Beautiful at any time of year & it's free entry. The Botanic gardens also have some interesting Glass Houses (charges apply here) a couple of ok cafes & restaurant. 8 bus goes past East gate.

The Water of Leith runs from the Ratho at the west of the city (airport) to the historic port of Leith, & passes through several old villages on the way. A lovely way to explore the city.
