City advice

Customs and culture

Due to our eastern-european heritage, romanians kiss (twice - once on each cheek) when they meet.

This is a local custom that applies in case of: friends, family members, old acquaintances that haven't been seen in a while, greeting someone at a party, girls greeting each other, the local mafia. Kissing is not happening in case of: tourists, work colleagues on daily basis, business relations (except local mafia), acquaintances.
Getting around

The subway is the fastest transportation means in Bucharest, but Uber is the best.

Avoid taxi-drivers if possible.
