The walk along the cliffs are great for the soul and you can also choose to walk along the beach if you prefer. Reculver Towers are the opposite way from the car park but the beaches below are great for finding sharks teeth and fossils. There is a great park for the kids and a cafe to grab a hot drink or an ice cream. Reculver is only about a 20 minute drive from Whitstable.

The most beautiful Castle in the world and the grounds are just as beautiful from stream walks to feeding ducks. The kids can run off some steam in the play parks, crazy golf or the Maze and if they can't make the walk back then you can hop on the land train back to the car park. You can hire Segways to explore the grounds too. Outside of Leeds Castle there is a Go Ape treetop trail too.

A little further out but still under an hours drive is Hever Castle with its many different beautiful gardens, 3 mazes (including the water maze so bring a towel and change of clothes!) and play parks, this is a perfect place to enjoy the sun and have a picnic on the lawn.
