Food Scene

This is our favourite brunch spot! The menu changes, but it's always good! We've enjoyed the shakshuka, the smashed pumpkin, and the huevos rancheros. Their smoothies are also great on a hot day!

If you want cheap, massive portions, this is the place for you. Great Lebanese food (falafels, dips, and halloumi pies). The only potential downside is no alcohol!

The margherita pizza here was rated the best in the world in 2014 and us Melbournians wear this as a badge of pride. It is a little bit more expensive than most pizza places, but if you want a traditional thin crust Italian pizza you won't be disappointed! (Chris recommends the 4 Formaggi!)

Drinks & Nightlife

We're a little biased because Chris's brother owns the bar. It's really novel for their wide whiskey selection and self-dispensing wine machines. They also host (approximately) monthly events where you get to sample a certain spirit, such as a variety of gins or brandies. Really laid back and good vibes!

Nice beer garden. Great place to hang out and have a few drinks or some small plates before going out.

Big space with a beer garden out back. But we think the highlight is the food. ;) We're both vegetarian, which means that we don't always have access to the same comfort food that meat eaters get. The Cornish Arms has lots of great greasy, heavy, delicious classics, such as parma, souvlaki, etc. as well as their vegan counterparts.

Parks & Nature

If you want to get a little exercise, Princes Park has a nice 3.1 km loop. Very pretty, and not too crowded unless you're there right after work.

You can do all you basic shopping here: groceries from Coles or Woolworths, essentials from Kmart, plus there are a couple general stores and an Asian supermarket for Asian food.
