Everything Else

Gwithian is one of our favorite beaches in Cornwall. Fantastic long sandy beach when the tide is out, often good surf too! Godrevy Lighthouse made famous by Virginia Woolf is visible from the beach.

Potager is a cafe and reclaimed garden. The food is locally sourced where possible and very tasty. It's a few miles away from us but worth the drive for a nice lunch.

Gylly Beach is a blue flag beach, it is very safe and does have lifeguards in the season. It is an easy walk to Swanpool beach along the cliffs. There is a crazy golf course at Swanpool and a cafe.

Nice to have a walk on the pier, eat a Falfalafel (best street food in Falmouth) and then catch a boat trip to St Mawes for a look around the castle and an ice cream.

Lovely but very busy coastal town. Two main beaches, one of has surf. Lots of art galleries including The Tate. Do it by train from Redruth or St Erth to avoid having to park in St Ives.

The Minnack is a wonderful place to visit and has some interesting shows through the summer months. The scenery in West Penwith and around the Minnack is stunning.

The area around Pendeen, St Just and Morvah is very beautiful in an unusual and wild sort of way. It has a very interesting past and the mining engine houses can be clearly seen.

Lovely beach and easy to walk to Land's End from there. By walking from Sennen you can avoid having to pay to visit Land's End.

Maenporth is just outside Falmouth, it is a lovely walk from Gyllyngvase and Swanpool along the coastal path. There is a cafe on the beach. There is also a pub called The Cove which does great food.
