Neighborhoods

Washougal, Washington is 20 minutes from the PDX airport. The Columbia river flows along its side and the Washougal river runs through this town. The town has great views of Mt. Hood in Oregon on clear days. The different seasons are enjoyable here like the warm summers, changing colors of the leaves or rain in the fall, the occasional snow in winter, and the beautiful flowers blooming in the spring. The location is close to the Iconic Gorge area that has many waterfalls, bridges, dams, restaurants, parks, hiking trails, and rivers. This area is Historic because this is where Lewis & Clark traveled while exploring.

Don't miss

Columbia River Gorge Waterfall loop

Make the loop from Bridge of the God's to the 205 Bridge. Cape Horn Skye lookout has an amazing view of the Columbia River Gorge. There is limited parking on the busy highway so be safe. Pay to hike Beacon Rock. Bonneville Dam is interesting, beautiful and free! It is a fun way to see the fish swimming up the fish ladders through big windows. Pay to go over the Bridge of the God’s. Stop at Eastwind ice cream and try a giant cone. Stop on the Oregan side of the dam if you want to see the long sturgeon. Go see as many waterfalls on the Oregon side of the Columbia River that you can.

All other Beautiful Waterfalls- Columbia River- Oregon

Many waterfalls you can see from the Historic Columbia River Hwy, others are a mile hike in to see. Latourell, Horsetail, Wakeena, Bridal Veil, Oneonta, are some of my favorites. Bring hiking shoes & a water bottle.
