shelf. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the house/maisonette, and an ethernet connection in your room. Facing East, your room looks out onto the garden, which you are also welcome to use. The room is bright and sunny in the mornings. I have recently purchased a new floor lamp to aid reading in bed. The window has a venetian blind. The room has a lock-able door, which you can lock from both the inside and the outside . On very warm days a large fan is available. If you are staying more than one night (or only for one night), I have a Parker Knoll armchair you might want to use. Please just let me know, and I'll put it in the room. It's rather large, but comfy. Also, if you are staying more than one night, please let me know if you'd like me to empty the rubbish bin everyday, and clean the sink etc, or just leave everything until after your departure. When I stay somewhere I like to know that none of my stuff's been disturbed at all. Thanks. If you have any questions or special requirements, please just ask.
The house is located in the Preston Park area of Brighton. Although this is not 'on the seafront', which some people are looking for, the area has many great features, charms, and 'must go-to' places! Guests so far have remarked that compared to other areas of Brighton, it is nice, quiet and peaceful at night. However, if the seafront and nightlife is what you're looking for, they are only 20-30 minutes walk (obviously depending on how fast you walk, and where you want to go!), and the excellent shops start only a few minutes walk away. A bus ride will take you to all of these places much quicker, and being double-decker buses you will have an excellent view! Preston Park is a very large municipal park located only one street away, and is very popular with locals and visitors. The park hosts many of Brighton's iconic events such as the 'Brighton Pride' party at the end of the carnival day (though it usually ends at around 11pm), The Brighton Marathon 'Start', and many other events and celebrations! The park has a lovely rose garden, wildflowers, two excellent cafes, Tennis courts, Boules/Petanque playing area, bike track (velodrome), cricket pitch, and two very large open spaces, where football and many other sports are regularly played. Near the park there is also The Rock Garden (sometimes called The Rockery, Or Rookery), an ornamental garden with many beautiful plants and wildlife, including some exotic fish. Well worth a visit! Also nearby on 'Preston Drove' is Preston Manor and church, which used to be owned by the Stanford family, but is now open to the public. Also well worth a visit!

I have a double room to offer in a bright and clean, Victorian first floor flat on a very quiet road in Hove. Lots of genteel pubs, restaurants and coffee shops around, 10 mins walk from the sea front.
Large, bright and airy first floor, 2 bed flat in a quiet part of Hove. The stairwells are cleaned weekly, the fires alarms tested weekly, all of which is covered by a building service charge I pay every month. The flat is in a communal block in a large Victorian building, so obviously noise must be kept to a minimum. (..not suitable for lad or lasses on stags or hens for example...) Carpet is brand new as of September 2015, so please shoes off when in the flat... Thanks..:))
Super quiet flat, 10 mins walk from both the seafront and Hove railway station. Loads of smart restaurants, coffee shops and some lovely pubs within a short walk of the flat. Brighton is 10 mins on a bus or a 25 min walk.
  • Jamie is a very friendly person. Everything is clean and tidy. In the bedroom you have a TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. You can use this things. The bed is really comfy. Inadequate a great time and would book it again.

  • We had such a great stay! Not only is the apartment very comfortable and in a great location, but Jamie is a fantastic host as well. He offered to pick us up from the bus station, greeted us with tea and biscuits, offered use of his laptop, and even set us up with his projector to watch movies. He is so friendly and great to talk to! The apartment is quiet but still close to restaurants, grocery shops, and the beach. It is quick and easy to get to Brighton from there. The room is very warm and cozy with a comfortable bed. Jamie made us feel at home, opening up the living room and kitchen to us. We absolutely recommend staying here!

Jamie is a very friendly and caring host who is always there to help and support. i can certainely recomend staying here. When you get out of the building you can see the seaside at the end of the street, just what I came for :-) There are many cool places to eat and do shopping in that area but it is never annoying or crowded.

  • Good value for money if the people were quiet. Unfortunately I did not get a good night's sleep as people came late at night. Another worthy note is that it is at a busy road so expect traffic noises.

There’s also a secure bike rack behind the entrance gate for those wishing to explore Brighton from the top of a saddle. Ship Street runs north/south with the seafront at the south end and the famous lanes towards the north end and we are located half way between the two with the seafront just 150 meters away from your front door. If you arrive by car or taxi - there's plenty of room outside to pull up on the pavement and unload right outside our front door. Just don't leave the car unattended as you could get a £30 parking fine.
  • Central location with good and friendly hosts. Slightly firm beds but over all great value for your money :)

  • Loved the place! It was right in the middle of town, where the Lanes are, which made things so convenient and we were surrounded by all things we wanted to visit! Also very close to the Brighton centre, which is where we went for a concert. Very close to the beach too. Great place.

    Noel2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was Just perfect, Thank you a lot for staying in the apartment! Perfect location (the lanes) And perfect apartment for 2 persons! Really clean and all of the stuff looked like new!

  • Such a lovely studio , me my husband and our two children (age7&9) stayed. Location is brilliant right near the lanes and pier . We had so much fun. It can be a little lively in the evening but we will all be returning again to stay so didn't put us off. Some great restaurants right on the door step. Communication was brilliant and we had no problems . Thank you James

  • Great apartment. So central and with everything you could want/need. 4 of us stayed and it was perfect, I would defiantly recommend.

    Nicola2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Three of us stayed for 3 nights in studio 1. Everything was perfect. The hosts, the location and the apartment were all amazing. Clean, comfortable and central. Thank you so much.

  • My first Air BnB experience - future places have a lot to live up to! Apartment was great, clean, amazing location, and comfortably slept 3 of us. A great little base in the centre of Brighton. Although we didn't spend much time, you easily could - its nicely furnished, modern and really cosy. It also felt very safe, and although they warn you of potential noise at weekends, our stay (mon-wed) was very quiet. We met one of the hosts when we checked in who was really lovely. We also had a little problem with the sofa bed but they emailed back very quickly and were really helpful despite it being 'out of hours'. Great all round, thank you!

.....To get you in the seaside mood I offer a quiet beach themed double room, on the ground floor of an Edwardian building very close to Brighton seafront. My aim is to provide all my guests with a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced place to stay in a fantastic location, to use as a base to explore wonderful and exciting Brighton. A continental breakfast of croissants, yoghurt, cereals, toast, orange juice and tea and coffee is included in the price of your room. There are tea and coffee making facilities and a toaster within your room. In the room there is a flat screen digital TV, free fast broadband Wifi connection and a fridge. This room is a good size so it can accommodate up to 2 people comfortably, also there is a wardrobe so there is more than enough storage space. All towels and bed linen are provided, should you require them there are laundry facilities and use of an iron and ironing board. The apartment is located on a very quiet, friendly street just 10 minutes bus ride from Brighton station. Take the number 27 bus (approx £2) towards Saltdean from Brighton Station, bus stop A. Get off the bus at the Burlington street bus stop on the seafront at the bottom of my street (Burlington street) The beach is only 2 minutes walk away. If you are coming by car please see the 'getting around' section, this will explain how the parking near to my place works. The city centre and the popular Lanes area are only 15 minutes walk. Here you can find the cosmopolitan cafe culture or browse the quirky and colourful independent shops and boutiques that make Brighton famous. This area is also where you can find Brighton`s best known landmark, The Royal Pavilion, here you can also find many theatres, bars, restaurants and other places of interest to visit. Brighton`s world famous Pier is 10 minutes walk along the seafront, here you can enjoy roller coaster rides and all the fun of the fair. If you go in the other direction along the seafront, about 20 minutes walk or 5 a minute bus ride you can find Brighton Marina. This is a great place to visit as here there is a lot to do and see. Why not take a drink in one of the bars and restaurants on the board walk overlooking the harbour and yachts? There is also a Casino, a Cinema and a Ten Pin Bowling and Kiddies Games Complex. Every Sunday morning there is a car boot sale, so there is definitely something for everybody. I look forward to welcoming you to Brighton, Gary
....I love living in the Kemptown area of Brighton as it has a village feeling. There are many coffee shops, traditional English Pubs (where you can enjoy a lovely Sunday Roast Dinner), restaurants, antique and other independent shops. It`s only a 2 minute walk to the beach and the city centre is just 15 minutes walk away.
  • Gary was an excellent host, very welcoming and a nice guy. He helped us with parking and what places are good for food. Very happy with our stay and defiantly recommend him and be visiting again.

  • I stayed at Gary's after cycling the London to Brighton. Gary was cool enough to let me bring my bike indoors which was very cool. The room was perfect for my needs, super clean and convenient. Breakfast was great and the local info is a nice touch. Gary was very flexible in terms of check in and out. A five star stay, thanks again.

  • Gary's place was a 5/10 minute walk into Brighton centre. His place was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Gary was very helpful on giving us tips on where to go and places to eat. We had a great couple of days and would defiantly return!

  • Gary was a polite, helpful and informed host. He was really helpful in telling us about Brighton and provided an excellent place to stay. The flat was was in a fantastic location, a walkable distance from the city centre, up the road from the beach and on a quiet street. The room was exactly as described. The bed was comfy, wifi fast and the breakfast, with fresh bread and drinks, was a fantastic additional feature. Would fully recommend to anyone looking to visit Brighton.

  • Gary was very kind, he received us, explained how worked everything carefully and took some time to tell us about the city, where to go and even to show us where the vegetarian restaurants were! the breakfast was also good and abundant.

    maria2016-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Gary's place was my first AirBnB experience and I was impressed. The room was an amazing value for the quality and location. The bed was the most comfortable I had been in the two other hotels I stayed at in Europe. Gary was courteous and had an amazing assortment awaiting me for breakfast. Highly recommend!

  • Chris made me feel welcome on arrival and understood I was in Brighton to catch up with friends so it was good to come and go as we pleased. Great location, very clean and tidy place. Exactly as described in the ad and photos. Would certainly stay again and recommend it for anyone spending a weekend in Brighton.

  • Chris is a very easygoing and flexible host. Although we didn't see him that much, we felt very welcome. We could drop of our luggage before check-in time, which really helped us out! The place is great for a short stay in Brighton if you don't mind sharing the kitchen and bathroom with the hosts. The room is exactly as described and within walking distance from the station and city centre.

    Annemarie2016-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was very flexible in welcoming us to his place, as we couldn't say when exactly we'd arrive. The attic room is spacious with 2 beds, and a shared bathroom. Parking can be a problem, but I soon found a place around the corner. Chris and Shaun keep lots of info material for guests and pointed us to some options. A good organic breakfast can be had at Joe's cafe around the corner. A very nice place to explore Brighton's follies!

    Christian 2015-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We felt very welcome on Chris and Shauna's upstairs bedroom. It was very cozy and exactly what we needed after our journey over from Belgium. Both of them were really helpful and nice and we enjoyed our stay to the full extend. In short: It was lovely and we would definitely come back.

    Lisanne2015-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was an excellent host and sorted out our keys and parking permit, the room was nice and clean. The house is in a great location to explore Brighton which was fantastic on a sunny September Sunday> Thanks for a great weekend.

    Doug2015-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time staying at Chris and Shauna's. The room was very big and I had everything I needed in the house. Due to train delays, I was very delayed arriving but Chris and Shauna made sure I could still get in and had everything I needed.

    Tom2016-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice room on the roof top with an extra cosy bed! Perfect location in Brighton, very quiet and everything interesting within walking distance. Parking in front of the house. But the best are Chris & Shauna, very friendly, organized and they keep the house very clean! We will definitely stay again when we come back to Brighton!

Centrally located one bedroom flat in converted Victorian house. Great location, only 10 minutes walk to the train station and the centre of town. Flat has high ceilings, some period features, kitchen, living room and one bedroom. The bathroom has a freestanding bath and separate shower. Situated in the Seven Dials area of Brighton, with local pubs and restaurants at the end of the street.
Beautiful Victorian one bed flat, located on a sleepy tree-lined residential street, very close to all amenities. Just 10 minutes’ walk to the centre of Brighton and very conveniently located for Brighton’s main rail station. The flat has very high ceilings and large windows letting an abundance of light in. It has a calm and relaxing feel. It is on the first floor of the building and has a kitchen, living room, one main bedroom and a bathroom coming off the bedroom. The bathroom is very spacious with a free-standing bath tub and also a standalone shower. The kitchen is well equipment for cooking and preparing meals, so suitable for those guest that may want a night in and cook. The living room has a wood panelled wall. The flat is in the Seven Dials area of Brighton, there are fantastic restaurants and bars at the end of the street, where you can mix with locals and experiment with becoming a Brightonion for a bit. The flat would best suit couples wanting a relaxing break in Brighton or business / solo travellers who would prefer to stay in a home rather than a hotel.
The flat is in the Seven Dials area of Brighton, or "The Dials" as it is known. It takes its name from the seven roads that branch out from the main roundabout. It is only a few minutes walk to the centre of town, but a little ecosystem of its own with a number of great restaurants, cafes and pubs. Here you'll get a chance to mix with locals kicking back after work or on the weekend.

  • I spent a great couple of days in this beautiful house and received a very warm welcome from Norma and her family. The bedroom was beautiful with an extremely comfortable bed with quality bed linen. The location is perfect - just a 5 minute walk from the station and close to Brighton's main attractions and shops. I slept very well and breakfast was excellent both days. I will defintely stay here again - so much nicer (and better value) than faceless hotels.

  • As shown on photos. It is a lovely large double room. Clean, well presented and very homely. Central, 2-5 mins walk to local shops and key places(The Lanes, Brighton Station, Church street, Pavillion, etc... Quiet neibourhood. Great value for money. Norma has been a fantastic host to us. Very nice and friendly. She made us feel welcome and at home. I would definitely recommend and book if I were to stay in Brighton again.

An elegant apartment which can accommodate up to six, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms; one an ensuite, this apartment also benefits from a courtyard. Although extremely central this victorian property is located on a quiet residential road.
This apartment is a very welcoming space and has been finished to a high standard. There are two double bedrooms, one with a king size bed which benefits from a roll top bath ensuite. The second bedroom is a spacious room with a standard size double bed, all beds are incredibly comfy. The huge sofa can be arranged to accommodate a further two by using quality memory foam mattress toppers, this has proved comfier than a standard sofa bed. There's a well appointed main bathroom which has a drench head shower/bath. The kitchen houses both an integrated fridge, dishwasher and has all mod cons to be expected except a microwave, it benefits from a Rangemaster cooker. There's a separate utility cupboard which has a washing machine, tumble dryer and small freezer. There's a Sony 3D TV, Tivo box, DVD player and docking station for iPod etc...
Although incredibly central; being only a short walk from the station, beach and city centre, it's a quiet residential area.
  • Beutiful flat! Loved it. Easy to find, pick up key and had a fab short stay!

    Catherine2015-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay in Brighton. The flat is in a beautiful area and is absolutely immaculate. Beautifully spacious and spotlessly clean. The host was very quick at coming back to us with any questions. An excellent stay would definitely stay at this property again.

  • Everything about the home was fantastic. The facilities were excellent and the decor was a constant topic of conversation. There were six guests and it never felt crowded due to the spacious living room and kitchen. Eleanor and her friend who looks after the property were very accommodating in allowing us to check out a little later than stated, which was very much appreciated. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family!

My place is close to the centre of Brighton and two minutes from Brighton Pier and the beach, close to restaurants and dining and nightlife. You’ll love my place because of the closeness to everything! the stylish apartment is in a Grade 2 listed Regency Town House with two single, linked beds in the main room and a small double on the mezzanine. My place is good for young people who are happy to share, and for young families. The mezzanine is part of the main room and has restricted height.
The room has gorgeous Georgian proportions, and a mezzanine level creates another sleeping space with its own small double bed, clothes storage and spot lighting. The main room has two single beds which are linked together and can be used separately if required. There is also a room safe and internet wi-fi. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided.
  • Overall, this was a good stay. The property is nicely decorated, beds very comfortable, good supply of tea and coffee as well as some breakfast snacks. Tv works etc and a very clever use of space. The only bad things were the lack of cooking utensils so we couldn't use the hob available and the host was not clear on check in and so we were waiting for an hour outside unable to contact the host. The restaurant downstairs had the key but this had not been communicated to us. The staff in the restaurant were very helpful. On check out we were told to leave the key with them but they were closed so this wasn't ideal.

    Elizabeth2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was fabulous and Izzet was a charming and attentive host. Thank you so much!

    Elliot2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is conveniently located to restaurants and pier. Our kids enjoyed the easy stroll to the ocean. Communication was good and check in fine. It is noisy at night, but that is the trade off with staying right on the main drag where there are many places to eat and hang out. There were good black out curtains for sleeping in (although we had to leave early). My main complaint is it wasn't very clean and it is showing wear and tear since the photos were taken....

    Julie2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Izzet is a nice and helpful host. Apartment is clean and Cozy in a nice neighbourhood

    Lars2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Izzet provided a very warm welcome and I can thoroughly recommend his restaurant downstairs which served great food with fantastic service. The room is well located to local amenities, the beach and to the centre of Brighton.

    Mark2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent host went the extra mile to accommodate us and let us drop off bags early as we had a wedding to attend. This also meant we would not be around to obtain the keys so he even came out in the evening to let us in after we'd been to a wedding! Would definitely reecommend any property

    Jodie2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great little space for myself & three friends, ideal location & price !

    Miriam2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Good central location in Brighton. Perfect as a base for exploring the city. Walking distance to the beach, the Lanes and the train station. Very clean and bathroom very modern. Towels were provided but shampoo and shower gel weren't. The flat was a little snug with 3 people staying and there are quite a few steps to walk up to get into the flat. The mezzanine level has a particularly low ceiling, which means you can't quite stand up on this level. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk were provided along with biscuits which was a nice touch. However, we were unable to get the hob and microwave to switch on or work, so only had use of the kettle. Television came with access to Netflix which was a plus. Overall a pleasant place to stay, if a little tight for space.

There is an additional charge for a third adult but kids (7 to 10) are free (no children under 7 I'm afraid). Nicknamed 'the lighthouse', the accommodation is situated on the top floor of our family house separated by its own door. It comprises of a large loft double bedroom (with shower), a landing and a toilet and a small living room with TV and a comfortable pull-out sofa bed for a third person (or child). The double bedroom has a superb view, and the folding window opens out to your own personal roof-top terrace [see Special Notice in 'Other things to note' below]. From this hilltop vista, rooftops descend downward to Brighton Palace Pier and the sea. You are asked not to smoke inside, but you can smoke on the terrace. The room has a south-facing sloping roof which affects the bed only, but is something tall people need to take note of. The sitting room (on a lower level), has a large TV and sofa bed and its own picture window offering a lovely view over the rooftops and down to the sea. The accommodation is completed by your own walk-in shower room and separate toilet.
You’ll love the immediate locality: our house sits at the top of a famous rectangle of terraced streets comprising of pastel coloured 'dolls-house' style buildings that climb the hill from fashionable Kemp Town and nearby Edward Street. The streets on this rectangle frequently appear in TV, movies and commercials! A few doors away from our house you'll note a distinctive old church (now a Greek Orthodox Church) and nestled close to that a lovely early 19th century farmhouse sitting alongside the gleaming glass of the brand new American Express building. A minutes walk up the hill behind us and you'll come to a pub called The Setting Sun which boasts the best beer garden in Brighton (an afternoon suntrap with views which stretch outward to Worthing; on a very clear day, its possible to see the Isle of Wight). For children, a brilliant playground is just 2 minutes away in the form of Tarner Park which also contains a circular flint-building constructed in the mid 19th Century as an observation tower so that a wealthy merchant (Edward Tarner) could see his cargo ships in arrive the English Channel on route to London. From our house, ten minutes walk eastward brings you to the very splendid (and expansive) Queens Park, perfect for kids, for picnics by the lake (its little cafe-hut cooks really good homemade cake and scones). Ten minutes walk southward takes you across Kemp Town's busy St James Street (full of shops, cafes and bars) and onward to the beech and the Palace Pier. Ten minutes walk westward takes you past the Art College, Brighton Pavilion and into the city centre where you can choose to divert to the youthful, arty North Laines or to the traditional 'Brighton Lanes' with its windy ally ways of antique, jewelry and curiosity shops (not forgetting the sweet shops and the notorious 'Choccywoccydoodah').
  • It was so nice to stay in their house. The family are so friendly and kind, and Ady, in particular, helped us have a nice holiday. His breakfast was amazing!! All his hospitality made us want to come back to Brighton and to say with them again. Thank you so so so much !!!

    Kim2017-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with a lovely sea view, less than a 10 minute walk to the seaside and to the shops & restaurants. Loved our stay and didn't want to leave!

  • Julia and Ady were amazing hosts, and the suite is absolutely beautiful. It has not one, but THREE views of the sea, as well as a private balcony. My hosts had thought of everything and so the suite was equipped with anything you might need, even a picnic blanket and binoculars! They made me a lovely breakfast each morning and would arrange a time with me to leave it at my front door. I can't recommend this truly unique place enough. It's beautiful, clean, cozy, close to everything, and offers a one-of-a-kind view of Brighton. Thank you very much! I will be back!

    Rose2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little loft space, with its separate living room and bedroom looking out towards the sea and pier. The cake when we arrived and breakfast in the mornings were just perfect. Within easy walking distance of Brighton centre, but at the same time in a very quiet area.

    Tom2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • What's not to like? Comfy beds, splendid views, a shower with constant hot water, and a fridge for the cool stuff. Add to this simple breakfasts with the best ingredients, and hosts with warm generosity of spirit. I would highly recommend this lovely Brighton loft space.

    Kathy2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very special loft with a lot of charme: the hosts are very attentive and generous and everything went smoothly. The loft was really beautiful, comfortable and located close at the city centre/beach. All rooms offered a wonderful view of the ocean. Breakfast was very delicious. I can only recommend this place to everyone staying in Brigthon!

  • We have just come back from a fabulous one night stay at Julia and Ady's exclusive apartment in the Kemp Town area of Brighton. We were able to check in early and had a very warm reception from Ady. Parking was easy with the visitors permit and we were lucky enough to get a parking place right outside! The apartment is totally unique with lots of lovely personal additions and some great views of the sea and the pier. It was lovely to be able to step out onto the roof terrace which I imagine would be great in the summer. Ady baked us a lovely lemon drizzle cake and left us a bottle of prosecco in the fridge. It's the thoughtful touches like this that really make for a unique, personal experience. There is a spacious wet room and separate toilet with small sink downstairs. There is plenty of space with the extra downstairs area. The ceiling is very low on one side of the upstairs room but my husband slept on this side and it wasn't a problem for him as he is only 5ft 4! Ady bought us up a delicious breakfast at an agreed time of fresh coffee, orange juice, warm rolls and croissants which was very good! I highly recommend this unique find. Thanks Ady and Julia and look forward to seeing you again soon.

  • Ady was a terrific host! Lots of perks like a freshly baked cake, breakfast in the morning, and a bottle of champagne were a treat. He was very helpful with our questions and extremely accommodating. Lovely home! Wish all airbnbs were like this.

This is my smallest room and has a wall of Disney mugs. It's at the top of the house. There is a shared shower room the floor below and towels and breakfast is included. The room has a double bed, bedside lights, television and a little hanging /storage space. Guests may use the dining room for laptop work or for preparing meals.
The room is small and is at the top of the house, so there are two flights of stairs. I provide a dressing gown, towels and breakfast.
My home is in a relatively quiet street. My home is close to all that the city has to offer. There are 800 places to eat within a walk of my home.
  • Such a great host and perfect place to stay. Breakfast was the best thing ever. Everything about this air bnb has been great and suited our needs perfectly. We were suspicious of the perfect 5 star rating but after staying with Andrew we can see why everyone speaks so highly! Thanks for a lovely weekend and for all your kind hospitality :)

    Michaela2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Like so many tha have written before. Andrew is the most perfect host. His house is perfectly located. Its comfortable and I had access to everything I needed. Nothing was too much trouble. His friendly and supportive approach is simply brilliant. Ive already booked to return!

  • I pleased That I have stayed with Andrew he wounderfull and very very flexible and got two dogs and he said to me "make your slef st home so I did " Andrew you needed a world map to get a location of visit ...

    Alex2016-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • I could not have asked for a better, more attentive or more thoughtful host than Andrew. Everything from start to finish was flawlessly planned and everything I might need considered - from an extra hoodie when the weather turned, to a bottle of water and biscuits in my room. Breakfast included was an amazing added bonus - have I ever seen so many types of cereal and jams?! Andrew was friendly, considerate and full of great suggestions as he is so knowlegable about Brighton. I had the best afternoon on his suggestion at a vegetarian restaurant called Iydea, and shopping in North Laine. Andrew even made dinner for us in the evening and we had a great time chatting with other guests and friends over a cold beer - above and beyond what I expected. The location is perfect; five minutes from the station and ten from the beach. The room was immaculately clean and tidy, and the house is decorated beautifully! So many interesting things to look at on the walls and every room has a different feel. Loved it from start to finish. If you're looking for a friendly, caring host, great value, and excellent location, come to Andrew. You'll have a great time!

    Kerry2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Another lovely stay at Andrew's. Cosy and friendly environment, warm and welcoming with even more decorations!

    Gwen2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic airbnb - can't imagine ever finding a better place to stay!! Andrew went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. But at the same time I didn't feel like I was an imposition or in the way, and I had my own space. I didn't want to come home - could happily have stayed for longer!

    Kate2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew is ever so nice and attentive! I had a lovely stay!

    karen2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew really is a superhost. Cosy little Disney bedroom. 5mns walk to the sea. Calm area. I slept great. Nice to share breakfast time in the morning with other guests. Thanks again Andrew for letting me leave my luggage all day before returning the key of your house. Keep cool !

Come and stay in our beautiful apartment on the sea front in Kemptown. Close to some incredible bars, pubs and shops in Kemptown, a short walk to North and South laine, the pier and seconds to the beach. A basic breakfast is included of Fruit, Muesli, Toast or Eggs - but you'll have to make it yourself... sorry :)
Plenty of space for relaxing, working and cooking if you wish.
We love Kemptown. Just around the corner is Brighton's best Cabaret club, 2 of the best pubs in Brighton within a 5 minute walk and the Flea-market which you can lose yourself in for hours! Some strange antique shops, bars and clubs open til late, a wide range of small restaurants serving fresh and healthy food and an amazing bakery. Further east you've got cliff walks along the beach, reachable in just 10 minutes walk past the Marina and, if your brave, swimming in the sea - just 1 minute away. Or further afield, you could head out to the south downs which is a short bus journey east.
  • Great hosts, eclectic interior, interesting vinyl collection we'd stay again

    Norman2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great little well lit basement flat right on the sea front. Chic style apartment, beautiful modern bathroom with giant bath tub and classy kitchen :) Bed was soooo comfy! The room got slightly hot in the evening as the window would't open? The walk to the pier is quite the distance (20ish minutes there and back) so would keep this in mind when going back and forth to town. There isn't a return bus ticket and so its £2.20 each way for a 2 minute journey so plan ahead! We found finding the flat quite difficult as a couple of street buildings were marked with the same sign of flat numbers, however Jack stayed in contact and helped us as soon as he could. Beach location is lovely and host was very welcoming too :) Would recommend for an affordable short stay in Brighton :)

  • Jack's apartment is in a great location and is lovely. Jack was a really helpful host. We shall definitely be back soon!

  • Jack and Emily are a great and welcoming host. Super helpful and the location is really central and beautifully located at the boulevard.

    A.H.2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a comfortable double room in a lovely apartment. It's really homely and Jack and Emily were great hosts - very flexible on check-in and warmly hospitable, but very unobtrusive. The location is great with an easy walk along the seafront to the centre of town, and the parking rules were easily managed. Highly recommended!

See Saw Sea is a strictly no smoking property but smoking on the terrace is fine. One of our reviewers said “You won't be disappointed! The communication from booking was amazing, no questions were left unanswered and details provided were above and beyond. The property was amazing, everything and more you could hope for. It's location was spot on, close enough to get to everything but discreet enough to feel like you were away from things when you wanted to be." Go on treat yourself! You have the whole house to yourselves and your own front door - we will email you the keycode number by midday on your day of check in for the keyless door and everything will be ready for you. What you enjoy at See Saw Sea is your business, not ours, that's why you don't even meet anyone to check in and out. The keycode to the front door will be emailed to you usually by midday on your day of check in. Brighton is the most vibrant seaside resort in England. Just an hour from London, it is a thriving, cosmopolitan city with a Bohemian spirit; home to an exuberant gay community, a dynamic student population and a healthy number of ageing and new-age hippies, as well as traditional candyfloss fun. Brighton is a fantastic city and See Saw Sea really is in the thick of the action. There are great bars, clubs and restaurants on your doorstep. Brighton is famed for its nightlife and the LBGT and straight communities can be found seamlessly mixing right across the city. If it's exclusively gay you’re after, Brighton offers some of the best lesbian and gay bars and clubs in the country. From hard house to camp classics, you’ll find something to get you going every night of the week. Most of Brighton's alternative clubs and bars are located in the city's ‘Gay Quarter’ in Brighton’s Kemp Town – a compact strip of pubs and clubs just moments from See Saw Sea. The house is close to the many things to do in Brighton. Try to include the following in your trip: The Royal Pavilion is the UK's most eccentric royal residence. Its Indian-style domes and minarets look as outlandish today as they did when it was built nearly 200 years ago by John Nash. From November until January there is an ice skating rink in the gardens of the Royal Pavilion. Brighton Pier still has all the old-time delights of the English seaside – fairground rides, candy floss and rows of striped deckchairs. Set in the Royal Pavilion's stable block, the Brighton Museum & Art Gallery has a glittering horde of 20th-century art and design, including a Dalí sofa modelled on Mae West's lips. The i360 gives you a magnicent view of the city and the South Downs. A sunset "trip" is definitely recommended. The Brighton Sea Life Centre is the world's oldest working aquarium. Its 150 marine species include sharks, which you can see from below, thanks to a clear-walled underwater tunnel. Once a fishing village, the maze of narrow streets and alleyways that makes up the Lanes is today home to jewellers, gift shops and boutiques selling everything from antique firearms to designer shoes. The shopping gets even more diverse as you go further along Bond, Gardner, Kensington and Sydney Streets into the North Laine shopping district. There are great bars, clubs and restaurants on your doorstep. If you're looking for somewhere quirky and funky you can't do better than Bom-Bane's - it's about 6 streets west of the apartment on George Street - it has the loveliest, craziest tables (lift the pepper pot on one of them, press buttons on another to light up a beautifully-built fully-lit pier complete with waves under a glass table, other tables do secret things) and the nicest lady Jane Bom-Bane runs it. Mucky Duck on Manchester Street - again towards bottom of St James's, on your left hand side - has great art, is very dark, usually good DJ Friday and Saturday. Black Dove is your local - it's at the bottom of Devonshire Place, turn left and it's on the corner of St James's and Rock Gardens. It's a Brooklyn beer bar, is very busy, has a funky DJ downstairs and candles that look like they've been there a hundred years. If you like real ale - the Hand in Hand is Brighton's oldest brewery - cross over from Black Dove and continue down St George's Road and it's on your right hand side after about 5 minutes. So if you like pub crawling! You could start in Hand in Hand, then heading towards town: Sidewinder, Black Dove, perhaps nip left for a cocktail at Brighton Rocks, Block, St James's Tavern for a Tuaca, Mucky Duck, Plotting Parlour - and you're still less only a 5 minute walk from home! Eating-wise - there's so much choice. 64 Degrees in the Lanes has been open about a year now - lovely food, desserts are amazing. The Salt Room is the new buzzy place - book well in advance though as it's usually booked out at weekends. It's near the Grand Hotel. Set at Artists Residence serves fantastic food - thoroughly recommend. It's in Regency Square in Hove. In Kemp Town village, there's our favourite 24 St George's and The Ginger Dog. Buses are fantastic in Brighton, with numbers 1, 1A, 2, 7, 37, 52 and 18 all stopping at Devonshire Place. The train station is just a number 7 bus ride away or a 15 minute walk, and trains to London are regular and take an hour. Ferries to France from Newhaven (8 miles away) are regular and take 4 hours. We hope you have a memorable, wonderful time.
  • A Birthday to remember. Superb little house close to all amenities. Having said that we didn't leave, too much fun was being had inside. :-)

  • Clever concept, Brighton is an exciting venue.

    Donna2016-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. Just wow. Look at the photos and read the reviews as hey are all spot on. Marina's communication skills are second to none. Adored the place and had the most amazingly couple of nights . No complaints whatsoever and I'd go back anytime. Many thanks Marina. My only regret is I didn't get to meet you to say thanks in person x

  • Easy check in with the automated system and great little spot

    John2016-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Marina's house for one night as a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday. He absolutely loved it as did I! The booking and organisation was amazing, completely faultless! Marina was amazing and brilliant at keeping in contact. She even put a bottle of fizz in the fridge for us to celebrate - so thoughtful and a wonderful way to start our stay! Having a keypad entry system was great as there were no issues with collecting or handing back keys. And all the little touches of providing real coffee, robes and towels shaped like swans on the bed made it a really brilliant stay! The place is incredible, spotless and just perfect. It is spacious and so well kept as well as being very luxurious. It is even more impressive than the photos! Luckily it was sunny when we visited so we had a drink on the roof terrace which is a great addition to the house. The location is also fantastic, so easy to get to and from the train station and also right on the front by the sea! A truly fantastic host and an amazing house - I would highly recommend staying here if you get the chance! I look forward to returning in the future! :)

  • Very nice central location, had everything we needed and more

    Chris2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • The word 'wow' is how I describe this sexy place. It is compact but full of little quirky and luxury details. Although it is designed for couples in mind, I was a solo traveller and loved it! It felt like a treat. Milk was even bought for me for my arrival which was such a sweet thought. I initially had a few difficulties with all the details through email but these were dealt with immediately and the communication was superb. Thank you again x

    Monica2015-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic few days in Brighton and See Saw Sea was the perfect little sexy place for our mini-break - exactly as in the photos. Communicating with Marina was a doddle and access via the door code easy. Parking was slightly easier than I thought thanks to the parking permits arranged for me. The place is very close to the seafront/beach and pier and only a short enjoyable walk to The Lanes.

  • This was my first experience of using Air BnB and if all were as a good as this then I'll be using it for a long time! Calandra was great from the moment I booked with fast responses and great communication. The accommodation was amazing and made our trip to Brighton even better. Great funky decor, clean, centrally based and esay to get too. Would highly recommend staying here!

  • I decided to take a trip to Brighton for my birthday this year, having previously lived in Brighton I'm very familiar with the area, however, Calandra made herself very available if I needed to ask her any questions! The apartment was a perfect, fun environment to have a few drinks and get the night started! The attention to detail with decor is amazing, and we all had a great time with the hula-hoops and juggling equipment available! Calandra also left a bottle of fizz and some malteasers for us which was a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome! I'd defiantly be recommending this listing to friends and will be sure to stay again in the future! All in all a great find on airbnb! :)

She responded quickly to any questions we had and she gave some really good tips on things to do in Brighton. We would definitely recommend her place!

  • Amazing. Private car park, no access to the general public, your car couldn't be more secure. Also fantastic location, smack in the centre of town, literally perfect. We were treated so well, the host went well out of his way to accommodate us. Very grateful. Will definitely use again!

My flat overlooks lovely Queens Park. A quiet, residential area a short walk from the livelier Kemptown with its shops, bars, clubs and the seafront. It is suitable for singles, couples and business travellers.
  • We stay in James house for 3days and everything was good!

  • James and Jed are friendly. It was a nice stay though the location is a bit far away from the city centre with an uphill walk.

  • Nice room in a lovely neighbourhood, quiet but really close to the city centre. James is a nice host. Recommended place for a stay in Brighton!

  • One cannot stress enough the hospitality of the host. No doubt a trait acquired from his stay in Greece! The room is modest, but clean and in any case adequate for the average visitor. The neighbourhood is quite and close to a park. It is, however, located on a hill, which would discourage visitors returning to the flat on foot after a day in the city. A regular bus service runs to and fro the city centre, which will solve that problem.

  • Our stay at James has overall been really nice. The flat is not that close to the city centre but there's a bus stop almost right in front of it which solves that problem. James was a really friendly host always offering his help and his dog Jeff was very calm and quiet. Unfortunately we couldn't access the kitchen as we wished for to cook ourselves some meals, so you should rather plan to eat-out when staying here.
