It houses a a one-half mile scenic loop trail along the Deschutes River and three cascading waterfalls, with interpretive signs featuring pictures that illustrate the history of the area. Glimpse the old Olympic Brewery from the lower falls. In spring, the rhododendrons, one of many native plants in the park, add beauty to the area when they bloom, generally around early May.

5 mile hike. Take a picnic and explore its many nature trails, let your kids play on the playground, or simply relax and enjoy the surroundings. Originally the site of a church and mission, the park is now an excellent place for birdwatching, hiking and wildlife-spotting. A steep trail heads down to the beach, which is a fascinating place to play at low tide.

This tiny park just north of the City of Olympia covers 50 acres and features a trail leading to 1100 feet of beachfront wandering on Budd Inlet. The trails here boast rhododendrons in the spring and Western Washington's signature lush greenery all year round. In addition to views of Puget Sound, you'll also enjoy a glimpse of the dome of the State Capitol and the majestic Olympic Mountains to the west.

I love this park. My favorite. I first went here because I was told this place is loaded with bats at night. I would say maybe 5-10 in the evening. Lots of seals and Sea Lions on the floating docks in the water. Lots of birds, oysters, eagles. You can even Kayak there. I bike here several times in the summer on the Chehalis trail.
