Family favourite, waterfalls changes every day, depending on levels. Always worth the effort. Can be a bit slippy, but well maintained by national trust. ( charge for parking) can park in lay-by on lakeside before and walk to start, no charge and open all the time.

A place worth a visit. Beatrix potter wrote many of her stories whilst staying here. Restored gardens how Mr Macgregor would have them. Great atmosphere, great food and interesting art work too, oh and dog friendly.
