Getting around

My Favorite Hiking Trails

1) The most popular: Diamond Head, Koko Crater, Lanikai Pillbox, and Makapu Lighthouse. 2) Kaena Point Coastal Trail. Beautiful sight, sound, and scent of the big waves, three monk seals along the way, and countless albatrosses at the Natural Preserve at the tip of Kaena Point. Highly recommended. Mid-afternoon could be the best time to go to have the benefits of the shade from the mountain. Otherwise, it could be hot. 3) Waimea Waterfall Trail. You should combine this with spending some time at Waimea Bay. 4) Kuliouou Ridge Trail. Nice views along the way, and the grand reveal at the end
