It's like walking into the home and kitchen of the couple who run it. Authentic fresh Vietnamese dishes. A real treat in a little hole in the wall. A real price performer too! In business for over two decades and a house favorite. Open for lunch and dinner. Closes in between meal services, so best to confirm opening times for your party. No reservations needed. Take out available.

It's a little bit of everything, food, deli, lunch, bakery. But the best part of it is the ride through the gorgeous farm scenery and pastoral views to get there, and then, the treasure at the end of the rainbow, which this spot embodies in demonstrating exactly how farm to table SHOULD work. A real gem. And Delicious.

During some seasons, they play discount movies, but mostly they feature musical productions - ballet, symphony, popular and other groups. Worthwhile to check and see who is in town. The theater is the oldest continually operating in NY State dating from the 1800s. After show, you can duck around the corner to the Brasserie 292 for drinks and dessert, and feel like you've stepped into a Paris cafe.

Eleanor's place and it's worth the price of the tour ticket. Order it in advance. Docents are great and the tour is short and won't eat into your day. You can see and experience everything in an hour. I try to visit at least once a year. It's inspirational.

The earliest existing private garden created by one of America's most celebrated landscape designers. Not only is the landscape at Bellefield historically significant, it is a testament to the efforts of a dedicated group of modern gardeners and the stewardship of the National Park Service at the Roosevelt-Vanderbilt National Historic Site. Acquired by the Federal government in 1976, Bellefield is an elegant 18th century house remodeled by famed architects McKim, Mead and White for Thomas and Sarah Newbold. It now serves as the regional headquarters for the National Park Service, which manages three sites in Hyde Park: the adjacent Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Eleanor Roosevelt’s Val-Kill, and the Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site.
