Transportation is simplified when you take the famous Bay Shore Ferry to any of the Fire Island Beaches. Bay Shore Ferry services the most popular beaches on FI: Ocean Beach, Ocean Bay Park, Saltaire and Kismet. Check schedules here. There’s even a water taxi option for those who prefer to travel off-hours.
There is nothing like Fire Island! It's a bunch of small communities on the beach, no cars allowed, and a casual and relaxed lifestyle. Take a ferry over or Uber/park your car at Robert Moses State Park field 5 and walk there. DON'T SKIP FIRE ISLAND!
