Entertainment & Activities

For Skiing, I would also highly recommend Les Contamines Montjoie, it has , in my opinion the best conditions and are a favourite among the locals, the queues are less on busy days and there are also great view of the Mont Blanc! The only negative is that it is north facing so it gets a little colder when it is windy.

Really nice Spa, perfect for a good day skiing. The healing properties of the spa is well documented and the recent renovation gave the whole complex a facelift. the day pass to use all the spa/hammam is well worth the investment. Be sure to call in advance for booking, especially for massages as they are in high demand!

A convenient ski equipment hire shop perched on le bettex. There are also ski lockers for hire where you can leave all your gear after a long day in the mountains. Good quality gear and personal service as well.

Food Scene

If you worked up an appetite. This is the place for wonderful French food. Flame grilled steak is also a must after a good day out at the mountains. The lady who runs the restaurant speaks English.

Parks & Nature

A really nice lake with views/reflection of the Mont Blanc Summit. A loop around the lake is 2.3km and a nice relaxing place for a picnic, weather permitting. The frozen lake is also an interesting spot for skipping stones in the winter.

A very secluded lake that is truly magical. Well worth the drive! It's high altitude makes it an interesting spot to see this emerald lake. Closed during winter though and it is quite a windy road leading to this hidden spot.
