Beaches

All the best local beaches
Porth is a lovely sheltered beach perfect for young families. Lifeguarded in summer, it is protected by two headlands so rarely gets any surf making it the perfect paddling spot.

One of the best beaches around for surf lessons and water sports! A short 5 minutes drive, or a beautiful half an hours stroll along the coast path gets you there. Also some great choices for lunch or dinner.

At low tide this is a favourite spot for crabbing off the little bridge across the estuary. At high tide the water rushes in and the locals rush down with their stand up paddle boards and kayaks! Why not take a SUP lesson?

A short 15 minute drive away, you’ll need to get their early on a sunny day to park, but it’s well worth the effort. We recommend sledging down the dunes!

Sightseeing

For a day trip we would recommend visiting St. Michael’s Mount. About an hours drive but once you are there you can either walk across the causeway or catch a ferry depending on the tide, and see if you can find the giant’s heart!
