This is a fun, free place to see elk. There are quite a few elk here and they are massive. It's a great little spot and worth the stop.

There's a kids museum, mini golf and go-karts all together in this little spot. The museum is great for kids. We love the go-karts. Kids under a certain age (maybe 10 years old) have to ride with a parent. It's fairly inexpensive, my kids love this gem.

Longer hike, but one of our favorites in the fall time. The fall colors are spectacular.

This is a longer drive from Gaylord, but this National Park is amazing. Endless sand dunes, overlooks, picnic areas and hiking trails. We make a point to go here once a year.

This is an incredible hiking spot. A hidden gem. There is a beautiful overlook which isn't too far from the parking lot, or you can choose home a few miles. Its one of my favorite hikes, especially in the fall.

The SlyBrosge is truly amazing. It's the longest timber tower bridge in the world. It's is beautiful all year round. At Christmas time they decorate the bridge with 150,000 Christmas lights. It's a must of you are I'm this area. You take a chair lift ride to the top of the hill, walk across the bridge, where you enjoy food trucks, Then make your way back down.

We recommend A alanche Bay Water Park for those cold or rainy days. It has everything from hot tubs to lazy rivers to water slides. There is a restaurant attached and towels are provided.
