This is a must see if you have children! Even if you don’t, it’s a beautiful setting to enjoy a glass of wine in their cafe/restaurant area.
This is a lovely place to visit with or without children. My husband and I have visited the Barossa chocolate factory without our two children and had a very enjoyable lunch together in the restaurant area with a glass of wine. We then proceeded to browse around the store and chocolate making area. A must see!

You can enjoy the magnificent river views from the Swan Reach hotel. Enjoy a meal in the beer garden where you’re even closer to the river or simply have a quiet drink with friends and family outside or inside in the main bar.
My personal recommendation is to sit outside as the view outside is spectacular and very relaxing.

The First Drop is just around the corner from The Chocolate Factory so there’s something in it for the kids as well 😊

Page drive is monitored by security cameras so please be respectful and ensure you watch out for children on bikes etc. In addition we ask that you stick to the boundaries and do not enter anyone else’s boarder line.

Getting around
Car, ski boats and river vessels
Getting around is mostly by car as Blanchetown is a very small community. However in the warmer months (October - April) most people tend to use their personal ski boats to travel to hotel and pubs.

Wave to our locals! When driving along it’s a given to wave
In Blanchetown community, the locals are friendly and welcoming. Please say g’day to our neighbours if you see them or a simple ‘hey mate’!
Don't miss
The Murray Princess
In the mornings you may look out of the balcony to see historical Great Murray Princess paddle steamer on the river. This is an iconic and historical boat which is still running after many decades. A great icon of the River Murray.
What to pack
Towels/sheets/pillowcases/quilt covers and face washers.
Make sure to be aware of 🐝 stings if you’re bare foot on the grass
