The largest Mayan ruin in Belize. It's claim to fame is conquering Tikal! About a 2 hour drive from our property... but you get to go through the Mountain Pine Ridge to get there - a gorgeous drive, and lots of places to stop including waterfalls and caves.

Our favorite Mayan ruin. The oldest in Belize, and possibly the oldest in Central America. Very small and gives you a better sense of how the Mayan lived.

Take a 3-4 hour pontoon boat ride on the man-made lake (due to the dam) and visit 4 different waterfalls. Jump from the waterfalls, walk behind the waterfalls, or just soak in the beauty! One of the best kept secrets in Cayo.
